Chp 15

Time skips

After few days staying together, both generations were finally warming up and open up to each other.

Sky and her ancestor were going all out against each other that moment. Their battle was occurring in a field called 'CHESS'.

Sky laughed 'evilly' as she took down Alex's last Knight-piece.

"You're going down, Gramps!"

"Shut up!" Alexander seems stressed.

Sky sighed, she can't stay quiet anymore.

"Hey, is there something bothering you, Al... essio?"

Alex realized that Sky felt awkward addressing him as "Al", short for his middle name 'Alessio' like he told him to.

He shook his head.

"It just that, I can't take off my mind from the attacks on Vongola, Shimon, and Griffone a few days ago..."

Sky moved her bishop and creates an 'opening' for Alex.

"Attacks?! When?!" she looked at the board with a smirk on her face.

"Check!"

'so they already initiated their plans, huh?' thought Sky. Seems like she miscalculated everything.

"A day prior your arrivals" he realized the 'opening' and laughing.

"Tch, you're still green, Sera!" moving his king to the 'opening', unaware he was biting on the bait.

Sky was startled as Alex addressed her as 'Sera'. She suddenly had a nostalgic feeling, causing her to smile faintly.

Realizing her expression's change, Alex leaned towards her.

"hey, what's wrong?"

"uh... umm..." Sky was shaking her head, trying to get rid of the feelings.

"nothing, Alessio. You just reminded me of someone" she smiled bitterly.

"Remind you... of someone? Me?" asked Alex curiously. Just who on earth he reminded her of?

"who?"

Didn't want to digging back into the past, Sky quickly moved her queen-piece, sealing Alex's king's movement.

"You reminded me of someone who always loses to me. CHECKMATE, LOSER! Nyahahahaha!"

"What?!No way!" Alexander Alessio as he stared at the board in denial. Forgetting the question that he wanted to ask Sky, he yelled.

"REMATCH! NOW!"

"Hieeeee... I don't know riding a horse would be so hard!" Tsuna complains while trying to sit on the horse's back comfortably.

Giotto laughed at his descendant's antic.

"Just calm down, Tsuna. Straightens your legs just like this" Giotto was trying to demonstrate to him the right way.

"Tch... What a moron! Didn't you guys ever learn how to ride before? Isn't this like an essential knowledge for every human being?" asked G, looking irritated with the 'beginners'.

"Hey, I can ride on the horse perfectly! Don't insult Juudaime like that!" Gokudera scowled at the pink-haired man.

"Ahahaha... this is fun. Still, Tsuna was right. Riding a bicycle is easier than horse" comment Yamamoto.

"I don't even know how tor ide a bicycle" Tsuna muttered softly.

"What is this 'bicycle'?" ask Asari, looking curious.

"... is it some kind of animal?"

"Bicycle is extremely not an animal! It's an extremely transportation to the EXTREME!" Ryohei's loud voices startled the horse, making the beginners lose control over the animals and running towards the woods instead.

"HIEEEE... HELP ME!" Tsuna screamed.

"Juudaime... gah!" Gokudera hit a tree branch as he was about to reach for Tsuna.

"Ahahaha... this horse is fast!" said carefree Yamamoto.

"EXTREME! STOP THIS HORSE TO THE EXTREME!"

"Ahh, Tsuna!" Giotto looked surprised with the sudden turn of event before he started to burst out in laughing.

G was clicking his tongue and rolled his eyes at the sight of passed out-Gokudera.

"... perfectly my ass!"

"I'm still wondering what bicycle is. Yamamoto-kun, come back here!" Asari starts to chase after them first.

"THAT WAS EXTREME RIDING, RYOHEI!" shout the not-so-saint priest.

Giotto was following after Asari, still thinking how interesting the tenth generation is.

Cozart and Enma were walking around the town while having a nice talk, laughing about Alexander had lost to Sky in chess for ten consecutive times and about Tsuna and his friends getting 'kidnapped' by the horses into the wood. It seems like they are getting along well. The rest of the gang were already scattered throughout the town, thinking that they will regroup again before lunch. As both of the Shimon bosses were talking, they didn't aware of them being watched by a group of people in the black suit. As they had reached an isolated alley, they were ambushed.

It didn't take too long for them to get into their HDWM and beat the shit out of the men in black when it happened.

"Kya!" Enma could hear a little girl screaming as one of the bad guys pointing his gun at her. He quickly realized that gun design was somewhat modern.

'Bang!' instead of the girl, it was someone he knew who got shot.

"SKY!" he yelled.

She looked at his way with a shock expression.

"Enma, watch out!"

'Bang!' another shot was released.

"How is she? How is Sera?" Alex almost jumped on Tony as soon as he and his friends stepped out from the room.

Tony stared at the floor and sighed before he looked straight into the Griffone Primo's eyes. He realized Alex has already had some 'attachment' feelings to his boss, but even that fact can't make him smile now.

"we already took out the bullets. But, it'll take a while for her to wake up"

"So, can we see her?" asked Giotto, knowing what Alex's thinking.

Tony just nodded and led them into the room.

"Tch, what a stupid girl. She's telling us not to think reckless when she did it herself!" Gokudera muttered as he stopped right in front of the bed.

"Go… Gokudera-kun..." Tsuna gave him a signal, telling him to shut up.

Everyone in the room looks worried. Nate focused at Enma who he knew was currently feeling guilty.

"Don't worry, Shimon Decimo. It was not your fault. She took the bullet for you because she knew she could make it. She'll survive"

Sky looked so pale because of the massive loss of blood. It was a good call for Antonio for dragging along some medical equipment into his luggage before because he knew they will really need it. Although, what he did not expect that, it was his boss who needs that equipment.

Seeing Skylar, who was instead of smiling and laughing, lying on the bed with an oxygen mask covering her face, really breaks her guardians' heart.

"I can't take it anymore!" Danny was the first one to break down.

"First them and now her!"

His last sentences surprised everyone. Antonio who was leaning on the wall looked away from Sky.

"Shut up, Danny! I don't want to remember anything!" he lowered his body to the floor while clutching his head.

"Please, don't make me remember"

Len seated next to his brother.

"I can't believe it turns out this way when I promised to protect her!" he felt so horrible.

Nate just stood quietly, hugging his trembling body. David dropped to his knees, clutching his shirt with his body was obviously shivering. The Vongola and Shimon just stood there, looking surprised with their reactions.

'What exactly had happened before?' the same question played in everyone's mind.

"A..l. Al..." they could hear Sky's hoarse voice, calling out for someone.

"Al... do... don't... go"
