She was always on the move. Well not her but her mom. If her mom got a new job they'd move. At first it was great now Gabriela was sick of it. She couldn't plan, she couldn't date she couldn't do anything. She wanted to be able to throw caution to the wind. But she never could but hopefully one day she'd find a place she could. It was just a question of when?

Always On The Move

Chapter 6

"Hey," smiled Troy, as he opened to the door to Gabriella.

"Hey," she said, her smile downcast.

"What's up?"

"Nothing," she answered. "Any plans?"

"The guys are coming over in an hour," said Troy.

She turned around and started to head down the path.

"Gabs where are you going?" asked Troy.

"Home," she answered.

He closed the door behind him as he went after her.

"We have an hour," he said.

"And then I could be hiding in your room or under your bed," she stated.

"So?" he asked.

"Something needs to change Troy," she started.

"I-"

"No I'm not finished," she said." "You don't stand by me at school, you make out with me in secret. You flirt with girls at school. I get pushed in your room or under your bed for hours to protect your reputation. I have been pushed, shoved, my things thrown on the floor. Vile names and slushies have been thrown in my face. You say you're doing something but even with your 'dads' punishments nothing happens. I refuse to be your secret. Something needs to change. So until it does I'm staying at home. I'm taking myself out of the equation," she said.

He watched with shock as she walked away from him and into his house. Then his phone beeped and shook him out of his stupor. His friends were already on his way. Nothing could be done now but maybe something did need to change.
