"Huuuh, whaddya mean, Hiro?"

The seaweed haired first year had a sort of but not quite pout on his baby face. The boy next to him, your beloved brother, gave a toothy grin.

"I mean, wouldn't it be fun to go to the School Festival together, Kirihara? 'Cus the Senpai-tachi have their lame second year duties!"

You can't help but give a small smile at your brothers antics. Another time, you'd have told him off for downplaying the important job your senpai held (Second and Third years of the Tennis club had decorum matches for the festival, leaving you first years free to enjoy the festivities.) But this was a special occasion.

"But why that day? The festival is held for three weekends, ya know. You act like this us the last chance you'll get to go!"

"..H-uh? You're just imagining things dumbass! Right, sis?"

Hiro turns and looks plaintively at you, hoping for you to go along with him.

Turning your eyes away from Kirihara, you nod and give off a small laugh.

"We can go anytime, but there's a class stall I want to see that won't be on the other days!"

"Yeah, Kirihara! You gonna break Name's heart and not let her see her darling crush? ~~"

Saa, your onii-chan had such imagination, didn't he? Kirihara looks confused, between you and your brother.

"How come I didn't know 'bout this?"

Before your brother could come up with a 'witty' reply, you smile sweetly.

"Because Hiro just made that up. Yes, I wish to see a senpai- a GIRL senpai. She's wonderful at making pancakes, and promised me special servings."

Kirihara gives your brother a threatening glare, while said brother grins and runs off, taunting your mutual friend.

The three of you made a nice trio. Too bad you were moving, huh?

###

"Wahaha! Kirihara, look at my sister! She's all dressed up!"

Dearest brother of yours points at you in your pretty dress, while the seaweed head huffs and looks away.

"At least I'm not wearing my trousers backwards, onii-chan."

Taunting laughter breaks out, and your brother proceeds to point out that he was not in fact wearing them backwards, and that you were just imagining things. It does not quell the merriment exuding from the boy standing with you, who is ignorant to the melancholy mood you two twins are trying desperatly to contain.

"C'mon, let's hurry, or we'll miss the fun stuff!"

###

"What the hell?!"

The sound of Kirihara's booming voice causes you to wince. Your brother looks ready to storm off, and you wonder why either of you thought it a good idea to not tell your best friend you were leaving until the very end. Hiro thought'd make the last few days normal- not all melancholy and goodbyes- but that was mere wishful thinking.

"It's not like we have to consult you on everything, Kirihara!"

"Maybe you coulda atleast told me, y'know, not after you've already packed and stuff? When were you okanning to tell me? The tennis club?"

Both males look ready to bring the fight physical, but you push them apart.

"Buchou already knew. He was gonna tell everyone for us. And maybe it wasn't the brightest idea, nor the fairest, but Hiro and I... We just wanted the last memories to be happy!"

"Well, that's what you've got then, huh. Just memories!"

This is goodbye, Kirihara? You're just gonna storm off? You wanted to scream at him, doesn't he understand how hard this was? But nothing comes out, and your brother gives the retreating figure a dirty look, worlds away from the usual playful one.

"Let's go, sis. Dunno how we that didn't happen sooner."

Your brother and Kirihara always fought like cats and dogs, ever since you three were kids going through Third Grade. They always made up, though.

Maybe it's just a dream, and all three of you will be hanging out together tomorrow.

(Present Point of View.)

"Hey, sis, whaddya look so down for?"

"Just remembering something."
