Emma came back to the table. She sat down across from her dad instead of next to him like she was before.

"You ok Em? "Draco asked his daughter.

"Yeah I'm ok. I think I need some time to get used to all this, but my friend James had a good point. Mom wouldn't have married you if you were still that person. She's too smart for that." She smiled at her father. She took her father's hand across the table.

"You are definitely correct there. Now I was going to buy you all lunch but I can see that boy starring at Khirsa from across the room." He gestured towards Jacob. "So, I guess all I can say is go have fun. Stay out of trouble now." He pat his daughter's hand. Khirsa kissed her father's cheek and took off, practically running into Jacob's arms.

"Thank you, Daddy. I'll see you at Christmas."

"One more thing Em." He pulled a book out of his pocket and enlarged it to its actual size. It was a brand-new Hogwarts: A History.

She smiled. "Thank you, daddy." She took it and left the restaurant.

Back at the castle, Emma out straight to the library and started reading. It was complete with family trees of the Weasleys, the Malfoys, and the Blacks who were apparently her grandmother's family, Narcissa Malfoy.

Blaise found her there hours later still flipping the pages back and forth. "Emma?" He said tentatively, as not to scare her.

She looked up at him noticing the candles for the first time. "When did it get dark?" She looked around.

"About an hour ago, you missed dinner." He sat down next to her. "How about we put the book down and go to the kitchens to get you some food." He took the book from her and closed it.

She nodded at him and collected the book. He walked with her down to the kitchens and tickled the pear. "That's how you get in the kitchens?" She giggled.

"Yeah not the coolest entrance, but hey the food is good."

While they waited for her food, he turned to her. "So, do you wanna talk about what happened at lunch?"

"I don't know. I'm still not even sure what happened. Basically, he explained that he was a horrible person. I mean reading this I can see how sucky his childhood must have been, but I am still finding it really hard to see a man like my dad as someone so cold hearted."

The head elf brought her a plate of food and she sat down at the small makeshift table they had. "Well just remember right now he is not that same person, people and perspectives change." He walked over and sat across from her.

They idly chatted while she ate and when she was done he walked her to the Gryffindor Common Room.

"I know you've had a long day, but there is something I want to do and have wanted to do for a while now." Then without warning he kissed her. It was sweet and passionate. She wasn't even sure how she felt about Blaise before this and this kiss didn't make it any easier. When they broke apart Emma stood there in a bit of a shock.

"Um goodnight then." She said and went through the partial hole.

The normal crew was sitting around the fire. "Hey where have you been?" Khirsa asked.

"Bedroom." Was all Emma said before rushing up the stairs. Khirsa looked confused. She kissed Jacob good night and ran upstairs.

Emma was pacing and muttering to herself. "Em, what is wrong?"

"He kissed me. I'm not even sure if I like him and he kissed me!"

"Who Emma?"

Emma continued to pace. "I mean he's very good looking and seems like a respectable person!

Khirsa sighed in frustration. "Emmalena Jean Malfoy stop pacing and talk to me!" She yelled at her

twin sister. Emma stopped pacing. "Who kissed you?"

"Blaise." She took a deep breath she really wasn't good with boys.

"Ok, did you like it?"

"I mean yes. It was a really good kiss."

"Ok, do you want to do it again?"

"Yeah kind of."

"Ok so next time you see him ask him on a date. One date can't hurt."

Emma nodded. "Ok, that could work. What do I do if I don't like the date?"

"You tell him it's not working out. Easy peasy. Now I think it's time you go to bed." Emma

nodded again.

"Merlin what would I do without you?"

"You'd be lonely and lost. Now go to sleep." Khirsa gestured to Emma's bed and turned to go back to the common room.

The next morning Emma got up early and because it was Sunday she didn't wake Khirsa. She figured her sister deserved to sleep in.

The Great Hall was pretty empty. Not many people were up this early. She sat down and started to eat some toast. Soon after James came in and sat across from her.

"Morning James." She smiled at him.

"Good morning Emma. Hey so what are you doing today?"

"I'm not sure. Why what's up?" She poured herself some oatmeal.

Before he could say anything, Blaise sat down next to her and kissed her on the cheek. "Good morning beautiful!"

She blushed. "Good morning Blaise. James was just asking me what I was doing today." James puffed up a little when she mentioned him.

"Well hopefully you are spending it with me. I was hoping that we could have lunch and hang out. You've been working so hard you deserve a break." James shot daggers with his eyes a Blaise spoke. Go away Zabini, he thought.

"Oh, that sounds nice. Sure, why not." She nodded.

"Great well enjoy your breakfast and then we can hang out." He kissed her on the cheek again. "See ya Potter." He then strafed off to the Slytherin table.

Emma grinned. James was the first person to say anything between them. "So, when did that happen?" He gestured to Blaise with a nodded of the head.

"Oh, um, last night. He took me to the kitchens for some dinner and when he dropped me off at the Common Room he kissed me. I'm not sure how I feel about it, but it can't hurt to go on a date to see right?" She stared at her toast picking it apart.

James sighed. He really wished she was saying that about him and not Blaise. "Yeah I guess it's the only real way to tell."

"What do you think of him James?" She put down her toast and looked up at him.

"I don't know him very well so I can't really tell you." James wanted to be honest with her and not tell her about the rumors that he was in an on again off again fling with Ellie Montague.

Emma nodded and suddenly the rest of the Gryffindors came rushing in so they didn't miss breakfast.

So surprise, I'm back. I'm really trying hard to at least finish my stories. This is going to be the hardest of my three though. I'm struggling a lot to come up with unique things to happen in this story. There are so many characters to follow and so many dynamics that it's really challenging to me. I can tell you that there will be a Blaise/Emma relationship and I'm starting to hint at some foreshadowing here. My challenge to myself is one chapter per story a week. I have two pages of possible ideas and plot twists. There will also be more of the original Weasley family coming. I am also having to do a lot of original characters in this story that are either completely new or the child of someone so if you want to see someone's child let me know.
