Bright light filled up the room, disturbing all of us from our sleep. Today was the first day of initiation. I heard a few people groan as they try to wipe the sleep from their eyes. I sat up and rubbed my face.

"Good morning initiates, as you know today is day one of the initiation process. You have an hour and a half to get up and eat, we'll meet at the entrance of the cafeteria once that hour and a half is up. If you're late, you will be let go. Did I make myself clear?" Tobias walked down the length of the room looking at us all. We were all mumbling about the abrupt wakeup call but we all had to do what we can if we're going to make it into dauntless. I sat up and rubbed the sleep from my eyes and when I moved my hands, Tobias and I locked eyes for a quick second. I looked away first, afraid for what he had in store for me specifically. I'm so dreading today, but I need to be the best if I want to get into dauntless.

I grabbed the black tank top and pants that were next to my bed and changed quickly right there in the open. I heard one boy whistling as I stripped into my underwear and bra. When I put the clean clothes I turned my head into the direction of the whistle and lo and behold I saw the kid from the roof top. Jacob I think his name was. He was there watching me like the creep he is.

"Really Jacob? You're such a pervert!" Olivia remarked and looked at him.

"Never seen a stiff so...loose." He smirked at us before turning around to get dressed.

"I so want to kick his ass." I whispered to Olivia as we walked out of the dorm and headed to the cafeteria.

"So do it. Lizzie. Today is your chance once were starting the fighting portion of initiation. I'm sure your brother and the other leaders would love to see that. It would show that you're a force to reckon with and deserve a spot here in dauntless." She said to me as we turned a corner.

"Maybe. I really want to be here and I want to show them I'm worthy of being here." I looked at her and she looked to be deep in thought.

"Come to think of it. I don't think there has ever been two siblings who transferred out of their original factions to the same faction. Let alone have both make it. You could make history Lizzie. You and your brother, both in dauntless together. That'll be something." She smiled at me as we walked into the cafeteria.

"Lizzie! Olivia!" I heard Connor's booming voice call us out. He was sitting at a table with two guys. He had jumped out of his seat and walked, almost ran over to us.

"Hey Connor!" we said together. He swallowed us into a giant hug. I'm sure people were watching us but Connor didn't care apparently.

"I got you both breakfast already. I also want you two to meet my friends." He let go of us and lead us to his table. I did take notice that he stayed and sat awfully close to me when Olivia and I started to eat. I knew I would have to confront him about it later.

"Guys, this is Lizzie, and Olivia. They transferred in..." Connor started to introduce us.

"Everyone on the compound knows Lizzie. An Abnegation switching to dauntless and a first jumper is big news around here. Remember the girl from last year, Tris?" One boy spoke up. He was big and looked like he could take you down in an instant. He had short blonde hair and dark brown eyes. He looked at me dead on and smirked. "The names Morgan, Caleb Morgan." He even had the nerve to wink at me! As soon as he winked I saw Connor's fist tighten. What was going on with him?

"Yeah you're cool Caleb." Connor rolled his eyes and continued to eat. "How could you not remember Tris. She was something special. So was Lizzie's brother. But Lizzie will outshine them all. Won't you Liz?" Connor smiled at me as I was mid chew of my pancakes. At the time I could only nod.

"What happened to him? I remember seeing him in the papers about switching to dauntless, I knew he did well in initiation but what happened to him after?" The other guy next to Caleb spoke. "I'm Devon by the way." Devon wasn't outright in his flirting like Caleb was. He had black hair and green eyes. He was also a bit lankier than his friend beside him.

"I don't know. He could be guarding the fence." Connor finished his food and pushed the tray aside. I knew Connor and Olivia figured out Four-Tobias- and I were siblings since he came up to me on the train. The others must have ignored Jacob when he made his comment or they honestly didn't know my father and all the ruckus Tobias and I caused. But I'm glad for their ignorance. If everyone in the compound knew our last name, they'd figure out Tobias and he might hate me forever.

"We should head to the gym. Day one is about to start." Olivia tapped me on the shoulder and stood up. I set down my fork and gave Connor a hug before going off with Olivia to the entrance of the cafeteria. We were the first initiates there waiting so she pulled me against the wall and looked at me dead in the eye, "What is going on between you and Connor? You guys only met yesterday!"

"I don't know. He's being weird. I'll have to talk to him tonight. I don't need a boyfriend right now. I need to make it into dauntless and he needs to focus on himself now too." I tell her. What I wasn't going to tell her was the fact I thought about him last night.

"Well he's totally into you!" She smiled at me.

"Olivia, we don't have time to date until we get in-or if we get in." I tell her. My eyes drifted away from her to two people walking down the corridor. I watched the guy push the girl into the wall and kissed her err more like make out. "Ewww Olivia. Look at those two. How can they do that?" Olivia looked behind her quickly and back at me.

"You're not in Abnegation anymore Lizzie, everyone here is so carefree. Its something you just have to ignore it." She tells me. I could only shrug. This whole place is different from my old home. I really hope I will be here to stay with my brother and his girlfriend- and Connor. The couple against the wall finally decided to come up for air and started to walk towards the entrance. The light from the walls gave away the identities of the two. It was none other than my brother and Tris.

"Four!?" I called out and he looked over at us and I swear I saw a flash of red on his cheeks.

"Lizzie. Olivia." He nods to us and lets go of Tris.

"I hope you guys didn't see that. Good luck you two. See you later Four, and Lizzie." Tris kissed his cheek and walked away from us.

"Where are the rest of your class?" He looks around, one to see where the other initiates are and two to avoid us coming into eye contact with each other.

"Obviously not here." I looked him and cocked my head. I hope the fact that Olivia and I were on time would help us in the long run, it shows that we want to be in dauntless. He only nodded his head. I had opened my mouth to say something about him and Tris but a tall man with piercings all over their face walked over.

"Four! Where is your class? We need to be in the gym now." The man spoke to him and finally acknowledged us. I didn't like the way he looked. For starters he looked ugly, he also looked very unpleasant. Like we were wasting his time. "Who are these girls?" he looked between us-me- and my brother, he already saw the similarities between us. When you really look at us both, we had the same color hair and the same face shape, though mine were more feminine of course. The only difference between us were our heights, he was 6"2 and I was just hitting 5", and our eyes. Mine were bright blue while his were dark. They were so dark they could almost pass for black.

"Lizzie and Olivia, two of the transfer initiates. The stranger looked between us. His eyes glanced over me a few times which made me feel very uncomfortable. He had to be a few years older than my brother. If Tobias was 19, he had to be about 22. Gross.

"Well then I'll go find the rest of their class." He gave us one last look and walked away towards the cafeteria.

"He's pleasant." I mumbled and saw the corners of his mouth turn up.

"That's Max. The head of Dauntless. He knows you're my sister. It's quite obvious that we are so I would play nice with him if you want to get in here." He nodded and looked above my head. I soon heard the loud mouth that was Jacob and his friends. Max had gotten the rest of us over here.

"The next time you're late. You will be kicked out. Tomorrow, try to be like Lizzie and Olivia who have been here waiting for you damn slackers." Max looked at us two and smiled, but it wasn't warm, it looked sick and twisted. Thankfully Tobias directed the attention back to himself.

"They were here waiting but lets not waist anymore time here. Follow Max and I and we'll begin the first day of initiation." He turned his back to us and walked down the hallway. We all followed behind him and Max made his way near Olivia, Tobias and I. I took notice how every so often he would look at me. I felt smaller than ever and grossed out. I wanted to get Tobias' attention and have him tell Max to get away from me. But Tobias wasn't looking at me. He was looking at the room that was soon before us.

The gym was huge. It had 10 mats in the middle of the room. Some guns and targets to the left and a few punching bags to the right. In the front of the room was a big screen. It was blank right now but I could tell it wasn't always going to stay that way.

Tobias stopped us and stood on one of the mats. Max joined him and he started to speak.

"This is day one of initiation. Today we will start with fighting. We will teach you how to fight today. Then tomorrow you all will fight each other. Then there will be shooting and target practice. Every win you gain a point. That screen right there will display you're names and your rank in the class. These ranks can change as you learn more things and perform them. Since there are 12 of you the first 8 will continue on to the second stage of initiation, the mental part, more on that later. Good luck to you all. Four and I will start to show you some moves now." Max nodded and started to show us how to do an uppercut and where to hit a person. Olivia and I exchanged glances at each other. Only 8 people would continue to next week. How many people were going to make it all the way? This part was the physical section and Olivia and I were more on the weaker side of the group. Not to mention the only girls in this year's initiations. We're done before we can even start. I sighed and focused back on my brother. This was going to be a long week.
