Author's Note:
This is my first attempt at writing any form of fanfiction.
Sorry in advance if it seems rushed and/or forced and if the characters aren't portrayed very well.
Hopefully I'll get better as I keep writing.
Any and all criticism and advice is welcome.

It's a quiet night in Canterlot City, and everyone is calmly fast asleep. However, unknown to anyone, up in the night sky, a purple streak of light is flying all around. It appears to be a wisp of some sort. A magical wisp of Equestrian magic to be exact. The wisp keeps frantically flying around until it finally starts to fly down towards the ground. It suddenly stops its descent and flies straight through the wall of a small house. The wisp is now inside a room that belongs to a small girl. It starts to fly around as if it was observing the room, or even as if it was searching for something. It continues to do so until arriving above the little girl that lives in this room. The girl is fast asleep and is snuggling with a stuffed pony plushy she sleeps with every night. The wisp begins to circle above the sleeping girl before finally flying down and entering the pony plushy. The plushy then slowly rises out of the girl's arms, not waking her up, and it begins to glow a in a magical purple light.
At that moment, the window of the girl's room opens and through it a swift silhouette of a person flies in and lands at the foot of the girl's bed. The person stands straight up, and her appearance comes into view. She appears to be the size of an average teenage girl. She's dressed in a black high-tech cat suit with red fluorescent-like glowing strips illuminating it. She is also wearing a silver belt with two strange devices attached to each side of her waist and black full-face mask over her head with huge white eye-like lenses outlined in more red glowing strips of light. The mysterious girl looks up at the floating plushy and smirks under her mask.
"Heh, found you," the girl says with confidence.
She then hears a faint sound that begins to get louder. It was the sound of a girl screaming and she knew exactly what that meant. She turns towards the window she had previously entered through and saw someone else enter in through the it. It was another girl jumping in doing a flying kick while screaming at the top of her lungs. She flew in like a missile and kept going until she crashes into door at the other side of the room. The first girl pinches the bridge of her nose before looking at the second one who was now leaning against the door upside-down. The second girl is wearing a suit that almost identical to the first ones, only she has blue glowing strips of light on her suit instead of red ones. She eventually makes her way over to the red one, still dizzy from the crash.
"Hey, keep it down," the girl in red whispers to her partner in an enraged voice. "You could wake the kid up."
They both then turn their attention towards the girl in bed, and oddly enough, she's still sleeping. The two girls then give a sigh of relief and redirect their attention to the floating pony plushy. "What do ya think is gonna happen this time?" The Blue one asks with a hint of concern in her voice.
"Prepare for anything," the red one says. "This one, it feels different than all the others we've dealt with."
"You might wanna soundproof the place," the girl in blue says. The girl in red starts to concentrate as a magical aura begins to glow all around her. She spreads her arms as far apart as she could and sends out a magical forcefield that covers every inch of the walls, floor, and ceiling. The field is soundproof, so no one outside the room can hear what was going on inside it.
"That should do it." The two girls then notice a shadow begin to loom over them. The look up and realize the pony plushy, has transformed into a live purple stallion twice their size, with bright red eyes and a mane and tail made of black flames.
The stallion walks up to the two girls and came so close that they could feel the heat radiating from the flames on his body. He huffs smoke from out of his nostrils before screaming as loud as he could, "Fear me!" The girls almost got knocked over by the sheer sound of his voice before regaining their balance.
"A talking pony," the blue one asks lacking any concern for the situation. "Now that's just weird."
The stallion charges at the two girls before him, leaving a trail of fire behind him. The girls however have no problem jumping out of the way and evading the assault. The blue one lands on top of a dresser that's aligned with Power Pony action figures. Hearing the sound of plastic cracking, she realizes what she landed on and pulls from under her foot a Masked Matter-Horn figure that was now missing an arm and a leg. She jumps from off the dresser and notice that there was a complete set of Power Pony action figures knocked over and/or broken.
"Huh!" She gasps with excitement. "I used to collect toys just like these." She leans in to get a closer look at the broken collection and is amazed at how many figures there are. "And this kid must have a compete set. She's earned my respect."
"Would you stay focused!" Says the girl in red, still running from the monster of a pony.
"Fear me!" The stallion yells once again.
When flames from off the stallion begin to fall on the bed of the little girl, the girl in red manifests a magical shield to protect the girl from the flames. As the stallion comes closer and closer to her, an action figure hits him straight in the eye. He turns in the direction of where the flying object came from and sees the blue girl tossing another figure up and down in her left hand before throwing it at him. The stallion whips around and uses his flaming tail to completely melt the stallion charges at the girl in blue completely enraged. The red girl looks at the girl in bed and is confused as to how the heck she could still be asleep.
"Fear me!" The monster pony says as he continues to charge.
"Yeah, you said that already," the girl in blue says growing tired of hearing the same sentence. Before the monster could make contact, she jumps straight up and out of the way.
Unable to stop, the stallion keeps running until he runs straight into the dresser. Smashing it to pieces and then hitting his head on the forcefield protected wall. While the stallion was still in a daze, The blue girl lands on his back and clenched on to the fur on his back, prompting him to rage and buck as wildly as he could. "Yee-hah! Alright, ride 'em cowgirl! Woo-hoo!" The blue girl exclaims with joy, as she holds on for dear life.
The stallion kept on bucking and bucking until it finally ran out of breath and was just exhausted. The blue girl jumps off the back of the stallion and ran over to her partner. "Okay," she says. "I'd say he's all tuckered out now.'
The girl in red detaches one of the devices on her waist and held it out to the stallion. The device seems to be nearly identical to the one Twighlight Sparkle once wore around her neck when she first came to Canterlot High. She opens up the device and it began to drain all the magic from stallion.
He tries to escape the hold the device has on him, but it was no use. He felt completely drained and starts to shrink back down his normal size. Soon the wisp of Equestrian magic is drained from him and is now trapped within the device in the red girl's hand. The stallion reverts back to its old cuddly plushy self and is completely harmless again.
"We totally rocked that huh," the blue girl says. She placed her elbow on her partner's shoulder only to have it immediately brushed off.
"With all that noise you were making," the red girl says. "It's a miracle the girl didn't wake up." She then closes the device now containing the wisp, and due the slightest sound that came from device as it snapped shut, the little girl's eyes shot open, and she jolted up from her bed.
The little girl slowly turns her head to look all around her room. Between the fire, busted up objects, and the two strange people standing in the middle of the room, she's at a complete loss for words. As was the girl in red, who couldn't believe that after everything that had happened, that woke her up.
"Great, you woke the kid," the blue girl says, teasing her partner.
"Just fix everything!" The red girl snaps at her partner.
The blue girl took a few steps forward and begins to glow in a magical aura. She releases a wave of magical energy that spreads through the entire room. Suddenly, everything began to repair itself. The fires were put out, the dresser was put back together, even the Power Pony action figures were now good as new and put back on the reassembled dresser where they belonged. In a matter of seconds, it was as if nothing had happened.
The red girl picks the pony plushy off the ground and hands it to the little girl, who is still at a loss for words. "I believe this belongs to you," she says. The little girl grabs the plush and just stares at the girl in front of her. "Sorry for bothering you," - The red girl raises her hand and the forcefield aligning the room vanishes - "but were about to head out now."
The two teenage girls walk over to the window they had previously entered through stepped outside. The blue girl sticks her head back inside and looks towards the little girl. "You saw nothing," she says in an attempted ominous voice and quickly exits the room once again. The little girl looks at her plushy and comes to the conclusion that she has to be dreaming and goes back to sleep. Back outside the house, the two teenage girls meet up. "Like I said, we rocked that."
"More importantly -" the red girl says. She grabs the device on the other side of her waist, that seemed to resemble a smartphone of some sort and begins to use it to analyze the wisp she had just captured. "- I think I've finally figured out where all the wisps of magic have been coming from."
"Really!" the blue girl exclaims with excitement. "Where?"
"At a place called" - She pulls up a holographic image of a high school on her phone-like device - "Canterlot High."
The next day came, and it was a beautiful morning. It was the beginning of a new school year and students are walking all over the schoolgrounds. Some are glad to be back at school, others were disappointed that summer vacation had ended. But one student in particular had made her way to the school. It was none other than Sunset Shimmer. Sunset was glad to return to CHS. This was a special place for her. Not only it was the first place she had ever been when she first left Equestria, but this was where she turned her life around for the better. And where she made her friendships with the best friends she could have ever asked for.
Sunset stares at the school for just a few more seconds and lets out a sigh as she prepares herself for the new school year. "Well, CHS old girl," she says. "A new year, a new beginning."
Before she officially took a step on campus, she suddenly hears a voice to her left. It was one of her best friends Rarity walking in her direction. "Sunset darling." She says.
Sunset runs up to her friend and hugs her. Rarity is a bit confused as to why she's being hugged so tight but decides to just roll with it. "It's great to see you again," Sunset says mid-hug.
"We just saw each other yesterday dear," Rarity reminds Sunset.
"Oh right," Sunset sheepishly as she finally releases Rarity.
Sunset then turns around and her face lit up as she sees Fluttershy walking towards them. "Fluttershy!" She says with joy.
"Sunset, Rarity," Fluttershy says in a delighted yet calm nature. "How are you two -" Sunset runs up to Fluttershy and embraces her in hug just like the one she gave Rarity. "- Oh, uh, it's good to see you too Sunset."
Rarity cocks her head and starts to wonder why Sunset is acting a little strange. From behind her, two pairs of footsteps could be heard rushing straight for her. Or for the school to be precise. She turns around a sees Rainbow Dash and Applejack running as fast as they could. They run straight pass Rarity and finally come to a stop. The two girls are utterly exhausted and desperately need to catch their breath.
After a few seconds of heavy breathing Rainbow Dash finally speaks. "I -" She takes another second to catch her breath. "I told you I could beat you here even without my geode."
Applejack finally finishes catching her breath and begins to speak. "What in tarnation are you talking about," she says. "I won that there race by a mile."
"No way," Rainbow Dash disagrees. "I totally got here first."
"Ya did not."
"Did to."
"Did not!"
"Did to!" Rainbow Dash turns her attention to Rarity. "Rarity, tell Applejack that I totally schooled her at getting to school."
"No," Applejack interjects. "Tell Rainbow Dash here that I was the clear winner." The two girls got in Rarity's face expecting an answer. Trying to think of a way out of this, Rarity notices Sunset is still hugging Fluttershy and thought of an idea.
"Ugh, hey Sunset darling," she says grabbing Sunset's attention. "It's our dear friends Rainbow Dash and Applejack."
Sunset finally releases Fluttershy and runs straight for her other two friends. "Rainbow Dash, Applejack," she says with excitement as she pulled the two of them in for a group hug.
"Uhm, ugh, it's great to see ya Sunset" Applejack says in confusion.
"What is -" Rainbow Dash asks before getting cut off by Rarity.
"Just let it happen girls," Rarity says letting the two confused girls know there's no use in fighting it. "Just let it happen."
Sunset frees the two from her grip and then turned her attention back to the school. "Isn't this just great girls," she says. "Us, back here. Together. Who else is excited?!" She looked at Rarity, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash, hoping that would agree with her. However, they gave a mix of confused and unsure looks. They liked school and all, but they weren't nearly as excited as Sunset was. She then looked to Fluttershy, who had a similar expression on her face. "Aren't you girls excited to be able to hang out here again?"
"Well, ugh, I suppose," Applejack says.
"I mean," Rainbow Dash says. "It's not like we didn't hang out together all summer."
"But it's just more special when we do it here," Sunset says. "Don't you agree Fluttershy?" The girls turned their attention to Fluttershy who was now put on the spot.
"Oh, uhm yes," Fluttershy says trying not to upset Sunset. "Woo-hoo school," Fluttershy says in a manner that is so quiet and plain, if Sunset didn't know better, she'd swear Fluttershy was mocking her.
The five girls made their way to the school entrance. They walked inside and were immediately met with a surprise as blast of confetti went off and covered them from head to toe. A banner is also displayed on the ceiling of the school saying Happy Back to School Day!
From out of seemingly nowhere, Pinkie Pie pops up from behind the other five girls. "Happy Back to School Day Girls!" She yells with plenty of spirit. The girls were startled at first, but then came to grips with what was happening.
"Happy Back to School Day?" Fluttershy says confused.
"Did you do this for all the returning students Pinkie Pie?" Applejack asks while trying to brush all the confetti off of her.
"Of course, silly," Pinkie says. "But just between us, I used extra confetti for you girls."
"Ah yes, well thank you so much for that," Rarity says a little aggravated as she brushes the confetti out of her hair.
"See," Sunset says nudging Rainbow Dash's arm with her elbow. "Pinkie's excited."
"Pinkie once threw me a party just to celebrate the day I lost my last baby tooth," Rainbow Dash says.
"Speaking of parties," Pinkie says before passing a greeting card to Rarity.
"Finally," Rarity says as she brushes the last of the confetti off of her. She looks ahead and notices the card Pinkie was handing her. "Oh, what's this Darling." She opens the greeting card and more confetti blasts from out of it, leaving her face covered once again.
Applejack looks over Rarity's shoulder to see what the card said inside. "You are here by invited to Pinkie Pie's super-duper fun after school back to school party," she says reading the card. "An after school back to school party?"
"Mm-hmm," Pinkie nodded. "A super-duper fun one too. Because this is a super-duper special Back to School Day."
"Why is that?" Fluttershy asks.
"Because today is the last Back to School Day the seven of us will ever have," Pinkie Pie says while rapping her arm around Fluttershy's shoulders. Sunset's eyes widened as a nervous expression began to form on her face.
"Oh yeah," Rainbow Dash says. "This is our last year at CHS."
"Golly, it sure is," Applejack says.
"Just one more year and will officially become high school graduates," Rarity says with much excitement.
"Here are the rest of your invites," Pinkie says as she began to pass out more greeting cards to the rest of the girls. "One for Fluttershy, one for Rainbow Dash, one for Applejack," - As Pinkie Pie was passing out invites, Sunset continued to look nervous and starts to nibble on the thumb nail - "one for Sunset."
Sunset shakes off her thoughts and then accepts Pinkie's invitation. "Ugh yeah, Thanks Pinkie," she said trying to hide how she was feeling.
"And one for..." Pinkie Pie starts, but immediately stops once she realizes there was no one left to give an invite to. "Hey where's Twilight?"
"She's not already here?" Rainbow Dash asks.
"Nope, I'd've given her her invitation if she was," Pinkie replies. She opens up Twilight's invitation, having confetti blast from out of it straight to her face.
"Where is Twilight," Sunset asks herself.
Later at Twilight Sparkle's house, Twilight had just gotten out of bed and was panicking over how late for school she was going to be. "No, no-no-no-no-no, no no no no no!" Twilight panics as she runs to her closet and starts throwing clothes from out of it all over her room. "Nonononono! I can't believe I overslept on my first day back to school!"
Her dog Spike begins to stretch in his bed and yawns. "Yeah, between studying up on everything you learned last year, working on your 'secret project', and staying up all night to do so, how could you possibly have slept in." He says sarcastically.
Twilight eventually got changed into everyday clothes and grabs her backpack and a large pile of binders, folders, and papers that she'd been working on the night before. "I'll see you later Spike," she says as she runs out the door.
Spike yawns and then turns over on his back. "See ya later Twilight," he says before immediately falling back asleep.
Twilight runs out of the house and makes a dash for CHS. She looks at her phone to see what time it was in order to see if she could still make it to school on time. "Okay Twilight, maybe you can still make it as long as you -" She look up from her phone and sees a teenage boy walking in front of her. "Wah! Look out!" She tried to stop herself, but in doing so, she tripped and started stumbling forward. The boy turns around and notices Twilight heading straight for him. Just before the two collided, the boy took a few steps back leaving Twilight to completely fall over right in front of him. Her papers went flying all over and to make matters worse, she had also lost her glasses. She began to feel around for them but to no avail.
"You're kinda clumsy, aren't you?" The boy asks as he picks up Twilight's glasses and hands them to her.
Twilight puts her glasses back on and sees the person that had just handed them to her. It was a boy she had never seen before. His skin was a light silverish color, and he had short, straight black hair with bangs that dip between his eyes. The most notable piece of clothing he was wearing was his blue and white jacket that he left unzipped. The jacket was clearly too big for him. The bottom of the jacket came down to his knees and he had the sleeves rolled up, so they only didn't go past his wrists.
"Oh, uhm thank you," Twilight says feeling a little embarrassed. She looks around on the ground and scrambles to pick up all the papers, folders, and binders she had dropped.
The boy decides to help and starts picking up the papers next to his feet. He then sees a particular binder that caught his interest. It was labeled Equestrian Magic. "Equestrian Magic?" He whispers as he picks the binder up. He opens the binder, and his eyes widen to what he sees. It was a picture of the stone block where the CHS Wondercolts statue once stood with the words "Portal to Equestria" written above it. "Portal?" The boy whispers.
Twilight looks in the boy's direction and notices what he's looking at. She snatches the binder from out of the boy's hand and starts laughing nervously. "Heh heh, that's kind of, a-ah a personal project," she says trying to draw his attention away from her binder.
"Sorry," the boy says as he picks up all the remaining paper off the ground. "Being nosey is kinda my thing." He passes all of Twilight's work that he had picked up back to her. "See ya around I guess." The boy walks off leaving Twilight confused as to who he even was. She suddenly realizes that she was now even more late and quickly rushes to school once again.
After a little while she had finally made it to school, where first period was about to end. After she runs inside a mysterious figure appears was walking over to the stone block at the front of the school. It was a person wearing a hooded black coat that covered his entire body. The sleeves were way to big around and were so long you couldn't even see the person's hands. And due to the hood, the person's face was hidden.
"Well, hello magic portal," he said with delight. He reaches his hand out to touch the portal entrance, but quickly retracts his hand as he hears a couple of voices, he was quite familiar with. He peeked around the side of the stone block and sees the two mysterious girls heading straight for the school. "Ugh, those two are gonna ruin everything." he scoffs. In order to avoid getting caught, he ran off to the side of the school.
"Come on sis," the girl in blue whines as she's pulled by the arm to CHS. "Highschool was the worst four years of my life. Just being near one is bringing back bad memories. Can't we go for ice-cream instead?"
"Look E2," says the girl in red. "That wisp's magic signature says its place of origin is somewhere here a Canterlot High School. Which means we'll either find the magic leak, or him. If we're lucky we'll find both. So bad memories are a small price to pay for saving Equestria, then so be it."
"E2?" The girl in blue asks with a puzzled expression.
"It's better if we don't use our actual names so we don't run the risk of blowing our cover, so as long as we're here, I'm E1and your E2." E1 demands.
"Our codenames stink."
"It doesn't matter if they sound cool or not. Just as long as they're not our real names."
"Fine, but can we at least take off these stupid outfits. They're so tight and I'm really starting to itch under this mask." E2 says as she began to scratch her face.
"No. We need to be ready in case of a magic emergency. As soon as finish up here, we can go home, change into something more comfortable, and relax."
"And get ice-cream?" E2 asks basically begging E1 to say yes.
E1 sighs and says, "And get ice-cream."
"Promise?"
E1 takes both of her hands and grabs E2's, holding them up between them at chest level. "Cross my heart, hope to shine, stick a feather in my eye."
"All right, let's get this over with then." E2 says pulling away from E1's grip and running ahead.
The mysterious man in the black coat peeked around the side of the school and sees the two girls begin their search. "Nuh-uh-uh," he says. "I can't let you two ruin the fun yet. I haven't invited all the players yet." He raises his one of his arms and from out of his oversized sleeve, a wisp of Equestrian magic flies from out of it and starts flying circles around his head. "Aww, I love you too my precious little mischief maker," he says before grabbing the wisp and holding it close to his face. "Now, see those two girls over there? I need you to distract them for a bit while I prepare your family reunion." The wisp, seemingly able to understand what it was being told, quickly flies over to where E1 and E2 were as erratically as it could in order to get their attention before flying away.
"A wisp!" E1 exclaims before chasing after the wisp.
"Hey, what about the leak?!" E2 exclaims.
"That wisp could cause major problems. Will come back for the leak after we deal with this." E1 says running almost out of E2's view.
"Aww fine. I guess Ice-cream will just have to wait a little bit longer," E2 says before running after her partner.
"Good wisp," the mysterious man says. "Now for me to start the fun."
With first period over, the student began leaving the classrooms they were currently in and headed for the classroom of their next period. Sunset heads over to her locker, a little depressed, and notices Twilight entering the school, running in a panic. Her face lights up with a joyful smile as she runs over to greet her friend. "Twilight, you finally..."
"Hey Sunset, good to see you," Twilight rapidly says, cutting Sunset off. "I'd love to stay and chat, but I need to go see if there's any way I can make up for my first period."
"But Twilight, I could really use..." Sunset says before getting cut off once again.
"We'll talk later Sunset, promise." Twilight says before running completely out of Sunset's sight.
Sunset walks back to her locker and starts putting the books she no longer needed from out of her backpack into it. A few lockers down from Sunset's she overheard two boys talking.
"Did you get Pinkie's invitation too?" One of the boys asked.
"I sure did. This is gonna be sweet," the other replied.
"Can you believe we're already at our last year here at CHS?!"
"I know right. Everything changes after this year."
Sunset began hearing students all around her most of them holding Pinkie's invitation, and all of them talking about their last year hear at CHS.
"What do you plan on doing after you graduate?" One student said.
"I definitely won't be sticking around here," said another one.
Sunset tried to cover her ears so she couldn't hear them, but to no avail. She began to hear more and more voices from all around.
"There's a college in the city I used to live in. Maybe I'll just go back there."
"You have to plan carefully or could end up leaving everything you care about behind,"
"My sister told me that after she graduated, she never saw her high school friends again."
"ALL RIGHT I GET IT!" Sunset yells not wanting to hear what everyone else was saying anymore. Everyone turns their attention to Sunset's due to her sudden outburst. She covers her mouth with both hands and goes back to putting her books in her locker. In her effort to get away quickly, Sunset accidentally places the journal Princess Twilight gave her along with her other books. Sunset slams her locker shut and runs away as fast as she could. Inside Sunset's locker, the journal Princess Twilight gave her began to glow flashes of purple light within its pages over and over again.
A couple hours later Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy were all taking a free period and went behind the school to relax for a little while. Applejack is helping Rainbow dash practice her baseball pitch, Fluttershy is playing with the animal she had snuck into school in her backpack, and Rarity was scrolling through her phone as she noticed Pinkie Pie writing a list of some sort.
"Uhm, Pinkie Pie," Rarity says. "If you don't mind me asking, what exactly are you doing."
"Writing down the names of every new student at CHS," Pinkie answers.
"Ugh, why?" Rarity asks.
"Well, I can't bake them all each their favorite cupcakes if I don't even know their names," Pinkie answers.
"Oh, of course," Rarity says deciding it's best to just let her be.
"Hey girls what's up," Twilight asks as she walks over to where Rarity and Pinkie were.
"Twilight!" Pinkie exclaims as she basically tackles Twilight before wrapping her arms around her and pulling her in for a hug.
"Darling where have you been?" Rarity asks.
"I ugh, kinda overslept this morning," Twilight says before flashing a nervous smile.
"This time I'm really gonna put some heat in this pitch AJ," Rainbow Dash says taking her pitching stance.
"Alrighty, don't go whining when my swing puts your pitch to shame," Applejack boast while taking her batting stance.
Twilight looks around the area and notices that one of her friends wasn't around. "Hey where's Sunset?" She asks.
"I don't know darling," Rarity says. "We didn't have any of the same classes, so I haven't seen her since this morning."
"I hope she's okay," Twilight says with concern.
"She did seem a bit off this morning," Rarity says.
The sound of wood hitting a baseball rang through the area. Twilight, Rarity, and Pinkie look up to see a baseball flying overhead. The baseball kept soaring until finally coming down on the side of the school.
"Aww come on!" Rainbow Dash complains stomping her foot on the ground.
"I told you not to go whining," Applejack mocks Rainbow Dash with a victorious look on her face.
Rainbow Dash scoffs and looks over to see that Fluttershy was the closest to where the ball landed. "Yo Fluttershy!" She calls to her. "Can you get the ball please. Thanks"
"Well, okay then." Fluttershy walks around the corner of the school and suddenly gasps. She sees a boy lying on the ground knock out cold. It was the same boy Twilight met on her way to school. He seemingly got knocked out by getting hit in the head by the falling baseball. The boy starts to come to and slowly begins to open his eyes. He opens his eyes completely and sees Fluttershy's face looming over his. His eyes widen as he fully realizes who he was looking at. "Uhm are you okay?" Fluttershy asks. The boy stares at her face for a few more but then shakes his head frantically to shake off the moment. He stands up and grabs the ball that had hit him in the head. Fluttershy gives a sigh of relief and says, "Oh good, I'm glad your -" The boy runs pass Fluttershy, completely ignoring what she was saying. "- Okay."
The other five girls were now all sitting together waiting for Fluttershy to return with the ball. "What's taking Fluttershy?" Rainbow Dash exclaims losing her patience.
"Well, we can't blame her too much," Applejack says. "I did whack that ball pretty far. Very easily I might add."
"It wasn't that far," Rainbow Dash says. "And it was a lucky swing that's all."
"Oh of course, of course." Applejack chuckled teasing Rainbow Dash.
They hear the sound of footsteps coming from around the corner of the school and was surprised to see, not Fluttershy, but a boy that only Twilight recognized bringing the baseball back. The boy notices Applejack holding a baseball bat and walks up to her. "I believe this is yours," he aggravatedly says passing her the baseball.
"Actually, it's mine," Rainbow Dash interjected as she grabbed the baseball out of his hand.
"Hey, you're that 'nosey' guy I met on the way to school this morning," Twilight says.
"Yes, and you're that girl that falls on boys she just met," the boy says teasingly.
"I don't do that very often," Twilight says slightly embarrassed. "So, what were you doing on the side of the school all by yourself?"
"Learning why baseball players wear helmets," he says rubbing the area on his head the ball had hit. "Let me introduce myself. My name is Rain, and I just transferred here from Crystel Prep."
"Crystal Prep?" Rainbow Dash says.
"Yeah, but that place was just one dull day after another," Rain says. "You couldn't even wear what you want there. And the people were just..."
Rain was cut off by Pinkie who was pronouncing his name as she writes it down on her list. "Rrraaaaaaiinnnn." Rain stares at Pinkie, not quite sure what's going on. "What's your favorite cupcake flavor, favorite icing, and favorite topping," she rapidly asks.
"Ugh..." Before Rain could say anything, Pinkie places her finger to his lips, stopping him from attempting to answer.
"Wait, doooon't tell me," Pinkie says with a cocky look on her face before writing on her list again.
"Don't worry about her," Twilight says. "That's just Pinkie Pie being well, Pinkie Pie. I'm Twilight by the way." Twilight stood up and began to introduce the rest of the girls. "This is Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity."
Fluttershy finally made her way back to the others and walks up to Rain. Rain turns around and sees Fluttershy standing right behind him, but he quickly turns back around to face away from her. "Hi," Fluttershy says trying to greet him. "My name is..."
"Well, I really should be going," Rain says cutting Fluttershy off. "It was nice meeting you all. Ugh see ya around," he says as he quickly walks away. The girls all stood there confused as to why Rain suddenly ran off.
Back in the courtyard, the mysterious man in the black coat had returned to the location of the portal to Equestria. He was now carrying a spear of some sort, that had a certain kind of crystal for the tip. He jumps on top of the stone block and finds the crack on the top of it. He raises one of his arms and from out of his oversized sleeve, seven wisps of magic appear. The wisp then flies into the tip of his spear, infusing it with plenty of magic.
"Thank you, my beautiful wisps," he says. " And thank you Twilight Sparkle. Now that my crystal's prepped -" He raises the spear high into the air. "- it's time to bring over the rest of your family." As fast and as hard as he possibly could, he brings down his spear and jams it into the crack. "Knock, knock, Equestria." As he pushes the spear further and further down, the crack begins to get bigger and wisp after wisp begin to seep through.
In the halls of CHS, Sunset was sitting by herself really depressed. "What am I gonna do?" She asks herself. "Who could I even talk to about this. If only I knew someone who was good at helping people with friendship problems." Realizing what she had just said, she facepalms herself. "Oh, right." She reaches into her bag to find her journal but soon realizes that it's not there. "Wait, where is it?!" She rummages through her bag again but still can't find it. "Come on, come on where is it?!" She stops looking for a sec and tries to think of where she could have put it. "Maybe I accidentally put in my locker earlier."
She runs down the hall in a rush to retrieve her journal. When she finally got there, she could see flashes of purple light coming from out of her locker. She quickly opens her locker door and was now deeply concerned. She grabs her journal and opens it up to see that almost all the pages were now filled with messages from Princess Twilight. And the messages just kept coming. "Woah Twilight slow down. I can't read that fast."
Back outside, the mysterious man continued to push and widen the crack. "Come on!" He exclaimed. The crack gets so big it starts to form down the side of the stone block. "Let's get this party started!" He pulls out the spear and waves of Equestrian magic burst from out of the block.
Suddenly, the words forming in Sunset's journal stop and then they begin to vanish. "Huh, what now?" She asks. The pages start turning in reverse, and everything that was written in it starts to vanish as well. Sunset couldn't believe what was happening. "No, no, no, stop come back!" No matter how much she begged, it was no use. The words kept vanishing, down to the very first word written. "What's going on?"
Suddenly, she hears a large explosion-like sound coming from the courtyard. She rushes there as quickly as her legs could take her. She is at a loss for words as she sees an explosion on magic burst from out of the stone block. She then looks at the mysterious man standing on top of the block, who then turns around to face her. "Well," he says sinisterly. "It's showtime."
