"Doctor?" Donna called as she wandered throughout the TARDIS looking for that bloody timelord who she came to love.. Donna called it infinate love.. We-ell more like unconditional, and when Donna through the bloody, she meant it literally, the doctor had managed to trap his finger In the toaster while it was on because he was impatinant for his favourite breakfast fix... Bananas on toast. Now Donna found herself wandering around the ever expanding TARDIS following a trail of blood spots which by looking at it all meant that he ran around in a panick. With a sigh and a shake of her head Donna paused at their bedroom where she head a bang of so,etching hitting the floor.
"Doctor?, are you alright ?" Donna called through the door, tapping the door frame anxiously. She heard another bang from the other side of the door this time relatively closer then the one she heard before." yep, yep! As good as ever" the doctor called back through the door, Donna frowned with her hand on the door she turned the handle.
"Doctor I am coming in" when Donna opened the door she was met by a funny sight, the doctor was hopping around on one foot while holding his hand up in the air with a goofy look on his face.
"Doctor what the hell are you trying to do?" Donna had her hands on her hips and looked at him with slight judgement, the doctor froze and grinned sheepishly at Donna.
"Trying to stop the bleeding ?" He replied gram icing as another blood spot trickled down his hand. Donna rolled her eyes stepping forward too see his hand and the damage his impatience had caused.
"Seriously spaceman dancing up and down to stop a bleeding wound is not going to help you one bit, did your brain explode when you hurt yourself Jesus." Donna walked over to the cupboard and brought out the first aid box pulling out an anti septic wipe and a band aid she walked back over to the doctor with an amused look. As she cleaned up and sorted out the wound out for him she thought that the doctor cares a lot for others but had no clue how to look after himself.. That was completely adorable to Donna and with a kiss she fixed his wound.
"There there poor baby it's all better now" Donna said in a sweet voice, the doctor narrowed his eyes.
"Are you making fun of me earth girl ?" Donna stuck out her tongue.
"We-Ell can't really make fun at a person who's already funny looking can I ?" The doctor gave a fake hurt look and Donna laughed playfully, then suddenly Donna found herself tackled to the floor with the doctor on top of her ambushing her with a tickle attack, gasping with laughter Donna fought and tickled the doctor back as much as he was to her, leaving them both gasping and tangled together on their bedroom floor.
"So," Donna said as they were snuggling together peacefully, given the mornings events Donna requested that they take the morning off from saving the whole of time and space and just relax around the TARDIS, Donna could tell the doctor would argue about this so Donna gave him a reason to agree, banana split. The doctors favourite dessert slash ice cream in the whole of time and space, once he even searched numerous cafes and planets just to find the best banana split, ironically it was found in America surprise surprise. Not that Donna minded, she adores their coffee selections from Starbucks as well as the pancakes they do for breakfasts with all the toppings on top. Of course the doctor ordered them and when asked which toppings she wanted he said bananas, Donna didn't mind the bananas but she often gave her share of them to the doctor, seen as though he probably appriaciated them more then she cared to even try. To her banans were a human, boring every day food, but to the doctor banans were the best thing in existence. And that is why she loved the doctor. Not for his timelord status, not for his knowledge of the planets or the fact he travels in time and space, but because he is a geneuinely sweet and kind hearted man who is quirky, adorable and lovable in his own way, he says that he is the last of his kind, or rather.. He did before he met Donna and her family, but even before that he wasn't alone, see the doctor has a family, a family of aliens, robots and humans who he'd touched through his actions that he placed upon their lives, the doctor changed their lives by introducing them to a wider world, but the doctor had developed something better from it also, he had gained a valuable, trusting family made of all his friends through out his regenerations, time and space. It never ends and it's always there to fallback on.
This got Donna thinking, after all the years of travelling and all the companions he has picked up and shown a better value of life... There must have been romance between the, surely ? If so what made her special, so special that he is now domestic to a certain level, or tries to be anyway... The only thing that Donna could think of is the fact she is time lord.. His kind... If that's the only reason then Donna didn't feel special at all.. It made her feel like he was only with her because she was the female version of his kind, a kind that lasts forever, lives through time and never looks back... Donna had these doubts circling her mind.. She has had them for a few months.. Lately she realised that she could not distinctly acknowledge when their relationship changed from platonic to romantic, she kind of just settled when she heard he loved her and never really asked why. Now this bothered her she was usually awol about knowing another persons feelings before diving into a relationship, she usually checked these things and though these doubts well in advance, not months not a relationship, with an alien.
The doctor who was absent mindingly running his fingers through the donnas hair realised she was deep in thought. "Donna ?" He asked, "what's wrong?"
"Oh nothing spaceman, nothing just thinking is all, don't worry about it, hey listen I'm going to make some of that banana bread while you wash and dress and figure out what crazy adventure your going to take us on okay?" Donna sat up, uncrinkling her clothes in the process, her back was facing the doctor, the doctor sat up with a frown.
"Earth girl? Are you sure your okay?", Donna promptly turned around with a forced grin.
"Spaceman I am okay don't worry about me", the doctor looked on as he watched her walk out their bedroom doorway, he sighed. He was worried about her, because he knew Donna noble inside and out, he knew her mannerisms, her quirks and her pet peeves. And he knew one thing for certain that Donna was far from okay. And he was going to find out why.
