Hi everyone and welcome back to yet another chapter of Do You Believe In Magic? This one took a lot of time and effort to finish, as it was really difficult trying not to give the identity away! I just want to say thank you to everybody for reading and reviewing, it really did mean the world to me! I will probably have the next chapter up by either Sunday or Tuesday depending on when I have to work, (haven't got our rosters yet so it sucks).
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the next chapter of Do You Believe In Magic?
Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter. The only thing I own is the plot, the OC's you will be introduced to throughout this story and on occasion Oliver Wood because he is just so hot! ;)

"Now what would a little girl want with a big, tough Slytherin?" Marcus Flint asked me as I stood in front of him.
"Oh I am beyond little and to be clear Flint, I am not going to let a Slytherin like you push me around when I can make your life a living hell. Comprende?" I spat, venom laced within my voice. There was no way I was going to let a Slytherin like him, so disgusting, think he could hold something over my head. Flint ground his teeth together and just merely nodded in response, as he looked back down at the Hogwarts ground.
We were standing in the middle courtyard at Hogwarts, looking down at the green hills, the old bridge, the Forbidden Forest and the Black Lake, as the fountain played a somewhat musical tone in the background. But what caught our attention the most, were four Gryffindor's. Two were sat underneath an old, tall oak tree with books and papers strewn across the leaf littered ground, while two others were lounging in a grassy patch just gazing up at the clouds that strolled through the ever blue sky.
"I'll ask you one more time girly. What do you want?" Flint asked, as he looked down on me, annoyance written all over his face.
"The girl, Savannah. She's not good for him, so I want her gone," I replied as I flipped my curly hair over my shoulder, and then brought my hand in front of my face to examine my razor sharp nails.
"How do you suggest we do that beautiful?" Marcus asked me, as he got closer and smiled his sick, sadistic grin.
"'We'? You are the one that is going to get rid of Miss Chambers. You are the one who is going to regret crossing me if you breathe a word on this to anyone. Do I make myself perfectly clear?" I asked, as I sent the best death glare that I could muster. Then again, I did invent the best death glare in the history of Hogwarts.
"Crystal," Marcus started before he turned his attention back to the two Gryffindor's rolling around in the grass. "I know you think that I'm not smart and all, but I already know the perfect plan." I turned my attention away from the sickening sight before me and turned to Marcus.
"And what's that?" I asked, as he had perfectly captured my interest.
"It involves Oliver Wood, but for the plan to be perfected, we need to spend the rest of the school year perfecting it. What do you say curly?" He flashed his sad, disgusting smile and turned toward me.
I laughed, as I pressed myself closer toward him before bringing my knee up and nailing him in the groin.
"Perfect, but don't call me curly," I whispered as he fell to the ground and groaned in pain. I then flipped my hair over my shoulder again, as it was practically my signature move and moved away from the courtyard and toward the Great Hall for dinner. The only way Flint's plan was going to work, was if I continued being the same person that everybody knew and not to let anybody know what I had planned with Marcus.
I walked through the huge double oak doors and strutted into the quickly filling hall. I sat down at the table and waited for my friends to join me and the tables to fill with the delicious food. While I awaited, I pulled some parchment out from my cloak and unrolled it, reading the notes that I had made for my potions exam.
"You never did let me finish explaining how I was going to get rid of her." Marcus whispered as he slid in next to me.
"Well when you start getting hit on by the most disgusting person in the school, you kind of want to get out of there," I replied, as I didn't bother to lift my gaze from the parchment.
"Do you want to know or not?" He asked, as he started to get aggravated.
"Just because I don't want to talk to you, doesn't mean I don't want to know what your plan is. But then again, why do I care? I'm not even supposed to be involved." I bit back, as my gaze shifted ever so slightly towards his direction to indicate that I was interested.
"I'm going to use Polyjuice Potion and spells to impersonate Savannah's beloved Oliver. That way they'll get even closer which will make our plan flawless. This is going to take the whole year to plan, and then on the final day, we're going to hatch our devious scheme and be rid of Savannah Chambers for good." Marcus explained, as the gleam in his eye clearly told me that he was having way too much fun with this.
"How would you get Polyjuice Potion?" I asked, as I twisted my body to face him.
"I might be stupid, but I'm pretty damn good at potions," he replied, as he started to pick at stray pieces of lint on his robes.
"Well I never. You're not just a bundle of laughs now are you?" I asked, as I raised my eyebrows in mock interest and impression.
"You laugh now, but you just wait until Savannah is gone and Oliver is yours again," he scoffed as he picked up an apple from a fruit bowl that had magically appeared in the middle of the table.
"Oh, that I can't wait for," I whispered, as I turned my attention back to my potions notes.
"Speak of the devils and they shall appear right?" Marcus whispered in my ear, as he got up from the table to avoid being seen with me. I turned my head ever so slightly to the oak doors of the Great Hall to see Oliver and the not-so-nice-thing-that-rhymes-with-witch walk in joking and laughing at the other.
"You must have jinxed it Flint," I muttered, as I kept my gaze on them. I watched them walk closer and closer to the Gryffindor table and sit down with their friends, Angelina Johnson, Alicia Spinnet and the Weasley twins. God, they were annoying.
"Hey!" My best friend in the entire world yelled as she slipped into the seat beside me.
"Hey Sarah, what's up?" I asked, as I turned my attention to her.
"Well Hallie and Lucy are in detention, because they were throwing paper balls through Professor Binns again," she replied as she slipped her book bag off her shoulder and dumped it onto the floor. I laughed and shook my head at my other two friends' antics. "What about you? Where have you been all afternoon?" She asked, as she started to pile sausages, mashed potatoes, vegetables and gravy onto the golden plate.
"I've been," I paused for a brief second to come up with an alibi that was sure to seal my whereabouts for most of the afternoon. "Studying in the middle courtyard, I mean after all, it is one of the serenest places on the grounds." I finished. I felt completely satisfied with what I had come up with on the spot. I loved that if anyone had seen me and confronted me about it, I had the perfect cover to explain what I was doing in the middle courtyard instead of Gryffindor's Crest, where I usually was at that time of day. I smiled to myself, as I stole a piece of sausage of Sarah's plate and popped it into my mouth.
"So you having your tongue down Marcus Flint's throat was just a rumour then?" She asked as she smirked in my direction. I on the other hand, was currently choking on the piece of sausage that I had been chewing on. I coughed a few times and pounded my chest before I swallowed the offending piece of deliciousness and took three deep breaths.
"Where the hell did you hear that?" I growled out, as I looked at her with an incredibly serious and unbelieving look.
"The whole school is saying it. Is it true, or was it just one of your enemies trying to get back at you for the millions of things you've done to them?" Sarah giggled as she continued to stuff her mouth with food.
"Look Sarah, I was with Flint, but I did not, I repeat, did not have my tongue down his throat!" I replied as I gagged a little.
"So it was his tongue down your throat? Didn't peg you for the type to go after a Slytherin," she laughed, as the dinner foods vanished and the dessert foods replaced them.
"Nobody's tongues were down anybody's throats!" I cried, which gained some unwanted attention from nearly everybody in the Great Hall. I looked down, my cheeks probably a bright, tomato red and got some pumpkin pasties and liquorice wands.
"You don't have to get so offensive," Hallie Sinclair laughed as she slid down into the seat in front of me.
"Don't even bother Hallie, it's not worth it!" Lucy Shivers chuckled as she also sat down on the bench of the long table.
"Fine, I was with Flint, but he was just giving me some help with Potions, that's all." I admitted, as I popped a pumpkin pasty into my mouth.
"Sure, we'll believe you," Hallie began. Hallie had been my friend since first year and so had her childhood friend Lucy.
"For now," Lucy finished as Hallie and she began to cackle like maniacal witches.
"Oh shut up!" I whispered, as I kicked both my legs out underneath the table and smiled in satisfaction when they both made contact with both my intended targets.
"Ouch, not cool Phoenix, not cool!" Hallie mumbled as she started to sulk on the other side of the desserts.
"It's your own fault," I replied in a sing-song voice as I reached for more pumpkin pasties. I was just in time as the desserts started to fade away to the land where desserts go after not being eaten. No idea where and I don't particularly care either.
I stood up from the table and started to walk away from my friends and toward the two people who had so successfully captured my full attention.
Savannah Chambers was more than just a first year. She was sassy, she had a comeback for everything, she was strong-willed, independent, not afraid to get what she wants and had Oliver and the Weasley twins completely and utterly wrapped around her finger. I watched as she flipped her near dead straight blonde hair over her shoulder as she laughed with Oliver. They were getting along so well, I was afraid what might happen to him. I didn't care what happened to that blonde cheapskate because she was just a conniving little witch who had no right to stick her nose in other people's business. As you can tell… I hate her.
I followed the hotness that was Oliver Wood and the little, (excuse my language), bitch up to the Gryffindor common room, where I run into the one and only Jack Riley.
"Jack!" I cried, as I walked up to him. Everybody knew that he had a thing for Sav, now it was my turn to swoop in and incorporate him into the plan.
Jack jumped in surprise, as he was probably in some sort of trance. "Hi!" He replied, as he turned his full attention toward me.
"Do you want to help me in a plan to get Oliver away from Savannah?" I asked, as I looked at him with a sort of malicious look on my face.
"Why would I want to do that? Oliver's my friend!" Jack replied as he looked at me confused.
"Because, if we get Oliver away from her, you can swoop in and have her all to yourself." I explained, as I looked at him and waited for the gears to turn. Jack was silent for a few minutes, but I could tell which answer he was leading toward.
"So you won't do anything to her?" He asked, as he looked at me with regret, yet a trace of excitement was visible in his hazel eyes.
"Of course not, she'll be all yours. I only want Oliver," I replied as I could practically see the excitement radiating off of him.
"Deal! What do you want me to do?" He asked, as he looked over at the blonde "bombshell".
"Simple, I want you to spy on Oliver. Get all the details about his friendship with Savannah, find out every plan, every move, every conversation they make. I want all the details about this "relationship" so we can put an end to it before it even starts." I replied, as I gazed over to the two laughing Gryffindor's.
"Ok, I'll try my best!" Jack replies as he walked over to hang out with the other third year Gryffindor's, Percy, Jamie, Steven and Daniel.
This plan was coming together, I could feel it! This wasn't going to fail and I definitely wouldn't let it. Not when I was this close to getting Oliver away from the poisonous blonde.
~Do You Believe In Magic~
The next morning was chaotic as usual, but I'm sure the girls knew that a simple spell could do anything they wanted. I was pulling out a fresh uniform and was almost ready for the day that was ahead.
"Where is my tie?" Hallie cried, as she threw clothes up into the air.
"Where is my Potions homework?" Lucy fretted over the littlest things it was remarkable she hadn't torn out all of her hair yet.
"Argh, where are my shoes?!" Sarah yelled as she was hanging over the edge of her bed, lifting up duvet covers and clothes that Hallie had thrown so carelessly just seconds before.
"You know, if you guys did this the night before instead of staying up late and talking about boys, you wouldn't be having so much difficulty in the simplest tasks!" I cried, as I pulled my tie over my head and fiddled with it until it was the perfect kind of loose and sexy.
"Says you!" I heard three, very loud and very sarcastic remarks back in unison.
"Breakfast is going to be over if you don't hurry up!" I cried, as I grabbed my book bag and made my way to the door that led out of our shared room. I opened the door and saw the stairs that led down into the common room.
I always loved the stairs in the morning. There was always a selection of stained glass windows that made the stairs my favourite part of the common room by far. No matter what I had done or what I had been through, the windows were always the place to forget about them.
I smiled to myself as I made my way down the stairs and into the common room, but oh gosh that smile didn't last long when I saw Oliver and Savannah strewn across the scarlet red carpet working on what looked to be an essay of sorts.
"Come on Vannah, it's easy!" He cried as he rolled an inch toward her to point to some notes made on a separate piece of parchment.
"You're a third year, you've done this stuff way more than me!" I heard her cry out in frustration, but I could also hear the laugh that was dying to come out. "Come on breakfast will be over soon and I don't know about you but I am starving!" She giggled as she stuffed her parchment and textbooks into her book bag then stood up from the floor.
"Yeah ok, let's go. I don't know about you, but you get cranky when you're hungry," Oliver replied as he took Savannah's hand and pulled himself up off of the floor.
"Well then I must always be cranky!" Savannah joked as she bent down to pick up a stray piece of parchment. Oliver looked confused for a second before looking at her with a questionable look on his face.
"Because you're always hungry?" He asked, almost as if he wasn't sure. Savannah tossed her head back with a laugh and then nodded simply with a smile on her face. I chuckled under my breath at Oliver's playful behaviour, but it started to hurt when I realised that I wouldn't see that anymore. Not until Savannah was gone. They both walked through the portrait hole and I saw this as the perfect opportunity to follow them and see if I could get any more information from them.
"So are we still on for study this afternoon?" Savannah asked Oliver as they made their way down to the Great Hall.
"Of course we are! Where do you want to study today? Gryffindor's Crest, the Willow by the Black Lake, the Great Hall, Courtyards or Library?" Oliver asked as he took her book bag from her shoulder. I bet he did it for her all the time.
"Definitely the Willow! The best place on the grounds to study! I love the scenery down there!" I heard Savannah cry as she practically bounced around the halls like a chipmunk hyped up on coffee.
We reached the Great Hall after about fifteen minutes of walking and them talking about Potions, Defence Against the Dark Arts and some muggle thing whilst I listened. We walked through the big doors, which will always continue to fascinate me and then something bizarre happened.
Savannah and Oliver didn't sit together for breakfast like they did every morning. Maybe I wasn't listening to everything?
Savannah went and sat down with her friends, whilst Oliver went and sat down with his friends. I looked to Jack, who I found was staring right back at me. I gave a slight nod and brought my hand up to my ear as if to listen. He seemed to understand what I was trying to convey as he nodded back with force.
I sat down just a couple of metres away from Savannah and took out some parchment that I had been working on last night before bed. I turned it over and got out my instant ink quill. So much easier than an ink pot I tell you!
"So what's going on with you and Oliver?" I heard Angelina ask.
"Nothing, I mean we're friends and all, but I don't think it'll be going any further," she replied as she piled some bacon and eggs onto her plate.
"Oh fiddlesticks and you know it! What about in a few years' time? You guys would make the perfect couple!" Alicia cried, as she shovelled her face full of food.
"Maybe, but I don't know. What if he doesn't feel the same way I do?" She asked as she spared a glance down the table to Oliver and his friends.
"He will, you watch!" Her other friend cried out, the redhead, no idea what her name was.
Savannah just laughed with a little flick of her hair and started to eat breakfast whilst talking to her friends about events that she had missed through the week.
I got up just as my friends' entered, but I threw a look at Marcus and gave a discreet nudge of my head to the left to indicate to meet me outside. He obviously understood as he got up and made his way to the double doors.
"Where do you think you're going?" Sarah asked me as she placed a hand around my wrist to stop me from walking anywhere else.
"I'm just going to the bathroom, I'll probably be back, but if not I'll see you in about fifteen minutes!" I cried as I broke the grip she had and made my way to the bathrooms, where I was sure Marcus was probably already waiting.
He could slip past anyone. He was practically a ninja when it came to being unnoticed when he didn't want to be seen.
"Flint?" I asked, as I looked into the shadows.
"Phoenix," he replied. I jumped about a metre off of the ground and spun around to see his sadistic smirk. I just growled and sighed, letting it go.
"What did you find out?" I whispered as I gazed out into the large corridor to make sure we weren't followed.
"He likes her," he replied simply. My head whipped around to face him and I looked at him in shock.
"Are you sure?" I asked, as I walked closer to him.
"Jack told me this morning. Nice job by the way, getting spies in Gryffindor Tower." Flint smiled at me, but I didn't hear anything after the part of him liking her. Flint must have noticed something was wrong, because he laid a somewhat gentle hand on my shoulder. A part of me was like, oh my gosh, he cares but another part of me wanted to disinfect my shoulder.
"He's going to hold off on anything serious though, so you still have plenty of time to swoop in and get her away from him," he whispered.
I looked at Marcus and the way he recoiled back, meant only one thing. I had a murderous look on my face.
"She's going to regret the day she ever came to Hogwarts. She is going to want to leave here when I'm done with her and so help me I will do everything in my power to make sure Savannah Chambers never sees the light of day again," I spat. She was going down and nobody, not even Oliver could stop me. But I was going to ruin her one person at a time. Starting with her brother, Christian Chambers.
