[Planet of Tatooine]
For the longest time a young man wondered if the Force or whatever it is called had some kind of destiny in plan for him from the day he was born...
This young man didn't know where he came from, all he remembered was that he was put into the slave trade ever since he was a little boy... not much older than a toddler.
The young man didn't know where he came from. He didn't even know the name of the planet he was originally from. All he knew was his first name...
...Jaune...
From a very young age young Jaune had to learn how to survive as being a slave on one of the most hostile planets in the galaxy was not an easy way to live. He escape multiple times and was punished severely each time he was brought back by either a bounty hunter or by the locals trying to make a quick credit.
But Jaune continued to defy whoever brought him and eventually he was returned to the slave trade... but that didn't stop him from trying to survive, or find a way to find true freedom!
From a young age Jaune learn to fight as the slavers were not merciful to him and many of his fellow slaves often attacked him for extra pieces of food and refreshments a lot of times since the slavers hardly gave them any food at all.
Jaune quickly learned how to hold his own against his fellow slaves and even the occasional jailer who held him prisoner.
Jaune didn't think he was going to live a long life as he expected one day to be taken out by and angered owner or the individuals in the slave trade...but that all change the day he met him..
The legendary bounty Hunter who wore Mandalorian armor... Boba Fett!
It started off in Jaune's latest attempt to escape from his captors. He even managed to get so far as to steal a starship to get off the planet he was on in order to escape to whatever sector he could get to in order to be free.
But unfortunately or fortunately for him he ran into the legendary bounty hunter as he was making his escape...and to say things went well for him would be nothing further from the truth...
Jaune tried to fight back but he was no match for the bounty hunter with much better experience as was quickly defeated in only a matter of seconds. Jaune knew boba Fett could have easily killed him at least ten times in their short fight but he chose not to...
Then as Jaune was returned to his owner he was about to be killed for his insolence by said owner as he pulled out a blaster pistol in order to make an example out of him in front of the other slaves. That is when Boba Fett did something unexpected.
Without so much as a warning Boba Fett executed the slave owner and his guards within a matter of seconds with his carbine rifle. Jaune was confused as Boba released him from his restraints.
Jaune can still remember what he asked him that day.
"Why?"
"I don't know. Just call it a hunch."
Jaune never understood why the bounty hunter did what he did, or what he did next by taking him under his wing so to speak as Jaune even took his last name, gaining the name of Jaune Fett.
For reasons still not clear to him, Boba Fett taught Jaune everything he needed to know about bounty hunting...and it turned out Jaune was a natural as years trying to survive had made him quite ruthless and a skilled fighter.
From his time in slavery he learned how to fight, but it was Boba Fett and his allies that taught Jaune so much more.
Boba taught Jaune how to shoot a blaster, how to fight better, stealth, how to track, how to hunt, how to survive!
With time Jaune grew in strength and became independent from the closest thing he had to a parent.
Boba left them at his own devices as eventually Jaune became a bounty hunter himself during the time of the Empire.
Unlike his makeshift foster parent and other bounty hunters Jaune did his best to avoid getting involved with the Galactic Empire as he did not want to be dragged into the civil war going across the Galaxy between the Rebels and the Empire.
That didn't mean Jaune wasn't involved entirely at all as he had his occasional run in with the Stormtroopers or the occasional Rebels.
But he managed to survive each time and even had a habit of taking the Stormtroopers helmets as a trophy.
Jaune saw no need to be merciful with the Stormtroopers. The Rebels he could see where they were coming from but he refused to join the rebel side as he felt like it was not his war. But for the foot soldiers of the Empire, he showed no mercy and at one time in little over a month he had already collected a staggering hundred Stormtrooper helmets, even some from elite Stormtroopers.
Jaune was a survivor. He took anything valuable from his bounties and anyone who got in his way whenever he could. With time his skill grew, but unlike other bounty hunters he made sure to stay under the radar as last thing he wanted was to be dragged into the civil war!
But it seems the Force has a way of dragging people into something they don't want to do as before Jaune knew it, he found himself on his childhood planet where he spent most of his childhood as a slave... the planet of Tatooine.
And he wasn't there because he wanted to be... he was strictly there on business!
Jabba the Hut had just been killed by Luke Skywalker and his allies...and Boba Fett, the closest thing he had to a parent had died in a Sarlac Pit after being defeated by a Han Solo, another infamous bounty hunter who Boba personally held a grudge against.
Jaune didn't know if Boba Fett was alive or not as all he found from the Sarlac Pit was the Mandalorian armor that had once belonged to Boba's father, Jango Fett.
"You knew that one day you would probably have been killed by the people you hunted. I'm not angry, it's just another one of the dangers of being a bounty hunter. Han had to kill you...but now someone else must take the mantle."said Jaune as he looked at what remained of the Beskar armor that once belong to Boba Fett.
And Jaune knew what he must do as soon as he made his way away from the Sarlac Pit.
From the Sarlac Pit Jaune stole a speeder bike from a nearby Stormtrooper patrol and made his way to Jabba's Palace as fast as the speeder bike could take him!
Jaune knew why he was going there as any idiot with anything reminiscent of a brain knew what was going to happen next.
Since the crime lord was dead and the news that's still not reach the galaxy's ears, Jaune decided to help himself what to what he could before the Hut Family, or whoever else decided to help themselves to the riches of the once feared Crime Boss once known as Jabba the Hutt.
Once inside the palace Jaune quickly loaded up anything he deemed valuable and took Boba Fett's ship, the Slave I as he figured his predecessor would not be needing it anymore seeing as he was most likely no more...That along with the fact that the ship that he used to get to Tatooine was nothing compared to the Slave I.
"Now to go somewhere outside of known space in order to hide out for a while as the crime lords will definitely come after me for stealing from the dead Jabba...and I don't think I can avoid this mess considering... the collateral mess I just made."said Jaune as he looked at the dead Gammorreans, fellow bounty hunters, and droids he had to kill when they tried to stop him from leaving the palace with Jabba's fortune.
"This place is filled with the scum of the Galaxy, so some snitch probably saw me and will tell the other members of the Hut Empire what I did... best is lay low until I can find a way to avoid the assassins they will surely send after me... cuz I didn't just steal from the dead Jabba the Hutt... I stole from the Hut empire."said Jaune as he loaded everything he could into the Slave I
Once he took anything he deemed valuable and was sure that the Slave I was at max capacity did Jaune get into the pilot seat and take off as fast as he could, away from Tatooine.
"First I'll stop by a hideout Boba told me about to repair this armor. Then I'll make my way to unknown space to find a place to hide out until I can settle things with whoever takes Jabba's place."said Jaune, as he figured that was the best course of action considering what he had just done was no less than a death sentence.
Jabba was a dangerous intergalactic criminal with a lot of friends who will surely want payback and/or Jabba's fortune.
"Alright...now to get out of Hutt space as fast as possible!"said Jaune as he operated the Slave I to head into hyperspace!
Jaune already knew where he was going as he had to make a quick stop before he would have to go to unknown space to hide out.
'Boba told me about this secret hideout that I could visit in the off chance I needed to hide away from the powers that be...Now that he's gone there's no point and letting his armor go to waste as it's extremely useful...man... I can't believe Boba is gone...'thought Jaune as he noticed that a tear was falling down his face.
The young bounty Hunter quickly wiped the tear away with his hand.
"Allergies..."said Jaune, who didn't want to admit that he missed Boba, knowing he would never see the closest thing he had to a parent ever again...
All Jaune could do was look at the helmet that once belong to his predecessor as he made his way to Boba Fett's secret hideout, with the intention of fixing up the armor and gathering everything that would be necessary in order to survive where he was going.
To the unknown parts of the Galaxy!
Okay... so I was rewatching a lot of Star Wars and I got this idea after seeing a picture of Jaune next to Boba Fett...
I thought to myself, Jaune has been a Jedi in fanfiction as well as a Sith Lord... so why not make him a bounty hunter in the galaxy far far away!
Better yet, why not make him the apprentice/adopted son of the most badass bounty hunter in the galaxy!
Now I'm still deciding what Jaune should use besides every weapon Boba has at his arsenal.
If any of you have any suggestions I'll be happy to hear them out, so please leave a comment with your suggestion.
I'm still not sure if I'll keep this fanfiction around but let's see how the response is...
