However Lilith didn't respond with words, no, nothing but a deep earthy growl emanated from within her throat and before Sesshoumaru could even react, a giant black wolf, with a green rose on it's forehead, white eyes, five tails and 3 red stripes on each paw, came rushing within the clearing the lord had Lilith pinned against, it growled in unison with Lilith and that's when he recognized the demon's features, sure he had become larger, more powerful and seemed to have become younger, but he would never forget that deadly stare of his. It was him, Fenrir, the running demon whom his father had imprisoned.

The similarities between Fenrir and Lilith kicked in, realization hit him, Lilith was Fenrir's runner, however he was once more laced with confusion no running demon would willingly go after it's runner for it was far too dangerous. A runner would immediately seal away it's demon so why would Fenrir come after her Lilith is she was her runner? But a thought of an ancient story crossed his mind 'I wonder...'.

Chapter 10: Sexy

Runners were not allowed to mate not between them other demons or humans, if so were to happen the safety of the world as they knew would be endangered. Tales of a child born of such profanity had been told for generations, the runner would have it's power doubled and so the demon waited until the runner reached maturity before absorbing the pure power and taking over, is that what she was? Those children, they earned a name, and once seen, all had but one order, kill on sight, kill the shadow runners.

Shadow runners could create illusions, and more so, they could summon their own demon if wished, of course that would lead to their own death.

Sesshoumaru eased his grip on Lilith's neck his own eyes revering back to normal. ''Lilith calm down.'' He spoke gently yet she did not budge, no, instead she growled even lower and the prideful wolf took another step towards the almighty Lord.

''You will hurt Shadow, control yourself.'' This time he spoke a bit more harshly and as response she snapped her jaws at him.

'Tadita' as if by magic that name resonated in his ears with a soft female voice attached to it.

''Tadita!'' He screamed at her, immediately her eyes became blood shot red and the illusion of Fenrir disappeared, Lilith stared at the lord as he let go a long sigh before releasing her neck completely allowing her body to slide down to the ground.

Her head hurt no, it pounded like crazy, shadow was looking at her in fear and Sesshoumaru kept his back turned to her, debating on himself.

She was a shadow runner, no, rather, she IS and shadow runner.

His father would have done it to put an end to all this and the misery her demon part is bringing onto the world. Sesshoumaru quietly unsheathed his sword.

''Sesshoumaru is something wrong?'' Lilith asked fear lacing her voice, what there somebody out there wanting to hurt them?

He turned to her, sword in hand and he cautiously stepped towards her readying himself for the killing blow.

Her eyes grew eye for a tiny fraction as fear took over her body. ''Did I do something wrong? Please, please I swear I didn't mean to, I'm sorry! If it's something I said I'm sorry!'' Tiny tears escaped her eyes and flowed down her cheeks.

Sesshoumaru stopped dead on his tracks, sheathing back his sword he would not hurt an innocent woman. ''No... nothing's wrong, this Sesshoumaru simply believed to have seen a threat behind your person however I was mistaken.''

''Oh...OH! Wow, I must have seemed like such a scared kitten right? I'm so sorry for overreaction fluffy.'' Lilith suppressed a giggle as she said that last part but failed miserably has the sound of her laugh resonated like sweet music at his ears and spread through the environment around her. That is until Sesshoumaru realized her words and arched an eyebrow. ''Fluffy?...''

''Oh... yeah, cuz yah know, that big fluffy boa you wear on your shoulder... IT'S SO FLUFFY I'M GONNA DIE!'' She screamed in a child like manner before falling to the floor on her back to emphasize her purpose, his reaction? A simple chuckle just one but...

''Oh. My. God. This you just laugh at my antics?''

''Perhaps.''

''Am I funny?''

''Tsk, damn it...am I sexy?''

''No...er.. yes? No.'' A flirtatious a mocking gasp could be heard from the female. '' I'm offended my Lord!'' She simply stared at his and laughed gently.

''Are you always going to answer my questions with a no?'' A mischievous look appeared on her face and the he caught her meaning, quire a tricky little minx he had there.

''Do you want me to answer in another way?''

''Well hum, yeah?'' Lilith responded sarcastically throwing her arms in the air for added drama.

''Then allow me to rephrase my answer to your previous question.'' Sesshoumaru bent down and pulled Lilith up, he gently lay his hand across her cheek and admires the ruby like color of her eye and her marking, his other arm snaked around her waist as the hand that had laid upon her cheek moved to the back of her head securing it, and finally, she stared at his golden eyes as he oh ever so slowly lowered his head, brushing his lips against hers she felt herself lose control to a more primeval state of mind she met him halfway they lips molding together as they shared and heated kiss, without her noticing the lord moved the hand on her was the her rear end and roughly groped it, giving a slight squeal of delight Lilith opened her lips and he immediately slid his tongue inside her mouth and a fierce battle for dominance commenced, a tango of tongues played out in he heat of the moment, that his, until they both have to part for air much to their displeasure, and they were about to continue when a certain wolf gave out a happy howl reminding them that 1. they were not alone and 2. something like this shouldn't of have happened.

Quickly regaining his composure Sesshoumaru smirked at Lilith's disheveled look ''Did that answer your question?''

And just by miracle Lili snapped her towards him ''What question?!''

''Sexy.'' He simply stated.

She stared at his form before she began jumping around. ''Wooohooo somebody thinks I'm sexy.''

''I never said that.''

And this a silent awkward moment was brought to life.
