Running down the street in a hurry Chip had no time to spare. "I'm so late, I can't believe that they moved the meeting time earlier so last minute." Looking up at the sky for a quick glance he saw something falling. The object also seemed to glow for a quick moment. "Whatever it is I can't be bothered to be worry about it right now."
All of a sudden the object became more defined in shape, a teardrop form. It began a brilliant blue, comet-like descent to the ground. "What the-". That was the only thing Chip could say before the world around him became mute and black.
Chip woke up suddenly in a hospital bed. It was cold and his head was in pain from whatever hit him. Whatever happened, all he could remember a scream. A terrified one, that of a females voice. But there hardly anyone around when he blacked out. So, who could that have been?
"Mr. Stoker, are you feeling okay? You seemed to have gotten a concussion from this Lapis stone that hit you at full impact." The doctor held up a teardrop shaped gem. "It's still surprising that this all things hit you. It doesn't seem to belong to anyone according to police investigation and forensics. So… it's up to you what happens to it. After all, it hit you. Do you want to keep it or part with it?"
"Y-yes, I'm feeling fine. Really? It doesn't belong to anyone? Well… I guess I'll keep the Lapis then." Chip held the Lapis in his hands. 'This is really rare. Typically these are smaller. It seems weird that it fell out of the sky and hit me.' Chip thought. 'Maybe I'm just overthinking this.'
