"Mommy! I caught firebugs!" A small dark haired child with the bluest eyes she had ever seen ran over to Alex with a jar in her hands. "Look!"
"Very pretty, Sera." Alex kissed her daughter's forehead as the twins ran to them with their own jars. "Where's your dad?"
"He's coming. He's got some stuff to drink." Madison turned and pointed to Sam exiting the bunker with a couple of beer bottles and several bottles of juice.
"Hey, babe." Sam gave her a quick kiss as she stood up. They both chuckled when the kids vocalized their disgust in a chorus of "Ewwww!" The kids claimed their drinks then ran off in a game of tag.
"You okay?" Sam's voice made her jump and look over at him. She had been perched on the trunk of her car and was looking at the pictures of her children in the locket that future Sam had given her. Being in her younger body and being forced to do the horrible things she had done was grating on her mind. And now, Lucifer was once again dwelling in Sam's body. He had promised he wouldn't do that as long as she closed the Hellgate and prevented his cage from being occupied again. Sam joined her on the trunk. "What's wrong?"
Alex wiped her cheeks with her palms and cleared her throat. "Nothing. I'm fine."
"Why are you crying?" Sam caught a stray tear with his thumb and Alex jerked away like his touch burned her.
"PMS." Alex countered and smirked when he grimaced.
"We need to talk about the...you know." Sam licked his lips nervously. "Kiss."
"No need. This is a job and one I can't wait to finish." Alex moved away from his touch.
"Really? Cause it felt like there was something behind it." Sam watched her jump off the car.
"Don't kid yourself, Winchester." Alex snapped, spinning around to stomp over to him. "You'll be lucky if I don't kill you while you sleep."
"You talk a big game but you're full of it." Sam shot back, sliding down the back of the car and standing chest to chest with her.
"Go to Hell." Alex snarled and stormed to her room, slamming the door behind her. Morgan had been sleeping until the door slammed and then bolted upright in bed.
"What the hell, Lex?" Morgan rubbed her eyes tiredly.
"It's nothing." She waved Morgan's concern away as she stomped across the floor then back again, pacing angrily. "It's—this freaking job."
"I thought this didn't bother you. You said you liked doing what you wanted." Morgan yawned mid sentence and snuggled back in the covers. "I know you love him. You were never this way with Cas."
"My dad would kill me." Alex replied, clutching her locket tightly. She wasn't here to romance Sam, she was here to do a job then get back home to her children and her Sam.

"What the-" Dean grumbled sleepily as Alex shoved him out of his bed.
"Get out." Alex hissed, giving him her room key and closed the door behind him as he stumbled out of the room. Sam sat up in bed when he heard the door close.
"Hey, Alex." He mumbled, glancing over at Dean's bed. Sam sat up quickly when he saw the empty bed. "Where's Dean?"
"Shut up." Alex told him, yanking off her jacket and climbing on Sam's lap. She kissed him roughly and he was more than happy to return the kiss. His arms wrapped around her and Alex lost herself in the touch she knew so well.

"You weren't supposed to sleep with him." Lucifer said softly when she re dressed. "Not yet, anyway."
"I'm here to do your dirty work." Alex replied, lacing up her boots. "But Sam is mine and he always will be. Not even you can change that."
Lucifer snarled and had her pinned against the wall, squeezing her throat before she realized what was happening. "Don't forget, Lexi mine, that I will kill anyone who gets in my way. That includes you."
She clawed at his fingers and tried to gulp some air.
"I know how you're afraid of dying." Lucifer's lips were near her ear and she flinched. "I will kill you in every single way you're afraid of if you cross me. Do you understand?"
Alex nodded and Lucifer let her go, allowing her to cough and take deep breaths. He went into the bathroom and Alex sent out a silent prayer through the time stream, hoping it reached the right time. "Cas, if you can hear me, I'm in trouble. Help me."
Little did she know that her prayer was heard.
A/N: I recently received a request for part of a plot line from LadySunshine6 and it actually works well with the current story. I had to alter the original story a bit but the requested one works better anyhow. The next chapter shall be longer than this, I promise and full of action. Leave reviews please. More responses make for quicker updates. xo
