Chapter One

Inside the PC

Narrator Perspective (Third Person)

Once upon a time, in a mansion in the woods near Pallet Town, there lived a young trainer. She was an Eevee breeder whose Eeveelutions were known far and wide for their beauty, intelligence, and strength. But, alas, she didn't have time or room for all of the Eevees that she breeded, so the trainer had a PC installed inside her house, where she kept most of the Eevees and Eeveelutions.

This is the story of a young Eevee who lived inside the PC. He didn't have a name yet. Young Eevees are a little like a blank canvas. It is only when they grow older or evolve does the painting start to take shape. Now, since no one really knows what to name a blank canvas, the older Eevees have decided to let their young earn their name by either evolving or performing a heroic feat. Most Eevees earn their name after they evolve, but only a small subsection of Eevees earn their name by doing heroic feats or special achievement that allow them to earn their name.

This young Eevee wants his name more than anything in the world, as he hated being called something like Hey You or Eevee. (All young Eevees are called Eevee until they earn their name.) But his mind was set on one thing. He didn't want to evolve. He wanted to be one of those special Eevees who do heroic feats to earn their names. But he didn't want to be called Eevee for the rest of his life either...

Eevee (The next section is from Eevee's POV!)

I have decided how to get my name! I will volunteer for the next quest that will become available. Since you probably don't know what quests are, I will explain. Quests are special and very very rare (Even rarer than a shiny Eevee) events that happen in a time of desperate urgency, and they are more often then not dangerous. There will be a chosen Eevee that will lead the quest and he or she will pick other Eeveelutions to go with him or her. Once they obtain whatever they are looking for or complete the mission, they will travel back home. But a quest is a great opportunity to earn a name, since if you survived, you were viewed as a hero! And I had such little chance to go outside the PC to see the world!

The PC is beautiful and all, with the lush forest, green grass, and flowing clear rivers, but take one step in here and you will soon find out that the grass, the trees, the water, that it is all artificial. When I was small, I spent the first month of my life outside the PC while my mom and dad raised me. I was little then, and now I forgot all traces of the real world. There is also all types of Eeveelutions in here, not to mention the countless Eevees like me. My dad is a Vaporeon named Hydro, while mom is an Espeon named Violet. I also have a big sis who is 5 years older than me, since I am only 6 years old in Eevee years.

Big Sis is a shiny Glaceon named Glass. Do you know what is really unfair? Big Sis is on the trainer's attack team and participates in countless battles and travels through Kanto with her! While the rest of us are stuck in the PC! She is also super strong and level 98, 2 levels until maximum level. So unfair! I would trade my life for hers in a second! When Big Sis is home though, she is a wonderful playmate and tells great stories about her adventures throughout Kanto. One of my favorite things is listening to the stories about a world that I have never known.

My life in the PC is great, and my parents are wonderful, but sometimes I wish I could see the outside world more often. The quest would fulfill both the desire to earn my name and the urging to be outside the PC.

But one day...

A exhausted messenger Eevee rushed into the PC. He screamed, "The PC is locked! The key has been stolen! We are trapped in here!" Then he collapsed. The healers, (Leafeons, Sylveons) rushed to his side and tried to use healing moves to revive him. The council was immediately called to order, a collection of our strongest and wisest Eevees and Eeveelutions, to decide what to do. Eevees and many other pokemon count power and levels as experience, therefore the strongest Eevees and Eeveelutions were on the council. Age sometimes counted, but power was the commanding factor. If you had enough levels and power, then you could be newly hatched for all they care and still be on the council. So, of course, Big Sis was counted. Humph.

I walked over to my group of friends, which consists of Leafia the Leafeon, Glacia the Glaceon, who was Leafia's sister, Nymph the Sylveon, and Wisp the Espeon, who were all girls. The boys were: Jolt, Flare, and Bubbles, our Vaporeon, Flareon, and Jolteon. They were triplets. Also Night the Umbreon, who was an only child, and of course, me!

At the current state, my friends were all shell-shocked at what just happened. Many of them have been outside before, and didn't quite get the idea that the PC was locked, and we had to stay in here forever.

As I approached, Leafia broke out of her trance and exclaimed, "Oh, Eevee, this is horrible! If what the messenger said is true, you will never be able to see Glass again!"

I stopped in my tracks. The thought that I would never see Glass again was unbearable. Not that she was home much anyway, but she was my sister and I would miss her terribly.

I sat. "Do you guys think they are going to call a quest?" I asked.

"I dunno. If they do, are you going to volunteer us?" Flare said, glancing at me doubtfully.

"Ummmmm..." My friends knew that I wanted to go on a quest, and to be on a quest you needed a team of at least 3 Pokemon and at most 9. Meaning I couldn't go on my own. My ears dropped. I knew that there was the possibility that my friends wouldn't want to go. I sighed.

Suddenly a portal opened at the base of the great oak tree, same as the one that had opened just a few moments ago when the messenger came. To my surprise, a shiny Glaceon emerged.

"Glass?"
