Hello again dear readers,
Firstly, I would like to inform the obvious, I have replaced the original chapters because I felt unsatisfied with them and have decided to redo the story I wish to tell.
The story will start in year 6. To go along with that, I have bumped up the rating of the story to M. Does this mean lemons? Not sure yet. It does include descriptions of alcohol use, (partial) nudity and mentions of sex.
Considering this is a fanfiction I will take a few liberties, in general. I will ignore pretty much whatever overly stretched out story the game tells. Here Rowan dies in the fifth year, prompting the staff plus moody to crack down on the whole 'R' plot and hauled Rackpick's ass off to Azkaban along with the rest of 'R'. MC's parents are also normal if there is such a thing.
Cursed child and magic awakened are ignored for future chapters.
Another thing, I am going to use Hogwarts Legacy's version of Hogwarts as I feel it is more consistent (looking at you, square grand staircase in a round tower.)
In regard of quidditch. Considering it involves a lot of injuries, including to the head I could not help but notice a lack of protective headgear or helmets for the players other than the keeper and if you are curious, the helmet design is like Captain America's WW2 helmet but green with silver highlights.
The second thing was the brooms themselves, I figured resting your weight onto your crotch will get uncomfortable regardless of any spells. Hence that the brooms flatten and widen out a little at the crotch.
To go along with that, the controls for flying always seemed make-believe. Instead, here it will have pedals that control the direction and speed but perhaps it might come across as too mechanical and less magical – still, this is fanfiction.
Right pedal, pushing down (toes); forward
Right pedal, pushing up (heel); backwards.
Right pedal, twisting left or right; roll axis.
Left slot one:
Left pedal, pushing down (toes); pitch down
Left pedal, pushing up (heel); pitch up
Left slot two:
Left pedal, pushing down (toes); descend
Left pedal, pushing up (heel); ascend
Left slot three:
Two and three combined.
Left pedal, twisting left or right; yaw axis.
All slots
Dramatis Personae:
Connor Thatcher: Chaser and Captain – 6th year – 17 years old
Skye Parkin: Chaser – 6th year – 17 years old
Benjamin Rook: Chaser – 7th year – 18 years old
Kira Appletree: Seeker – 6th year – 17 years old
Burke Buck: Keeper – 6th year – 16 years old
Sam Fletcher: Beater – 6th year – 17 years old
Raven Wedlock: Beater – 6th year – 17 years old
Connor looked through the splits of the hatch, broom in one hand and his helmet the other. He felt a strong gush of wind and water through the splits, he did not mind. Their commute from the castle to the pitch had already soaked him and the team. Cursing silently at the rain, not that he would mind playing against Rath but he preferred to do so in more favourable weather, especially since this was a deciding game, Ravenclaw always was their main rival in Quidditch and this game decided if Slytherin was going to be first place. He knew they still had a match against Hufflepuff, Connor knew that the Badgers were fierce on the field, but they lost against Ravenclaw in November thus leaving this the deciding match.
"We could've changed in the tents, you know." said Skye somewhat annoyed.
"Better get wet now and get used to it than on the field. Now we are adjusted to the weather and they are not." Said Connor assumingly.
"Helmets on everyone!" Ordered Skye.
"Two minutes tops, get ready." Said Connor, putting on his helmet and clipping it secure. "Secure goggles."
He checked Skye's goggles, making sure they would not slip off the helmet. After doing so she did the same as the rest called out, they were done. Despite the wind and rain, they could still hear the crowds cheering in the pitch above. A mixture of both teams' mantra's, cheering and whooping. If they were not playing, he be part of that chorus, the excitement and anticipation always get away, let alone if the match began. Taking in a sharp breath he heard Raven's voice. "No speech Cap?"
"No speech this time Wedlock." Chuckled Connor, shaking his head. "You and Fletcher make sure those Bludgers are out of our way. Buck, nothing gets through our rings and Kira just focus on the snitch."
"Yes captain." Said they all simultaneously. "Skye, Benjamin and I will rack up some points for us."
With Connor having his word said, Connor put his broom between his legs, and the rest followed suit. Putting his right foot on the pedal, preparing to launch. Adjusting his gloves, he mentally prepped himself for the hatch to open. He heard the wood and metal creaking between the wind and rain as the hatch began to lift. Blinking, he adjusted for the new inlet of light and saw the rain-soaked grass waving along with the wind and he could not hear it, he saw the crowd cheering louder. He felt the exhilaration fill his body as he pushed down and accelerated, as he gained air he placed his left foot onto its pedal and moved it into the third slot. Pitching up and ascending, he soared off onto the field. He switched back to the first slot and saw the blue robes of the Ravenclaw team enter the field on the opposite side, with Rath at the lead. Even at the distance they were at, he could feel her sneering gaze on him and could not help but smirk in response. He could not blame her; he would feel the same way if Ravenclaw had swamped them last time.
They formed up in a simple 'V' formation and strafed the field, waving the crowd. Connor felt tempted to show off some moves when passing the Slytherin parts but refrained due to the weather. Nevertheless, he felt pride and encouragement as he heard their song.
"Connor gets the win
Get that Quaffle in the ring
Knock Rath in the bin
That's why we sing:
Swamp 'em Slytherin
Swamp 'em Slytherin!"
He could see Skye and the others sing along before returning to the centre of the field where Madam Hooch was waiting below. Despite the rain she seemed unwavering and maintained a sense of resolute as if it were a warm day in spring.
She skipped ahead with the formalities, knowing that both teams respected the rules and had no new players that needed a reminder. Not that they would hear her with all the wind, rain and crowd obscuring their hearing.
She tapped the trunk and as it opened, the Bludgers shot out and were followed by the snitch. In the corner of his eye Connor saw Kira's head snap to the snitch before it vanished in the rain. He could barely hear Murphy's explanation above the rain as he saw Hooch grab the Quaffle and sucked in a breath, gripping his broom ready to dart off in an instant. Hooch threw it in the air and as it began to drop.
"The Quaffle is released, and the game begins!" announced Murphy excited. Connor pushed his right pedal forward and shot forward. Grabbing hold of the Quaffle and twisting his right foot, he executed the sloth Grip Roll to avoid the opposite players hoping to snatch the Quaffle from him.
Free from opposing players from the front, Connor darted forward to the Ravenclaw rings. Despite the rain obscuring his vision he could see their keeper had taken up a defensive position near the rings. On his left he saw Benjamin forming up, signalling towards the far right. When he looked, he saw Rath lining up with a Bludger. He quickly waved in his direction, ordering him to break formation and head to the left flank.
Returning his gaze back to where Rath was, he saw her swing and, in that moment, he threw the Quaffle up slightly and punched it towards Benjamin. Seeing he caught it, Connor pressed the left pedal down and dived towards the ground, hearing the warble of a Bludger passing over his head.
Using his heel to push the pedal up, he Pulled up and he saw Benjamin passing the Quaffle to Skye who in turn punched it through the middle ring. He shouted in glee, but it was muted by the eruption of cheers and yells from the crowd.
"Skye takes the first score, ten points to Slytherin." Said Murphy.
Connor glanced a look at Rath who snarled at him, chuckling he pushed the left pedal back again and climbed back to altitude and signalled Skye and Benjamin to form up and fall back to their half. As they did, they circled their rings and waited for their move.
In the brief interplay he saw Raven and Sam blocking incoming Bludgers and taking pot shots at the opposing team, hoping to knock them off their brooms. Above that he saw Kira shot forward and coming to a halt. An idea sprung up in the back of his mind but save it for later.
In the distance he saw Rath signalling her team and saw them split up, the chaser holding the Quaffle on the right with Rath flanking her and on the right the two other chasers.
"Skye front, Benjamin get on her." Connor said, referring to the right players.
They shot out towards their positions and as they did Connor saw what could only be described as a foolish move on their part. Back in the distance he glimpsed the remaining Beater take a swing but not toward his team but to Rath.
In that moment he realised her plan, quickly signalling Sam to get to Skye's position but it was too late. He saw the Bludger heading to Rath who in turn swung the ball towards Skye. She had only a fraction of a second to notice, Connor watched as the Bludger struck the side of her helmet. Sending her nearly off her broom, he watched her pull up just before hitting the ground.
Turning his gaze back to Rath and more importantly the chaser, for in the moment Skye was hit, Benjamin was distracted for a second but long enough for them to breach their defensive line and take a shot. To his dismay, they scored as Buck narrowly missed it.
"Rose makes it equal, ten points for Ravenclaw!" Said Murphy.
Cursing under his breath as the Ravenclaw crowd erupted, he saw Skye and Sam regroup near him. The former having a visible crack in the helmet but other than that fine, still he had to make sure.
"You good?" Shouted Connor, trying to speak over the rain.
"Yeah, it was a glancing hit but a nasty one." Replied Skye. "If she weren't our opponent, I'd say it is a good move."
"They are not the only ones with new tactics." Said Benjamin. "What's our move?"
"They'll expect a tactic from us, but a simple charge will do." Said Connor, catching the Quaffle from Buck. "C'mon!"
He darted forward towards the left with Skye and Benjamin forming up, as the approached the middle they dove hard towards the ground and swinging to the right before pulling up, deftly avoiding incoming chasers attempting to knock the Quaffle out of his hands. Weaving between them, he nodded towards his two teammates to break formation and distract the others.
He saw Rath coordinating a defence and sending a Bludger his way, he saw Raven come up to his side and striking the ball towards an unsuspecting keeper. Connor almost had to laugh from the surprised look on his face as the Bludger connected with his abdomen, nearly unseating him but it was enough to prevent Connor form scoring, he tossed the Quaffle forwards to the lowest ring and as it passed through, he heard the crowd going wild and Murphy stating they had scored.
On his left he saw Raven and held his arm up, she sent him a smirk and gave him a high-five. Once again, they formed up with Skye and Benjamin and headed back to their rings. Raising his arms in celebration as they passed the Slytherin stands, gaining a loud applause but was drowned out by a loud crack as the sky lit up.
A clear indicator that the weather went from rain to storm, another element to take in and advantage of. Connor immediately ordered the rest to keep distance between one another in case of a bolt hitting a player.
As they turned around to face Ravenclaw he already saw them moving towards his side of the field. Before he could say anything, Skye was off, to the right and gaining altitude and preparing for a dive towards the lead chaser.
Connor and Benjamin followed suit, Benjamin covering the centre and Connor himself the left but went low instead. Coming back around behind their chasers he dove up to the left chaser and saw Skye diving to the right.
Pushing his right foot further down on the right pedal and twisting his left, he accelerated and connected with the male chaser, slamming him with all the force he had. It did not unseat him but knocked him out of formation, on the right Skye did the same leaving the sole chaser between them.
Connor moved closer and knocked the Quaffle out of the chasers' grip and right into the hands of Benjamin. A roar came from the stands as Benjamin dashed towards Ravenclaw's goals. Coming back around he could barely see Benjamin through the thickness of the rain, but a subsequent roar confirmed all he needed to know and was followed once again by their song that echoed through the stands.
"Benjamin scores, another ten points for Slytherin!"
"Swamp 'em Slytherin, Swamp 'em Slytherin!"
Taking the chance of the short respite he looked around for Kira, another clap of thunder and light allowed him to spot her near the teachers stand, still strafing and feinting her rival. Neither of them spotting the snitch so far.
"Form up and get ready." Connor said. "We've got a match to win."
Merula watched as Slytherin moved in for the goal, she saw Connor taking the lead and doing a barrel roll to avoid an incoming chaser and to her surprise, grabbed the pole and using it to drift a circle and throwing the Quaffle through the loop.
Through pure instinct and excitement, she jumped up along with her housemates as he scored, cheering his name as he flew by. It was almost two hours into the match and neither team spotted the snitch, they had a lead of 60 points and were swamping them, as if reading her thoughts, the crowd began their chorus, and she couldn't help but sing along.
Next to her where Ismelda, Barnaby and Liz, just as excited despite the weather. Merula blinked as a loud clap filled her ears and the sky lit up. She saw a fork of lightning striking a player, like the rest she gasped and watched helplessly as the broom left a trail of smoke as it soared to the ground.
"We have a Slytherin down on the field, hard to see but looks to be a chaser." Informed Murphy. "By the looks it seems it was Thatcher that went down."
Despite watching from a distance, she could almost hear the thump as the chaser hit the ground hard. Keeping her eyes locked on the downed player, she was not sure how many seconds passed but it felt like an eternity before Connor showed a sign of movement. letting out a sigh of relief Connor moved rolling over and pushing himself up as Hooch landed. Rising to his feet, Merula could now see he was covered from head to toe in mud.
"He sure looks like a swamp now." Said Barnaby.
She and her surrounding friends bust into laughter at Barnaby's remark. Wiping her face she swept her tears away, she cheered as Connor summoned his broom and gave a thumbs up, unable to help herself she along with the rest of the crowd went wild with applause before mounting his broom and flew off into the air, joining his teammates whom were still locked in a fierce battle.
The timing could not be better as she saw Ravenclaw making a push and from what Connor told her about Quidditch; a good push from the opponent meant all hand on deck. Just so she watched him disappear in the mishmash of players with the rain obscuring it even further. Despite not being on the team she knew how fast brooms were and had trouble keeping up were they were flying.
She had applied for try-outs this year and attended only a few try-outs, despite getting approval from most, the events that took place left little opportunity to attend further. It was not until she saw the players move from Slytherin's part to Ravenclaw's that she realised that the tides had shifted in their favour and Murphy had confirmed as much.
"Oh, a wonderful intercept by Benjamin." Said Murphy. "Looks like Leon from Ravenclaw has finally gotten a glimpse of the snitch and Kira has given chase."
With that all the attention shifted to the two seekers, Merula watched as the two darted across the field in a attempt to be the first to catch the snitch and end the match, considering the rain Merula wouldn't mind if Kira catch it swiftly as she did in the past but then again she usually scored Slytherin an easy victory in normal weather.
The battle that was unfolding before her showed nothing but determination from both players, each one eager to score a victory and with the hampering weather that victory would be even sweeter and would show incredible skill on the team's part.
"Thatcher scores thanks to the brilliant Parkin Pincer!" exclaimed Murphy. "Ten points to Slytherin!"
Merula cheered and jumped, causing the whole stand to shake from the excitement. In the midst of cheering, she had lost track of both seekers, looking around through field she saw a figure in the corner in her eye and before she could blink Kira sped past with only half a meter in between her and the crowd causing everyone to bend slightly backwards as Leon was hot on her tail.
Merula had a hard time tracking them and silently promised herself to bring a pair of Omnioculars next time. Then again, she hoped next time she would be out there instead of in the stands, the idea made her flinch reminding her of Khanna's passing past winter. It was almost 6 months, but the memory was just as fresh.
A loud ding snapped Merula out of her musing as she heard Murphy call out another goal for Slytherin. She jumped with the rest of her housemates but could not cheer, instead opting to clap along.
Despite the helmet, the rain still felt like rocks hitting against his skin as Connor darted forward. Readying himself for Benjamin's move that would setup a goal. He watched Parkin and Benjamin throwing the Quaffle back and forth to one another as he came in from the upper left, he glanced around to see if any Bludger came his way and move in.
Much to Ravenclaw's confusion, Benjamin threw the ball to Connor instead of Skye, catching them off guard and in the brief opening Connor threw all he had in his punch to the Quaffle. It sends the ball flying to the left ring, hitting the side but managed to ricochet inside the loop.
Signalling a regroup, he and the two other chasers fell back, and just so spotted Kira and Leon locked in a fierce battle across the field with Kira barely in the lead but notice one of Ravenclaws beaters line up a shot towards Kira. He tried to signal a warning but with the obscuring rain he was not sure if it came through.
He saw the Bludger soaring towards her, just so she took all of them by surprise by pulling her broom up and executing a barrel roll, missing the Bludger by a hair and sending it right into their own seeker, sending him flying off his broom.
"Nice dodge Kira!" shouted Connor knowing fully she could not possibly hear him.
To his astonishment, the surprises did not end there as Kira reached out and as she did hold out her hand in victory and before he knew it Connor heard Murphy over the speaker.
"Kira Appletree has caught the snitch and receives one hundred fifty points!"
Madam Hooch's whistle seemingly drowned out the rain, signalling the end of the match as the stands burst out in cheers with exception of Ravenclaw whom simply clapped in respect. Connor pushed his heel against the right pedal and eased his speed and along with Benjamin, Skye, Sam, and Raven formed up around Kira.
"Nice catch Appletree!" Shouted Sam.
"Well played, all of you." Added Connor.
"I agree Mr. Thatcher. A wonderful showcase of teamwork and skill, 10 points are awarded for all of you."
"I'd trade in my points for some better weather." Joked Benjamin, gaining a chuckle from all.
"If you want to change the weather you will have to find a different witch, Mr. Rook." Said madam Hooch.
Entering their designated changing room, Connor opened his locker and put his Comet inside before unclasping his helmet. Grabbing his wand, het etched a small thin line on the outside of the helmet next to other tally marks. The marking was one of many when he had grabbed the helmet it already had more than a dozen.
"How many does this make, captain?" asked Benjamin.
"Nineteen now." answered Connor. He had adopted the tradition from his predecessors. Each helmet had its own history, Burk had stitches etched on the front for he was usually on the receiving end of a Bludger, Kira had silver wings on the sides for her role as seeker. Fetcher a crosshair, Raven a white skull, and Benjamin a cobra.
Tossing his helmet and armour, followed by his robes, and tossing the mud-covered uniform in the laundry bin.
The changing room was split into two, one for each gender. Each end had a door, the back led to the showers and front was the entrance to the changing room. Connor moved to the back of the room where the showers were located. Opening the door, Connor entered the small communal room with a couple of faucets, mirrors and a couple of toilet stands.
At the end were two doorways that led to the two shower rooms, again separated for boys and girls, a simple curtain hung in the doorway that kept any eager boy or girl catching a glimpse.
Pushing the curtain aside and stepping inside, the room consisted of six showers on the left, hung on the opposite side were a rack for towel or clothes and a shelf for personal effects. The girl's shower had the same layout, allowing all seven and four reserve players if present to use the showers.
Connor gave a simple nod to Burk who occupied the second shower and the first shower for himself. Turning the handle and letting the water run across his body, Connor relaxed his body. He increased the temperature and felt the water burning his skin, but he knew it was only the sensation of burning. It was because he was cold to his bones, turning around and leaning against the wall Connor closed his eyes. He heard the curtain being pushed and the rest enter the showers, chatting amongst themselves as they walked by.
When he and Burke joined the team, he noticed Orion kept a certain distance between him and the rest of the team, taking the privilege of using the Prefects Bathroom instead of the communal showers. It did not take long for him and Skye having arguments and debates about strategy and tactics with Orion. Most of the team disliked his spiritual take, preferring actual training instead of balancing on brooms and were often the topic of gossip and critique in the showers.
Despite their differences and arguments, Orion felt that Connor should take up the mantel when he graduated, although Skye was a more senior player, she voted for him and after he had become captain for the team, he and Skye and the rest of the team revised the training regimen, more training and harder. They had also increased the skill needed to enter the team, before they had more than a dozen students applying for try-outs, everyone remembered his scolding of Marcus Flint how he was an arrogant, foul-playing dimwit and told him to get out of his sight.
Since that moment they got less than a handful attending the try-outs, he had gotten a reprimand from Snape but argued that he wanted the best of the best, saying that Terence Higgs and Adrian Pucey were showing much promise.
As Benjamin and Sam took the fourth and final showers, Connor increased the temperature slightly and let out a yawn. "What..." began Connor, hesitating. "What does the team think of the people who applied for try-outs?"
"Adrian and Terence are fine, like you said, they need practice and refinement." Answered Burke. "It's Snyde that I – we am concerned about."
"I figured as much." Sighed Connor.
"She's good, almost as good as she brags but there is concern that, you know. You and her…" Burke trailed off suggestively.
"We… aren't –" began Connor but Burke cut him off.
"Oh c'mon, Connor. Everyone can see you've got the hots for one another." exclaimed Sam, joining in. "Why else would you partner up with her on so many things?"
"Because—" started Connor before being cut off again, this time by Burke.
"Because you like her, and she you." stated Burke. "Just as how Skye and I like each other."
Connor remained silent, taking in Burke's words. He knew about his and Skye's relationship before the rest. Remembering how at the start of their relation, he noticed Burke staying behind when everyone had left the showers and once spotted Skye entering the male showers. He and the rest of the team had a good laugh after that, much to Skye's and Burke's chagrin. Now it was common and before any session the two couples agreed who got the showers, Skye and Burke or Sam and Raven.
"You know what cap? During the afterparty, take your shot." Said Benjamin. "Thank me later."
"I'll take it under advisement." Said Connor, a small grin tugging his lips.
"Speaking of afterparties, before we all get drunk, someone has to give a speech." Said Sam, looking at Connor, who dropped his grin.
"Fuck."
Merula sat down in the leather couch near the fireplace, carefully trying not to spill her drink as she took her seat, she wasn't overly concerned for her jeans getting stained but her getting her white blouse wet would mean some see through. Having switched so more casual and dry clothes, a simple black baggy pants and a white blouse.
The common room was packed with sixth- and seventh-year students, most of the younger members had already returned to their dormitories. It was not the best place for younger students when a Quidditch afterparty took place as it usually involved alcohol, along with other activities.
Every time they scored a victory, the house was holding a party to celebrate it. Other houses considered it arrogant or presumptuous, but they felt it was earned after a, usually hard-fought match. Sipping her drink, Merula tasted the bitter alcohol, letting it run across her tongue before swallowing the white liquor. She was already feeling the effects of her previous drinks, her walk to the couch was somewhat uneven and speech slurring a bit but enjoyable.
Sitting down next to her was a fellow sixth year named Sadie joined by Ismelda and Barnaby, each with their own drink. They chatted and shared their excitement but Merula found herself getting bored, she did not know how much time had passed but it felt that the team took longer than usual and the alcohol did not help in that regard, just so at that moment she could see the mingling students shift their attention to the door. Going along in the wave of excitement, Merula could not help but smile as she saw the team enter the common room.
"Someone seems happy to see the team." Said Sadie, flashing her a grin.
"Happy that the party can properly start." Replied Merula, silently thanking the alcohol for her smooth reply, rising with the rest to applaud and cheer on the team. She watched as the team was served shot glasses filled with Whiskey. She along with everyone cheered before they downed their glass.
"Another one bites the dust!"
It was followed by another round of cheers before they were drowned out by the loud music and dancing, if there was one thing, she could truly thank muggles for, it was their music. Finishing her own drink, she joined the rest with dancing. The drinks did not improve her skills but kept her from caring, especially when everyone else had the same thought. They just flowed and sung along with the beat of the song, Sadie and Ismelda formed a small group with her, equally bad dancers and intoxicated.
The next was a more upbeat as 99 luftballons played and they happily danced and sung along with chatting in between, Ismelda was joined by Barnaby who both broke off to themselves, grinding and rubbing their bodies against each other. Feeling a pang in her chest, she scanned the room, most students were in small groups, a few duo's like Ismelda and Barnaby danced together or were snogging in a corner. On the opposite side of the room she found what she was looking for and Sadie took notice.
"Just walk up to him and start dancing." Said Sadie almost in her ear.
"I'll need a drink first." Answered Merula, heading to the makeshift bar.
It was nothing more than a simple wooden table with glass tabs filled with various liquors and glasses, making a note to thank Kim for being a good source and means of acquiring booze, something everyone was ready to chip in for, be it a afterparty or birthday party. Beneath the table were various muggle beer crates. Grabbing a bottle and placing the cap on the edge of table, preparing to open it but stopped as a devious thought sprang up in her mind. Looking over to be certain, she grabbed another bottle and made her way through the dancing crowd.
Getting closer she heard Connor and Burke chatting, laughing, and dancing to the new song, the former turning to see her approach. She flashed him a smile and offered him the bottles, in recent years he like any boy got their growth spurt, making him almost a head taller.
"Care to help open them?" asked Merula, unable to hide the sultry tone.
"I sure can help." Said Connor, reaching for his trousers back pocket, taking out a metallic blue Zippo lighter and opened both bottles with relative ease, handing one of the bottles back.
"Cheers." They both said and clang their bottles before taking a swig.
Merula saw Burke walk up to Connor and whispered something in his ear she could not hear but noticed Connor reaction, grinning as Burke left them chuckling.
"What'd he say?" asked Merula.
"Nothing." Said Connor all to quickly, attempting to hide his grin.
"Right." Slurred Merula, taking a step closer until their bodies almost touched.
"He just gave me some advice." He said, his voice low as he leaned in closer to her ear. A soft mewl left her, feeling his warm breath made her entire body flush, taking a deep breath and bit her lip, she stood up on her toes to his ear, placing a hand on his chest.
"I hope it wasn't bad advice." Purred Merula, her lips brushing his neck, gasping silently as she felt his hand settle on her waist.
"No but I decided to listen this time." Said Connor, as the music moved to a song from a muggle musical movie they had watched in the summer. She felt Connor sway and turned around, her back against him, mirroring his moves and taking another swig from her bottle while her free hand reached up for his neck. Reasoning she, Connor, and everyone present were too drunk or busy to care for anyone noticing, she pressed against him.
Feeling Connor free hand grab hers and spun her around, laughing she faced him again, both singing and dancing along. In the corner of her eye she could make out Skye and Burke doing the same. Connor took a final swig from his bottle and put it on the table beside him, still pressed against him, she traced her fingers across his cheek before pulling it closer.
Connor let out a muffled sound as their lips connected, closing her eyes, and savouring the taste before pulling away slowly. Opening her eyes, she found his eyes staring back, full of lust and for the first time she could see the tiny brown part in his grey eyes.
Wrapping her arms around his neck, she felt his on her waist, holding her close. It was only a second before they continued, this time hungry short ones. Pushing him backwards, Connor took her hint and moved back to a corner beside one of the lake windows. Feeling his hands pull her close, fully pressed against him, she gasped a moan. Something Connor took advantage of by capturing her mouth and felt his tongue slip inside, probing around. Shock turned into excitement and desire by the new sensation, she copied him and felt her tongue battle and dance with his, earning a moan from him.
They pulled away, both gasping for air for a couple of second. Grinning and chuckling, she captured his lips again, each kiss leaving her hungrier for the next, as Connor moved from her lips to her chin, leaving one burning kiss after another as he moved on to her jaw, closer to neck. As he finally reached her neck, placing a kiss before sucking the spot. Merula let a moan leave her, whispering his name, not sure if she regretted or delighted it as he continued his onslaught of kisses. Planting a kiss on his neck herself, moving up to his jaw, she scraped her teeth along it before softly biting.
"Did you just bite me?" asked Connor, his voice hoarse. Her response another bite, this time his neck.
She felt his hand tilt her chin up, his thumb playing on her lower lip. Taking the chance, she took the thumb between her front teeth, biting softly as neither broke eye contact. She felt him shudder as she ran her fingers across his chest, leaning forward she captured his mouth for a deep kiss, as they broke the kiss, leaving her panting. Connor thankfully allowed them both to catch their breath, giggling as she felt his fingers trace her side, causing him to chuckle and tickle her harder.
Her cries for mercy fell on deaf ears until he finally stopped, before she knew it, his lips were on her neck. Her eyes fluttering as she felt him suck her skin and let her fingers rake the back of his neck, gaining an approving sound from him. His hands trailing over her body, enticing her body. The forced him away from her neck and towards her lips, his tongue demanding entrance. Shuddering as she let him, she let out a moan as she felt his hands caress her ass. Connor paused, breaking the kiss. She almost melted from the look on his face, uncertainty was replaced with assurance as she kissed his lips.
"I think we've reached the point where you're allowed to grab my ass." Said Merula, between kisses. Connor blushed before returning the kiss, encouraged she felt him squeeze, taking his hand she guided him.
"Like this?" whispered Connor, giving it a try. Merula moaned out a yes, giving his jawline a nip only encouraged him.
She tensed up as she felt his hand dip further to her centre, him retracting did not help it, sending shivers down her spine. Seeing her reaction, Connor repeated his movement. She pulled him closer, causing his hand to deep even further, stroking her slit. Rolling her hips against his crotch she felt it straining against his pants. As she moved her hands to the bulge, his hand stopped her as he nipped her lobe. "Not yet."
Her muffled complaints were silenced as Connor captured her mouth again and she eagerly allowed him to enter. Their tongues danced until a need for air stopped them, catching her breath, Merula turned around and relaxed her body against his. Wrapping her free arm around his neck while his found its way on her thigh.
The other appeared him her vision, holding a small rectangle package. Taking his offer and taking a cigarette out as Connor did the same, arching her head back closer to his jawline. "Mind lighting mine?"
"For you, anytime." Connor hummed as he pulled out his zippo and lit their cigarettes. Taking a drag, Merula unclasped herself from the warm embrace. Walking to the bar and placing the empty beer bottle on the table.
"What can I get you?" Kim's voice was barely coming over the music as he danced behind the counter.
"Some cola with Amaretto."
"Make that two." Connor's voice said as she felt his hand ghost her back before fading. Looking over her shoulder, she saw him settle in one of the leather chairs near the hearth and talked with Fletcher and Raven next to him on the couch.
"Here you go." Kim's voice drew her back to the table, putting the cigarette between her lips she took the two glasses in her hand and sauntered over to Connor's chair. Sliding into his lap and handing him his drink, taking another drag from her cigarette as their hands slid around each other. As the embers neared the filter, Merula squashed the bud against the cold wall and flicked it away before turning around flush against Connor. Reaching up for another kiss, he leaned down to accept her demand. Feeling her teeth scrape his lower lip and her hand took hold his shirt, pulling him along to the door leading to the dormitories. "C'mon captain."
