The sun rose over the horizon, illuminating Canterlot City, signaling the beginning of a new day.
In Sunset's room, Michiru and Nazuna were sleeping in sleeping bags.
After the rest of the Mane 7 left for their respective homes, Sunset gave the two girls a sleeping bag so they could rest peacefully, as well as a pair of pajamas that fit them well enough while Shirou decided to stay and sleep on the couch.
Sunset tried to convince him otherwise, but he stood by his decision, which the reddish-haired girl eventually accepted.
In the room, silence reigned until, finally, Michiru woke up, sat up and stretched her arms while letting out a huge yawn.
Looking to one side, she saw her best friend still sleeping in her sack and then looked to the other side, where Sunset's bed was, but, to her surprise, it was empty.
In addition, a sound of fire reached her ears, as well as a savory smell.
Filled with curiosity, she got up and left the room.
Soon after, she reached the kitchen, where she found Sunset with a frying pan while she was preparing something.
It was then that she noticed the presence of the tanuki girl.
"Oh, good morning, Michiru." said Sunset.
"Good morning, Sunset. What are you making?" asked Michiru.
"Bacon and eggs, I thought you and Nazuna would like something like this for breakfast." said Sunset.
"I love it." said Michiru before noticing something. "Wait, where's Shirou?" asked Michiru when she saw that the werewolf wasn't there.
"When I woke up, I didn't see him either. I don't know where he went." said Sunset.
"He probably went to look for that intruder on his own. Ugh. It bugs me that he didn't warn me." said Michiru crossing her arms.
"Looks like you two are good friends." said Sunset as she set the food down on various plates on the table.
"Well, you could say we're buddies. After all, I helped him solve many cases." said Michiru with her hands on her hips.
"You look almost like father and daughter." said Sunset before chuckling.
"You could say that."
The two girls turned to the side to see Nazuna coming into the room.
"Because we are originally human and after a series of events, Shirou became our legal guardian." said Nazuna.
"It's clear that he can't do anything without me." said Michiru.
"More like, that he's the only one who can keep an eye on you so you don't get into trouble." said Nazuna.
"EY!" exclaimed Michiru with a pout.
Sunset couldn't help but laugh at the situation.
After that, the three of them were able to have breakfast quietly.
"So, what do you plan to do today?" asked Sunset.
"Well, I don't know, since we don't know anything about this city." said Michiru.
"Why don't you come with me? Yesterday, the girls and I arranged to go to the mall." said Sunset.
"That's fine. I could use to buy some new clothes." said Nazuna.
"Yes, but the only problem is that I'll have to go in human form." said Michiru.
"I don't understand. Weren't you originally human?" asked Sunset.
"Yes, but I've been in this form for so long that now, human form, to me, feels like I'm wearing heels. That's why I like this form better." said Michiru.
"I understand you a little bit. I've been in this human form for so long, that, if I were to go back to being a unicorn, it would take me a while to get back to my old ways." said Sunset.
"I still find it unbelievable that you are a magical unicorn from another world." said Nazuna.
"You and many people." said Sunset.
"Do you still have your magic?" asked Michiru.
"No. When unicorns pass through the portal to this world, they lose the ability to create magic. Though now I have the magic that transforms me and my power to see people's memories." said Sunset.
"You know? That power could be very useful for Shirou. With it you could see people's memories and see who the bad guy really is." said Michiru.
"Sounds good, but I don't feel comfortable looking at people's memories without their permission." said Sunset.
"Because it would be like a violation of privacy, right?" asked Nazuna.
"Exactly." said Sunset.
"Still, it can become very useful." said Michiru.
"Yes, that's true." said Sunset.
Meanwhile, Shirou was walking around the city in his human form, trying to find the intruder, either by sight or with his sense of smell.
However, all he saw was a bunch of people going about their business without any trouble.
"This city is very peaceful, but where there is light, there is darkness and surely our intruder will be hiding in that darkness." thought Shirou.
Determined to increase his search, he ducked into an alleyway and transformed into his beastman form before jumping onto the roof of the building.
Then, making sure to stay out of sight of people, Shirou began jumping from rooftop to rooftop as he tried to locate the intruder.
After breakfast, Sunset and the two beastmen girls, transformed into humans, went to the mall where the rest of the Mane7 were waiting for them.
"Hello, girls." said Sunset.
"You're finally here." said Spike.
"How did you spend your first night?" asked Twilight.
"Very well. Can't complain." said Nazuna.
"Hey, where's Shirou?" asked Fluttershy, who was holding Kuro in her arms due to the fact that she decided to take care of him.
"He left early to look for that intruder that caused the event that brought us here." said Michiru.
"Oh, I was looking forward to getting to know him more." said Pinkie Pie.
"Well, he's a police consultant. It's his job." said Michiru.
"I can respect that." said Applejack.
"Well, girls, now that we're all here, it's shopping time!" said Rarity.
"Honestly, I'd rather be playing sports." said Rainbow Dash.
"Me too." said Michiru.
"Oh yeah? Tell me, what sport do you play?" asked Rainbow Dash curiously.
"Mostly basketball, but I also play baseball from time to time." said Michiru.
"I'm more of a soccer player, but I can play other sports too. I'm pretty good." said Rainbow Dash.
"Good, huh? How about we play one on one basketball when we can?" asked Michiru.
"I accept the challenge." said Rainbow Dash.
For the next few hours, the girls went from store to store.
Rarity had Michiru and Nazuna try on various models of different styles.
While Nazuna seemed to enjoy it, Michiru looked annoyed.
That changed when they passed by a clothing and sporting goods store, where Michiru and Rainbow Dash were trying on various clothes as well as some items such as balls, bats, etc.
Finally, the entire group could be seen walking through the mall, with Rarity and Nazuna carrying several shopping bags.
"Was it really necessary for you to buy all that?" asked Michiru.
"Hey, there are no stores like that in Anima City, so I don't see the problem with enjoying the fashion of this world." said Nazuna.
"Say yes, my dear. Personally, I'd do the same if I were in your situation." said Rarity.
"Although you've had your share of shopping too, Michiru." said Sunset pointing to the bag Michiru was carrying.
"What? A jock can't have a couple of extra changes?" asked Michiru.
"You should practice by example, Rainbow Dash." said Applejack.
"Hey, I usually change my clothes." said Rainbow Dash, only to receive a narrowed look from the farm girl. "Okay, not every day, but I do." said Rainbow Dash, causing the group to giggle a little.
At that moment, a slight growl sounded and everyone turned their gaze to Michiru who covered her stomach with a slight blush.
"Hehe. Looks like this shopping has given me an appetite." said Michiru with a nervous smile.
"You're not the only one." said Spike.
"Uh. I know just the PERFECT place to grab a drink." said Pinkie Pie before grabbing both beastmen girls by the arm. "Let's go!" exclaimed Pinkie Pie before quickly running off as she dragged the beastmen with her, leaving the rest of the Mane 7 behind.
"We should have figured something like that." said Twilight.
"Yeah, right." said Sunset.
The group of girls now found themselves in a small coffee shop called Sweet Shoppe, where, as far as the beastmen girls could tell, specialized in sweets.
"I'll say it, your friend is crazy." said Nazuna.
"So is Pinkie Pie. She can be a little out of control, but she's a great friend when you need her." said Sunset.
"Plus, she's good at making people smile. Wherever she goes, she always makes sure everyone else is having fun." said Applejack.
"Now I understand when she said about her being a party expert." said Michiru.
"Yes, that's one of Pinkie Pie's talents. She's able to throw a great party for anything." said Rarity.
"Oh, I'm so glad to hear that."
They all turned their heads to the side to see Pinkie Pie in uniform and some roller skates.
"I always make sure my parties are the best for everyone." said Pinkie Pie.
"Wait, you work here?" asked Michiru.
"Yes and since this is your first time, I will give you a super - mega - hyper - special service." said Pinkie Pie before giving them a couple of menus. "I'll be right back to take your orders. They're calling me." said Pinkie Pie before skating off to another part of the place.
The two beastmen girls looked at each other for a moment before looking at the menus.
"Wow. Everything looks delicious." said Michiru.
"I'm having a little trouble deciding," said Nazuna.
"Well, we have experience with this place. So we might be able to help you with a couple of recommendations." said Sunset.
Mane 7 spent a while recommending to the two beastmen some sweets and milkshakes they served and soon after, Pinkie Pie showed up to take their order and once she got it from all of them, she left to report to the bosses.
Of course, Michiru and Nazuna were shocked when they saw Pinkie Pie skating back and forth smoothly and overcoming every obstacle without spilling any of what she was carrying.
As if she knew what was going to happen.
A couple of minutes later, Pinkie Pie arrived with her friends' orders, a smoothie for Michiru and a cake for Nazuna.
The two beastmen girls tasted their orders and let out a groan of happiness.
"My goodness! This is so good!" said Michiru.
"I've never tasted a cake like this before!" said Nazuna.
"That's what Sweet Shoppe's sweets are like. The best in city." said Pinkie Pie.
"This will be one of the things I'm going to miss when we go back to Anima City." commented Michiru.
"I'd like to visit it someday. It sounds like a wonderful place." said Fluttershy.
"Well, it's nice, yes, but it also has its problems" said Nazuna.
"Well as you see here, almost nothing bad ever happens." said Twilight.
Suddenly, an alarm sounded from outside the cafeteria.
"But doesn't anyone ever learn that when you say that, something really bad ends up happening? It happens in all the movies." said Pinkie Pie.
"What's going on?" asked Rarity.
"Wait, I'll check." said Michiru before getting under the table and returning to her beastman form before turning her ears into those of a bunny.
She wiggled them back and forth to pick up the external sound and when she located it, she sat back down in her human form.
"There seems to be a robbery at a nearby jewelry store and the thieves are making off with the loot." said Michiru.
"Oh no! It must have been at Tiffany's!" exclaimed Rarity.
"Well, then let's go stop them from going any further." said Rainbow Dash.
"Rainbow Dash, I think we should leave this to the authorities." said Applejack.
"I agree with her. I'm sure you can handle it." said Nazuna.
"We should still go to make sure no one gets hurt." said Sunset.
"Finally some action." said Michiru.
Quickly, the group of girls left the cafeteria, though shortly after, Pinkie Pie returned to drop off her properly folded uniform plus the money for the bill for the orders.
The girls went to an alleyway, where Mane 7 transformed into her half-pony forms and Michiru and Nazuna were returning to their beastmen forms.
"Rainbow Dash, go fly over and look at the situation." said Sunset.
"Go with her, Nazuna." said Michiru.
"Got it." said Nazuna sprouting wings on her back before she and Rainbow Dash took flight.
Both girls were flying for a while until...
"There!" said Rainbow Dash pointing down where a vehicle could be seen speeding away from a couple of police cars.
"Go warn the others, I'll keep an eye on them." said Nazuna.
"Copy that." said Rainbow Dash before turning around and flying quickly to where the others were. "They're going in a car a couple of blocks from here." said Rainbow Dash.
"We're on our way!" said Sunset.
"Yes." said Michiru before turning her legs into those of a cheetah and running quickly while Twilight flew and used her telekinetic powers to lift the others.
They all followed the path of the thieves' vehicle, which had managed to escape the cops and was speeding through the streets.
The girls gathered in the middle of a street and waited for a few seconds until they saw the vehicle pull up to where they were.
"Hey, guys!" said Pinkie Pie pulling a cupcake out of her hair that she sprinkled some pink glitter on. "Have a little treat!" said Pinkie Pie tossing the cupcake into the car.
The moment the cupcake hit the car, an explosion happened which sent the car rapping down the street until it ended up hitting a lamppost, twisting it in the process while the hood of the car was smashed.
"Whoops. I think I threw too much out." said Pinkie Pie with a nervous smile.
Soon after, several masked thieves emerged from the vehicle.
"Ugh. What the hell…?" asked one of the thieves before noticing the girls in front of him and his companions. "Hey, girls, stay out of this! It's none of your business!"
"Sorry, dear, but when you rob the most famous jewelry store in the world, it becomes my business!" said Rarity.
"You mean, our, don't you?" asked Twilight.
"Yes, that's right." said Rarity correcting herself.
"We won't let you leave with what isn't yours." said Michiru pointing her finger at them.
"You'd better surrender." said Sunset trying to settle things peacefully.
"Ha. Like I'd let a bunch of girls in cheesy costumes tell us what to do. Go get 'em!" said the thief before he and the others jumped into a fight.
"Looks like they've decided to settle this the hard way." said Rainbow Dash cracking her knuckles.
"They almost always do." said Applejack rolling her eyes.
Fluttershy stepped back a little and shivered as a thief approached her.
"C-Couldn't we settle this peacefully?" asked Fluttershy.
"We could, yes, but no." said the thief.
However, before he raised his fist, a cawing sound was heard from the sky and they both turned their gaze upwards to see Kuro flying towards the thief with a flock of crows behind him.
Before the thief could react, the crows positioned themselves around him and began to sting him all over his body.
"AH! Get them off me! Get them off me!" shouted the thief as he waved his arms like mad in an attempt to drive the crows away.
He tried to run away from them, but ended up crashing into a lamppost, ending up unconscious in the process.
Soon after, Kuro flew into Fluttershy's arms.
"Oh, thank you so much, Kuro." said Fluttershy before giving the crow a kiss on the forehead, making him blush in the process.
"You know? You should have something sweet. Like this pie." said Pinkie Pie before pulling a pie out of nowhere and throwing it at the thief, smearing it all over his head.
The thief brushed some off his face before tasting some of the pie.
"Cherry? I hate cherry." said the thief with annoyance.
"I know, that's why I thought I'd add a little spice." said Pinkie Pie creating glitter dust in her hands.
"Wait, how did you know that...?" asked the thief before Pinkie Pie threw her glowing powder at him, causing an explosion that knocked him down in the process.
"Well, my shift is over. I wonder what's next?" said Pinkie Pie pulling out a booklet with the title 'Equestria Beastmen Girls Script'.
Stop stealing it from me!
A human hand suddenly reached out and grabbed the script.
A thief dashed toward Rarity, who was acting as if nothing was wrong.
Before the thief reached her, a diamond-shaped shield got in her way, causing the thief to collide with her.
"Didn't your mother teach you not to hit girls?" asked Rarity before creating a diamond shield underneath the thief and lifting him up, causing him to trip and fall.
Before the thief got up, Rarity created a diamond shield above him and crushed him, knocking him down in the process.
"Hmm. If she taught you that, you should have listened to her." said Rarity.
A thief tried to hit Rainbow Dash, but she quickly moved to the side to dodge him.
The thief tried to hit her again, only to have her dodge him by moving like lightning.
That method kept going on for a while until the thief began to tire.
"Why don't you stop?!" the thief asked.
"Sorry, but I don't like standing still." said Rainbow Dash before she started running around the thief, forming a rainbow barrier in the process.
The thief looked around quickly in search of the rainbow haired girl, but then, Rainbow Dash quickly shot towards him and gave him a punch that sent him flying and knocked him down.
"That's how we do things in my city." said Rainbow Dash.
An overweight thief approached Applejack with steps that resembled a sumo wrestler.
"You'd better surrender, young lady. You don't want to get hurt." said the thief arrogantly.
"No, thank you." said Applejack.
"Very well. Don't say I didn't warn you." said the thief directing a punch towards the farm girl.
However, Applejack caught the thief's fist very easily, much to the thief's surprise.
"What?" asked the thief in confusion.
"Actually, I won't be the one who will get hurt." said Applejack before lifting the thief over her head and tossing him a bit into the air and then holding him over her hand and spinning him around like a basketball, causing the thief to scream.
A couple of seconds later, Applejack dropped the thief to the ground, who staggered a bit due to dizziness before falling unconscious.
"You shouldn't trust appearances." said Applejack tipping her hat a little.
A thief prepared to fight Twilight, but then, she extended her hand towards him and a lavender-colored aura surrounded him before lifting him into the air.
"But what...?" asked the thief very confused.
"I'm sorry, sir, but I can't let you go down that path of delinquency." said Twilight.
"Stop with the lectures and put me down right now!" said the thief.
"If that's what you want." said Twilight before making the aura disappear, leaving the thief in mid-air before he fell to the ground.
When the thief raised his head, he found Spike scowling at him.
"This is what happens when you mess with my friend." said Spike.
"AH! A talking dog!" said the thief before running away in fear.
"Really? A girl levitates him and gets scared of a talking dog? What's wrong with people?" asked Spike.
"I don't know." said Twilight with a shrug.
Nazuna stared at a thief who looked at her curiously.
"You know? I bet you would be very famous if I sold you to a zoo." said a thief.
Nazuna frowned at him, as it reminded her of that man who helped her become famous, only to find out she was nothing more than a tool.
She quickly grew her arm to a larger size and then threw a punch at the thief, sending him crashing into a wall and knocking him down in the process.
"If I'm going to be famous, it will be on my terms. Not someone else's." said Nazuna.
Michiru was facing a thief who was bigger and stronger than the others.
"You'd better surrender, delinquent." said Michiru bravely despite the thief's intimidating appearance.
"I'll never surrender to a monster like you." said the thief.
"Oh, you just made a grave mistake." said Michiru before enlarging her fist and pulling it back, much to the thief's horror.
Michiru let out a cry of exertion before throwing her fist at the thief, hitting him and sending him crashing into the car, being knocked down in the process.
"Just so you know, I'm a tanuki." said Michiru.
A thief tried to punch Sunset, but she dodged the blow before giving him a side kick, pushing him aside.
Before the thief recovered, Sunset lunged at him and punched him in the face, knocking him unconscious.
After that, she turned around to see the rest of her friends along with the other thieves knocked down.
"Well done, girls." said Sunset.
"Did you doubt that, dear?" asked Rarity.
"Compared to what we faced, they were nothing." said Applejack.
"All right. Now we should round them up and..." began Sunset before she froze, as there was a clicking sound accompanied by her feeling something cold and metallic in the back of her head.
The other girls let out a gasp of horror as they saw another thief pointing a gun at Sunset's head.
"All right, listen to me good. You're going to back off and let me go or your friend will pay." said the thief.
"Let go of our friend, you coward." demanded Michiru.
"Girls, stop." said Twilight standing in front of everyone and directing her gaze at the thief. "It's okay, you can go. Just please don't hurt our friend."
"I see you're smart, but to be sure, this lady will come with me and if any of you plan to follow me, then I'll…" began the thief.
"What will you do then?"
Quickly the thief turned around with the gun in hand, but suddenly, a hairy, clawed hand grabbed the gun before tightening its grip and destroying the gun.
The thief looked at the remains of the gun before looking up and discovering that the causer was none other than Shirou in his beastman form.
"If you threaten a young girl, you can't consider yourself human." said Shirou showing his sharp teeth.
Before the thief could react, Shirou hit him in the head, knocking him down in the process.
After that, he turned his gaze to the reddish-haired girl.
"Are you okay?" asked Shirou.
"Y-Yes, I am. Thanks to you." said Sunset.
"Good thing you got here in time." said Nazuna.
"We could have solved it on our own though." said Rainbow Dash.
"Rainbow Dash, I was holding our friend hostage. We couldn't have done anything without her getting hurt." said Applejack.
"Are you sure she's okay?" asked Twilight putting her hands on her friend's shoulders.
"Yeah, take it easy. There's nothing wrong with me." said Sunset with a smile.
"May I ask what you were doing?" asked Shirou.
"Hey, isn't it obvious? We just arrested some thieves." said Pinkie Pie.
"Why didn't you leave the matter to the police?" asked Shirou.
"Well, we intended to, but we wanted to make sure no one got hurt." said Fluttershy.
"Although the only ones who got hurt were those thieves." said Rarity.
"This was none of your business, you should have stayed out of it." said Shirou.
"Look, Shirou, I know you want to protect us, but you know, from what we've been told, that they won't stand still if there's any trouble." said Michiru.
"I admit it may have been a mistake to get us involved, but if lives are in danger, we're willing to fight." said Sunset.
"Because if we don't do it, who will?" asked Twilight.
"Exactly. We have magical powers, and we want to use them to help people." said Applejack.
In light of the good arguments, Shirou let out a sigh of defeat.
"Okay, but be more careful next time or I'll be forced to take action." said Shirou before turning and walking away.
"Does it hurt to be nice?" asked Spike.
"That's Shirou. He may look tough and cold on the outside, but inside he cares about all of us." said Michiru.
"I already knew he was nice actually." said Fluttershy.
"Hey, girls. I don't mean to interrupt, but we'd better get going before the police arrive." said Pinkie Pie as sirens could be heard from the distance.
Quickly, the girls went to a distant alley where they undid the transformation.
Afterwards, they decided to continue the rest of the day having fun.
"We still don't know anything about those mysterious heroes who stopped the gang of thieves. All we know is that, according to some witnesses, among those heroes were three people who looked like half-animals. On the Internet there are many theories that point to…" said a journalist on television before someone turned it off.
That someone was none other than the intruder in an unknown location.
"Damn it. Them again. Not only am I stranded in this world and weird, but there's them too! Grrr." said the intruder with much frustration. "Never mind. At least I have everything I need." said the intruder turning to see a table full of chemical stuff plus a laptop. "I just need a little more and I'll get the result I need. I'll figure out my return at some point, but in the meantime, it's time to get to work."
