A/N - Sooo...haha I feel like Author Notes are important now. Even though I have no idea what to write. You see, at work today I usually entertain myself by writing these as I wash dishes, but I tend to forget. Anyway, you're not here to listen to me ramble. I just wanted to say...YAY! haha. You'll find out soon enough :D Read and Review, x Me. P.S. Skype is awesome. People should get Skype. :D

I was in the kitchen the next morning when the doorbell rang. Charlie had left for work early, as usual, and Bella was running around upstairs again. Curious as to who would be visiting at this hour, I shoved another spoonful of cereal in my mouth before going to open the door.

I gulped when I opened the front door.

"Bella," I yelled out. "There's a Cullen on our doorstep!"

I heard Bella mutter something in reply from upstairs, watching Edward as he smirked. I stood in the doorway, arms folded and eyebrows raised.

"You know, Edward, you can come stalk me at my house all you want, but I'm just not that into you," I said coolly. Edward laughed. "I'm actually here for Bella," he replied, pointing his hand in the direction of Bella's voice, a tan jacket slung over his arm. I raised my eyebrows even further. Peering around his frame, I noticed that the Volvo was empty.

"Not chauffeuring the kids to school this morning?" I asked sarcastically. It was Edward's turn to raise his eyebrows, but he didn't say anything. We stood there for a moment, me glaring at him.

"Are you going to invite me in?" Edward asked, breaking the silence. I snorted. "Hardly." I heard Bella thundering down the stairs. "I'm ready," she breathed, coming to stop by me.

"Let me just get my bag. I shotgun back seat!" I squealed with fake enthusiasm.

"Um, Ally?" Bella began to say something. I turned to her. "Edward and I are…" she trailed off. "Going to school together. Alone," Edward finished. He had his arms folded, and that same arrogant smirk plastered across his face.

I laughed. "Well, duh, I knew that. I was only joking." I rolled my eyes for more effect, trying not to show my disappointment. Damn, I thought. I was really hoping to get in that Volvo. And now it meant I had to find my own keys.

"I'll see you at school, okay?" Bella looked at me, concern on her face. I wasn't about to let her see that she had wounded my pride, so I smiled back cheerfully. "Of course. You guys have fun. I better get my stuff together, or I'll be late." With that, I turned on my heel, closing the door behind me.

Inside, I felt like screaming as the Volvo drove off. Bella had ditched me for Cullen, and I could not find my keys anywhere. I stomped up to my room, cussing out loud as I picked up my scattered files and books on the way. I was going to be late.

As I stood in my room, muttering about my old ways and detention slips, something hit me on the back of my head. Turning around, I saw my keys with the small disco ball keychain lying at my feet.

I bent down to pick them up. "That hurt," I complained. "And you could have just handed them over," I grumbled as I raced back downstairs. The clock on the kitchen wall read ten to nine, and I praised God that it was only a ten minute drive to Forks High.

Bella or no Bella, I was glad to be sitting back in my Peugeot, the quiet hum of the car's engine more soothing than the loud wheezing Bella's truck made. Plus I had control over the radio, and I blasted a song through my iPod jack as I tore down the street.

At school, the car park was almost full, and I found a spot right at the back, the furthest away from the school. As I pulled into the parking bay, two girls from one of my classes last year was hopping out of her small Fiat. "Hey Ally!" one of the girls, Melissa called out.

I waved a brief hello, making my excuses as I darted to English, making it just as Mr. Bell started closing the door. "You're late Ally," he said sternly. "I know, I know," I muttered, sliding into my seat in the back. As I pulled out my notebook and copy of Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew, I sent my gaze down to the front of the classroom, wishing my glare was like a death razor on Edward Cullen's head.

Lunch time was worse. I forced to sit inside again, rain making my usual spot a small pond, and the basketball was holding practice in the gym. I eventually found a table, sitting down the far end. On the other side, a girl that had come to Forks just before my arrival sat reading a book and eating a salami sandwich. I pulled out my own book and lunch, only to be distracted after seeing Edward Cullen and Bella looking extremely cozy on the other side of the cafeteria. Groaning inwardly, I switched into the seat opposite me.

Only now could I eat my lunch without feeling the need to be sick.

I didn't have a shift at the library until Friday, so as soon as the final bell went, I made the dash to my car, only stopping when one of the seniors flagged me down in the parking lot to admire the bright red BMW M3. The one that belonged to Rosalie Hale. Rolling my eyes, I made my excuses.

For people wanting to be inconspicuous, the Cullens were everywhere.

By the time I arrived home, it had stopped raining. I pulled the Peugeot into the driveway, not giving a second glance to the silver car that I had parked beside.

It was quiet inside, and even quieter inside my cold room. I flopped down on the bed, reading a piece of paper that had been left on my pillow. How I hated Tuesdays.

I pulled a couple of notebooks onto the bed, deciding to finish whatever homework I had before he came back from the Peninsula. I was halfway through my algebra when I heard a soft knock on my door.

"Yes?" I called out. Bella's head poked round the door. "Can we talk?"

"Sure," I said, sitting up and dumping my algebra book on the floor gladly. Bella sat down on the end of the bed, legs crossed.

"You know how we had planned to go to Seattle this weekend?" Bella started. I nodded – I had forgotten about the trip ever since the Board had decided to give our pathetic library a grant. "Well…do you mind if I take a rain check?"

I raised my eyebrows. I really didn't care about going to Seattle anymore, but this intrigued me. "Why? Do you have other plans?" I knew what those other plans would be too, but I didn't say anything.

"Um, well, Edward and I want to do something. Not Seattle, but…" She used her hands to speak for the words she couldn't find.

I nodded slowly. "Fine," I said, keeping my voice from showing my happiness. It meant I could do something I've been meaning to do for a long time. Having Bella in the house was fun, but sometimes it restricted doing…other things.

Bella stared at me. "You mean, you don't mind?" she asked. I shook my head. "Nope." Bella slid off the bed. "Thanks Ally," she smiled. That smile held everything she had wanted to say, from the apology of leaving me this morning to not going to Seattle. And for once, I didn't feel upset or cross about it.

"Bella?" I called out as she left. She turned in the doorway. "Just be careful, okay?"

The weekend was almost here. After finishing work, I had stopped at the video store to stock up on some Supernatural. When I turned into our street though, there was one extra car in the driveway. It wasn't Edward's, I was sure of that. I had passed him two streets down, his face concentrating hard on the road and unreadable.

Inside, Billy Black and Charlie were watching a game while Bella was talking to Jacob as she started grilling sandwiches.

"Hey Jake," I said, playfully punching him on the arm. "Still growing I see." "Hi Ally," Jacob said, grinning. Despite my lack of…tolerance for Jacob, he had this incredible enthusiasm that wasn't very hard to catch. "So how's the car coming along then?" I asked, sitting on the table. My feet grazed the ground as I swung them in front of me.

"I was just telling Bella about it," Jake said, grinning at Bella. "I haven't found the parts I need, but Bells said she'd keep a lookout for me."

Ugh. It was enough to make anyone feel sick, the way Jake was clinging to Bella. I wait until he finally went and sat down my Charlie before talking to Bella.

"So I saw Edward driving away from here. Awkward," I sang softly. Bella looked up from the grill. "What do you mean?" she asked. I almost laughed. She was trying to make it look like she had no idea what I was talking about, but it wasn't working quite the way she planned.

I leaned in to Bella. Time to let the fish bite. "Everyone knows that the Quileutes don't like the Cullens on their land," I whispered. "So it would have been awkward, what with Billy being here."

Bella just nodded. I could almost hear her brain sighing with relief, thinking that I was just going off gossip I'd heard.

"Anyway," I sighed, sliding off the table. "I am going to bed. Are we still going to Seattle tomorrow?" I was playing along with Bella at her request. Bella turned to dish up the grilled sandwiches. "You know what? I think I'll leave Seattle for now. I have lots of homework to catch up on, and I need to do my laundry."

Charlie's head turned our way, as predicted. "You're not going to Seattle, girls?" I wrinkled my nose. "Nah, we're going to skip it this time," I said. Charlie frowned. "Are you going to the dance then Bella?" I laughed, Bella glaring at me. "No Dad, I'm not," she said.

I made my way upstairs as Bella discussed her plans for tomorrow with Charlie. I wasn't bothered anymore that she was spending the day with Cullen and not doing laundry.

I was more excited about what the day would hold for me.
