The Winchester men stared in disbelief at Alex for a long few minutes before she huffed and snapped, "Did I grow a second head or something?"

"You want to do what again exactly?" John asked harshly, his arms folded over his chest.

"I'm going to close the gates of Hell." Alex repeated.

"That's what I thought you said." John nodded sarcastically then turned to Dean. "Why the hell are we listening to this..."

"Demon?" Alex finished with a sneer. "Yeah, and you're the jackasses who have no idea how out of your depth you are. I only need your help because I can't storm Hell by myself."

"Excuse me?" Dean stammered. "You want to show up and what? Knock on the gates of Hell and just expect them to open?"

"Don't be moronic." Alex rolled her eyes. "I have an in. And once we get in, then we talk to Lucifer and we find the tablet."

"Lucifer?" Dean's eyebrows shot up. "As in the Devil?"

"Hey." Alex glared at him. "Don't talk about him like he's evil."

"He is evil." Sam finally spoke. "Or didn't you pay attention in Sunday School?"

"Listen, I don't need your disgust, Sam Winchester." Alex glared at him. "You don't know me and demon or not, I don't deserve the attitude from any of you."

"We aren't helping you." John said gruffly. He raised his arm and cocked the Colt, aiming for her heart.

"I wouldn't recommend that, Johnny." Alex growled but he pulled the trigger and she grunted as the bullet hit her. Stalking forward, she grabbed John by the neck. "That gun can't kill me. Nothing can you jackass."

Squeezing his throat tightly, Alex heard Sam and Dean start for her and threw them against the walls with her demon powers. "I will kill you as soon as you become useless, boys. If you stop fighting this and help me, I'll give you each one deal." She released John's throat and rubbed her body against his, purring, "Anything you want, Johnny."

"I don't want anything from you." John spat.

Alex pouted, biting her lower lip between her teeth. "That's not what you said the other night."

Sam and Dean groaned in disgust, causing Alex to chuckle. "One deal each in exchange for your help and before you ask, I can't bring Mary back."

"Why not?" John asked.

"Because, I can't." Alex smirked.

"What about Jess?" Sam asked nervously, almost as though he was afraid of the answer.

"I can do that." Alex nodded. "You'll get her back when we get back."

A timid knock on the door preceeded Morgan's voice. "Um, is it okay if I come in?"

"What is it?" Alex didn't move away from John, holding his gaze.

"Cas is here. He's looking for you." Morgan said, toying with her ID badge.

"Did you tell him what happened?" Alex moved and turned to face her best friend, releasing the boys as well.

"No. I just said you needed some back up."

"I've got it covered." Alex said, smiling at Morgan. "You can tell him to leave then make sure your gear is ready to go."

"What?" Dean and Sam said together. Then Dean said, "You can't take her to Hell. She's a friggin' Hobbit."

"I'll have you know that I'm taller than I look." Morgan put her hands on her hips defensively.

"Well, that's good cause you look like you're four foot five."

"Four eleven." Morgan corrected. Turning to Alex, she said, "I'll be back in five minutes. What if Cas is persistent?"

"Make something up. I've got my hex bag so he can't find me." Alex closed the door behind Morgan then turned back to the boys. "Any other takers on my deal?"

"Yeah." Dean said, "When we get the gates of Hell closed, I want you closed with them."

"Oooh." Alex smiled at him. "Evil. A man after my own heart. You have a deal."

John shared a look with her and she took his meaning, nodding once when Sam and Dean weren't looking. When the boys went to collect their gear, John pulled her aside. "You save Sam. That's my price."

"It's always been my job to make sure Sammy stays safe." Alex assured him, hefting her bag on her shoulder with a huff. "He's the special one."

"Don't make me regret trusting you." John snarled before leaving to help his sons.

"You should." Alex muttered to herself. "You should all stay away from me."

"So how do we get to Lucifer, anyway?" Dean asked, as they walked through an empty field. "Isn't he like King or something?"

"Hell doesn't have a king." Alex corrected, helping Morgan regain her footing when she stumbled. "Lucifer is trapped in a cage where that asshat Michael threw him."

"For good reason." Sam muttered, squinting against the sun. Alex's phone rang and she flipped it open, glaring at Sam.

"Hey, Iz. What's up?" Alex said. "No, your costume will be ready. I'll have Cas bring it over, okay? Love you."

When she put her phone away, Dean said, "That your kid?"

"My sister." Alex changed the subject. "Anyway, we get to the cage, talk to Lucifer, then bam! Close the gates of Hell."

"How do you even know this can happen?" John asked, kicking a clump of weeds away.

"It's a story my dad told me."

"You have a dad?" Dean scoffed, earning himself a smack to the back of the head from Morgan. "Sorry."

"Never mind." Alex shut up and Morgan glared at Dean before linking her arm through Alex's. They walked in silence until dark when they made camp. When the Winchesters were asleep and Morgan was as well, Alex went a few yards from the campsite and looked up at the sky, gazing at the stars. She was lost in thought and didn't notice when Sam approached her. "It's beautiful, isn't it?"

His voice made her jump. "Yeah. Makes me wish I could be there instead of here."

"Instead of marching into Hell for a conference with the Devil?" Sam asked.

Alex asked angrily, "Don't you think that maybe I'd like to have a chance of a normal life?"

"Then what's stopping you?"

"I'm a demon." Alex shrugged, turning her gaze back to the sky. "As much as I'd like to be human, fully human, I can't because I have a love/hate relationship with my demon half."

"Well, maybe you could-"

"You should rest. We go through the Hellgate tomorrow." Alex interrupted him, walking away silently.
