[A/N] Sorry for this late update, I've been on placement for three weeks so I've literally been out of the house from 7am until 7pm and then having to work when I got home, but I was dying for a break from work so I thought I'd do a little writing. Here goes!

The next day, Blaine felt like he was floating on air. He grinned at every customer as he walked into work, greeting them with good mornings. He swept into the cloakroom and hung up his coat, cheerfully tying on his apron and clocking in before heading out to work.

"Someone's cheery this morning," Mel chuckled as she finished serving a customer.

"It's a good day," Blaine argued. "The sun is out, Harmony didn't lose any shoes this morning, I had a hazelnut shot in my coffee; what could be better?"

"Oh yeah? Are you sure your good mood doesn't have anything to do with that massive hickey on your neck?" Mel asked.

Blaine's eyes went wide and his hands immediately flew to his collar, pulling it up to hide the hickey. "I didn't think it was so noticeable."

"Are you kidding? You could see that thing from space?" Mel reached over and brought his collar up a little more to hide it. "So? Details? You finally lost your virginity?"

"I don't know if you noticed, but I have a child at home. I think that's evidence enough that I lost my virginity a while back," Blaine replied.

"You know what I mean," said Mel.

"Do we have to talk about this now?" Blaine sighed, nodding in the direction of the queue of customers that was slowly growing.

"Fine, but don't think I won't hound you for details later!"

The day seemed to drag a little after that. Blaine was still chirpy, but as time went by he got bored of making the same old drinks for the same old people. Until around 4 when the door swung open and Kurt glided in, his black boots clacking on the hard flooring and his smile enough to make Blaine's heart flip a few times. Blaine immediately began making Kurt's drink before he'd even reached the counter.

"Well hello there, gorgeous," Kurt greeted him.

"Hello to you too! Good day?" Blaine replied.

"Fantastic day!" Kurt grinned. "And I'm going to tell you all about it over dinner."

"Why, Mr Hummel, are you asking me out on a date?" Blaine joked, raising a hand to his forehead as if he were swooning.

"I most certainly am, Mr Anderson," Kurt replied.

"You two are so sappy!" Mel piped up. "Hi Kurt! Nice artwork."

"Artwork?" Kurt questioned.

"Yeah, that piece you left on Blaine's neck. Pretty sure that could frame that and sell it for millions. It's big enough anyway." Kurt and Blaine both flushed at the comment. "I'm gonna leave you two love birds to it." And with that she whisked off to clear some tables.

"She's been harping on about that all day," Blaine said, his cheeks still pink.

"Well, I'll admit it is pretty noticeable." Kurt tilted his head, as if admiring the hickey. "But I like it." Blaine cheeks flushed impossibly darker. "So about that date? Tonight?"

"I'll ask my mom if she can babysit as soon as I'm done here," said Blaine, handing Kurt his coffee. Kurt handed back the exact change and gave his boyfriend a smile. "Are we celebrating anything in particular?"

"You'll find out later," Kurt replied. "Now if you'll excuse me, I've got some phone calls to make."

Blaine watched as Kurt left, his heart still somersaulting in his chest.

"You two are adorable." Blaine turned to see Mel back from clearing tables. "I knew you would be."

"I don't think I can even put into words how grateful I am that you went behind my back and got Kurt to ask me out," Blaine replied. "I never would have had the guts. I don't even know how I could ever repay you."

"That smile is repayment enough," Mel grinned. "Also I want to be maid of honour at your wedding." Blaine laughed and nudged her with his shoulder.

"I'll remember that."

Blaine rapped on Kurt's door, a bunch of flowers in his hand and a smile on his face. It wasn't long before Kurt opened the door, shirt sleeves rolled up and a cloth in his hand.

"Blaine! You look amazing. Are these for me?" he babbled, before wrapping his arms around Blaine's neck and place a quick kiss on his lips.

"No, they're for Rita next door. Of course they're for you, silly," Blaine replied, holding the flowers out to his boyfriend.

"They're beautiful. I'll go find a vase. Now come in. I've just finished dinner." Kurt took the flowers and moved out of the way to let his boyfriend in. "Would you like a drink? I have sparkling water, soda, juice?"

"Sparking water sounds perfect, thank you," Blaine replied, toeing off his shoes at the door. Kurt whisked off back into the kitchen and Blaine sat himself down on Kurt's sofa. His eyes skimmed the photos on TV cabinet. There were lots of photos of Kurt and his family, a huge framed photograph of Kurt with his mother as a little boy, and some new additions. A couple from days out with Blaine and Harmony and, Blaine's favourite, a picture of the three of them at Cooper's wedding; the two men had Harmony stood between them, hands linked and grinning.

"Here we are. Now take a seat at the table and I'll bring dinner through," said Kurt, as he placed both of their glasses on the table. Blaine sat down and peered at the bottle on the table. Kurt had put out a bottle of non-alcoholic champagne.

"Okay so I've stuck with what I know and done tagliatelle because I know we both like that and we know what happens when I try and cook something I don't know well. And for dessert I made chocolate moose because you told me it's your favourite," Kurt said as he walked into the room carrying two plates and placing them on the table.

"It sounds lovely," Blaine replied. "Thank you."

"Anything for you, my love." Kurt grinned at his boyfriend.

"So... champagne?" Blaine questioned as they dug into their dinner.

"It's non alcoholic," Kurt assured him. "I triple checked. I just wanted something a bit more special."

"Do I get to know what we're celebrating now?" Blaine asked.

"I'll tell you over dessert. But for now, I want to hear about your day!"

They both chatted away as they ate their dinner, Blaine telling them about how Mel had teased him rotten about the 'artwork' on his neck and how they had had a very fussy customer who insisted he must wear gloves whilst making her soy latte because there was a possibility he may have come into contact with something dairy and she was lactose intolerant. Kurt chuckled along to the story and admired his boyfriend as he babbled on, the way his eyes lit up as he talked about the highlights of his day and the laugh that escaped his lips every so often. They moved to the sofa for dessert, giving them a chance to sit close to one another.

"Do I get to find out now?" Blaine whined as Kurt presented dessert. He was right; chocolate moose was Blaine's favourite. At least, Kurt's chocolate moose was.

"Well I guess so," Kurt chuckled, after swallowing his mouthful. "Okay, so you know how we've been getting a lot more business lately?" Blaine nodded. "Well Elaine who owns the shop has decided to move our location to a bigger store upstairs. She's going to hire some more designers and people upfront to help and she wants me to be the head designer!"

"Really?" Blaine asked, taking Kurt's hand and giving it a squeeze as he grinned. "That's great news!"

"Yeah, she said I'll get a pay rise and I'll be working similar hours so it won't be much of a change. And I get more vacation time!"

"That's amazing!" He leaned in and gave his boyfriend a quick peck on the lips. "Oh my god, this is brilliant!"

"And, I've been thinking," Kurt said, placing his bowl on the coffee table and placing an arm around Blaine's shoulder so that he could lean in properly. "Once Harmony is done with school for summer, and if you can get time off work, maybe we can go away for the week. Just the three of us. Like a little family vacation."

Blaine could barely respond; he was smiling so hard his mouth hurt. He moved his own bowl away and leant into his boyfriend, kissing him firmly. The way Kurt had worded it - 'a little family vacation' - made his heart hammer in his chest and his tummy flutter. "Of course," he replied. "Of course we'll go on vacation with you oh my god, I'd love to." He gave Kurt a deeper kiss, snaking his arms around Kurt's neck. "I'd love to," he murmured against Kurt's lips. "God, I love you."

Kurt stopped, his forehead still against Blaine's and his breathing suddenly heavier as his heart sped up. "You do?"

"Of course I do," Blaine replied. "I mean it's okay if you don't but I couldn't stop myself from saying it because it's you and I can't help myself around you and the way you were talking and you said-" Kurt cut Blaine off with another deep but quick kiss.

"Don't be stupid, of course I love you too, you idiot," he chuckled. Blaine let out a sigh of relief. "Does your mom have Harmony for the night?"

"Yeah, she said she'd drop her at school in the morning because I didn't know what time I'd be back," Blaine said, running his fingers through the hair on the back of Kurt's head.

"Will you stay here tonight? I just want to fall asleep with you again." Kurt dropped another quick kiss onto Blaine's lips, unable to resist.

"I would love to," Blaine chuckled.

They spent the night cuddling and kissing, whispering sweet nothings to one another. They didn't go any further than they had, knowing they had all of the time in the world. They fell asleep in each other's arms, glasses of non-alcoholic champagne left on the table and whispers of 'I love you' growing quiet.
