A/N: I read my fanfic of Naruto and Fairy Tail crossover and I didn't like it, so I'm starting over again by Naruto just appearing in Earth Land by getting caught in one of Kaguya's dimensions. Enjoy.
But I do want Naruto to have a pretty hard life for the first half years of his life and he will be a bit distant because of that, hope you enjoy it, he'll also be a mixture of Minato and Kushina, so he wouldn't be the dead last of the class in the academy, maybe top 5.
He would not have his stupid crush on Sakura, and he still wouldn't notice Hinata's advances, he'd just think she was a weird shy person like in canon.
Chapter 1
All Naruto could remember was fighting Kaguya Otsutsuki in a lave terrain, luckily, he could fly due to his Sage of 6 paths mode (SO6PM) but was distracted from Sakura falling off the ledge that she and his sensei were standing on.
'Man, she can get in the way sometimes.' Naruto thought before sending a truth-seeking orb to save her, but he was engulfed in a portal and Kaguya smirked seeing that annoying mortal get sucked into her portal that led to a land void of chakra.
With Naruto
Naruto woke up with tattered clothes and had a look of panic. Naruto looked around the room he was in and was surprised when he saw a white room.
'A hospital?' The blonde shinobi thought while moving parts of his body to see if there was any further damage but there was none to worry about.
"Ugh, I hate humans!" An old female voice growled. Naruto looked to the origin of the voice and saw a tall pink-haired woman on a desk in the corner of the room.
"Umm, hello?" Naruto's raspy voice came to the ears of the pink haired woman who stepped out of her desk and left the room and not even a second later the same lady walked back in with a glass of water.
"Drink." Ordered the older woman who gave Naruto a water; he took it gratefully. Feeling relieved, Naruto looked at the woman in confusion.
"Is the war over doc?" Naruto asked calmly and the elder looked at him strangely.
"What are you talking about boy?" She asked confused and intrigued, it was Naruto's turn to look confused.
"The Fourth Great Shinobi War? Is it over?" Naruto asked again and the pinkette looked peeved.
"Boy, there has not been a war in over 400+ years." The pinkette explained skeptically as she gazed upon the blue eyed blonde. "Now tell me, who are you? And where are you from? The truth!" The older pinkette demanded and Naruto looked at her nervously.
"If what I think happened has happened, then I am not from this dimension." Naruto looked at her seriously. Porlyusica sensed the seriousness in his voice, and she sensed a headache coming from this boy.
Time skip – Seven years – Fairy Tail
The Fairy Tail guild wasn't as popular as it was seven years ago. That said, the few members that still stuck around were getting by just fine, mainly because of a new Fairy Tail recruit that was recommended from Porlyusica, of all people. She explained that this new recruit will bring back some of the fame Fairy Tail once had and he did what she said would which came as a surprise because he became an official member one year after the A and lower rank mage's left to Tenrou Island to become S rank mage's like the already S rank mage's that offered to Partake in the growth of the upcoming mages of Fairy Tail.
For some unknown reason, the S/A rank mages disappeared from the face of the map with no clue or idea of where their destination was. But because of this Fairy Tail rookie, Fairy Tail kept them in the Grand Magic Games and is still a capable guild in Earth land and in Fiore.
Because of the jobs he did, he earned the respect of the magic council and was rewarded with S rank. To the magic council's shock, the young walked out nonchalantly, they did comment on his disrespect, but the man responded with.
"Titles doesn't measure strength, it's the use of that power to protect that gives you true strength." This comment shocked and put the council in a state of fear. Most of the members asked one another. "Is what we have true strength or is it a facade to cover up our fears." The way that the man held himself, confidence, strength, headstrong, mentally stable and physically strong.
Naruto Namikaze was this man, he was portrayed as the Fairy King not only was he the fastest to reach S rank; 6 months. Naruto was feared over the country for his raw determination and stability, he defeated not one but two third generation dragon slayers that had full control over their dragon slayer magic.
Naruto defeated them because their teamwork and work ethic was poor compared to his, he would train day through night, night through day knowing that he could never return to his old home, that of the Elemental Nations and use that as motivation to get stronger. All he wanted to know was if his friends were safe and his adoptive mother or crazy old uncle; he hadn't visited his grave in seven years and he cried a lot on the last he figured out that he wouldn't get home.
So, through all that hate and pain, he told his partner who had his other back thankfully to push down those emotions that held him back. He was distant, cold; even freezing sometimes to his guild mates. Every time he entered the guild hall to pick up a job, the room would get quiet and cold; his presence alone instilled fear into his victims. But through all that pain and loneliness, there was still a flicker of shine and hope under all that hatred, he showed signs of hope when he would spare his victims but take a huge toll from them, mentally and physically.
Jet and Droy tried to get him to join the shadow gear, but Naruto replied with. "You wouldn't work with me ever." That was the only time they conversed and spoke about him. Reedus tried to cheer him up with a painting of Naruto smiling, he just said "You're an amazing painter." Naruto became colder and colder the harder the mission he came back from. One time he defeated a cave full of beasts that Erza would think twice about, but she did the same and brought back a souvenir but due to his reputation, the people were thankful and fearful of him at the same time.
Present day – Naruto POV
Naruto was sitting on a tree branch writing a novel, a passion he developed over the seven years was writing books and stories of all types: Action, horror, heartbreaking and continued the Icha Icha series. But through all those books he wrote and got money from, he never wrote a book about happiness, dreams or romance since his were taken away from The Rabbit Goddess: Kaguya Otsutsuki. He also didn't know what being happy was, the emotion was foreign to him; since he told his friend to lock away the only happiness he had and savor it for a moment. Kurama talked to him often, normally to break him out of his "emo faze" as Kurama put it.
Mindscape
Naruto was smacked to the ground by a very slightly panting Kurama.
"Come on kit, stop being emo and man up! You know you can't go back, look at you! Your whole personality is fucked up and it's because you don't let anyone in." Kurama ranted to Naruto who was on his hands and knees, sweating profusely.
"If no one gets close to me then no one will get hurt." Naruto replied panting, he had been fighting Kurama for months mentally and the ancient fox was winning easily.
"Bullshit! You're just afraid to endure more pain and sorrow. You need to learn how to forget and forgive. You taught me that, now listen to your own advice." Kurama said before shutting the cage door forcefully.
Outside of mindscape
Naruto sighed and sealed all his notes and equipment away in a storage scroll, so he decided to go and take a mission from the S rank mission board. Naruto walked into the guild hall, and everyone stopped what they were doing when Naruto stepped foot in the hall, he saw the looks of awareness and untrustworthiness on the remaining Fairy Tail guild members' faces.
Sighing before jumping onto the second floor specifically for S rank mages, Naruto found a bounty for 2,000,000 jewels on a man named Jellal Fernandes.
"I'm going to capture Jellal Fernanders." Naruto spoke to a young girl that was meant to tick off the mission he claimed.
"Okie dokie. I hope you come back soon Naruto-kun." The purple haired barmaid said cheerfully, and Naruto left without a second thought and forgot his hat, and everyone released a breath they didn't know they were holding when they saw the doors closing shut.
"Man, that guy gets colder and colder every day." Macao sighed in relief at the new/old Fairy Tail member.
Kinana looked at the members insulted at their jab to her friend Naruto. "I don't think it's very nice to talk about Naruto-kun when we know nothing about him!" That shut the people up and the door to Fairy Tail was busted off its hinges.
"Hey Fairy losers! Do you have our monthly payment?" A man holding a club on his back demanded and got a rambunctious laugh from his guildmates next door. They may be alright in the Grand Magic Wizard Games but financially they were poor as a rock.
"What are you and your lackies doing here Tibo?" Macao demanded and Tibo gave him a smirk.
"We're here for rent!" Fairy Tail had wide eyes at the nerve of Tibo and his guild.
"What are you talking about?! We already paid off our wages!" Wakaba spat back with anger lacing his voice.
"Did you, hmmm. I don't seem to remember." Tibo said sarcastically since he knew that they paid their rent for the pathetic excuse of a guild.
"Neither, I think we paid them, now they must pay us double." One of Tibo's friends butted in, and the rest laughed at the defeated look Fairy Tail had.
"Give us a month and you'll have double of what we paid you for." Macao choked out and Wakaba looked at his best friend angrily.
"What are you doing in Macao? Don't bow to these asswipes!" Wakaba protested and Macao gave him a stern glare.
"Stand. Down." He ordered and looked back at his proprietors for the time being. "Give us more time." Macao pleaded and Tibo grinned before bringing his foot up and throwing it to Macao's face who closed his eyes, but someone intercepted the kick. Tibo's kick was caught by someone's hand, looking up, Macao saw a man with a hat and thought it was Tibo but recognized the bells that hung loosely on the side.
"Naruto!" Macao exclaimed and the members of Fairy Tail looked at Naruto who was holding the offending leg with ease.
"H-hey punk, let me go!" Tibo yelled and Naruto lifted Tob's leg up, intentionally making him fall. "Get him, men!"
"Yes sir!" The crew of five shouted and ran at Naruto who weaved through and passed them all before ending in Tibo's face with a twitch of his lip as all the mages dropped to the floor with visible cuts on the back of their legs.
"Give us all your money now!" Naruto ordered and Tibo gave him 1,000,000 jewels, Macao and Wakaba were gonna stop him, but Kinana stopped them. "How much was the rent?" Naruto asked, he was meaning much was rent before raising the rent.
"2-2-2-20,000 j-jewe-l's." Tibo uttered and Naruto gave him that right amount.
"And that will be the payment for this month, next month, the month after that and so on. You get my drift?" Naruto asked and Tibo stammered out a yes. "Good." Naruto kicked Tibo out of the guild hall while throwing the rest away comically. "Now beat it!"
After kicking the intruders out, Naruto walked to the counter and placed the rest of the money on the wood countertop, shocking everyone. Naruto picked up his hat with two bells attached to the ends; reminiscent of the Akatsuki hat's. He then made his way to the entrance without a word to the guild mate's.
"N-Naruto, aren't you going to keep the money?" Macao asked with wide eyes when
Naruto shook his head negatively.
"I'll be off now, try not to spend all that money." Naruto said with a slight bit of sarcasm. He heard 10 thuds behind him, turning around swiftly he saw all the members of Fairy Tail bowing to him gratefully; He was stunned beyond belief.
"THANK YOU, NARUTO!" The Fairy Tail guild thanked Naruto, experiencing a foreign feeling.
'Kurama, what is this feeling?' Naruto asked his friend, but his question was reciprocated with an answer. "Raise your heads, I'm not one to bow too." Naruto said before leaving with use of the Body Flicker Technique that he was efficient within his world. The guild members looked stunned by the high level of speed that their fellow members had.
"Hell, you'd think that the guy never experienced gratitude or something." Wakaba said and Macao sighed tiredly.
"You might not be too far off there." Macao said his son Romeo came running into the guild hall when he saw the people that were harassing them for rent money and gradually raising the prices broke their door down again.
"Father, where are those bums?! I'll take 'em down, you understand!" Romeo yelled and Max butted in with a tired sigh.
"Sorry kid, Naruto already took 'em out." Max explained with Romeo visibly deflating from the information just given.
"Ngaw, that's totally boring!" Romeo sighed and took a seat at the counter.
Naruto
Naruto can be seen jumping from tree-to-tree as a way of transport, he was thinking of those feelings he was having back at the guild, but he pushed those thoughts aside and continued his quest. This Jellal Fernandes must've been a problem for the magic council since they gave Fairy Tail the job personally, mainly because this Erza Scarlet woman had a problem with him.
Naruto sent dozens upon dozens of clones to scout out the areas of Fiore, waited patiently for a clone to pop, and his eyes opened and looked at the poster before nodding. 'That was him alright.' Naruto said and disappeared in a move he created while in Earth Land.
Swift style: Flash Step
The technique is used to cover a ton of ground in a short moment. Naruto invented this technique when he tried learning his father's Flying Raijin jutsu. Naruto travelled to Era to capture this mage and get money to support his guild that was slowly falling apart.
Time skip – Era
Naruto arrived in Era with the intent to kill or capture; but he decided to capture since there was nothing saying he could kill. The Namikaze walked through the city with a specific house in mind. Walking up to a house, Naruto knocked. When he didn't get an answer, he kicked the door off its hinges and stepped inside, only to have to dodge a green ball that came to knock him out.
Naruto looked to see the culprit and saw a beautiful black hair woman with an equally pinkette standing behind her and Jellal groaning in pain behind them.
"I'm gonna have to take in that man for nearly reviving Zeref." Naruto said in a monotone voice as his hat shadowed his eyes with his face mask concealing his face to make him all the more intimidating.
"I'm sorry, but we cannot allow that to happen." Ultear said but the Naruto in front of her began disappearing in front of their eyes.
"Sorry, but I wasn't asking for permission." Naruto's voice came from behind both girls before knocking to their side with one powerful well-placed kick, walking over to Jellal; Naruto noticed that he didn't sense the malice or intent to kill coming from this man, all he sensed was regret and fear.
Naruto sighed for what felt like the hundredth time, he patted his shoulder of the dirt that accumulated itself on his shoulder. Naruto walked out of the house that held his victim. Ultear and Meredy were stunned.
"Wait! Why aren't you turning Jellal in?!" Meredy asked the tall man who sighed.
"I was told that he was full of malice and was only equipped for destruction. But the magic council was wrong." Naruto explained and took the path back to Magnolia.
"Ultear, who was that man?" Meredy asked uncertainly about the hat wearing mage, Ultear stepped forward.
"That is Naruto Namikaze: The Fairy King." Ultear said and Meredy's jaw hung loose.
"You mean the Fairy King?!" Meredy asked and Ultear nodded.
"He's by far one of the strangest men I've met." Ultear commented and Meredy looked at her master.
"Even more than the Salamander?"
"Even more than Hades." Ultear said and that shut the pinkette up as they walked back inside to heal a wounded Jellal.
With Naruto
Naruto opted to take a slower route back to Magnolia. There was a poof on his shoulder and Kurama gazed at his friend atop his shoulder.
"You didn't take him?" Kurama said and Naruto sighed.
"It's good to see you too. I spared him because I sensed regret and shame instead of malice." Naruto explained and hopped from tree branch-to-tree branch.
"What now?" Kurama asked and Naruto smiled faintly.
"I'm gonna make some friends." Naruto said and Kurama patted him on the shoulder.
"Good, look, I know what it's like to lose everything you lived for. You don't want to go down that path. Make friends, maybe get a girlfriend; I heard that Erza chick is an attractive human." Kurama claimed and Naruto chuckled for the first time in a long time just as he arrived back in Magnolia.
Naruto walked to the guild to see if those punks had tried anything while he was gone. Naruto made his way inside the guild only to see some unrecognizable faces. Just as he stepped inside the guild, the atmosphere dropped down to a cold blizzard. Naruto strutted to the front of the crowd and walked to the bar without paying the guild any mind.
"Kinana, can I have a bottle of sake?" Naruto asked and the purplette nodded cheerfully when he used her name instead of girl.
"Sure!" She exclaimed while going to get what he asked for. Kinana came back with two bottles of sake and a pint for him. "Here you go." Naruto gratefully took the alcohol and poured his pint. Remembering whose beer that was Cana Alberona stepped to the bar and tapped Naruto on the shoulder, but she got the chills from the one small touch.
"Hey pal, that booze belongs to me." Cana proclaimed and Naruto kept drinking unbothered. "Did you no-" Before she could say, Naruto stood from his stool and walked around her to exit the guild.
'This presence.' The returned Fairy Tail members shuttered at the cold aura he was giving off except a red-haired mage.
"Master-Macao, I'm going to visit Granny-Porlyusica." Naruto announced and walked out of the guild.
"Jet, Droy! Who was that guy?" Levy McGarden whispered in a cold shutter.
"That." Jet said and waited for Droy to finish his sentence but was too busy stuffing his face with food. "That's the f." Jet continued; this brought a gasp from the returned guildmates.
"What do you mean he's the Fairy King?" Makarov Dreyar asked authoritatively, and the other members cowered at their new instated master.
"He is known as the Fairy King because of his unwavering determination and how he protects the Fairy Tail name and its people from the outside." Wakaba said while taking a puff of his pipe, Macao continued for his best friend.
"His name is Naruto Namikaze, he arrived a year after you guys disappeared and became a Fairy Tail mage, 6 months after he joined; he was given the rank of S from the magic council because he destroyed 32 dark wizard guilds in a week." The Fairy Tail wizards were stunned.
"H-how?" Lucy Heartfillia asked, kinda scared of this ally that had.
"Porlyusica sent him here, she knows more about him than we do." Max said while flipping his hair out of the way.
"Porlyusica sent him aye." Makarov whispered and jumped to the second level for S rank mages to look at his children.
"I want this place cleaned up; I want repairs on the guild that looks like a farmhouse with a windmill on top. I'm going to visit Porlyusica-chan and Naruto-chan, make me proud by making this guild hall beautiful again." Makarov said before jumping down from his perch and exited the guild to visit his old friend.
"Hey, how strong is Naruto fella?" Natsu asked the speed user and he grinned.
"Because of him, we're in 7th place out of 24 magic guilds." Jet grinned, this brought a surprised gasp and a whistle from Gildarts Clive.
"WHAT?!" The mages that disappeared screamed and the rest of the guild laughed loudly.
"Yeah, up we couldn't advance because we always were eliminated first since we were the weakest guild." Natsu and Gray's eyes widen when they Droy says this.
"WHAT?! How could you let this happen?!" Natsu and Gray shouted while shaking the fourth guild master violently.
"Natsu and Gray, let him go." The red-haired armor mage said in a stern tone with her left eye glaring at the two. "Because of this Fairy King we were able to keep our spot for seven years." Erza Scarlet reasoned; in the back of Erza's mind, she saw the look in his eyes, the pain and loneliness in the empty abyss, for some reason she was drawn to him.
Naruto
Naruto was walking in the forest; he knew the forest like the back of his hand, it was the place he arrived at when he was transported to Earth Land. Naruto was thinking about what Kurama said.
"You need to learn how to forget and forgive. You taught me that, now listen to your own advice." Kurama's advice came into his mind.
'You know I can hear you right?' Kurama said in his container's mind.
"Yeah, I know." Was Namikaze's reply. He passed a big oak tree and saw his Granny-Porlyusica's treehouse and grew a small smile. Walking up to the giant tree with a walkway, Naruto knocked on the door several times, not getting an answer he knocked again, several times.
"What do you humans want?!" Porlyusica snapped while opening the door. "Oh, it's you." Porlyusica said uninterestedly but Naruto saw that she was amused that he had the nerve to visit her after all this time.
"Hey Granny, how've you been?" Naruto asked but was sent away when the door got shut in his face.
"Piss off, I don't like humans." Porlyusica spat through the door and Naruto smiled.
"You're still the same as always." Porlyusica heard and opened the door.
"You don't know anything about me!" She yelled but Naruto was nowhere to be seen. She heard coughing and looked down to see her old guildmate Makarov Dreyar.
"I think I know quite a lot about you." Makarov smiled warmly seeing his old teammate after all this time.
"Dreyar. You still look as old as ever." Porlyusica chuckled and Makarov looked indignant at the claim.
"I am as healthy as a horse, thank you very much." Porlyusica rolled her eyes and welcomed him into her home.
"So, what do you want? You don't look injured." The pinkette summarized and the fourth guild master turned serious.
"I want to know who and what Naruto Namikaze is." Makarov said seriously with an edge to his voice.
"Let me whip up some green tea... his origin dates to another dimension." Makarov's eyes widened at this revelation.
"Edolas?!" Makarov guessed but his pink haired friend shook her head.
"No... some place, much, much worse." Porlyusica said shakily.
Flashback – seven years ago – Porlyusica's tree
"Please explain." Porlyusica said in a demanding tone of voice.
"My world is The Elemental Nations. We were under a war that a power man concocted when he was on his deathbed." Naruto went forward to tell her everything that happened to his world. She listened to his tale thoroughly and didn't know if she should believe him.
"Why should I believe you?" The pinkette asked warily and Naruto smiled.
"I have a jutsu that I make so that people can see my memories. I call it Mind's Eye." Naruto grinned and Porlyusica rolled her eyes.
"Just show me your stupid world so we can figure out a way to send you back there." The pinkette said impatiently and Naruto grinned.
"Ok." Naruto stood from his bed, placed right hand on her temple with thumb extended to the middle of her forehead and his left arm, grasping her shoulder.
A/N: Same way Korra gave people their bending back.
"It'll hurt for a second when I remove my hands." Naruto explained and Porlyusica nodded a little nervously.
Naruto took a deep breath; he started conjuring up chakra through the chakra points in his arms to his brain, he was going to link her brain wave to his.
Mind's Eye
Naruto opened his eyelids to reveal white eyes.
Porlyusica was living in the perspective of Naruto, and she lived his whole life in nine seconds. Cancelling his jutsu, Naruto caught Porlyusica from falling, she clutched her head and looked at with saddened eyes.
"I'm sorry you had to go through all that boy." Porlyusica said saddened at the way he was treated from the villagers in his own home.
Flashback end – Present day
Porlyusica just finished what she had seen whilst in Naruto's body.
"Aye, that boy has been through a lot." Makarov said tiredly while taking off his guild hat.
"And he came to the realization that this world will forever be his resting place." The pink-haired woman said, and the short blonde sighed.
"Yes, I have." A voice came from the window, Dreyar and Porlyusica looked to the origin of the voice and saw Naruto sitting on the windowsill.
"I was 12 or maybe 13 when I got my first mission to rid a village of a tyrant, named Gato. He was held as one of the wealthiest businessmen in the Elemental Nations. Gato enslaved a local village called The Land of the Wave, he killed the town's hero to show that there was no such thing as heroes." Naruto began to regale his tale with Gato, Zabuza and Haku. Makarov got so engrossed that he asked Porlyusica if he could get some more tea.
"When Zabuza found he was betrayed by Gato he asked me to join him and rid Gato off the face of the earth. I killed him, but it took a toll on Zabuza just as much as getting my first kill. I buried Zabuza and Haku. Zabuza gifted his blade to me but I haven't used it yet. I want— no, I WILL use it to kill the goddess that destroyed my world." Naruto promised with his eyes turning red and his pupils becoming slits. Makarov shivered slightly at the power that imitated from this boy and cringed at the image coming into his mind of Naruto severing the head of a woman.
"Aye, you've been through a lot my boy. I am terribly sorry for the fall of your world." Makarov said apologetically and patted the young man but soon his grip tightened. "Still, if you are going to be in MY guild, then that means you can't kill no matter the costs." Makarov spoke firmly, entering his wizard saint mode. In turn Naruto glared at the old fool before shrugging his hand off his shoulder.
"I will get my revenge." Naruto said stubbornly and stood before marching to the door to the treehouse. "Even if that means I have to go through you… Master." Naruto turned around but Makarov's voice stopped him in his tracks.
"You need to learn how to forgive and forget." Makarov played the words of Kurama. Naruto scoffed while exiting Porlyusica's home.
"Sorry Makarov, but he's right. If Kaguya ever reaches this dimension, that means she could bring catastrophic damage to our world, our friends. She could even kill Acnologia just by shooting one of her All-Killing Ash Bones. That power shouldn't exist." Porlyusica explained to her old friend, Makarov sighed tiredly.
"Sorry old friend, but I stand firm with my belief of no-killing in Fairy Tail, even if the threat is as big as this Kaguya person." Makarov explained to his former teammate.
"You're an old fool Makarov, kindness will get you killed, and Jose wasn't a flook. She could probably rival or surpass Zeref..." Porlyusica warned and Makarov sweated slightly.
Back at Fairy Tail
Everyone was doing the complete opposite of what they were meant to do. Instead of rebuilding, they broke more. Instead of expanding the guild, they somehow made it smaller.
Erza was shaking in jealousy and also shaking Max. "No! How could you get married without me there?!" Erza asked with a hint of jealousy and anger at not being able to attend their wedding.
"Oh, don't worry Erza; Naruto didn't show up either. He was too busy with training and didn't want to attend." Max told her once she stopped shaking him. Erza's eyes narrowed.
"But we're a family? Why wouldn't he want to attend." Gray Fullbuster said.
"Well, we haven't really been this close to him you see. He was always distant, the only thing we know about him is that he's an author. But due to the reputation he holds, he doesn't put his real name on the cover of his novels." Macao said in a laid-back tone.
"Yeah, everyone buys his books! My favorite novel was Icha Icha: Make Out Tactics." Kinana held the mentioned book in her hand and Lucy wanted to speak with Naruto for some tips on her novel, but she then remembered the feeling Naruto gave off and thought secondly about her wants and needs for her novel.
'Maybe another time.' Lucy thought and Erza was quite interested in Naruto now, especially his books and why he wears a mask.
"Kinana, where do his books usually sell?" Erza asked while pointing at the book mentioned.
"Oh, they sell really good at the local bookstore, but you might want to read a little bit of the plot before you read his other stuff." Kinana said teasingly and people raised their eyebrows in curiosity and confusion.
"Why with the change of tone." Erza asked Kinana and the other members of the guild to snicker, each sporting a small blush on their face. Kinana passed the book to Erza and told her to read it.
"Read it." Kinana instructed and Erza did so, her eyebrows rising with each passing sentence and her blush intensifying.
"W-w-w-what a vulgar book!" Erza stammered out and the guild began laughing, through that laughter, Erza used it as a cover to hide the book in her pocket dimension for her requip magic, Mirajane and Kinana saw this and giggled together.
"In one of the author's notes Naruto said that this was his teacher's work before he passed away, and he wanted to continue his teacher's legacy of books by writing lots of different genres to the main story." Wakaba explained while blowing smoke out of his mouth. Hearing about his teacher made the heads of a few drops since they knew what the feeling of loss was.
"So, writing makes him feel closer to his mentor?" Gray said; he also had a similar quirk in the form of stripping for no reason.
"It seems so." Erza said and the temperature of the room dropped to freezing cold.
"Man, why's it so cold?!" Levy asked shudderingly, Jet and Droy hugged her from both sides.
"Don't worry Levy, we'll keep you warm." The speed and plant users said in unison before glaring at each other.
"I-I-I-I-I-I-I-it's him." Max's lips trembled from the cold proximity of the guild, the old guildmates looked to the door and watched Naruto walk in with trepidation in their eyes. Naruto saw the members of Fairy Tail shudder and he sighed, maybe he was being harsh by cooling the temperature and cancelled it, bringing the guild back to its normal temperature.
"Yo." Naruto said after taking his brown-greyish poncho off and placing it on one of the coat hangers to the left, he also discarded his weapons that littered his clothes. He took his hat off and the bandana that covered his hair. People were surprised when they saw he had sun kissed blonde hair and cerulean eyes.
"Hey, we were just talking about your books." Gray commented and Naruto looked at him strangely.
Naruto didn't know this fella so decided to comment on it. "Who the hell are you?" This brought a howl of laughter from Cana, Gildarts and Natsu. Gray stumbled a bit before pointing at him.
"I'm Gray Fullbuster! And you better not forget it you hear me!" Gray said loudly but was pointing at thin air.
"Kinana, can I have a bowl of ramen?" Naruto asked the purple-haired mage, she smiled and nodded, Wakaba and Macao joked about Naruto already forgetting him.
"Right on it, Naruto-kun." Kinana said and Naruto sighed, a poof went off next to him, it was a notebook and a pen. While he waited Naruto wrote in his book for the sequel of his own book; not a sequel to Icha Icha series. Coming back with his ramen, Kinana saw Naruto writing and got curious.
"What are you doing Naruto-kun?" Kinana asked and Naruto looked at her strangely.
"Why do you keep calling me that?" Naruto asked, referring to the 'kun' claim and a smile crept across Kinana's pretty face.
"Because I want to. Is there a problem?" Kinana asked sweetly.
'Too sweetly.' Naruto commented and shook his head negatively. "I'm just thinking about the plot to my first original novel." The Fairy Tail wizards looked curiously at the bar.
"So, a sequel to A Tale of the Utterly Gutsy Shinobi?" Macao asked next to him, Naruto shook his head.
"No, that wasn't my work." Naruto said and the guild members who knew him looked on in confusion.
"But you were mentioned in the story as the main character." Wakaba pushed on and Naruto gave him a stern look.
"I didn't write it. My mentor wrote it, and I was named after the main character." Naruto explained and the guild understood why he was so upset when Wakaba and Macao wouldn't let it go.
"Naruto! Fight me!" Natsu challenged before jumping towards the blonde who didn't pay the fire dragon slayer mage any mind. When Natsu was nearing Naruto, the blonde made a discreet hand sign and a Shadow Clone of Naruto blocked Natsu's charge; much to everyone's shock.
"Is that it? Max was much faster and stronger than you were." Naruto spoke from his seated position and the Naruto doppleganger kicked him away.
"As if, I was able to wipe the floor with Max!" Natsu scoffed, Naruto's Shadow Clone decided to speak for its boss.
"The boss is right; Max was much better than you were." Naruto's clone spoke and Max puffed his chest in pride at being complimented by Fairy Tail's Fairy King.
"But still beat him, nonetheless." The Shadow Clone snuffed out Max's pride with the snap of his fingers. "And you're none the wiser." The clone continued to rile Natsu up.
"Let's go outside! 1 on 1, if I win then I get that cool cloak thingy." Natsu proclaimed and Naruto rose from his seat.
"Alright, but if I win; I get to keep your cat." Naruto said and went to sell the deal more. "I'll also throw in a bonus, if you beat me then I'll teach you how to make a clone." Naruto offered so he won't back out.
"Natsu, I think you should think abou-" Happy tried saying but was cut off.
"LET'S DO THIS!" Natsu shouted and Naruto disappeared in a burst of speed and reappeared outside the guild hall.
"C'mon Natsu." Naruto challenges the dragon slayer.
"Hoo hoo yeah, now I'm fired up!" Natsu howled to the heavens and was about to start the match but was stopped by Erza. "Erza, what are you doing?!" Natsu asked childly and Erza brought her hand back.
"We would need a referee. So, I will act as such." Erza spoke with the utmost authority, flames came out of Natsu's mouth, and he grinned hastily.
"Yeah, now I've got a fire in my belly!" Natsu yelled and got into a running position.
"I too would like a battle between me and Naruto." Erza spoke with a smile on her beautiful face, Naruto stayed impassive with hands in his pockets. Bringing her arm up, Erza swiped it down. "BEGIN!" Erza began the fight.
Bettings were going down, the older members voted for Naruto, but the rest voted for Natsu except for Gajeel and the people who didn't like Natsu. They voted for him since they didn't know what magic Naruto used. They saw him make a clone, but that magic could be any type; maybe wind because of the smoke that came out of it.
Natsu blasted off from his spot and charged his foot at Naruto who sighed at the obvious hit. Natsu's foot was encased in fire.
Fire Dragon's Claw
The guild members watched on with anticipation as Natsu drew closer.
"Why isn't he dodging?" Lucy asked and Macao and the older guildmembers watched on with smirks on their faces.
"Just watch and see." Macao said and the rest turned back to the charging Natsu.
Just as Natsu's foot touched Naruto's face, Naruto opened his eyes and Natsu got knocked away and hit a tree.
"WHAT THE HECK!" Natsu shouted from his spot at the tree.
The spectators eyes were as wide as saucers except for the older guildmates.
"What was that?!" Lucy asked and Macao smirked.
"That Lucy is what he calls his frog strike." Wakaba said and the rest face faulted.
"Why Frogs?" Gray asked and Macao shrugged his shoulders.
"We don't know. Naruto said that you never see frogs attack even if they're right in front of you." Macao explained to the stunned crowd, but Gildarts narrowed his eyes and crossed his arms.
'I see, so he creates a diversion right before he strikes.' Gildarts summarized in his head while looking off to the left at a person standing by a tree.
~Play: Need to be strong - extended - Naruto Ost~
Naruto stood in a high guard boxing stance and watched Natsu draw closer with a fire fist.
Fire Dragon's Iron Fist
Naruto ducked under the hit and knocked Natsu off his feet before kicking him away.
"Is that it?" A voice asked in a bored manner; everyone looked to a tree and saw Naruto standing there with an unimpressed expression. The Naruto they were focusing on poofed out of existence. "Come at me with the intent to kill." Naruto said with a small smirk on his face.
"Now you're starting to piss me off!" Natsu growled and fire came out of his feet as a booster of some sort and rushed Naruto who did the same.
Naruto and Natsu rushed each other and met in the middle, Natsu threw a punch to Naruto's face who leaned back and went into a handspring and kicked Natsu's chin, intentionally pushing Natsu back into the broken tree.
Natsu came running out of the rubble and started throwing punches and kicks to the blonde who dodged every hit before pushing a small blue ball of energy into Natsu's chest.
Rasengan
Naruto said and watched Natsu spiral away with the ball still inside his chest. He heard a shout, and a huge aura of lightning and fire surrounded a person who stepped forward out of the bushes with a noticeable burn/bruise on his chest. Giving an angry shout Natsu disappeared before Naruto could react, he was kicked from behind.
Standing up from his sprawled position, Naruto entered his sage mode and stood in his frog kata stance. Natsu disappeared again but Naruto used his heightened reflexes and awareness. Naruto dodged Natsu's Fire Dragon Sword Horn and grabbed Natsu's legs before throwing him high in the air.
Natsu came barraging towards Naruto at fast speeds and Naruto threw a punch to Natsu's direction and a nature chakra heard his call and pushed Natsu further before Naruto swapped places with the flying Natsu using Substitution and swapped again with a lone tree branch behind Natsu.
Naruto held a Water style: Rasengan in his left hand and a Wind style: Rasengan in his right hand, he plunged them both into Natsu's back and watched him get blown away. Naruto hoped that the opposite elements would cancel Natsu's form.
Natsu came running out of the smoke without his form active and engulfed his hand in fire and made to punch Naruto, but he dodged the punch and punched Natsu away with incredible strength.
Natsu stood from his sitting position and performed a 360 kick to which Naruto dodged while kicking the leg Natsu was supposed to land on and watched as the mage fell.
He was too tired.
Natsu stepped back up and cupped his hands in front of his mouth before taking a deep breath.
Fire Dragon Roar
Natsu shot a huge stream of fire at the blonde. Naruto weaved a few hand signs and placed his hands on the ground and casted a jutsu in his mind.
Earth style: Mud wall
A thick wall of earth rose to protect Naruto from the stream of fire. Natsu used this opportunity to catch the blonde devil off guard when he came out of the smoke, the smoke on the left swayed indicating Natsu ran in that direction before a kunai with a small parachute connected to the finger hole.
Naruto came from the other side of the smoke screen. Naruto kicked Natsu onto the ground and knocked the pink mage out.
"Well that was boring." Naruto commented and looked at the red Titania. "So how about it Titania, you ready for our spar?" Naruto asked with a serious tone and Erza steeled herself and requip into her Clear heart armor.
"I'm ready." Erza said seriously and Naruto unsealed a giant sword in the shape of a khyber knife. "Are you sure you want to use that weapon?" Erza asked; fully confident in her skill in the sword arts. Naruto unsealed a chain and clipped it to the blade before throwing the blade in a random direction and discarded his vest and removed his sandals leaving him in a sleeveless mesh shirt with only black ninja pants, bandages around his legs and black arm bracelets; and still kept his mask on.
Naruto held his arm out. Erza was forced to backflip over Naruto's sword he threw, he caught the blade effortlessly while the chain wrapped around his right forearm, he positioned the blade on his shoulder and beckoned Erza to come closer for their spar that he would have to take seriously.

Ok, I finished this chapter in a day and a couple hours, I wasn't happy with how Naruto opened a portal. So, I thought Kaguya's portal sounded more natural.
How was the chapter? I read your reviews and was a bit surprised how you all didn't like the first chapter.
I'm not a professional writer or anything like that, but I'm happy with this starting point and I'm already working on the second chapter. But I have school tomorrow, so I won't be able to spend that much time on this fanfic.
