Gia let out a groan as Elijah held her protectively, even though they were at the compound, on the couch, sitting in front of the family. He had been protective of Gia all day more so then usually, it was weird to say the least. He wouldn't let anyone near her, one of the werewolves had a question for Gia and as soon as he was five feet away from her, Elijah threw him across the compound. The poor werewolf didn't even know any better.

"Any idea why he's acting like this?" Gia asked Freya who shrugged her shoulders

"No idea, usually I would expect this from Niklaus because of his werewolf side but I've never seen a vampire act like this." Freya answered with a sigh

"It doesn't help that he won't let us anywhere near you." Kol added on with a playful look, he was most likely going to tease Elijah

"Maybe you're pregnant." Rebekah suggested Elijah growled before burying his head in Gia's neck

"Don't think he likes that." Gia said sarcastically

"Gia, want to go out with me?" Kol asked with a mischievous look

"Kol, stop playing games." Gia said scolding Kol

"Oh come on!" Kol exclaimed before sitting next to Gia and pulling her away from Elijah putting his arm around her as he looked at Elijah with a smirk

Elijah didn't say anything he just looked at Kol dangerously before he started growling, veins came from under his eyes and his fangs came out, about five seconds later Elijah sped Kol away to the next room and from what it sounded like he was beating the shit out of Kol

"He deserves it, we all warned him." Rebekah said Klaus rolled his eyes before he sped off to break up the fight

"You don't actually think I'm pregnant, do you?" Gia asked with slight worry in her tone

"No, it was just a suggestion." Freya told Gia reassuringly

"Good, I am not ready to push a baby out of my vagina." Gia said with a sigh a few seconds later Elijah came in with blood all over his suit

"Where's Kol?" Gia asked Elijah rolled his eyes annoyed

Elijah just grabbed Gia and threw her over his shoulder before he walked out of the courtyard and to their bedroom.

Elijah threw Gia on the bed before he laid with her, burying his head in her neck and grabbed his arms around her waist. Gia rolled her eyes at the original's clinginess but she accepted the cuddles.

"Are you gonna tell me why you're being so damn protective?" Gia asked she got a growl In response making Gia let out a sigh

After a few minutes of just laying there in Elijah's arms Gia drifted off and fell asleep.

Gia woke up and realized it was the next day, with a groan she turned and didn't see Elijah there. She sat up and rubbed her eyes when she opened them. Elijah was coming out of the bathroom fixing his suit. His eyes landed on the brunette and smiled at her.

"Hey, handsome." Gia greeted raspily Elijah walked towards the bed and leaned over giving Gia a kiss on the lips

"My love." Elijah said Gia's eyes widened slightly he wasn't being all growly anymore

"Are you done with your whole protectiveness?" Gia asked with a raised eyebrow Elijah let out a chuckle

"I'm quite sure, yes." Elijah answered with a smirk

"Wanna tell me why you decided yesterday you wanted to be all alpha male with me?" Gia asked Elijah sat on the bed next to her

"It happens to me, the beast behind the red door comes out and shows dominance, protecting the women I love. I didn't expect it to come yesterday though." Elijah said with furrowed eyebrows

"Yea, you kicked Kol's ass." Gia said with a giggle

"Kol should have known better than to test me while I'm like that." Elijah told Gia as if he was defending himself

"You can't exactly say that. What about that werewolf that was simply asking me a question, you threw him across the compound." Gia reminded Elijah who shrugged his shoulders

"I didn't know him, he was too close." Elijah said nonchalantly Gia just laughed at him

"So when was the last time your beast came out to be all protective?" Gia asked before she laid back down

"It never has come out for that purpose." Elijah answered Gia looked at him with wide eyes

"Then why'd it come out yesterday?" Gia asked confused

"Because of you." Elijah said looking into Gia's brown eyes

"Me? Why me?" Gia asked raised an eyebrow

"Because I'm in love with you." Elijah said Gia's cheeks flushed and she smiled at the original

"I'm in love with you too." Gia told Elijah with a smile before Elijah pulled her into a passionate kiss

The two just stood like that for the rest of the day, talking, making jokes, sleeping and laughing with each other. They truly believed that they were soulmates, that they were meant for each other. And they were.
