Chapter Five

Paralysis

I ate the treat, and it was delicious! I immediately wanted more.. But then Wisp called, "Hey guys, I think something is wrong with Eevee!"

"What?" Glass asked. "What is wrong with him?"

"It's like he can't move or something." Wisp answered, and Eevee barely moved his chin in a small nod.

! checked him over. "This looks like…" I noticed the small traces of electricity fizzing over Eevee's body, "paralysis!" Again, Eevee gave a small nod.

"What could have caused this?" Glass started to think aloud, "I know that inside town pokemon didn't attack one another, so he couldn't have been hit by an electric move, but some very special pokemon can slip traces of Stun Spore inside a object that if Eevee came into contact with he could have been paralyzed. What did Eevee touch though? The berries? Then we would have all been paralyzed. The treats? It seemed to fit, but how come only Eevee was paralyzed and not the rest of us? Then it hit me. Eevee must have ate a treat ahead of us, so he was paralyzed sooner, but it meant that the rest of us would be paralyzed also, sooner or later. Guys, the treats are a trap! They have Stun Spore in-" Her voice stopped working! The spore must have worked quicker on her then on Eevee.

Soon, the rest of my friends also came under the spell of paralysis. Oh no! I was the only one left unparalyzed! That was because I was an electric type, I knew, but how was I going to get my friends freed from paralysis? I didn't have any Cheri berries with me to cure them, as we had learned in Berryology back in the school in the PC.

The wall exploded behind me. I realized that the people who put us under the paralysis might be back to take us away to who knows where. To learn more, I stopped moving and pretended to be paralyzed like my friends. A human walked in. I dimly thought that humans weren't supposed to be in a pokemon town. He didn't look nice. He wore black robes that draped to his feet and his face was covered with a hood that shadowed his features. Then he pulled it down and I looked into the face of pure evil. He might be handsome if his features weren't marred by cruelty. His ice blue eyes scanned the room until he saw us. His thin mouth curved into a smile. He had pale skin, as if it had never seen the sun. I was afraid for my friends, unable to move and forced to watch as the man stepped toward us. The man said, "Hello. I believe this is our first meeting, and your first encounter with Team Darkness."

This is kind of short, but whatever! I promise the next chapter will make up for it!
