[Allena's POV]

Kanda was getting impatient with everyone waiting inside the shelter of the train station and he began to walk away. I noticed Allen running behind him trying to get him to stop for a moment. I stayed put next to the finder Michael unsure of whether I should leave the station yet.

"Are you going?"

"Of course! That's what we came for, right?" Kanda snapped at Allen. "What're we going to do sitting around in a place like this?"

Allen was at a loss for words as tried to argue a point with Kanda. "But…"

"You go ahead and build a snowman or something with them, bean sprout." Kanda glanced over to me, Michael, Lavi and Bookman. Kanda really wants to get this mission over and done with as quick as possible. I was amazed at how determined he was to finish the mission. Kanda finally stopped arguing with Allen and carried on walking away.

"Kanda! I'm going with you!" I yelled out to him and ran past Allen to catch up with Kanda. I looped my arm around Kanda's so I could keep up with his pace. "I don't to build a snowman! I want to finish the mission with you."

I vaguely heard Allen sighing before he yelled at us. "I'm coming too!" Allen started to catch up with us with Michael, Lavi and Bookman following shortly after.

Walking in such deep snow is tough and I had lost count for how long we were out vulnerable to the snow. The snow storm was like no other as it clouded my vision a bit and the cold wind whipped at my face making it tough to breathe. I tripped over several times, but luckily for me Kanda kept his grip on my arm to prevent me from falling into the snow.

I could hear Lavi constantly falling down to his knees and regularly complain about dying on the streets… It made no sense to me, but he claimed that it was some kind of quote or phrase. A strange one I believe.

Kanda suddenly stops. "Kanda, what's wrong?" I followed his train of sight and saw that two people were in the snow unconscious. A middle aged man and a young girl. "A-Are they dead?" Allen and Lavi runs up to the body shaking them, trying to get them to come to their senses.

The girl groaned and responded quietly to Lavi. She asked if her dad was ok and Allen replied that he was alright. I wonder why the daughter and father is out here in the snow storm. Bookman suggested that we take them to their home, but the girl rejected the idea. "No… We're staying at a nearby inn…"

Allen said they would take them there, but Kanda had other plans of his own to do. "Then I'll keep going." This shocked Allen, but left me unfazed. It was so Kanda, he was never one to be this helpful to others. Always trying to be cold. "There's no reason for us to be buddies and act as a group."

Allen wanted to protest, but Lavi stopped him telling him that getting the people back to the inn was more important and we can always go back out afterwards.

"Then I'll go with Kanda." Michael announced standing back up from his previous crouching position.

"I'll join you two as well." As much as I wanted to stay and help Allen. I don't want to be separated from Kanda for long. I really want to stay by his side.

"Are you sure about this Allena?" Allen asked me looking worried.

"Yes brother, I'm sure." I reassured brother. I'm stronger than he thinks, plus I have Kanda to protect me if I find myself in serious trouble.

"Be careful then Allena."

"Do not worry Allen, I'll make sure Allena doesn't get hurt." Michael informed him. How professional I thought. Of course he's finder, it's his job to work alongside exorcists and assist them when in trouble.

"Thanks." We finished up what we were doing and left the inn. Walking out in the snow, pretty much clueless of where we're going.

"The storm is going to make this difficult." I said quietly.

"We'll have to keep looking. At least scout the area first, we can't risk anything. We have to make sure there aren't any akuma's around as well." Kanda replied. I nodded my head in acknowledgement.

It must of have been at least a good two hours and we still hadn't gotten anywhere. We even went deep into the forest until we reach tall cliffs and mountains.

We stopped upon an entrance to a small cave that was big enough for us to fit in. "We'll have to shelter here for the night, there's no point to carry on at this time. We don't know when we'll next be able to find shelter in this storm." Kanda said taking one final look in the cave.

"Then I'll be on look out at the entrance Kanda. You two should get some rest." Michael offered. Kanda nodded his head in agreement and lead me further into the cave, where it got slightly warmer for us to stay in.

Kanda sat down with his back against the wall and tugged at my arm to motion for me to sit down. I hesitated, but sat down sideways on Kanda's lap. I leaned into his chest wrapping my arms around his body. I felt his body stiffen. "It's cold…"

Kanda soon relaxed and he too wrapped his arms around me and kept us close together. I smiled to myself at how close we were. His body was warm and it comforted me in this crazy weather. "Get some sleep pixie." I nodded my giving a vague reply and already had found myself falling into a deep slumber.

XGazeRockX – Hey guys! It's been over a year since I last updated this and I'm so sorry! I promise this time for real that I'll work hard on updating this story. I really want to finish this one day since this was the first ever fanfiction I ever wrote. I started writing this when I was 14 and I'm now 16. My writing style has changed slightly and I've noticed how terrible my spelling errors are, so I'll also be editing the past chapter over time. Thank you for putting up with the long wait, I'll try not disappoint you all!
