Chapter 3
"The Super Plumber"
YEARS LATER
One day when Jamie was 9 his class went on a field trip. The kids were all looking around. Jamie looked up hearing something.
'Daddy..." Jamie accidentally said mentally to Justin due to fear.
Justin looked up. The supers could pick up that Clark was fighting someone. Justin went to aide in uniform. Clark looked to be unconscious and the bad guy was using green kryptonite against Clark. There was an accident during the field trip when the smoke cleared Jamie was missing. He had actually been grabbed and taken to the headquarters of some aliens. Where Max Tennyson found him and rescued the boy taking him to one of his sons with his first wife. The boy had a blue kryptonite ring. Max looked at the ring closely.
"Dad?" A man asked.
"I don't think he remembers anything." Max said.
Carl nodded. Justin rode on an R-cycle in search of his cousin. Clark had been transported to a hospital. Connor went to Justin.
"Kon..." Justin started.
"What happened?" Connor asked.
Justin explained.
"Now, Carl, we can't let him take off that ring." Max said.
"Your parents came to join dad try and calm mom if you can. I'll look four him." Connor said.
Carl nodded.
"Connor... you won't find him...you're not as close as I am... the drives to strong." Justin said.
"I've gotta try and I just want you to explain to them first." Connor said with a sigh.
"I think it might be a form of kryptonite." Max told Carl.
Justin sighed with a slight growl and went to the others. Carl raised an eyebrow.
"I think this kind makes them like us humans." Max told Carl.
Connor flew off in search of his brother.
"Who?" Carl asked.
Justin wasted little time as he joined the others. He was in that quiet mood.
"The boy." Max said.
Carl nodded. Justin was worse then his father when it came to dwelling. Max sighed. Justin told what happened.
"where's Connor?" Lois asked.
Connor was looking for his brother. Max caught the boy when he passed out and put the boy to bed.
"I think he's 9." Max told Carl.
"Looking for Jamie." Justin said.
Carl nodded.
A YEAR LATER
The boy found something.
SOON AFTER 6 YERS PASSED
Robin was trying to dismantle an alien bomb when a small frog-like alien threw a rock at him to stop him from cutting one of the wires.
"Do you want to blow us up?" The creature asked.
"I've done this before." Robin said as he was using his x-ray vision to map the right wire to cut.
"This one is alien, multiple backups plus a biometric system." The creature said.
"Well luckily, I'm half alien." Robin said as secretly a side of him had long awakened and was at work.
"Kyrptonian is not one of the aliens that can dismantle it. Besides that panel is hiding kryptonite. My family's job is protecting against alien threats." The creature said showing his badge.
Without Jamie...Robin was becoming more like his father.
"Galvans are though. I'm a Galvan." The creature said.
'Why is he so stubborn?' Came a voice like Jamie's use to to Robin's mind.
"I ain't leaving... Besides... It's only half of what I am... Not that it's your concern." Robin said as he managed to get in and disarm every failsafe at a speed greater than Clark's.
Robin soon slunk back in to the shadows.
'I know you somehow.' Came a voice in Robin's mind.
The alien disappeared and went to a ship. His partner looked and pulled up files of boys that could match the caped hero.
"Justin...I know that kid." Ben said pointing at Justin.
"Justin Thomas Wayne...age 14... heir to the Wayne family holdings." Rook said.
"I think we're related." Ben said showing the blue kryptonite ring he still wore.
"Said to become quite and reclusive after his older cousin was taken as a child." Rook said, reading the bio.
"Jamie... I think Jamie is my real name." Ben said.
Rook nodded. Justin was riding off. He had grown thin and not the sort of thin his eldest brother would approve of.
'Clark...' Max thought.
Max contacted Connor to come to the ship. Connor arrived. Max showed him to Ben and Rook.
"Kon..." Ben started.
"Jamie..." Connor gasped out.
Ben nodded slowly.
"Now if I could just get that little bird to roost." Connor muttered.
"Me being back may help." Ben said.
"Not may, Will... he hardly eats or sleeps... he either trains or works." Connor said.
"Grandpa..." Ben started since Max and Carl wouldn't let him remove the ring before.
"It suppresses Kyrptonian powers." Connor said.
"I know...the last seven years Grandpa Max and d-his son Carl wouldn't let me take it off." Ben said.
"He's a son of the last son of Krypton...and the only one who can save Robin from himself." Connor said.
Max pulled a lead box from a pocket.
"Clark gave this to me years ago." Max said.
"If Robin's not stopped... Not even the bats knows." Connor said with a nodded.
Max took the ring and put it in a lead box.
"Go." Max said.
Ben flew off. Ben flew to the batcave looking for Justin.
"Justin!" Ben called as he was tackled by two dogs.
"Fiona, Ace..." He started surprised.
Fiona licked Ben happily. Ace ran off and tugged on Justin's pant leg trying to get him to follow him.
"I'm sorry, girl. I lost my memory...it just came back today, Connor was called and told me I should come see Justin." Ben explained since he knew Fiona was smart enough to understand him.
A throat was cleared. Ben turned to see who else was in the room. It was Kara standing there by the batcomputer.
"Hi, Kara." Ben said.
Kara looked at him confused.
"It's me... Jamie." Ben said.
Kara was shocked and hugged Jamie. Jamie returned it.
"How's mom and dad?" Jamie asked.
Kara sighed sadly.
"Your mom is running the Daily Planet in your dad's stead." Kara said.
"And dad?" Jamie asked.
"Been in a coma since you were grabbed." Kara said.
'Justin... I'm in the batcave... Jamie Kent is in the batcave.' Jamie's thoughts traveled to Justin.
Fiona sat by Jamie. Ace was dragging Justin a little towards the batcave. Justin followed once he got over the shock. Jamie looked at Justin when he came in.
"Justin..." Jamie started.
"Jamie?" Justin asked.
Jamie nodded.
"Been dying my hair for years." Jamie said.
"I should contact the folks who've taken care of me and go see dad. But, I want to make sure you're OK first."
Ace whined at Justin's feet.
"What, boy? Keep telling you I'm fine." Justin said, similar to his father.
"You're exhausted and need to eat." Jamie said.
"Kon, You Snitch..." Justin grumbled.
"I didn't need Kon to tell me... I could tell by looking while I watched you disarm that bomb." Jamie said.
Justin glared as he skulked away to change and take refuge in the house. Jamie sighed and looked at Kara. Few knew how much Kara took her family's welfare to heart.
"Any suggestions?" Jamie asked.
Justin was grabbing a light snack, Knowing that There were few that would've caught him at anytime. Jamie wasn't sure if he should go after Justin or go see his dad. What Justin put together was healthier than what was typical for a 14 year old. A throat was cleared from somewhere behind Justin. Justin almost choked on the bite he had taken.
"Jeez Pop." He wheezed.
"Guess I should see dad...can't take her though." Jamie said gesturing towards Fiona.
Bruce smiled.
"Something happened?" Bruce asked.
"Jamie's in the cave." Justin said.
Bruce was the wide-eyed with surprise.
"Where in the name of..." Bruce started.
"Well... I crossed paths while disarming a bomb then He showed up at the cave." Justin said.
'My partner brought up files on kids that could be Robin...' Jamie started to explain in thought.
"Somehow he figured out through a partner... About Robin..." Justin started.
'My memory slowly started coming back while you were disarming the bomb...the pic of you in the file was familiar...' Jamie continued to explain in thought.
Justin wondered about checking of others who policed the galaxy.
'You gonna be OK? I still need to go see dad...' Jamie started in thought.
'Can't take Fiona and she's sticking to me like glue.'
A glow came from Jamie's wrist, he started to collapse and a green glow came from in front of Jamie.
"Oh no, not again." Justin grumbled as he raced back to the others, helping Fiona catch Jamie.
"Justin..." A form floating within the glow started to say something.
Bruce had chased after Justin.
"Oi vey." Said the lanky teen.
"Sorry... I believe I lost control of my fey magic for a moment." Was said by a transparent Green Lantern with a mask like Hal Jordon's that was floating in the green glow.
Just then Bruce ran into the batcave.
"Ya think? This'll draw Him, you know." Justin said.
'Who?' Lan asked in thought.
"Justin..." Bruce started to ask.
"I am Lan Jordon... One of Hal's sons...or at least I was." Lan said.
'Oberon, knucklehead!' Justin thought.
"Didn't you say I threw a fit when I was born?" He asked his dad.
"Yeah, but, figured it was normal for a newborn." Bruce said.
Jamie changed forms while unconscious to a red dragon with gold highlights. This transformation didn't affect Justin though.
"Jamie took that form when Justin was born and he sensed it." Lan said.
"I couldn't help bawling." Justin said, matter of factly.
"In this life I'm Clark's son. I have an idea that could wake dad, but, it might hurt the hearing of all the Supers." Lan said.
Justin grumbled, still avoiding his bed and completely filling his sTomach. A glow came from the doorway. Lan and Bruce went fey due the spell connected to the portal.
"The King is coming." Lan said as Oberon appeared in the doorway.
"Right on cue." Justin said.
"Justin..." Lan started staring at Bruce.
"I wonder..." The teen started, glancing at Oberon.
"Tatania's child I believe." Oberon said, waved a hand with that Bruce and Jamie were human again.
Justin looked to Oberon; silently asking if he minded she was asked. The portal was still in the doorway.
"Go it should take you to throne room." Oberon said.
Justin dashed through. Then Oberon waved his hand again, Lan disappeared and Jamie shot up shaking. Kara rushed to calm Jamie.
"Hello." Tatina said confused.
"Milady, may we speak privately?" Justin asked, ready should the sisters rush him.
Jamie was shaking in Kara's arms crying a little. Tatina led Justin to another room
"Does the name Bruce Wayne have Any meaning to you?" Justin asked.
Justin was in his "nightly business suit".
"My son." Tatiana said.
"Then That explains the transformation." Justin said.
"What transformation?" Tatiana asked.
"He went fey... And there's A Reason I Know." Justin said.
Tatiana nodded. Justin showed a copy of His birth certificate.
"You are my grandson?" Tatiana asked.
"Why else, ya think I'd seek ya out... If it wasn't for Him?" Justin said with a puckish grin.
"He believes me dead though." Tatiana said.
"Yeah, I know the s-story." Justin said while fighting a yawn.
Tatiana lead him to a bedroom.
"Haven't slept well since Jamie and I were separated as little kids." Justin said as he followed.
"Jamie? Oh my brother-in-law." Tatiana said.
"Yeah, Him." Justin said with a groan.
"He and I were reborn to men who as heroes are on Opposite sides of the spectrum..." He added.
"Yeah?" Tatiana asked.
"Superman And Batman." Justin said.
"Might have been more fitting if light was born to light and dark..." Tatiana started.
"Yeah... Well, Gotta live with the hand fate dealt... As my pals say." Justin said.
Justin still carried the Young Justice communicator that Nightwing had given from once he hit 13.

"Lay down." Tatiana said once in a bedroom.
Justin noticed that it was different yet strangely familiar as he laid upon the bed. Tatiana used magic to make Justin sleep. Justin drifted off to sleep. The communicator was on his belt and visible as was ever faithful Rockman.
"He'll sleep utill he gets the rest he needs." Tatiana said softly to Rockman.
"Just so you know... His teammates may come looking for us... he was becoming like his dad... Dark, ice-cold when he had to suit up... From what I heard... History had repeated..." Rockman said, nodding.
"Only being half a soul can have that affect." Tatiana said.
"So can losing loved ones..." Rockman reminded.
"And in Justin's case he lost his cousin and dark-half of his soul." Tatiana said.
"Becoming That missing half... I know, impossible." Rockman said as Justin snored lightly.
"Perhaps the powers that be had them reborn this way to help with maintenance of the balance." Tatiana said.
"Maybe..." Rockman said.
"I should go fill in folks on the time difference...as for your friends they won't find us...can't get here without the spell to bring you to our gates." Tatiana said.
"You don't know "the sidekicks" aka Young Justice." Rockman said with a nod.
"Its impossible without the spell." Tatiana said about to go through a portal.
Rockman sighed with a chuckle, knowing that doubters learned sooner Or later... They Always did. Tatiana went through a portal appear by Bruce as Martha Wayne. Oberon said nothing when he saw since his queen already bore and raised a halfing daughter.
"Your other brother sleeps in a room in the palace under a spell for now, my king." Martha told Oberon with a slight bow.
"Bruce..."
Oberon nodded as he watched. To say that Bruce was stunned was an understatement.
"Justin will sleep at least a month or more out here." Martha said.
Fiona nuzzled Jamie who was calmed quickly by her.
"I think a month is to low I think closer to four months, Tatiana." Jamie said standing petting Fiona.
Oberon looked to Bruce since the man was a master of inventing cover stories for the press.
"I'll think of something." Bruce said.
"I'm gonna try and wake dad. Mind staying here a little while, Fiona? I'll come get you later...might be morning though." Jamie asked in saying looking at Fiona.
Fiona barked affirmatively.
"Be good." Jamie said lifting off.
Fiona watched him go. All the while as Justin peacefully slept, Rockman manned comms upon Young Justice and League frequencies.
Young Justice started trying to contact Robin. Jamie went to Clark's hospital room where Lois sat by Clark's bedside.
"Mom?" Jamie asked walking towards the bed.
"Guys, calm down." Rockman said as he appeared upon the bioship's screen.
Lois gasped when she saw "her baby".
Jamie looked to see if he could go alien. His hand went to what looked like a watch and turned into echo echo.
"Where are you?" One asked meaning where Robin was.
Jamie used the supersonics of echo echo to wake his dad and Clark's eyes snapped open. Jamie went human and looked at Lois. Justin shot up, in pain due to Jamie.
'You better Stay Out Of Gotham!' Justin thought to his cousin.
Justin contacted the team while fighting a yawn.
'Sorry, but, it woke dad too.' Jamie replied in thought.
"Where are you, Robin?" was asked.
Jamie watched as Lois pressed the nurse-call button.
"Somewhere, Most think legend... Why, need me back at HQ?" Justin asked.
A nurse rushed in.
"He's awake." Lois said.
"You're communicator disappeared from sensors..." One started.
Justin wandered back to a certain two.
"Did Rocky give you the heads up on my comrades?" Justin asked.
"I spoke to Katherine and she said Tom is in NYC." Tatiana said.
"I could go look..." Justin offered.
"I doubt you could fly from Avalon." Oberon said.
"No one's tried though." Tatiana said.
Clark was deintubated by a doctor soon. Jamie knew part of Lois wanted to hug them both. Jamie put a hand on Clark's.
"You've been in a coma 7 years, dad." Jamie said.
"Is the sky over us under the same protections?" Justin asked.
"It is." Oberon said.
"I just got home..." Jamie started and looked at Lois.
"Well, leaves that idea out." Justin said.
"I could open a portal for you." Tatiana offered.
Lois suddenly embraced Jamie. Jamie was surprised.
"I was thinking that they may send the bioship for me since they lost my comm signal... If I know certain someone." Justin said.
"Only can come here by boat." Oberon said.
Justin checked the team's vehicular arsenal.
"Tom is still in NYC." Tatiana said.
"The journy would be needed for anyone who comes with Tom." Oberon said.
"I'm just trying Not to appear a freeloader." Justin said.
"You are family." Oberon said.
"Your kids Don't Know About Us." Justin reminded.
"Puck does." Oberon said.
"OK... Most don't." Justin said.
Justin doubted that he'd cross paths with his sibling-bats. He had a few.
"Plus a few of my teammates know certain arts." He added.
"Yes?" Tatina asked.
"We know a magician Or to." Justin said.
"Yeah?" Tatiana asked.
"The Zataras, The father's a leaguer with mom and dad plus an old friend... The daughter works with me... And Before you ask, She seems to like the first of us to appear at Batman's side." Justin said.
Justin recalled of Oberon's call to "the gathering" and wondered how strong it was. Oberon smiled.
"Of course... He won't admit it!" Just said.
Tatiana giggled. Justin showed a photo of himself with those that his father had taken in and treated like his own if were Not by blood. Tatiana smiled. Justin's belt had a spot for a special deck of cards that he was given as a little boy by one of the few trusted by his father. Yugi had given Jamie a deck he preserved upon Lan's death. Tatiana smiled. Clark was back at the daily planet and patrolling metropolis. Jamie was at a school on an island. The deck that Justin owned was another such deck. Jamie had a couple friends at school. Justin was being showed what was going on with his family while on Avalon.
Justin was known as "the dueling knight" in Gotham. Jamie was writing a column on life in the duel academy for the daily planet on a laptop.
"I could send you home by portal." Tatiana said.
"Well, I gotta show my mug around Gotham sometime sooner Or later to keep the media vultures at bay." Justin said as he stretched.
'Justin..." Jamie started mentally.
Jamie was alone in the woods near his dorm writing that Saturday.
'What'cha need Kent?' Justin replied.
It was kinda of bit started by their dads.
'Just wondering how you were.' Jamie replied.
'And wondering when you'd be back.'
Tatiana stood to open a portal and waited until Justin was ready.
'Leaving now...' Justin replied as he went through the portal.
Tatiana closed the portal.
'I'm writing in the woods by my dorm.' Jamie informed.
Jamie wore a jacket of mostly white with some blue. Justin came out on the other side. He looked to see which area that he was now in. He was in the batcave. Jamie sent the column into his dad digitally. Justin sighed, using his super hearing to discern if the house was empty or not. Bruce was just returning from a visit to Wayne Tech Enterprises. Clark smiled looking at Lois. Justin wondered up after putting on his civvies. Lois smiled back.
"He's our boy for sure." Clark said.
Bruce smiled at his son as Ace tackled Justin. Fiona had been allowed to stay with Jamie. Lois nodded.
"Oof, Ace!" Justin cried.
Few knew of his prowess in dueling but he held back.
"Maybe you should join Jamie in the Duel Academy next time." Bruce suggested.
Jamie snickered as he joined his friends with Fiona at his side.
"Like the those stiff shirts approve... And since when do you know that I have a deck?" Justin asked, meaning the shareholders.
"This is up to us as long as I'm around... And I was next to you when Alfred gave you the deck." Bruce reminded.
"Hi, guys." Jamie greeted them.
The group smiled. Justin sighed, checking for the next round of enrollment duels.
'Justin...' Jamie started as Fiona sniffed at Chumly's pocket.
'What?' Justin asked.
'They're tomorrow. ' Jamie informed.
Fiona started tearing at the pocket.
'Know the site for gothamites?' Justin asked.
'I don't...I could ask.' Jamie said as a grilled cheese flew from the pocket.
Chumley tried to save his food. Justin had Rockman check. Jamie accidentally used his super-speed to help Chumly. It was the first time he had used his powers in front of them. The place was actually at Wayne Tech Enterprises. The kids gapped.
"Dad, I'll need to go to the office tomorrow." Justin said.
"I am Superboy." Jamie said.
"I know." Bruce said.
"How come I get the feeling that you're enjoying this?" Justin asked.
Bruce smiled.
"Jamie has Fiona so..." Bruce started.
"But, can we keep this a secret?" Jamie asked his friends.
"Meaning If I get in... You guys'll have peace and quiet." Justin finished.
The group nodded.
"Well I am Batman..." Bruce started.
"Good." Jamie said.
Justin doubted the league nor the team would watch people playing a card game. He didn't know if he had fans.
"Fiona isn't what she seems either." Jamie said offering Chumly his sandwich which Jamie had caught.
Chumley tore it in half after taking.
"Sit?" He asked Fiona.
Fiona barked and sat. Chumley tore then tossed a piece. Fiona caught it.
"Rollover." Chumley said then tossed.
Fiona rolled over and ate it.
"What other tricks can she do?" Chumley asked.
"Well...ever hear the stories about New York..." Jamie started.
Raised eyebrows emerged.
"Those that protect NYC at night." Jamie said.
Again jaws fell opened. Justin began calculating and coming up with game plans.
"Her dad is among them." Jamie said.
The family gave Justin space to prepare. Ace stayed next to Justin.
Nods happened. Justin poured the same attention into his dueling that he did in his schoolwork. Jamie smiled.
"The collar makes her look like a dog." Jamie said.
Ace whined slightly. Justin looked over.
"Need out boy?" He asked.
Ace barked. Justin had just finished so he put his deck into his duel disc. Ace got up and followed Justin. Fiona jumped on Jamie licked him happily and Jamie smiled.
"I'll show you guys tonight. OK, Fiona, guys?" Jamie asked his friends and pet.
Justin went to meet with his dad. It was understood.
"Justin..." Bruce started to ask.
Ace whined bringing a bag that held all the stuff needed for a walk. Which Kara had packed while Justin was preparing for the entrance exam and duel for Duel Academy.
"Looks like I'll have company for this... Just no attacking my opponents, OK?" Justin said to Ace as he slung the bag over a shoulder.
'The written exam and entrance duel is tomorrow, Justin.' Jamie mentally told Justin.
'Can't help it... I take after a certain someone...' Justin replied as he took Ace out for a walk.
'I know.' Jamie replied.
Justin sighed.
"Darks." He muttered.
Jamie started laughing suddenly. Bruce started making arrangements and plans to cover for Robin's disappearance from Gotham during the school year having a strong feeling that Justin would get into Duel Academy. Kara sighed worried about her son. Bruce smiled a rare smile.
"He'll have Jamie and Ace with him. Don't worry he'll be fine." Bruce said gently as he hugged his wife.
The others looked at him.
"I know... Can't help myself." Kara said.
"It's a hikari thing." Jamie said calming down.
"Jamie would never let anything happen to Justin if he could help it." Bruce reminded her.
"He is Clark's son. Jamie would die before he let anything happen to Justin. We've seen that." He added.
Neither Bruce or Kara knew about the hikari/yami thing. Nor did they know what would happen to Justin if Jamie died. Yugi was thinking of informing the pair of this and explaining how strong the bond between a hikari and yami was and what would happen to the surviving one if one died. He would explain then that Jamie and Justin were a hikari and a yami. He would explain all this to Bruce, Kara, and Lois. Since Clark seemed to know some of this. Yugi wondered if Clark knew the extent of the bond between Jamie and Justin. There were raised eyebrows.
"Bigmouth." Justin muttered.
Kara nodded. The intercom from outside the gate of Wayne Manner buzzed. Yugi was at the gate buzzing though in hindsight it might have been easier to comm Bruce on the Justice League Channel. Since Yugi was officially part of the league now and so was Yami.
"Well a Yami thing but..." Jamie started to explain to his friends.
Justin answered it then opened the gate. All listened. Jamie explain everything to his friends about his bond with his second cousin. Yugi entered, asking to speak with Bruce and Kara. Mouths gapped. Justin met up with him first.
"Can I talk to your parents?" Yugi asked.
"What Are You Up to?" Justin retorted.
"It's time they were told the truth of the bond between you and Jamie... Clark seems to know a lot about it... but..." Yugi started in thought.
"Do we have to?" Justin asked.
Yugi nodded.
"Suppose I should tell you... Dad's half-fey, which means..." Justin started.
Yugi nodded. There was something unknown about Yugi. That fact was he was Oberon's father in a past-life.
SOON THE SUNSET
Jamie and his friends were in there dorm room and Jamie went to Fiona and knelt next to her. Fiona looked at her master. Jamie smiled and pet her before he removed her collar and she reverted to her natural appearance. Jamie looked at his friends.
"Can you show me to them, Justin?" Yugi asked.
Justin did so as jaws fell open. Jamie smiled.
"Justin..." Bruce started to ask.
"Says he needs to tell you and mom something..." Justin said.
"Yeah?" Bruce asked.
Justin looked to Yugi.
"There is something and the Kents should know." Yugi said.
"Yeah?" Bruce asked.
"It's about the bond between Justin and Jamie." Yugi said.
"There's quite a bit to it." Justin said.
"Like what?" Bruce asked.
"Do I Really have to tell him? Think he's still adjusting about a certain someone." Justin asked Yugi.
"How much do you know my bond with Arsenal?" Yugi asked.
"We know you two are twins but beyond that not much." Kara said.
"Well not twins in this life. Yami was a spirit from a Millennium Item that gained his own body because of the Horus Shadow Puzzle." Yugi said.
Justin counted down to reaction. Bruce looked shocked as a glow came from Yugi chest and the Horus Shadow Puzzle appeared. Justin sighed as he moved a distance.
"You see. Yami is what we call a yami or darkness...and I am a hikari or light. If one of us dies we both will..." Yugi started.
"You know how Hal Jordan lost two of his sons before Jamie and I came along?" Justin put in.
Bruce nodded.
"I know you've heard of reincarnation." Justin said.
Bruce nodded. Justin knew that "the detective" was probably at work.
"What..." Bruce started.
"Justin and Jamie are reincarnations of my cousins. Justin my counter part and Jamie light." Yugi said.
Justin sighed.
'Lucky me the current upcoming round per registration duels are at work.' Justin thought, knowing Yugi probably heard him.
Yugi looked at Justin.
'Registration duels?' Yugi thought.
'Dad knows that I have a deck and dueled since I was a kid, feels I oughta go to Duel Academy.' Justin replied.
'Isn't Jamie going there?' Yugi thought.
Justin nodded. Yugi sighed. Justin watched his former cousin.
"Justin and Jamie were your cousins huh?" Bruce asked.
"Yes, sir." Yugi said.
Justin knew that At least Yugi watched his appearances to televised competitions. He didn't know who else within the league did. He was aware of Young Justice's support.
'Yami watches so, did Superman when not on a rescue.' Yugi thought.
'I wondered...' Justin thought with a snicker.
'I mean before the coma he watched.' Yugi thought.
Justin understood. Jamie stood frozen on the island sensing something. Fiona whinnied and licked his hand and trying to snap him out of it.
'Justin...' Started in thought.
Truth was as a teenage boy, Justin Thomas Wayne didn't act like everybody else with flirting, dating and being around girls despite being called a Jr. playboy. Oberon went to Xanatose enterprises while Justin slept then went to Wayne Manor. Lenore was gone now from Wayne Manor. Maylu was missing now as well.
"Lenore is missing." Bruce informed Justin when he returned from Ace's walk.
Justin looked at Yugi with a " You Don't think-?" look. Yugi nodded.
"Think A certain someone's up to their Old tricks!" Justin said to his dad.
"Who?" Bruce asked.
"Oh, just Someone that Grandma knows..." Justin said, tempted to spell-call as Alex Xanathos called it.
'Um...Kat and Alex are married and expecting multiples.' Yugi thought.
'Justin...' Jamie thought sounding very off.
'What'cha need Kent?' Justin thought, looking worried. "Something up with Jamie." He mouthed.
'Ring...' Jamie tried to tell.
"A ring... A lantern's ring?" Justin muttered.
'Bad ring...' Jamie started.
Justin knew who he could ask for aid... Asking Rockman to patch him through to someone that he was once quite close to.
"What'cha need?" Came a familiar voice.
Justin explained.
"I'll go over to Duel Academy." Was said.
Justin said that he'd be there as soon as possible.
'Justin... thought?' Yugi thought.
"Justin..." Bruce started.
Justin explained.
"Go." Bruce said.
Justin went to aid... When he arrived Green Lantern Jera Hikari was fighting Jamie. Fiona was laying next to Jaden whining. Justin used his superpowers and shadow magic. A violet glow joined with blue and green. Justin saw. A star sapphire was between Justin and Jera. Justin looked at her. She looked like Maylu as a teen. Justin wondered. Soon a red lantern ring was removed from Jamie who started to collapse. Fiona moved to run to him. Justin sighed. Jaden was holding Fiona back surprisingly easily. Justin was amazed.
"Dad, told me once Jamie's fraternal twin went missing when Jamie was grabbed as a baby." Jera said.
"Oh no, Not this Again!" Justin grumbled.
"Maybe that is Jamie's twin." Jera suggested.
Justin nodded. Jamie started to come to. It was noticed. Jaden released Fiona and Fiona ran to Jamie licking him.
"Surprised you could hold on to her." Someone said to Jaden.
"That was easy." Jaden replied.
"What happened?" Jamie asked Justin and Jera.
"You tell us." Justin said.
"I sensed a ring then I don't really remember anything that happened before now." Jamie said.
Jamie seemed to enter a trance.
'Good ring.' Jamie thought.
Justin sighed, knowing what he meant.
"In Fearful Day In Raging Night... With Strong Hearts Full Our Soul Ignite... When All Seems Lost In The War Of Light... Look To The Stars... For Hope Burns Bright." Jamie said.
There was a bright blue light that surrounded Jamie. When the light faded Jamie's uniform seemed to be replaced by a blue lantern uniform with a dark blue mask like Hal Jordon once wore. There were grins. The star sapphire hugged Jamie who returned it in confused.
"Can't a wife hug her husband?" The star sapphire asked so softly that only those nearby with super hearing would pick it up.
"Maylu? But, how..." Jamie started.
"Oberon. And it's May Motou now." She said in reply.
Elsewhere, A hikari began snickering. Jamie smiled and kissed May as the lantern uniforms were replaced by what they wore wearing before going lanterns. Any onlookers had their backs turned. Jamie smiled. It was typical teen melodrama. Jaden looked confused. Of course only few knew the truth.
"Should I go and tell Clark?" Jera asked Justin.
Justin nodded. Jera flew to Metropolis and went to the Daily Planet in is civvies.
"Mr. Kent..." Jera started walking to Clark's office.
"You're one of Hal's boys..." Clark said when he saw him.
Jera nodded.
"There is something you should know..." Jera said.
Clark listened.
"We may have found Jamie's twin." Jera said.
Clark grew quiet.
"He's in Duel Academy with Jamie." Jera informed.
Clark wondered.
"Justin duels, has for years... Known as "The Knight Of Duels" in Gotham... Wonder who started that." He said.
"No idea. " Jera said.
Clark smirked. Jera looked a bit tired.
"Go home." Clark said.
"I'm fine just had to fight a Red Lantern with a Green Lantern and a Star Sapphire." Jera said.
Clark sighed
"Jamie is a Blue Lantern now." Jera said.
Clark chuckled.
"Had to fight him though." Jera said.
It was understood.
"Jamie was the Red Lantern." Jera said.
Clark sighed, wondering of a fledgling bird.
"Justin was a Green Lantern." Jera said.
"Who's..." Clark started to ask.
"Star Sapphire?" Jera asked.
Clark nodded.
"I believe she is my sister-in-law turned teen by Oberon." Jera said.
Clark wondered.
"Jamie missed her and she him." Came a voice.
Clark looked around.
"Oberon." Jera informed Clark.
"Met him when They were young." Clark said.
Oberon appeared next to Jera.
"Sir... Been awhile" Clark said.
"It has. But I have been looking out for Jamie." Oberon said.
Clark wondered of a certain little bird. Jamie smiled.
"Yugi or Yami?" Jamie asked.
It was explained. Jamie nodded. Fiona licked Jamie. All the while Justin was amped to duel.
TIME PASSED AND SOON THE SCHOOL WAS ON SUMMER BREAK
May went with Jamie to Metropolis before going home to New York.
"Dad..." Jamie started entering the family home with his key.
Jamie hadn't told his folks when they were getting to Metropolis. Clark saw them.
"This is May." Jamie said.
Clark smiled as Justin was on his way home, but with company.
"Queen's adopted granddaughter...Red Arrow is her adoptive dad." Jamie said.
"Hello May." Clark said.
Justin looked at his travel companion.
"Hello, Mr. Kent." May said.
Clark smiled. Justin smiled at his "schoolyard love". She smiled back. May hugged Jamie who gently wrapped his arms around her almost instantly when she did. Fiona sat next to the pair. Lois walked in to the living room about then.
"Clark..." Lois started.
"Friend of Jamie's." Clark said.
Justin had done well for his first year, despite constantly butting heads with another of his social class. Jamie had been tempted more than just a few times to use his shadow magic on a couple of people at Duel Academy since he started. Jamie had two human companions. One half human.
"I also brought Jaden... has blue kryptonite on him." Jamie said.
Jamie and Jaden's birthday day was in a few days. There was a gasp.
"This is May Motou, mom." Jamie said.
Lois smiled.
'I just realized something...' Jamie started in thought to Justin.
'What?' Justin replied.
'I know it's impossible but I could swear Alexis is Joey and Seto's daughter.' Jamie replied.
'You see the picture of her older bro Atticus?' Jamie retorted.
'No...why?' Jamie asked.
Justin had been helping with the net-police... So crimes in schools were par for course. Clark had a navi for Jamie he still hadn't given him. He had the black PET hidden. Only few knew like the Waynes.
"Our birthday is coming up." Jamie mentioned to Jaden.
Justin checked upon a project of his. It was ready now. Justin checked with the driver. The driver was on standby waiting for Justin to finish. Justin relayed of where he needed to go. The driver agreed suggesting he inform his dad on the way.
"Rocky, patch me into dad's signal..." Justin said.
"Yeah." Came in reply.
"It's Justin... I need to swing by one of the divisions on my way home." He said.
"Alright." Bruce said.
Justin looked towards his driver then his companion. They were all soon on their way.
"I could fly you on Air Kent to the Motou home in New York." Jamie offered to May. May agreed.
Jamie went to his supersuit. This one had been brought to him by Kara while on Duel academy. This one had a base of black instead of the blue Clark's had. Instead of the red Clark's suit had was green in Jamie's and instead of the yellow that was part of Superman's appearance there was silver in Jamie's.
"Justin's mom?" May asked.
"Yeah." Jamie said nodding.
Jamie's appearance also included a black mask. Few wondered. Jamie covered May with his cape to protect her from the friction of superspeed flight. May sighed. Soon Justin was leading to one of the labs. His companion followed. Yugi sensed Jamie's shadow magic and greeted the pair when they arrived. Justin looked for the scientist that he had commissioned. Justin found him quickly. The youth cleared his throat. The scientist looked at Justin.
"Excuse me... Its it ready?" Justin asked.
"it is." the scientist replied.
"I appreciate this..." Justin said.
"not a problem." The scientist replied.
Justin had started up in networking from a young age. Jamie smiled at Yugi.
"Hi, cousin." Jamie said.
Yugi smiled back.
"Dad, Mr Kent invited me to come to a birthday party in a few days..." May started to explain.
Few knew whose. Jamie smiled at this. Soon Justin and His guest were on their way to Wayne Manor. Ace seemed excited to be home when they got there. Jamie soon returned to the Kent apartment.
"Alright... alright..." Justin said as he opened the side that Ace was on to set him free.
Ace ran to get a bone he hid. Clark had sent an evite to Jamie's friends at Duel Academy as well as to the family.
"Dad, when did you..." Jamie started to ask when Clark had invited May.
Justin led his friend into the manor.
"Well, her family works with us as far as the league goes..." Clark said.
"Yeah..." Jamie started.
Justin's friend followed.
"It's fitting that she celebrates too." Clark said.
"I'm home..." Justin said as the pair entered.
"We were married once... With three kids." Jamie said.
"That was a lifetime ago."
Jamie started glowing and he started to collapse. A green glow came from above Jamie. Fiona looked up at the glow calmly. The pair sighed. A Green Lantern appeared above Jamie.
"Dad..." Jaden started to ask.
"I'll explained later... Lan..." Clark started.
The Green Lantern nodded. Clark waited to hear what drew the soul out this time.
"You see Maylu and I were destined to have more kids." Lan explained.
Clark nodded.
"Can you wait a few more years?" He asked.
"I doubt it will even be a year before May is..." Lan started.
"And I think Jamie has been thinking of breaking into my old lab and using a devise of mine."
Clark groaned, wondering of a certain light.
"A few more years for my light." Lan said.
"Two year difference." Clark reminded.
Lan was glancing around sensing something.
"True." Lan said.
Fiona growled at a nearby window since it was night in Metropolis now. Clark listened. Breathing was heard in the darkness before Fiona bared her teeth and started barking angrily and in warning. Jamie's body turned dragon due to a sensed danger.
'I think Demona is here.' Jamie thought to Justin.
'Need help?' Justin asked.
'Maybe I'm in a spirit form right now.' Jamie replied.
"Fiona, protect mom. " Lan ordered.
Fiona barked and ran to guard Lois. Justin looked at his friend, some would say "girlfriend".
"Justin?" She asked.
Justin explained.
"Go." She said.
Jamie returned to his body and flew out the window knocking Demona off her feet and growing to the size of an adolescent red dragon with gold accents. Jamie started to power up a fireball but this one was made up of pure magic. A teen lantern appeared to back up. When Jamie let loose the ball Demona started to shrink. The lantern encased her as a precaution. When it was done the sound of a infant crying was heard from within the encasing. Jamie went human and started to collapse from the air. The young lantern dissolved the light, holding the hatchling.
"There, there... we're not gonna hurt you..." He said with a coo as he went and caught Jamie.
Justin took the pair to some trusted friends in NYC. Jamie was just exhausted from the magic.
"Dad.. " Jaden started to ask again.
"Where did you find..." One started to ask.
"You mean that She doesn't look familiar?" Justin retorted.
Clark explained.
"Should she?" One asked.
But another gasped in shock.
"That's not possible..." Hudson started sounding shocked.
"The Green Lantern was Jamie? But, how did..." Jaden started to ask how Jamie turned into a dragon.
"Blame the "boy scout" here." Justin told the elder.
Clark told the tale.
"Jamie..." One started surprised.
Jaden sighed.
"Don't know his motives, she was skulking about the Supers territory." Justin said.
"Perhaps he just wanted to give her a fresh start free of that anger and hate she bore so long." Jera suggested walking over.
Jaden yawned. Justin nodded.
"What about him, we're home on break and birthday." Justin said.
"I'm sure he'll be awake soon. His birthday is in a few days." Owen said joining them.
"Just let him rest for now." He said.
Justin nodded.
"He hasn't used his magic much in a long time." Owen reminded.
"I know... Maybe, just maybe... with these changing times..." Justin said while looking at the "little girl" in his arms.
Angela took her in her arms. Justin smiled at the sight, couldn't help himself in finding it cute. Jamie was replaced by a micro dragon sleeping in Justin's arms.
"Well, I gotta make a pitstop in metropolis before going back to Gotham... unless you guys want me to explain to Elisa and Matt." Justin said.
"I will." Goliath offered.
Clark was cooking that day. Justin nodded and soon headed back to his cousins' with Jamie in his arms. They landed outside of the Kents' but within range of superhearing. Jaden went to check.
"Justin..." Jaden started to ask.
"Hey... Want to help me get him to bed then I'll explain?" Justin asked.
Jaden helped get his brother to bed and looked at Justin. Justin gave the details of what happened. Jaden sighed.
"Dad's cooking dinner." Jaden stated.
Justin decided to try and take his leave. Fiona came in whining a little and nosed Justin's hand.
"Aw, girl... I gotta go home." Justin said while petting.
Fiona was worried for her master. Justin sighed.
"He's just tired." Jaden reassured.
Fiona looked at Jaden then Jamie than she jumped in the bed with Jamie and curled around him in a protective manner. Jaden smiled when he saw that and looked at Justin.
"She and her litter-mates share my birth date... Ever see her Without her collar?" Justin said.
Jaden nodded.
"The Night before Jamie became a lantern." Jaden said.
"So, you know What she actually is, have an issue with that?" Justin asked.
"No just kinda wish I had one." Jaden said.
Something metal in Jamie's room flew into a wall. Justin raced back. Fiona looked at Justin at the loud noise made by the metal object. Justin had removed his k-jewelry to check on Jamie. Jamie was still asleep the omitrex was now no longer suppressing some powers that started developing at age 12. Lois had made sure to invite Kevin, Gwen, Carl, his wife, and Max to the birthday party for Jamie and Jaden. Justin sighed.
"Justin?" Came a question from the kitchen.
'Aw, darn it!' Justin thought.
"Justin..." Jaden started to ask if Justin needed help.
Justin nodded. Jaden went to help his second cousin. Justin didn't mind. Lois came in about then carrying what looked like a fancy collar.
"Justin..." Lois started.
Justin looked at her.
"This should help." Lois said.
Justin nodded.
"Need me to make any calls Or arrangements? I can." He said.
"The problem is there's only two people who can help him learn to control it." Lois said.
There was One group, so with help from Rockman Justin made a videocall. The reply came quickly.
"It's Justin... Looks like my cousin's coming in..." He said.
"I could send a team right away." Was said.
Justin agreed. A team was sent to Metropolis. Justin met the group.
Clark was about ready to get dinner out of the oven. Lois went to fill in Clark. Justin was greeted by the team. Justin explained what had happened.
"What was she doing with a suppression collar?" One wondered.
"Clark..." Lois started.
"I can guess... Only my old man would be resourceful enough to have one of those laying around." Justin said.
"Or my sister." Came a voice.
"Have you ever heard of Magneto?" Lois asked.
Clark nodded.
"Magneto is my birth-father." Lois said.
