Squall Leonheart and Seifer Almasy were eternal rivals, and rarely agreed on anything. Most of the time, just being in the same room as the other sparked a fight between them. But today, both found an item of unity, and eyed the object with frosted glares.
Because Aerith was walking with him, Roxas did not even glance their way. Because Aerith was with him, he received only glares, and warnings of after school. Because Aerith was there, and Tifa was watching, Roxas did not turn to make a rude gesture in Seifer's general direction. And because he knew both Tifa and Aerith would not let him take the challenge of after school, Roxas decided to cut out of gym class.
And as he joined his history class, Roxas wondered, fleetingly, what he had done to earn the enmity of those two.
And then he remembered.
Note: The reason Leon hates Roxas is a plot point of the series, and isn't going to be revealed here. Why Seifer hates him, though...is still up for grabs. But Seifer, at least, gets over it. I don't know if Leon ever does.
And in this series, Roxas's surname is "Reikou," which means "cold light."

Surprisingly, I noticed after I finished this, there is no kissing. Oh well. It's short and pointless, like the last chapter.
