A/n: One last chapter because no story of mine ends without an adorable ending. Enjoy!

"Once upon a time, in a far far away land. There lived a king and a queen. The King and Queen were happy and in love. People in the kingdom felt their love and happiness all throughout the land. One day, the king and queen felt an emptiness in their hearts. So the beautiful and kind queen soon became pregnant. The people rejoiced for the kingdom would soon have an heir. As each day grew, the kingdom was showered with good fortune. Then the queen gave birth to a pretty baby girl, who they watched grow into a wonderful little girl.

Then on the princess's fifth birthday, the queen became ill. Everyone in the kingdom mourned including the king. Soon, the queen passed from her illness leaving a sad king and Princess. Each year, the king grew colder and colder. The once happy kingdom, now sat in misery. All the meanwhile, the princess grew.

One day, the princess had enough. So she packed her things and ran far away from the cold and dark kingdom. The princess traveled far and wide to escape her now evil father.

In her final stop, she was met a dragon. He was powerful but kind. The princess asked the dragon if he could point her in the direction of the nearest tavern. He took her there and bought a warm meal for the young woman. She thanked him for his kindness and promised to repay him one day. So, the dragon watched her leave.

The princess wandered far down the road. As she stopped to have some lunch by a creek, a group of bandits attacked her. They told her that she was to become a slave to a king farther away than any cart or horse could take her. The leader of the bandits slung her over his shoulder. She gave a shout in hopes that the good dragon would save her.

With a thundering roar, he appeared. Swinging his tail, he knocked all the bandits away. They ran in fear for their life because they did not want to be eaten. The princess thanked him and gave her his word that she would help him as long as she lived. The great dragon puffed out smoke and told her that there was one thing she could help him with. He was a prince that was cursed to take the form of a dragon by his brother. The only way to get rid of the curse was to be truly be loved as he was.

The princess agreed to help him find true love. Together, the princess and the dragon traveled far and wide having adventures. Soon, the pair of friends found more friends to join in their adventures.

However, on their last adventure, the dragon and the princess found the dragon's brother. With all their might, the group could not defeat him. So with one final selfless act, the dragon prepared to give his life so his friends could live. When night fell, he prepared to leave the camp. On his way out the princess stopped him, begging for him not to do his. He refused, telling her there was no other way to defeat the evil Prince. In a last futile attempt to stop the dragon, she flung her arms around the dragon's neck and told him that she loved him.

Much to the surprise of everyone in the camp, the dragon was enveloped in a bright gold light. Before the princess stood a handsome young man. He thanked her for removing the curse and gave her a kiss of true love. He then faced his brother and their forces. When his men saw that the prince was alive, they refused to attack. The evil Prince went mad and attack the young man. After a grueling sword duel, the good Prince slew the evil Prince. All the soldiers cried out in happiness and escorted the group to the kingdom. Where the Prince and the princess married. The friends the had many journeys with were rewarded. They all lived happily ever after" I read from an old leather book.

A little pink haired girl bounced around underneath my right now. "Do you think the dragon and the princess were real daddy?" She asked me. My laughter echoed in the pink room filled with stuffed animals and play dresses. "Only in your mind Nashi" I told her. Giggles escaped the little girls as I burrito tucked her in. My beautiful blonde wife came in and chuckled. "Alright you two, bedtime. Big day, we are meeting everyone at fairy tail tomorrow" she chided. "Yes mamma" called the little girl. I smiled and kissed Nashi on the forehead "Night little one." The girl wriggled from her burrito, "I'm not little! I'm the dragon princess" she protested. "Good night Nashi" I called from her doorway reaching for the light switch. As I walked down the hall, I heard a tiny roar from Nashi's room. Lucy chuckled

We turned the lights off and snuggled into the bed. "You had to read that story?" Lucy groaned. "It's her favorite" I defended myself. Even in the dark, I could tell my wife was smiling. She snuggled into my chest as I kissed the top of her head. Soon, we drifted off to the dreamland of where dragons married princesses and had adventures.
