Chapter Six

Team Darkness

Jolt

"Hello. I believe this is our first meeting, and your first encounter with Team Darkness." he continued in a voice so cold it sent chills along my spikes. It was as if he had no emotion at all. "You may want to know some things before I capture you and take you back to the boss. My name is Cassius. Our mission, as Team Darkness, is to cast the world into darkness. Light is too blinding, too pure. Only in darkness can the world truly flourish. And you, my friends, will help us reach this goal. I heard that Eevees and Eeveelutions can fetch quite a price in the market. And that money will help us pay for the tools needed to reach our goal. Now it is time for your demise and our rise!"

This man had quite a flair for dramatic speaking, I'll give him that. He reached under his robe and pulled out a pokeball. "Go, Zoroark! WIn this battle and serve me well!" A snarling pokemon that I have never seen before popped out. He was gray and red, with a long mane down his back, and slanted cunning blue eyes. My spikes spiked. He was terrifying and I knew that he wouldn't hesitate to harm my friends. "Capture them and bring them to me." Cassius ordered. The pokemon turned his eyes toward us. I instantly knew that I must stop him from capturing my friends. So I jumped up to face him in battle.

Jolt used Thunder Wave!

Zoroark was paralyzed!

"Fool!" Cassius shouted, face contorted in rage. Remember what I said earlier about Cassius has no emotion? Erase that. Cassius has "I-really-want-to-kill-you" emotion. Aka rage. "I will treat you ten times worse for that. I shall enjoy your defeat." He used an Paralyze Heal on Zoroark.

"No fair! That's cheating!" I cried.

"All's fair in battle!" Zoroark replied. His voice bore a chilling similarity to his trainer's.

Zoroark used Dark Pulse!

This time it was me who cried out. I was knocked backward by the force and into the wall. Luckily, all of the pokemon here have evacuated, or I might have hit them. "Ouch! That hurt!" I glared at the Zoroark angrily.

"Oh no! I hurt someone! I'm going to cry and go have a time-out now!" He mocked me.

Jolt used Agility! Jolt's speed rose!

"See if you can catch me now…" I muttered under my breath. He was at a higher level than me, and that one hit had taken out almost half my HP. My only chance to win is if I avoid his attacks and snipe him.

Zoroark used Dark Pulse!

Jolt avoided the attack!

Jolt used Thunder Shock!

It only took a tenth off his HP bar, and Cassius immediately healed him with a potion. This was going to be harder than I thought. Suddenly, I heard a voice in my mind.

Jolt, it's me. Listen to me if you wish to win this battle.

I cut this chapter in two because it was too long, so the next part of Jolt's battle is in chapter 7! (But chapter 6 is pretty short too...whoops) Introducing Team Darkness! What Pokemon story is complete without a corny evil organization? Like Team Rocket but...uh, more evil? :3
