"Is it getting colder?" Sam asked Alex.
She shivered as she nodded. "Contrary to popular belief, Lucifer actually burns cold."
Alex shivered again and Sam shrugged out of his coat, draping it over her shoulders. She gave him a half smile before John cleared his throat and said, "Where is he?"
"Just a little further." Alex replied, lifting her arm and pointing. "But only Sam and I can go."
"What the hell?" John snapped as Sam said, "Why?"
"You're not here to ask questions." Alex told John with a glare. "Do what I say and your deal is kept. Understand?"
John wasn't happy as he growled, "If you screw us over, I'll kill you myself."
Alex only nodded and showed Sam to the cage where her master was kept. He was leaning against his cage with his eyes closed, not bothering to open them when he said, "Ah, Lexi mine. How are you, dearest?"
"I'm fine." Alex replied with a stiff smile, clutching Sam's jacket closer around her.
"Don't lie to me, sweet." Lucifer pushed himself off the bars of his cage and approached Alex, reaching through the bars for her. She put her hand in his waiting palm and he pulled her against the bars, reading the look in her eyes. "I know what you're here for but I can't help you unless you help me."
"What do you want?" Sam asked harshly, his eyes on Lucifer's grip on Alex's arm.
"I want out, Sammy." Lucifer's eyes flickered to the youngest Winchester's eyes then back to Alex's. "I want everything that I deserve."
"I need to know where the Hell trials are." Alex asked breathlessly as Lucifer's thumb stroked her hand.
"That's an awfully big order for such a delicate creature as yourself, Lexi mine." Lucifer purred, pressing a kiss to the palm of her hand. "How do you intend to get me out?"
"The blood of your true vessel and the cambion will open the lock." Alex stammered as his fingertips slid up her arm and rested where her neck met her shoulder. "Give me the trials and I will release you."
"You're in no position to bargain," Lucifer countered easily, moving away from her. His eyes moved from Alex to Sam then back to Alex and he smiled widely. "Let me out and then you owe me one more thing before I'll tell you where the trials are."
"What?" Alex asked warily.
"Release me first." Lucifer said. Alex knew better than to try her luck anymore than that and pulled out her dagger, sliding the blade across her palm and smearing the blood on the bars of Lucifer's cage. She handed the dagger to Sam and he followed her lead, adding his blood to the bars and there was a groaning as the bars opened, allowing Lucifer to step through. He stretched his arms and chuckled as he guided Alex towards Sam. "Kiss him."
"What?" Alex asked.
"I have to admit that I'm a sucker for forbidden love." Lucifer stood behind Alex as he spoke, his breath on her ear and loud enough for Sam to hear. "And the love story between the two of you puts Romeo and his Juliet to shame. Tragic, yes but romantic all the same."
"You'll give us the trials after I kiss her?" Sam asked for clarification.
"I'm an angel of my word." Lucifer promised and stepped back, watching as Sam pressed his lips against Alex's chastely. "No, Sammy. Like you mean it."
Sam clenched his jaw and sighed roughly before taking Alex's face in his hands and pulling her against him, their lips moving together as if they had done it so many times before. His tongue brushed against her lips and she opened for him, moaning softly when his tongue touched hers. Her hands slid up his chest and into his hair, her fingers weaving in the dark strands. Sam wrapped his arms around her waist and squeezed her before they pulled away, panting as they tried to catch their breath. Lucifer clapped his hands once and practically giggled. "That's what I call a kiss. Now, I won't tell you where the trials are but I'll show you. The thing is-"
"You lied." Sam interrupted, ignoring the tingling down his spine and the voice in his head telling him to kiss Alex again.
"Don't interrupt, Sammy." Lucifer chastised then continued. "You're my vessel, Sam but I need permission to use you."
"Why?" Sam asked.
"Angels need permission before they can take a vessel. Them's the rules." Lucifer shrugged. "What do you say?"
"Then you'll help us close the Gates of Hell?" Sam glanced at Alex, who had her fingertips pressed to her lips and seemed lost in thought.
"Of course."
"Then yes."

"Lexi mine, let's go pick up the others and we can be on our way." Lucifer said once he was in Sam's body. "We have a lot of work to do."
"Yes, sir." Alex muttered, falling into step behind him.
"You are mine," Lucifer grabbed her arm and pulled her to walk next to him. "You will walk next to me."
"Yes, sir." Alex repeated.
"Sammy likes you." He told her, his lips twitching upwards in a smile. "He knows there's something there."
"Azazel warned me about the Winchesters." Alex saw John several hundred yards ahead of them. "I will not be romantically involved with any of them. Yes, I've used John to get close to them but it was only so I could use them if I needed to. Nothing more."
"There's so much more." Lucifer promsied. "And it's all very useful to this mission you're on and to me. You'd do well to remember that."
"Okay." They reached John who was furious that his son had an angel using him as a 'meatsuit'. Lucifer handled that with a touch to John's forehead and he was gone, safely deposited in a motel bedroom. Dean and Morgan, however, were picked up and they were taken to Lucifer's crypt. Lucifer had slipped into the back of Sam's mind and allowed Sam to take the wheel. They were back at a separate motel than John's and they made a plan to find the trials in one of Lucifer's crypts.
