Life was good for Jack. He had something that was slowly but surely shaping up to be a family, believers, and even a place to sleep. Yes, life was good. However, Murphy's law would soon kick in and fuck everything up once again.

Jack had been flying over London when he saw the Northern Lights. In his almost ten years as a guardian, no one had had to use them, so it wasn't surprising when he inmediatly dropped the snowball fight and flew as fast as he could towards the north pole.

Luckily, he was relatively close to it, and the wind ould carry him faster than any plane, so he arrived in mere minutes. Even so, he was the third to arrive. Sandy appearently had been in the area, and Bunny could just open up a magical tunnel.

Tooth arrived a few minutes after him.

Once they were all reunited, they turned towards the one who had called them: North

"What happened?" Bunny asked

"Man in Moon wants to tell us something. Said all should be here." Even before he had finished speaking, the moonlight was alreadt shining directly on the room.

"Manny, what is it?" Tooth asked, concerned.

'Children have been disappearing.' A voice said inside their heads

"Yeah, but it's probably a crazy guy, and we can't exactly get involved with human stuff." Bunny seemed almost pained to say it

'It's not a human. I do not know who it is, but I know they are a spirit'

"Great! So now we can stop whoever they are" Jack exclaimed

"It could be anyone. And we might be pretty well known, but we don't even know how many spirits exist." Tooth interviened

'You are going to need help. Hiccup, get him.'

"Who the hell is Hiccup?" Jack asked

"I know as much as you do mate."

'He is an old spirit. One of the firsts, the only one remaining. He is smart and trustworthy. He will make a fine addition to your group'

"You are telling me this Hiccup is the oldest spirit alive?" North seemed incredulous "And we've never seen him? How are we supposed to find him now?"

'In a weeks time, he will come to you. There is only one thing I ask of you. Be kind to him. His life has been a hard one, and I don't think he could take any more heartbreak.'

"Manny, when have we ever been mean to anyone?" North waved off the moon's concerns.

"Well, me." Jack said

"And we apologized"

'Just be kind. I care about all of the spirits as if they were my children, but Hiccup is... more.'

"Because he is older?" Tooth asked

'Because he used to be my lover'

What a way to end this, huh? so, after a three year hiatus, im back. hi. sorry.
