My name Nadeshiko Tokunaga. My daily life consists of getting up early in the morning, going to the University of Tokyo, then going to work at a small bookstore as the assistant and treasurer of the store. Did I forget to mention that they pay me minimum wage and take all the credit?
I'm just waiting for the day when they fuck up and I can kick some ass but for now I'm going to have to swallow my pride and work. I really need the money for me and my cats. I had a boyfriend. Period... but I recently broke up with him. He cheated on me with my so-called friend and well. I decided to drop them both then in there. The skank was lucky that I only damaged her self-confidence by cutting her hair and the scum bag got a real beating from me.
I've been wanting to kick his ass since the moment he began to fuck up our relationship. I made sure to remind them to never mess with me. Today was a long day at work, seeing as a supposed trillionaire was coming in today, to view the place to see if it was worthy of saving it from being demolished for a finance company honestly, as much as I want to see the look on their faces, when this place gets demolish, because of their cheating and scheming Waze, I kind of don't want the bookstore to go away... it has so many incredible books.
But he didn't want to see it happen, so I walked out on my break and went to go buy a Boba tea and walked around the city for a bit. It was a windy day today a bit chilly. After all we were in the middle of winter I wore my favorite sky, blue knitted cardigan, a long sleeve, white shirt, some denim skinny jeans and some black knee-high timberlands I always have my hair down as usual it's long and wavy and raven black it's always soft to the touch even when I don't usually do anything to it.
My grandmother has always told me I resembled my mother a lot like if I were the exact incarnation of her but I never knew my mother nor my father. I don't even know if they're alive or not. I just know I was abandoned by them and left with my grandmother to raise me on her own. Well to be quite frank I'm not even sure if they abandon me it's just the way I feel I'm 27 now a fully grown adult and she's still keeping secrets from me even when I ask her about them she won't budge. She still tells me I'm too young to ask her about them but I think she just doesn't want me to get hurt.
As I was walking around, lost in my own thoughts, I didn't notice my surroundings, nor where exactly I was going I didn't realize I was crossing a busy street when I heard the honking of a semi truck, I suddenly realized where I was. All I could do is freeze seeing as I couldn't decide whether I should use my powers or not that is until I felt a pair of strong arms lift me up in the air where I soon reacted, and stopped time. When I looked to see who saved meme, he was a Man with Ash-brown hair and sky blue eyes, wearing a long blue trench-coat trying to get me to safety.
did I forget to mention that I have powers, and I still have yet to understand them. I was told from my grandmother to never show my powers to people were they would completely freak out, but my dumbass decided to reveal my time, stopping power or everything, but me moves slower in time. Somehow it didn't seem to affect the man saving my life he seemed more surprised than I was, as he continued to look at me with awe. Once we were both safe and out of harms way, the man quickly grabbed me by the wrist and drag me to a quiet in a crowd less area.
"Hey bud! What the hell is your-"
"i'm sorry miss but I had to isolate you from the crowd as quickly as possible. I finally found you, princess Nadeshiko Rei Tokunaga... I've come to take you back home to the Empire to become the new empress of the sanctuary. Please... come back home with me." Replied the man in a serious tone as he then kiss the top of my hand gently.
but I soon slapped his hand away and pushed him back.
"Listen hear you misbegotten leech! I don't know who you are or what your deal is but we've only just met and you already tried to get your way with me! Well, that ain't happening bub! How dare you try to take advantage of me!" I growled with rage as I punched his gut, and without a second thought, I ran away before he could tell me anything.

back at the bookstore, the trillionaire arrived and looked at the three owners such a displeased look on his face.
"you're selling books for high prices you haven't sold any in years! And what is worse you've been cheating your customers, you are all nothing but scumbags! Shut the place down and get it ready for demolish this afternoon. Argued the trillionaire with a disappointed look.
"No! Please! We beg of you, sir! Please reconsider-"
"My word is final!" Replied the trillionaire firmly.
"sir! Wait! You have to see this!" Spoke the man's assistant with shock as he handed the accounting reports to the man.
The trillionaire examined the reports carefully.
"it seems the treasurer from here took care of all of their finances, but it seems she put the money to good use, by giving the money back to the people and selling the books for cheaper prices. Looks like she was the only one with the smart brain here and was paid psh... very low. But I'm guessing she just quit seeing as she left the snow for them." Replied the assistant with a serious look as he hinted his boss for something.
"so... what's your point Li Sheng?" Asked the boss man with a firm growl.
"You need a new accountant/treasurer sir. The tried to rob you of your money plus he seemed to be doing some fraudulent business with some of our trusted acquainted companies. Maybe a woman is all you need for a change! She seems very well, knowledgeable, Sir." Replied Li Sheng with a confident smile on his face.
The boss Man, then looked at the book store manager's wife, and gave her a ferocious glare.
"where is she? What's her name? And how do I contact her!? Speak! NOW!" Growled the boss man with fury.
"O-of course sir! L-let me go get her application for you!" Replied the woman nervously, and she soon got up and searched for Nadeshiko's application.
The woman then handed Nadeshiko's application to the boss man in which he observed it for quite a while.
"demolish this place down by sunset get Seiya down here with his swat team. Make sure all these books go to a better place and destroy every information they may have about this woman and the customers. I'm going back to the office." Replied the boss man, with such a corrosive tone as he walked out the door.
"consider it done, sir." Replied Li Sheng firmly as he called Seiya for back up.
The boss man soon arrived back to his office when suddenly he got a call from his younger brother.
"What is it Shun? I'm quite busy!" Replied the man a bit annoyed.
"your annual check up is today Ikki! You can't miss it today! Otherwise, I am sending Seiya to get you, and you know his tactics are annoying!" Replied Shun firmly.
"how do you expect me to go right now! I'm busy working-"
"no, you're not! I can see you from the window!" Replied Shun a bit annoyed as he looked through the window of his office with binoculars whilst talking on the phone with his older brother.
"what was I thinking making my building next to his." Thought Ikki to himself as he side heavily in annoyance.
"fine! I'll go in about an hour! Now will you stop pestering me! Go bother Shiryu or Hyoga for a change!" Replied an irritated Ikki.
"By the way...did you hear? Aiolos the former empress's and emperor's lost princess. He said that she looked exactly like her mother though she had a different hairstyle, he could feel it was her royal highness! He even said that he witnessed her using her powers by stopping time! That was one of the many powers of the empress!" Replied Shun with such a gossipy look on his face.
"let's not get ahead of ourselves... just because she resembles the Empress and has a part of her powers doesn't mean it's her missing daughter... you need to find a new hobby instead of gossiping Shun." Replied Ikki any more serious tone as he now grabbed the application form of the woman who got his attention earlier.
"what's that you got there Ikki? You finally found a replacement for your accountant? By the way, is the other one swimming with the fishes?" Asked Shun with a curious look on his face.
"cut it out would you! I'll be there in five minutes. Just stop being such a gossip diva out of the four of us. You're the one who is the most prima donna." Yelled Ikki in annoyance as he insulted his brother.
"I am not a prima donna! Just because I take care of my skin, do my hair, and enjoy a bit of celebrity gossip doesn't make me a prima donna! I am a pacifist!-"
"Yeah, yeah, I got it! Will you just hang up already so I can go do the stupid check up!" Hissed Ikki in annoyance as he got in the elevator to go to the building next door.
"Don't yell at me!" Growled Shun angrily as they both hung up, and Ikki finally arrived to his younger brother's office.
"everything seems normal. I just need a sample of your blood to see if that hot tempered head of yours is at least keeping your blood pressure stable-"
"hey! You said it was just a check up! No poking-"
"Yeah! To check the human part of you! The blood sample is to check our cosmos. Do you know what the doctor from the sanctuary said! We have to do an annual check up on our cosmos! We're like Demi gods! If our cosmos is out of balance, then we're done for! Where is different from humans... I mean we're humans but we're different... we get to live longer than them because of our powers." Replied Shun firmly while scolding his older brother.
The blood test results soon came back. Everything was normal, including Ikki's blood pressure was fine, which made Shun sigh in relief.
The two soon parted ways, and got back to work. Ikki didn't get off till 12 AM seeing as he had trouble with the folks down at the bookstore. As soon as he was about to step in his car, he heard someone coughing and vomiting near the corner of the building.
He saw a woman, struggling to stand up from the concrete ground, coughing up blood while grabbing at her stomach.
"hey! Are you all right? What happened?" Replied Ikki with concern in his voice.
but he soon frozen shock as he noticed that it was the same woman from the picture of the application. She soon reached for him weakly.
"Pl...ease...h-h-help-"
he's in control of himself and picked her up in his arms quickly running to his brothers hospital. " Dr. Shun, it's an emergency! Your older brother's girlfriend is coughing up blood severely!"Yelled one of the nurses frantically.
"What," thought Shun to himself he's in Reno out of his office and hurriedly rushed the woman to the ER.
A tall, dark figure with long dark hair and a pair of dark wings, sit outside the building, smiling with such a creepy smile.
"I found you...my dear." Spoke to figure in a sing song voice as he left for disappearing into thin air.
