A/N: Hi guys I'm back with another one-shot and fast too! I really appreciate the reviews and few follows and favs I received. I know I've probably said this before, but I'll write as long as someone wants to read it. I don't have to have 100s of reviews, I can just write for 5 people if they enjoy my stories and be happy with that. So thanks again everyone!

"I think I have a crush..."
Salsuke couldn't but look up from his book. That wasn't something he was expecting his childhood friend to say. He had been friends with the Hyuga for almost 20 years and in all those years he had never heard the word crush come out of his mouth.
"A crush? As in you like someone?" Sasuke asked.
"Yeah...strange isn't it?" Neji asked with a small laugh. He had to admit it was odd that he liked anyone besides Sasuke. But it was good he able to look pass Sasuke at someone else.
"Real strange, so who is she?" Sasuke asked. He knew whoever this woman was she had to be something impressive to get his prissy friend's attention.
"Well, his name is Naruto..."
There was a silence where Sasuke just stared at Neji. Out of all the people he could have named it had to be Naruto. Forget the fact Neji's crush is a guy, but Naruto? "You're kidding right?"
"No, I'm serious. I was hoping you could properly introduce us."
Sasuke frowned. There was no way he was hooking his two friends up. He and Naruto became close during their freshman year of high school. Neji and Naruto never really met because Neji attended a different high school than they did. Since they were so different, Neji never hung out with him when he was with Naruto and other high school classmates.
"Not happening..."
Neji frowned, "Why not?"
How could he tell Neji he much rather date Neji date him than Naruto? "I just don't think it'll work. You guys are too different..."
"So are you and I, but I enjoy your company more than anyone else." Neji watched Sasuke frown as he continued to looked down at the book in his hand. It oddly seemed like Sasuke was being a brat about the situation. He could understand how it could be a bit different having two of your close friends date, but it could work.
"I get it..."
"Get what?" Sasuke asked.
Neji narrowed his eyes. "You're jealous..."
Sasuke frowned and closed his book. There was no way he was jealous. "Yeah right Hyuga." Sasuke stood up and placed the book on a desk. "Sakura's having a party tomorrow night and Naruto's going to be there. So be there."
Neji didn't respond because before he could say anything Sasuke was already leaving. He had to admit he liked jealous Sasuke. He had never seen Sasuke as this way and it was cute.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Neji sat a small bar in the corner. He had to admit that Sakura had a nice set-up in her home. It was almost like it was made for parties. Neji looked at his phone. 'where is he?' Neji asked himself. He had arrived before Sasuke and had been there for almost 30 minutes. He was hoping Sasuke would have gotten over his little jealous rant by now.
"Hey, you're Neji right!"
Neji turned to meet bright blue eyes. He had to quickly fight down a blush. Naruto was even more handsome up close. He had been observing the blonde for a few weeks before he realized he liked him.
"Naruto?" Neji asked extending his hand. "I've heard a lot about you."
Naruto took Neji's hand in his and gave it a quick shake before sitting down beside him. "I'm sure all bad coming from that moody bastard Sasuke."
Neji couldn't helo but laugh. Sasuke was a little moody. "Well you know Sasuke."
"Can I get you something else to drink?" Naruto asked.
"I've already had one too many, but thanks anyway," Neji said with a small smile.
/
Sasuke entered the room and was quickly greeted by Sakura. He gave her a nod before scanning the loud room. He knew Neji was already there since Neji had texted him twice. He finally found him sitting at a small bar with Naruto. Sasuke eyes widened a little a what he saw. He had never seen Neji laugh the way he was with Naruto. They seemed like old friends, and it was obvious that idiot Naruto was flirting with Neji.
"Oh I see you found your friend. Naruto's been keeping him company," Sakura said resting her arm on Sasuke's shoulder. "He's cute. Is he single?"
Sasuke bit the inside of his cheek."Not for long..."
\
Neji had to put his hand over his chest. He hadn't laugh this hard in years. Naruto really was a funny and genuinely nice guy.
"Can I have you number..."
Neji's laughed immediately halted. Was he hearing right.
"I, uh I mean...you know..." Naruto said nervously rubbing the back of his head.
"Yeah, I do," Neji said reaching for Naruto's phone. He put in number and saved it. "Make sure you use it."
Naruto blushed we Neji gave his phone back. "Better believe it!"
Neji smiled and turned his attention to the crowd when he noticed Sasuke was there. He waved for Sasuke to come, but was completely ignored. Was Sasuke really ignoring him? "Childish..." Neji mumbled turning back towards Naruto.
"Hey Neji want to dance!"
It was Neji turn to blush. He wasn't much of a dancer and it was mainly due to the fact Neji was shyer than he would let anyone know. He had always put on this confident face and distant himself from others.
"Sure, I guess..."
Naruto grabbed Neji's hand and headed towards the dance floor.
/
Sakura watched as Naruto and Neji dance and raised a brow. There was no way she was going to be out shined at her own party.
"Ino!" Saukra yelled.
"You don't have to yell I'm standing right next to you..." Ino said sipping her drink.
Sakura took Ino's cup and sat it down. "It's time to show those guys who's top shit around here."
Ino flipped her hair and followed Sakura onto the dance floor. It was true, her and Sakura were the best dancers she knew and there was no way they were going to be upstaged by Naruto.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Sasuke and Neji were sitting in a cafe together on their lunch break. It 's been a week since the party and things were a little different. Not only had Neji been spending more time with Naruto and less with him, Ino and Sakura somehow befriended him. It irritated him to no end. He liked it so much better when he was Neji's only friend. Yeah it was childish and selfish of him to want to keep Neji all to himself, but it hurt him a little when Neji would chose to hangout with someone else over him. That would have never happened in the past.
"Sasuke..."
"What...?"
Neji rolled his eyes. "I called your name like ten times. Are you ok?"
"Why wouldn't I be?"
Neji tilted his head a little and looked at Sasuke. "You're not yourself. You seem moody..."
Sasuke ran his hand through his hair. "I'm fine, really. You don't need to worry over me. You can just keep focusing on Naruto..."
Bingo. Neji now knew what was bothering Sasuke. Jealous Sasuke wasn't as cute as he was a week ago. This jealously thing was starting to get on Neji's nerves. Didn't Sasuke want him to be happy? "Sasuke this has to stop."
"What?"
Neji sighed. "This bickering between us. It's not like us and I don't like it at all. I'm tired of every time we get together you start an argument."
Sasuke stood and toss his money on the table. "We can just stop getting together if being with me is so hard for you."
Neji just sat there a second before he realized what was happening. He quickly grabbed his things and followed behind Sasuke. By the time he got down the road Sasuke was already gone. Neji cursed silently to himself. What was happening to them? They don't argue over petty things and they never walk out on the other. There's nothing in the world they couldn't talk about and get passed without getting angry with each other.
"Sasuke..."
. . . . . . . . . . . .
"No visitors and no calls, understood..."
Sasuke's secretary nodded quickly. "Of course sir, should I re-schedule your appointments for the day...?"
"Do whatever you want, just don't bother me," Sasuke said as he closed his office door.
Things were getting pretty bad between him and Neji and he knew it was mostly his fault. Sasuke covered his face with his hands. How could he be jealous of Naruto of all people?
*ring ring*
Sasuke stretched before answering the phone. "What is Itachi?"
"I got a message saying that our two meetings today have been moved to tomorrow and Tuesday. What's the problem?"
"Personal reasons.." Sasuke replied. He really didn't feel like explaining himself to Itachi.
"Well it's an inconvenience since my assistant and I are now double booked on Tuesday."
Sasuke frowned at the mention of his assistant. "Not that your assistant matters anyway. It's his job to make it work."
"You two have a fight?"
"We're not having this conversation," Sasuke said and hung up. Now work was going to be weird with Neji being Itachi's assistant and all.
"Might as well get some work done," Sasuke said softly as he began going through the documents on his desk. He did feel bad about walking away from Neji when he was trying to talk to him, but he didn't feel the need to explain himself to Neji. Sasuke heard his office door open. He didn't look up since he already knew who it was.
"What is it Karin?"
Sasuke did look up when he heard the door lock. "Can't you see I'm busy...?"
Neji sat quietly in front of Sasuke's desk. He watch the other man shift through papers with a frown on his face. 'Itachi was right, they needed to fix whatever was going on between them' Neji thought to himself. "I only have one question."
Sasuke didn't say anything, but he did look up so Neji took as an ok to continue. "What's so wrong with me seeing someone? Is it the fact that it's Naruto or do you feel like you're being replaced..-"
Sasuke held his hand up silencing Neji. "You're thinking too much into it, because it's not that serious. I could care less who you date and I'm not some child who needs your constant attention."
Neji frowned. Sasuke was being extremely rude. "I never said you were a child. I was just wondering why you changed..."
"I didn't, you did," Sasuke replied folding his arms. "Every since Naruto entered the picture you've been different, and I'm not sure I like it."
Neji was really confused now. How was he acting different? He was still with Sasuke most of the time and if anything he's been a little happier than normal. So did Sasuke not like him being happy? "So what you're saying is, you don't like it when I'm happy? I thought you of all people would be happy for me if I found someone special."
"Someone special? So now that you're with Naruto you have someone special in your life? I guess before him doesn't even matter..." Sasuke was angry and he knew it wasn't Neji's fault and he knew exactly what Neji was trying to say.
"You know I didn't mean it like that!" Neji yelled a little pointing at Sasuke. "Everything can't always revolve around you Sasuke."
"This is stupid, just go back to Itachi..."
"No." Neji stood up and hit his fist on the desk. "No Sasuke, why do you always do this."
"Do what?" Sasuke asked standing up too.
"If it isn't your way then you get mad, forget me as long as you're happy."
"That's bullshit and you know it!" Sasuke hissed. "I do everything I can to make you happy and what's the thanks I get? Huh? You drop me as soon as you find some loser that pays you a little attention."
Neji grabbed Sasuke by his collar causing him to lean over his desk. Neji brought his face close to Sasuke's. "Shut up you stupid brat! You've only ever cared about your own feelings and I'm done Sasuke. You hear me, done! You don't know anything..." Neji said the last part softly. Sasuke would never understand how he felt.
"You one to talk..." It was obvious to Sasuke that they weren't going to get anything accomplish since they were both blaming each other for everything. Sasuke knew all he had to do was admit that Neji's new relationship with Naruto bothered him. Neji hadn't changed, he did.
Neji let his hand fall and he leaned his forehead against Sasuke's shoulder. He inhaled and the smell of Sasuke flooded his sneses. Sasuke had no idea what he was feeling. "I love you Sasuke, but I can't keep doing this with you..."
Sasuke was confused. He wasn't sure what Neji was trying to say. Neji took Sasuke's face in his hands. "We need a break from each other..." Neji watched Sasuke's confused expression. He almost smiled, he did love Sasuke and that's why they needed to distant themselves from each other. "It's for the best."
Sasuke watched Neji walk towards the door. Did he just break-up with him? "What does all this mean?"
Neji stopped but didn't turn around. "You'll figure it." Neji quickly exited the room. He was sure Sasuke would eventually understand why they needed to stop hanging out.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Three weeks was a long time. A really long time without seeing someone you hardly ever went a day without talking to. Neji stirred his tea and he read over a menu he had memorized. He was out having lunch with Naruto, Ino, and Sakura. Sakura had called him out of no where and suggested they all meet up. It wasn't like he had anything planned so agreed and suggested the place.
"So how is their strawberry pie here?" Ino asked.
"Great actually. It's their best pie in my opinion," Neji answered.
"You know a lot about this place, do you come here often?" Sakura asked Neji.
"Yeah, I used to anyway." It was true. He and Sasuke found this place when they were in middle school. One afternoon on their walk home they decided to stop and kept coming back every since.
"This place has three different kinds of ramen. Do you know how hard it is to find good ramen in this town?" Naruto asked.
Neji couldn't stop the small smile the graced his lips. Naruto was a breath of fresh air.
"They also have a chocolate cake that's rather good too," Neji said deciding he would order it.
The waitress came to their outdoor table and took everyone's order. Neji noted that Sakura order something extra and he could only assume she would probably take it home with her to eat later. Neji also noticed she was checking her phone a lot. Maybe she expecting a call?
"I was thinking we catch a movie tonight."
Neji looked to his right and noted that Naruto was talking to him. "Sure, I'm free..."
Naruto beamed. "Great! I wasn't sure if you had work or anything."
"Well lucky for you I have today and tomorrow off," Neji said with a wink.
Neji noticed Sakura shift in her seat. There was something definitely going on with her. She seemed restless. "You ok?"
"Oh, yeah I'm fine," Sakura said sipping her lemonade. She then waved her hand. "Took that bastard long enough"
Neji turned to where Sakura was looking and saw the person he had successfully avoided for three weeks walking their way. It took everything in him not to leave the table before Sasuke came, but that would be a little dramatic. If he was honest with himself he did miss Sasuke and his new group of friends has been a good distraction for a while. It only made sense that they would run into each other eventually since the trio was originally Sasuke's friends from high school.
"Why are you late?" Ino asked as Sasuke took the empty seat between her and Neji.
"Work, you know the place I go everyday," Sasuke answered.
"Don't get smart bastard, you're the one who said you had nothing to do," Naruto added.
"All that matters is he's here now," Sakura said pushing Sasuke's drink towards him. "I ordered for you."
Sasuke shrugged, "Thanks."
There was an awkward silence at the table. It was odd for them not to talk and Neji knew something was up. He looked at everyone at the table. Normally he would enjoy silence, but right now it was bothering him.
"So..." Neji started. "I just remembered I have an appointment..."
"You leaving already?" Ino asked. "We just got here..."
Neji offered her an apologetic smile and he gathered his things. In reality he had nothing to do, he just needed to distant himself from Sasuke. "I completely forgot I had anything scheduled today."
"Hey wait," Naruto said standing up too. "We still on for the movies or..."
Neji smiled. "Of course. Walk me to my car?"
Naruto smiled. "Sure, I'll be back guys." Neji gave everyone a small wave as he and Naruto walked to his parked car.
"So, you're just going to let him leave?" Sakura asked.
Sasuke raised his brow. What the hell was Sakura talking about. "Mmm not sure I follow you..."
This time Ino breathed out hard. "Seriously Sasuke?"
"What?" He was truely confused. Did they know something he didn't? He was sure he never revealed anything private to either of them. And he was almost positive Neji wouldn't tell them anything.
"God! You like Neji right?" Sakura asked.
"Uh sure...We've been friends for a a long time..."
"You know what she meant Sasuke. I like Sakura, but I don't want to...you know...push her down..."
Sasuke frowned. "What the hell gave you two the idea that I like Neji romantically?" He really needed to know. If they knew, did Neji? Was that the reason he wanted to distant himself from him?
"I happen to be an expert in love," Sakura answered. "You have been harder than usual to deal with and I know it's because Naruto and Neji are hanging out."
"Yeah I mean if you like Neji you should just say so," Ino said folding her arms. "I for one, am tired of taking your jealous rage and attitude."
Sasuke didn't say anything. He was certain now if they knew about his feelings then so did Neji. It made sense in a way. Maybe that was the reason Neji wanted him to introduce him to Naruto so that he got the message. Not to mention their last meeting made a bit more sense.
Both ladies sighed when they noticed Sasuke's inner turmoil. "You really should just tell him. What's the worse that could happen?"
"Ino's right. If you wait too long than it'll be too late."
Sasuke laughed bitterly. "When did the two of you become so mature?"
They both laughed. "I will take that as a compliment coming from you."
"Well, we know what it's like to be in love you know? At least Ino does anyway. She's been with Kiba forever!"
"I'll talk to Neji, but I won't ruin whatever he and Naruto has. I've done enough damage."
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
The next morning Sasuke found himself standing at Neji's door. He wasn't really sure what he would say. He wasn't even sure if he should knock on the door or not. "To hell with it," Sasuke said as he rung the door bell.
He could hear movement behind the door, but he was met with a face he didn't expect. "What the hell are you doing here?"
Naruto folded his arms. "I was invited to stay the night you rude bastard."
Sasuke was beginning to regret coming. Naruto was shirtless so he could only imagine what happened between him and Neji the previous night.
"Hey Naruto who's at...the...door..." Neji stopped when he saw Sasuke standing there having what seem to be a glaring match with Naruto. "Sasuke...what are you doing here?"
Sasuke turned his attention to Neji. "I came to talk to you, but I can see you're busy..." Sasuke frowned.
"No, you can come in..."
"No thanks, I wouldn't want to intrude," Sasuke said handing Neji a small package. "I'm gonna go..."
Neji looked down at the small box in his hand. Was this an apology gift, he wondered. "Sasuke," Neji called out to him. "Please come in."
"Got somewhere to be," Sasuke replied without turning around. Now he really felt like an idiot thinking he could just show up at Neji's house and everything would be fine. He should have known there was a possibility that Naruto would stay over. It's not like they were kids, they were adults. And adults do grown up things.
"Come on Sasuke!"
This time it was Naruto who spoke up. Neji was surprised the blonde said anything, and why would he? "Naruto?"
Naruto looked at Neji and smiled. "Talk to him, and call me later..."
"Naruto are you sure?" Neji was confused.
"Yeah, I have to meet up with a friend anyways." Neji watched Naruto put his shirt on. He felt himself being pulled into hug by Naruto and quickly returned it. "Don't let him go..."
Neji eyes widen a little. What the hell's going on? He was sure Naruto was telling him to go to Sasuke. "Naruto, what's going on?"
Naruto shrugged his shoulders. There was no way he was telling Neji anything or Sakura would kill him. He really was interested in getting to know Neji in the beginning, but it was brought to his attention that their mutual friend already had dibs on him. "Nothing, just let me know how it goes."
Naruto walked towards Sasuke who was still standing on the walkway. "You better not screw this up either you bastard."
Sasuke was almost surprised at Naruto's statement until he remembered his conversation with Ino and Sakura. So it was obvious that Naruto was in on it too. "Hn."
/
Sasuke and Neji sat quietly beside each other on Neji's couch. It obvious that neither knew how to start the conversation. It was awkward for both of them.
"I guess I'll start," Neji spoke up. "I'm glad you came over today."
"Yeah me too..."
There was another moment of silence. "Sorry..." Sasuke said softly.
Neji couldn't help but smile. He knew that took a lot for Sasuke to apologize and he was grateful for it. "Thank you Sasuke."
"The real reason I came here, aside from apologizing...I wanted, no needed to tell you that I don't like you seeing Naruto."
Neji figured as much. "But I know things are going well and I will learn to respect that. It's just...hard."
Neji nodded. "I also need to let you know that my feelings for you are more than that of a friend."
Neji couldn't help but laugh...and he laughed hard too. It was unbelievable Sasuke telling him he liked him.
"What the hell is funny?"
Neji wiped a tear from his eye as he tried to calm himself. He noticed a very serious look on Sasuke's face. "Oh...you were serious?"
"Yeah, I don't make it a habit of just saying that to anyone..."
Neji sat sideways on the couch so that he could be closer to Sasuke. He ran his hand through Sasuke's hair slowly and smiled. "You got a hair cut..."
"Just for you.." Sasuke said softly playing the ends of Neji's hair. "Sit on my lap," Sasuke said touching Neji's hip.
Neji blushed a little. "Aren't we being forward Mr. Uchiha..." Neji moved so that he was seated comfortably on Sasuke's lap.
Sasuke rubbed his handsup Neji's thighs. "Don't tell me you're afraid now Hyuga."
Neji snorted in return and wrapped his arms around Sasuke's neck. "Not afraid...anxious.." Neji closed the distance between them and kissed Sasuke. He felt good to finally kiss him.
Sasuke pulled back to look at Neji's blushing face. "I love you Sasuke...I should have told you earlier."
Sasuke ran he hand gently through Neji hair. "I know...same goes for me."
"I guess now I have to ask your uncle for your hand..."Sasuke teased.
"Very funny..." responded dryly hitting Sasuke's chest.
"Well it's the proper thing to do..I should at least get his approval before making his nephew my bride..."
Neji laughed this time. "You're trying to kill the poor man."
"Why didn't we do this years ago?" Sasuke asked, not really needing an answer.
"Well we've got a lot of making up to," Neji said standing. He offered Sasuke his hand.
Sasuke took Neji hand. "That we do..."
A/N: Wow this one was loooong, but it turned out alright...right? At least I hope it did. I have really been having SasuNeji fever. There's no telling how many more I may post!
*Like always, please excuse any mistakes you come across. It's has become apparent that I am no good at proof reading.=]
Until next time & don't forget to shoot me a review with an idea or two for some more one-shots!
