AN: Sorry I haven't updated in awhile. I am currently dealing with a lot in my life right now so forgive me. Anyways I don't own Ghost Hunt just the plot!

Emersion 14

Naru's POV

Did that really just happen? Did she just…I can't seem to comprehend what has just happened. That little vixen just completely shut down my brain function.

'Noll are you alright?'

'I'm fine Gene, why?'

'Well you just seemed to have dropped almost all of your mental blocks and your PK is trying to surge to the surface.'

'Crap!'

'Get yourself under control, it was so bad it woke me up.'

At my brother's last statements I know that I have to refocus my mind and get my composure.

Mai, I remembered that she said she was going to make me tea, glancing at the camera I realized that the cameras in the kitchen were all down. Wonderful, the trouble magnet is now in a room without any way of monitoring her movements.

She has yet to scream so hopefully nothing has happened. Sighing, I decided that I should at least check on her and make sure she has not hurt herself.

Mai's POV

I knew what was coming I just had to decide if I was going to scream or try to handle this on my own. I know that the master of the beast wants me so I am pretty sure it needs to take me alive so maybe if I cooperate I can make it out of this alive, besides Oliver will find me, he always does.

Turning around, I faced the terrifying beast like man. He looked confused as to why I was not running.

I asked him. "What, aren't you planning on taking me to your master?"

He then gave me a snarling, evil smirk. "Why would I take you to someone I intend to kill in order to break the blasted contract. His contract keeps me from doing as I wish."

Shaking slightly. "What do you mean you are going to kill him?"

Shrugging. "It is as I said, I am going to devour the soul of the man that summoned me from hell. I tire of his little petty human games. I will gain the power I desire and reclaim the earth for the Fallen."

I was confused what did he mean by the "Fallen" and who was this master. "What do you want with me then if you plan on killing your master?"

Chuckling darkly. "You hold the key to my ultimate power, the young man that has so much power it overwhelms his body will come after you and when he does I will consume him heart and soul. I will take his power and life then I will kill you for watching his death should awaken the power that is dormant in you then I am going to consume you."

This beast wants Naru. I will not let that happen I will find a way to stop this. "You cannot have Naru, I will not let you. I will give you anything if you will just leave Naru be."

Laughing the beast replied "You have not yet awakened you have nothing to bargain with, I will have both your powers!" With that the beast disappeared and left me standing in the kitchen. As he left the kitchen door opened to reveal a not so happy Naru.

Naru's POV

"What were you thinking leaving the base and wandering around the theater by yourself? You could have been killed!"

I am not sure exactly why I am so mad right now, she does this all the time and it has never bothered me this much. Looking at her now she looks pale and like she might break at any minute.

Sighing. "What happened Mai?"

"Naru we have to get to Tamaki, it is going to try to kill him and break the contract so that it can devour you!" Mai cried hysterically.

"Come, let's go back to base and sit down and tell me everything that has happened." Guiding her to base I noticed she was shaking like a leaf. What could have scared her this bad? We have been on cases worse than this and I have never seen her quite this upset.

Regular POV

Naru led Mai back to base and set her on the uncomfortable couch in the employee lounge. His mind was racing trying to comprehend everything she was telling him. Now the beast had set his sights on Naru and Mai.

Naru, taking time to process this information, grasped his chin and sat stalk still next to Mai on the couch. Deciding the best course of action was to head off the beast before it could find out how to break the contract, he rose to wake up Lin, Monk, Gene, John and Yasu.

"Wait! Naru don't leave me in here please." Mai started off strong but whispered the last part. Grabbing her hand he pulled her close and told her "Keep up."

Arriving at the room they were currently using to sleep in Naru went around waking up the men letting them know that they were needed in base.

Before he left back to base he turned back to Mai. "You should get some rest before daybreak."

Pleading. "Please let me stay with you; I want to know you are safe."

Sighing Naru replied. "I will be fine Mai, Lin will not let anything happen to me and since Gene is here I can channel my PK. You should rest while you can. Gently he caressed her cheek and said. "If you won't rest in here at least grab a pillow and blanket and rest in the base on the couch."

Nodding Mai grabbed her bedding and walked back to base with Naru.

After she was settled on the couch and sleeping Naru had everyone gather around the table and devise a game plan.

Explaining what the beast said to Mai and the fact that Naru thought he knew what Tamaki was using as the talisman for the contract.

Lin, the one most experienced with witchcraft and demons, commented. "If we can get to that talisman before the demon kills Tamaki then we can destroy it and send the Beast back to hell."

Monk, always one to ask about the elephant in the room. "Yes but how do you suggest getting the ring from Tamaki? It is not like he is going to just hand it over if we ask him."

John not one to butt in. "What if we trick him in to giving the ring up? We don't have to let him know that we know he was the one to kill Hanako and the one behind the beast. He is guilty of all the deaths that have taken place in this building since he was the person that summoned the demon here. We have all the evidence that points to him being responsible and he should be held responsible for his actions. Why not have him arrested and when he is taken into custody we claim the ring and destroy it?"

AN: So this is where I am going to end this chapter here I know I wanted to end the case this chapter but unfortunately I have lost my train of thought for this chapter. So I will give you this tidbit. And hopefully get the next chapter out Sunday.
