You lie on the bed looking at her sleeping. The first rays of sunlight light up her dark hair, her face, her innocent smile. She is smiling in her sleep. What is she dreaming about?
For the first time for years you hasn't woken up alone. For the first time she has been here. You've never expected that she would finally come to you and just say "I love you". It was hard to believe.
You gently touch her cheek. That's ridiculous, you know, but you just want to make sure she's real. She stirs a bit and you are afraid that you've woken her up. But she's still deeply asleep.
The last few years have been terrible for you. You've been alone. A lot of people have been around you, but you were alone. Only her presence has been soothing, but you've been too cautious to do anything. You didn't want more pain.
But now it's different.

She wakes up, and when she notices you, she smiles. She looks in your eyes and whispers "I'm here".
