Galinda sighed. "Why does this have to be so complicated?"
"Because… it just does… you can't just one day jump and say, 'I want to be smart, world! Hit me!' It doesn't work like that."
"Well, why not? Life would be a whole lot easier if we could just do that."
Elphaba laughed. "For once you're right."
"Are you trying to say I've never been right?" Galinda huffed loudly. "I must have been right sometime…"
"I highly doubt that…"
"Oh, really?"
"Really."
"Oh, really?"
"Yes."
"I must have at one point in time!"
Elphaba shook her head. "No, I don't think so."
Galinda gave up. "I suppose you're right." Galinda sighed, and went back to work. She broke her pencil in anger a minute later.
