Pokemon, creatures that inhabit every region of the planet, each species have their own looks, attacks and types but perhaps humans can develop abilities like pokemon. Quirks can be described as super powers, special abilities that are passed down through generations but maybe with slight differences. But what would happen if these 2 collided, find out in this story.
Izuku Midoriya also known as Deku by his many bullies is a green haired boy who was graced with the power of nothing also known as someone who is quirkless. Deku looks up to heroes with his favourite being All Might with his Machamp, together the 2 are a formidable force.
Deku wants to be a hero but due to his lack of power that dream is practically impossible. Also because he is quirkless his past best friend, Bakugo, bullies Deku relentlessly. One day, after another round of bullying by Bakugo, Deku decides to take another route on his walk home.
He walks through a tunnel, he barely notices his surroundings and not even the shaking manhole cover that is leaking with green goo. Suddenly, a being of pure sludge jumps out of the cover and lunges for the boy who only now has noticed the villain and therefore cannot react.
Just as Deku is about to be surrounded by the villain, the sludge monster erupts in flames with a fist that's on fire through its middle. Deku gets a closer look and sees it's a Machamp, the 4 armed behemoth lets out a roar, sounding like it's calling for someone.
Not even 5 seconds after, someone appears, a man just as buff as the Machamp and this is of course All Might. All Might yells his signature line "Never fear for I AM HERE" and jumps at the sludge villain and in 1 punch the being explodes. All Might bottles up the villain before asking if Deku is alright.
At the sight of his idol, Deku can do nothing but look on until asking for All Might's autograph. Deku pulls out his notebook and a pen and All Might laughs before agreeing and signing a whole page of the book. Deku looks down at the page before saying to All Might he has a question.
All might apologises but says he needs to leave, people to save and all. He turns around to jump away with Machamp but just as he does Deku jumps onto All Might's leg and goes flying along with the pair. All Might, Machamp and Deku land on a building and All Might scolds Deku but Deku says it's a really important question.
All might sighs and asks Deku what the question is and Deku asks if he can be a hero without a quirk. All Might ponders this question but he says that no he cannot be a hero, Deku looks heartbroken but asks why can't he rely on his pokemon. All Might says that he raised Machamp from an egg that was given to him by his master and they compliment each other. A pokemon alone cannot be a hero no matter how smart the trainer.
Deku looks dejected but then All Might realises he spent too long talking as smoke erupts from him. Deku is now confused but sees All Might is now a skinny, even skeletal husk of what he was before. Deku begins to say he's an imposter but All Might explains that after an injury on his side he can only be a hero for about 3 hours a day.
All Might tells Deku to take care and begins to limp away, Deku reaches out but can't think of anything as after a minute he also begins to walk down the building. Deku continues his walk home until he hears a yell and he runs to see what's happening. Deku sees the same sludge villain that attacked him early and it's trapped someone new, Bakugou.
Deku looks around and notices that the pros can't do anything and have ordered their pokemon to stand back. Deku, in a split second decision, rushes at the sludge villain to the hero's great protest. Deku begins to claw at the sludge until 2 things happen suddenly, Deku is grabbed by 4 arms and the sludge villain explodes again. Deku has yet again been saved by Machamp and All might.
Machamp puts Deku down and the pros begin to scold Deku while others praise Bakugou. Deku would then yet again begin his walk home and nearly gets to his house until he is stopped by All Might who immediately goes back into his skinny form and Machamp who walks up to All Might and Deku.
All Might would say sorry to Deku about what he said on the rooftop and that Deku has the makings of a hero. Deku would thank All Might but All Might isn't finished, he'd say to Deku that his quirk is named one for all and that it can be passed down, growing in strength each generation. Deku and even Machamp look confused and surprised.
Deku would of course accept the offer but he wouldn't get one for all right then, Deku would have to go through 10 months of training until the UA entrance exam. The next day Deku would meet All Might and Machamp on a beach covered in trash and Deku is told that his goal is to clean up all of the trash.
Deku would get started but of course his scrawny build isn't exactly made for this so he'd struggle in the beginning. All Might would supervise Deku's training alongside Machamp and after 10 months of training it's time for the exam. All Might would go down to the beach to find Deku has cleaned up the entire beach.
All Might would go up to Deku and the scene of Deku eating All Might's hair would go as it did in canon. Deku would run up to the UA building, his dream was about to begin this second, Deku then falls over and is caught by a brown haired girl using her quirk. The girl would apologise but she would run off before Deku could say anything.
As Deku walks in he notices a couple people already have pokemon, they most likely got them from their parents as it is legal to give a child pokemon at age 10 it's just not all people have them. Deku would enter the building before sitting down in a hall where he sees Present Mic and his Exploud.
Present Mic would begin to explain the rules when Exploud yells at a random boy talking to his friend. Present Mic would readjust his glasses before continuing his speech, he explains that there are many robots that give different amounts of points. There are 6 fields, 4 for people without pokemon and 2 for those with pokemon.
Everyone is given a different tag to show which area they will be in and Deku would nervously walk over to his area. He would see that same brown haired girl but before he can go up to her he is stopped by a blue haired boy. He is about to be scolded but then Present Mic yells asking everyone if they're ready before telling them to go.
Everyone runs off with Deku being 1 of the last to get to the robots, he sees people already destroying robots but he doesn't know what to do. Deku tries to run to a robot but it's pierced by a beam of blue light from a boy with blond hair. Deku is looking around for a free robot, he can't fail now after all that training and getting All Might's quirk. Deku then hears a metallic stomping noise.
Deku turns around to see a massive beast of a robot which Deku knows is a zero pointer from Present Mic's speech. Deku sees everyone running away from the robot and he prepares to do the same when he hears a cry in the direction of the robot. He turns to see that girl he talked to earlier trapped under some rubble as the bot approaches her.
Deku on instinct begins to run towards the robot to the shock of any contestant who hadn't gotten away yet. Deku doesn't know what he's going to do but then he feels energy building in his leg. He jumps and goes soaring to eye level with the zero pointer he then feels energy building in his arm so he punches forward and the wind created is enough to destroy the robot.
Deku begins to fall but just before he hits the ground the girl smacks him leaving him floating just above the ground. After a second or so Deku crumples to the ground as the timer for the end of the entrance exam buzzes. Deku is healed by a kiss by Recovery Girl as her Chansey gives him a couple checks just in case.
Deku is of course fine and he would then walk home, depressed since the only robot he destroyed was worth 0 points. Deku would be in a slump over the next couple days to the worry of his mother until eventually a letter would arrive. Deku's mother would nearly fall up the stairs trying to get the letter to her son.
Deku would rip open the letter but then a small disk would fall out of it which would confuse Deku until a video of All Might falls out of it. Deku would be surprised but then All Might begins to speak, he says that even though he technically didn't get any points from robots he got something else.
By saving the girl from the robot he showed that he can be a hero and that was worth 60 hero points. He would laugh before welcoming Deku to class 1-a in UA, Deku would tear up and begin to celebrate that he can finally achieve his dream
