The Giver Extension/ LOST ch. 00

Jonas looked around to see where the music he heard was coming from. He could see a faint light coming from far away. The light was flashing, Jonas couldn't figure out what it was, but he was unsure if he should go see what it was.
"Gabe, I see a light ahead, and I hear music. Should we go to it?" Jonas asked Gabe. He looked down at Gabe, only to see that he wasn't breathing well. "Gabe?" Jonas tried to wake up Gabe, but he was in a deep sleep. "GABE?!?" Jonas was now in panic. He started running to the flashing light, in hope that someone, if anyone there could help Gabe.
As Jonas ran to the light, he slowed down seeing that the light was coming from a rather large building it had an odd shaped object on the top of a pointed part of the roof. When he was close enough he was a girl standing outside of the unusual building. He was curious about this girl, the look she had on her face was almost blank. He approacher her, "Hello, could you please help him?! I don't know what's happening to him!" He pleaded at the strange girl.
"We have been expecting you Jonas." She said no emotion in her voice. "You are the chosen one, we have been waiting for you for a long time, your destiny is to be our Giver."
"What? Wait how do you know my name? What about Gabriel?" Jonas asked, he was confused. He had no idea where he was or how they knew him. Where was he? Was he elsewhere?
"You might know me as Rosemary, my father the old Giver told you about me. He was my father, he is here as well. We are at what is called a church." She said, she still had to emotion to her.
"What? But weren't you released? How did you get here? But how did he get here? Is Gabe going to be okay?!" Jonas was confused by everything going on.
"Jonas, don't worry about Gabe. He'll be fine. Jonas it's alright you're in a place where nothing bad can happen, he's just adjusting to the surroundings.
"Giver! What are you doing here?! What is Rosemary doing here?" Jonas asked. He had so many questions.
"I am no longer the Giver, not here at least. But you see Jonas, this is the place where the people who are released go, they do go elsewhere, just in a place where there is no emotion, nothing, right now we are in a place where no one can find us, unless they are from our community and are released or lost. Jonas, everyone who has been lost or released from our community has comes here." The old Giver said without emotion as well.
"But then who is the new Giver? But if only people who are lost, and released are here, that means... Gabe and I were lost, and what about you? What happened to you? What happened to the community?" Jonas was panicking, he had no idea what was happening, nothing seemed the same, everything was different.
"Well Jonas, the day you left, after I heard the news that you had gone, I had what is called a stroke. I ended up here where I was reunited with Rosemary. As for the community when I was lost, the rest of my memories were spread across the community, and everyone in the community was terrified at what they were seeing, a riot broke out." the old Giver put a hand on Jonas' shoulder. "You are the new Giver, and Gabe will be the new receiver, you will lead us in making a utopia here, since nothing went right back at the community."
"What?!" Jonas was overwhelmed by all of this. Then just as he began to pull himself together, he saw her. Fiona, she must have been lost, because now she was here. And everyone here seemed to be as though they weren't alive anymore, they were doll like and emotionless. Jonas couldn't take it so he ran, and ran, holding Gabe close the entire time, but no matter how far he ran, he didn't get any father or any closer than from where he was, then everything started to fade and before long he was lost in darkness, Gabe was gone. He didn't know it but he past what was called The Gate of Truth.
