A CHANCE
In this
place...
There's just too much time to think.
Dwell on
things...
and all of my mistakes.
How can I look at you...
When
I know I'll see such pain?
But my eyes need you...
It's your
face that keeps me sane.
And if I were to
close my eyes..
To all I've put you through.
Build walls around
my heart...
And never look at you.
Then I know..
That I
truely would be lost.
But I know...
that you would come and
save me...
regardless of the cost.
So here I
am...
looking into your eyes.
Trying to say I'm sorry...
for
necessary lies.
How can I expect...
for you to understand?
That
behind pain and confusion...
In your eyes I see a chance.
A chance to make
things right someday...
Somehow erase all this pain.
Look into
each others eyes as we grow old...
And keep each other sane.
