A/N: Hey guys I'm back with another one-shot! I hope everyone is enjoying these as much I as am enjoying writing them!

#6

Neji sighed in his office while looking over the profit for the week. He really couldn't complain. This shop was currently bringing in more money than his other two on the opposite side of the city. He was now debating on whether or not he should make the café 24 hours. He would need to hire two new team members, but that wouldn't be too hard since he was located near the university.

"Hey Neji!"

Neji looked up to see Naruto smiling at him. "What can I do for you?"

The blonde blushed a little and scratched the back of his head. Now Neji had to raise a bow to that. Naruto was never one to act nervous or blush. "I was wondering if you could hire a friend of mine."

Neji leaned back in his seat. "A friend?" he asked looking at Naruto.

Naruto nodded his head and sat in the seat in front of Neji's desk. "I know we may not need the help, but he's willing to work pat-time."

Neji sighed. He would hate to tell Naruto no, but he really didn't need anyone at this particular store at the moment. Neji looked at Naruto's bright blue eyes and frowned a little. Naruto never really asked much besides to eat there for free. "Fine," Neji said and Naruto jumped up and cheered. "Have him fill out an application and bring it in tomorrow. I'll interview him them. Ok?"

"Leave it me! I'll make sure that bastard is on time!" Naruto yelled pulling the shorter male against him in a tight hug.

Neji just smiled and patted Naruto's back. He could really understand why his younger cousin was so taken with Naruto. He was really a breath of fresh air and not to mention he made coming in to work a lot more entertaining. "Ok, now get back to work and tell that lazy ass Nara don't lay his head on the counter!"

"Got it boss!"

Neji flopped back down in his seat. He massaged his temple and laughed a little. It was wired how managed to hire some of his former classmates to help run his stores. Three managers, three shift leaders, and eight employees for each store and counting. Now that Neji thought about it, he could use a new manager for his current location since the one he had now wasn't to his liking very much. Maybe Naruto's friend would have the qualifications to manage the store.

. . . . . . . . . . . . .

"Come on Sasuke, you're the one who said you needed a job remember?!"
Sasuke rolled his eyes at the loud mouth blonde. He did remember saying he was thinking about working somewhere new because he was tired of his father's unreasonable demands. He wanted to prove he could work and make his own money. "Yeah, but not at some café."

"You'll love it seriously! We get paid better than any other restaurant in the area. Not to mention plenty of cute girls work there," Naruto said playfully elbowing Sasuke.

Sasuke frowned even more. "Now I'm really not going," Sasuke mumbled.

"Awe man. I told Neji you would come with me this morning…" Naruto whined as Sasuke pushed him towards the door.

"Listen idiot, I'll go, but I'm not saying I'll take the job."

"Ok, come on before I'm late!"

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Neji walked through the café with Ino as she prepared the dining area for customers. "So it's unanimous?"

Ino faced Neji with her hands on her hips. "Yeah, I hated that bitch the moment she stepped through the door. All she does is yell and flirt with customers. We all agree that she needs to be replaced."

"That's what I thought. Well I'll deal with things from here," he told her making his way back to his office. Every employee he talked to had the same things to say about the current manager. Even his cousin Hanabi complained about the woman's attitude.

"Sakura," Neji called over the intercom.

"Hey Neji, what's up?" she asked standing in the door way.

"Where's Naruto, he's late…."

Sakura frowned in thought. She was sure Naruto should have been here by now. "I'm not sure. He left our apartment early this morning saying he had a stop to make before work."

"Ok, you may go," Neji said. He was going to get Naruto for this.

"Sooooorry!" Naruto yelled.

Neji sighed. "So where is your friend?"

"Oh yeah," Naruto said peeking his head out the door. "Hey he's ready for you."

Neji stood up as Naruto's friend entered his office. He held out his hand only to be shocked at who he saw. He never thought he would see him applying to work for him of all people. "It good to see you again Sasuke."

Sasuke took Neji's hand and gave it a firm shake. "Same to you Hyuga," Sasuke said sitting in the chair in front of Neji's desk.

Neji then sat down too and looked over Sasuke's application. "Well everything looks good. I just have to ask….Why do you want to work here?"

Sasuke shrugged his shoulders. He honestly didn't want to work there, but he wouldn't tell Neji that. "Trying something new."

"Un huh," was all Neji said looking back down at the application. "I noticed you have some experience in higher management. What were your responsibilities at your last job?"

Sasuke relaxed a little in his seat. He had never really gone through a job interview before and really didn't want to answer all these questions. "As you probably know I worked for Uchiha Inc. for about four years as the lead in the advertising department. I was over about 50 employees on my floor and assigned and managed all the advertising accounts."

Neji couldn't believe what he was hearing. Sasuke held a job like that and now want to work as a cashier in his café? It really made no sense at all. Someone of his caliber could surely work at any company of his choosing. "That's pretty impressive. How old are you now 24, 25?"

"24, 25 in three months," Sasuke answered.

"So what experience do you have with cashiering?" Neji asked. He was sure the answer was none.

"I don't know much about it all really," Sasuke answered.

Neji was expecting that answer. "You filled out you wanted to work 40 plus hours a week, but I was told you were looking for part-time work." Neji thought for a moment. If Sasuke wanted to work full-time, he wondered if he wanted a managing position.

"Whatever you got is fine," Sasuke said looking around the office.

"How would you like to be the manager of this place?" Neji asked.

Sasuke turned his attention back to the man in front of him. He noted the small smile gracing the beautiful man features. Sasuke mentally slapped himself for thinking Neji was beautiful. "Fine, what's the pay?"

"Well the standard pay hourly for managers here is roughly $28 hour, but seeing as you are more than qualified, and not to mention your degree in Finance and Adverting. I'd like to offer you $42."

Sasuke thought about for a bit. It was whole lot less than what he was used to getting paid, but he could manage with that amount. He could only admire, a little at least, for being able to pay him more than average. It only meant that the cafes he owned were doing really well. "Ok."

Neji smiled. "Ok, good. I just need you to fill out this paperwork and I will be right back. So take your time." Neji quickly left the office and let out a huge breath, he hadn't even realized he was holding his breath. 'God that Uchiha looks even better than I remember,' Neji thought to himself as he went to find the current manager.

He saw her leaning against the counter shameless flirting with some older gentleman. Neji recognized the man as a regular. "Tayuya, a word please," Neji said walking off to the side with the red head following him.

"What is it?" she asked folding her arms.

Neji rolled his eyes at her attitude. Now he started to wonder how she got to become a manager to begin with. Maybe he thought her tough attitude would keep the employees in check. "You're fired."

"WHAT?!"

"You heard me, I'm letting you go. So please leave immediately before I have to escort out. Your next check will be mailed to you ," Neji said walking away from the fuming woman. He couldn't help but smile. It was easier than he thought firing her.

Neji peeked his head into this office to see Sasuke laid back relaxed with his arms folded. Neji noticed he had his eye closed. 'God that man is handsome' Neji thought entering his office. Neji composed himself and entered his office. "Are you done?"

"Yeah," Sasuke said pushing the paper towards Neji.

"Ok let's see," Neji said softly looking over everything. "Looks good Sasuke, I want you to come back during closing time and I will start your training. You know, so that you get the hang of everything. I show how to work the register, prep the kitchen, and other stuff. Sounds good?"

"It's a date, see you at 9:30," Sasuke said standing up causing Neji to do the same.

"I look forward to working with you Sasuke," Neji said offering the Uchiha a small smile.

"Yeah, me too."

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Sasuke looked at himself in his mirror. He wasn't sure what he should wear. "What am I doing?" Sasuke asked himself. He was acting like he was actually going on a date with the Hyuga. He was simply meeting him for training.

Sasuke then pulled on his black cardigan and slipped on his black loafers. He hoped Neji would recognize his shoes and think he wasn't serious about the job. It was difficult sometimes for him to dress down since he owned enough clothes and shoes to buy half the city.

Sighing he picked up his keys and gave himself another good once over before leaving his penthouse.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Neji was just about to lock the door when he saw a black Mercedes pull in front of the café. He wasn't surprised when he saw Sasuke step out of the driver's side. Neji couldn't help but blush a little at how good the Uchiha looked I all black. Neji himself didn't care much for black, but he loved the way it looked on Sasuke.

"I was just closing up, come on in," Neji said opening the door wide for Sasuke to enter. Neji locked the door and turned to see Sasuke watching him causing him to blush. "Well shall we get started?" Neji asked clearing his throat.

Sasuke followed Neji towards the back of the café. He noticed Neji was wearing the standard uniform he saw other wearing earlier that day.

"So we'll start here and make our way toward the front," Neji instructed as they entered a room. "This is the employee break room. This is where we take breaks and store our things. This is your new locker here next to mine," Neji said handing Sasuke a small key.

"Thanks."

Neji nodded and smiled. "Ok so it's your job to assign breaks for each employee and I'll be here most of the time to help you out with that until you get the hang of it," Neji said. "Ok, next stop is your office."

Sasuke followed quietly behind Neji towards another door. He really liked listening to the Hyuga's smooth voice. It wasn't deep, but it was calming in a way.

"Here is where you will do all your paper work and scheduling for the day. It's not much, but you can decorate anyway you want," Neji said handing Sasuke a sliver key attached to a red moon keychain. "So over here is a safe where you will count all the money for the registers that day. Normally we only prepare four, but sometimes you may need more."

"Should I be writing this down?" Sasuke asked.

Neji smiled and shook his head. "No, this is just an overview. I don't expect you to be able to run this place tomorrow morning. I have written out everything I'm telling you to take home to go over," Neji answered. There was an awkward silence as Neji blushed as Sasuke just stared at him. "So….The next thing is kitchen."

Sasuke looked around the spacious kitchen area. He noted how clean and in place everything was. It looked as if everything was brand new.

"So here is where the magic happens I suppose. We have one head of the kitchen and he has three people under him to help prepare food for the customers. You'll get to know all them tomorrow. Choji will give you the tour of how things work in here."

Sasuke touch the grill and noted he recognized the brand and was again impressed by the quality of Neji's café. "Can we turn the grill on?"

Neji was surprised by the request. "Uh, sure if you want," Neji answered. He watched as Sasuke turn the grill on. "Did you want to, um make something?" Neji asked.

Sasuke turned to look at the blushing Hyuga. "If that's ok…"

Neji nodded his head. "Sure, go ahead. Will you excuse me for a moment? Please feel free to use anything you like," Neji said exiting the kitchen.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Neji entered the nearest bathroom and looked at himself in the mirror. "Breathe…" It was different for Neji to feel weird around anyone. He could only remember one other person to make him feel as flustered as Sasuke was now without even trying.

Neji splashed a little water on his face to cool himself off. He wondered if Sasuke felt the strange tension between them. If he did he didn't seem to bother him as much as it did Neji. "Mixing business and pleasure is never good," Neji told himself. He took a paper towel and patted his face dry. He had always felt the need to distant himself from getting too personal with employees.

Neji slowly made his way to the kitchen and smelled something really good. He slowed his pace and saw Sasuke standing over the grill with a more than serious face. He couldn't help but laugh a little to himself at Sasuke's face. "Were you going to stare at me the whole time?" Neji jumped a little when he heard Sasuke's voice. He hadn't even notice him turn to look at him.

"Sorry, did you need any help?" Neji asked.

"No, I'll be done soon…"

Neji just sat in the counter behind Sasuke. He couldn't help but take a good look at Sasuke's clothes. He noted that everything Sasuke had on was name brand. Even the black t-shirt he wore under his cardigan. What really caught Neji's attention were Sasuke's shoes. He knew the brand well because he owned a brown pair similar to the ones Sasuke owned. "Interesting choice in shoes…."

Sasuke looked over his shoulder and saw Neji looking at his shoes. "You like them?" Sasuke asked turning back around.

"I do. Just curious as to why you would wear $1200 shoes here."

Sasuke sighed and tuned off the grill. He knew Neji would question him sooner or later, but he'd really hoped that Neji wouldn't take notice of his clothes. But when Sasuke really thought about, he should have known Neji would be the first to notice something dealing with name brands. The Hyuga himself used to be known for his taste in high fashion items. "It's all I have. I've been dressing more casual than I did in high school, so I don't own many pairs of sneakers."

Neji just hmed in response. "Sasuke, can I asked you something?"

"You already did," came Sasuke's deep voice.

Neji rolled his eyes and stood next to Sasuke as he moved the food from the grill to a plate. "Why aren't you working for your family anymore? I mean you were pretty successful there, why leave?"

Sasuke looked. "Why don't you work for your uncle? I mean you could have been pretty successful there too…"

Neji frown and thought about what Sasuke said. It was true, he could be working at an office making ten times what he did running his cafes. "I'm sure you've heard the story," Neji replied.

"Should I believe the stories?" Sasuke asked.

"I don't see why not. Every bit of fiction has a bit of truth to it," Neji replied. "My story is no different."

Sasuke narrowed his eyes at Neji. He could see he wasn't going to get anything out of him without prying it from him. "I left because I wanted to make something for myself without the help of my father. I needed a change and opportunity to do something I wanted to do."

Neji folded his arms and smiled. "So that's working a café?"

"Actually I had never planned on taking this job. Naruto insisted that I at least meet with you before I made my decision. Like you said before, I can work anywhere I want with my qualification."

"Then why take the offer?" Neji was genuinely curious.

Sasuke ignored Neji's question and held a fork up to his mouth. "Taste this."

Neji blushed and looked at Sasuke's serious face. He noted that when it came to cooking Sasuke seemed to be very serious. "O-ok," he stutters out eating the food that was offered to him. "It's really good!"

Sasuke smirked and offered another fork full to Neji who eagerly accepted it. "I'm glad you like it."

Neji then blushed after he realized Sasuke was feeding him. "Sorry," he said softly wiping his mouth. "Where did you learn to cook?"

"My mother," Sasuke answered.

Neji watched as Sasuke ate from the same fork he fed him with. Neji blushed at the indirect kiss shared between the two. "Is that why you want to work here?"

"My mother loved food," Sasuke answered.

Neji offered a sad smile. He knew Sasuke's mother passed two years prior. He attended the funeral with his uncle and cousins. It was painful seeing Sasuke in so much pain, but he was no better when his father died. "You're doing this for her, aren't you?"

"Partly, but mostly for myself. You're doing this for you father?"

Neji smiled. "Partly, but like you mostly for myself."

Sasuke could see the glassy look in Neji eyes and almost laughed. Neji was always a softy. "What's with the tears Hyuga?"

Neji pouted a little. "You've always been an asshole, you know that?"

This time Sasuke did laugh out loud and patted the top of the shorter males head. Sasuke ran his finger through the silky strands. "And you've always been a crybaby."

Neji swatted Sasuke hand away and folded him arms. "I am not a crybaby. I just have strong emotions when it comes to certain things is all." Neji pouted and looked away from Sasuke.

Sasuke gave Neji 'whatever you say' look before starting to eat again. He could admit he enjoyed Neji's company a little more than he thought he would. They were not best buds or anything in high school but they did always have good conversation whenever they did talk. Sasuke noticed Neji stealing glances at him. He held the fork back out for Neji to take a bite.

Neji blushed and shook his head no causing Sasuke to shrug and eat the food himself. "So we should do this again."

"Do what?" Neji asked.

"You know, have another date," Sasuke said to the now blushing Hyuga.

When Neji thought about it, he could see the reason Sasuke was so well dressed when he showed up. When he said earlier it was a date Neji didn't know he meant that literally. "This i-is a date?"

"Do you not want it to be?" Sasuke asked looking Neji dead in the eyes.

"Well….yes! I mean n-no….Uh yes..t-that's um…" Neji couldn't find the right words. He wasn't sure if Sasuke was serious or just trying to mess with him.

Sasuke couldn't help but smile a little. "So, what about tomorrow then?"

"Wait, what? Are you serious?" Neji asked not wanting to get his hopes up.

"Yeah, unless you don't like spending time with me."

"No I do, it just seems so odd you want to spend time with me," Neji said stepping closer to Sasuke.

Sasuke looked at Neji and scratched his cheek. "I can see how this is odd, but why not give it a try. It's clear that you like me and I like you too. So let's see where this goes."

"Ok, that should be fine I suppose," Neji said blushing a little. "But we have to stay professional at work. I don't normal get involved with my employees."

"Roger that."

4 months later

Neji sat in his office going over the monthly profits and he was impressed by the increase since Sasuke started working there. It was surely because the college girls were there to try and gain his attention. Which didn't bother Neji as long as they kept buying things.

"Hey boss!"

Neji looked up to see Naruto standing in his doorway. "Hey Naruto, what can I do for you?"

"Oh yeah, I was wondering if I could ask you something,"

Neji smiled. "Ok, what?"

"Well it's really none of my business or anything, but-" Naruto moved closer to Neji. "- but are you and Sasuke….you know?" he asked softly.

Neji entire face turned red. "Why w-would you ask t-that?" Neji almost yelled.

"Oh well, I was going to drag the bastard out last night for drinks." Neji couldn't help but swallow when he listened to Naruto speak. "He always leave his door open so I just went in like I always do. I had some totally hot chicks for us to hang out with, but when I got to his bedroom door I heard noises."

Neji sighed. He was sure he could get out of this. "So what exactly does that have to do with me?" Neji asked.

"Well that's the part I was wondering too. I saw your coat and your shoes there. So naturally I assumed maybe you guys were hanging out. But when I heard the noise from the room it kind of sound like you," Naruto finished with a small blush of his own.

"I uh-"

"Hey idiot!"

Both Naruto and Neji turned to see the topic of their conversation leaning against the door.

"Hey you can't talk to me like that! Tell him Neji," Naruto said pointing at Sasuke.

Neji sighed and massaged his temples. "Sasuke, do you need Naruto?" Neji asked. "If you do we're done here."

"Not really, but he should be wiping down the table while there aren't many people here," Sasuke said sitting in the chair in front if Neji's desk.

"Oh hey since you're here I can ask you…"

"Naruto!" Neji said quickly.

Sasuke looked between the two. "Ask me what?"

"I came over last night to invite you out but when I got there you was busy doing you know what. So I was wondering if you and Neji were together."

Sasuke looked at Neji blushing face and couldn't help but laugh. "Sure."

"Uchiha!" Neji fumed standing out of his chair glaring at Sasuke. "Naruto would you please give us a moment?"

"Ha I knew it! I can't believe I didn't realize it earlier. You guys are always together and not to mention the time Ino came in early and said she heard some moaning in Sasuke's office!"

"Naruto. Leave. Now." Neji said pointing to the door.

"Are you guys about to have make-up sex?" Naruto asked as Neji pushed him out the door.

"God if I didn't like him I would so fire him," Neji mumbled siting down slowly in his seat.

"People were going to find out eventually anyway. Who care if they know…."

Neji could help but agree with Sasuke. It's not like they wouldn't accept their relationship. Neji just wanted to keep everything professional at work since none of the employees were involved with each other besides those two big mouthed blonds Ino and Naruto. "You're right."

"I'm always right," Sasuke said with a wink. He leaned over the desk and gave Neji a quick peck on the lips before pulling back. "You coming over tonight?"

Neji blushed. "Do you even have to ask…"

"I was thinking, why don't you just move in," Sasuke said looking at Neji.

"Seriously?"

"Yeah, I like going to sleep with you beside me at night and waking up to your face…"

Neji rolled his eyes. "You don't have to be all corny. I'll move in with you."

"How could you say no to thing face?" Sasuke said walking towards the door.

A/N: Hey guys I hope you liked it! Please excuse all the mistakes you may see. I tried to catch them all, but it can be difficult at times.
