Rin Tohsaka ran as fast as she could, trying to stay out of sight of the Einzbern Master to avoid being attacked by her familiars, the sound of battle echoing in the night. She and Shirou had been separated after Berserker's attack on Saber, while Archer kept his distance and used his bow and arrows to distract the mad Servant.
Rin trusted both Heroes to keep the giant monster at bay, but if she was honest with herself, she doubted they would be enough to actually kill him.
Ducking into a bush, she took a moment to breath and think. Her enemy was treating this as a game, walking towards her instead of running, meaning she was either too arrogant, or confident in her ability to catch her, and considering her flying familiars, it was probably the later. She didn't know what kind of tracking abilities those things had, so she had to play safe and not risk her position away. But deep in her mind, behind the Magus thoughts, she was worried about her possible ally, Emiya Shirou.
Where the hell was he?
Illyasviel had called him "brother", but he didn't even knew about the War, so unless he was lying to her (which she hoped he wasn't) they couldn't possibly be related, right?
But Illyasviel had made it clear that she wanted to kill him, so why was she chasing her instead? To kill her, obviously, but why go for her instead of the boy she had already threatened before?
Unless she had lost him as well.
CRACK
The training with the fake priest kicked in, and she moved to the left to avoid an attack coming from behind her.
Raising up her arm, she used a Gandr curse against her enemy, who slashed through it with the blade in their hand.
Moving again, she dodge another attack from behind her, this time from the bird familiar of the Einzbern, Illyaviel spoke, letting her know that she had found her.
"Well, well, finally tired of hiding, Tohsaka Rin?" Illyasviel's tone was mocking.
Her familiars were flying quietly above her
"And you have a new friend too! Do you mind introducing him?"
Rin looked at her with confusion and a bit of anger.
"I thought he was with you" she spat, to the surprise of her enemy.
Illyasviel's familiars moved quickly. protecting her from a quick slash from the new enemy, and forcing him a few meters away from them. Finally out of the shadows, their enemy's appearance was revealed.
He had black armor covering his chest and parts of his arms, a hornet helmet with shining cyan eyes, the same color expanding to the suit beneath the armor and conecting to his legs, which were covered in silver boots. He was wearing a belt, with a small symbol with what appeared to be two faces in it.
He was holding a weird sword in his hand, with a reversed grip, almost like a tonfa.
The armored man watched them silently, as if judging their actions.
Illyasviel looked at him with a raised eyebrow
"Is this what they call a Halloween disguise? I'm sorry mister, but it seems you're a few months too early for that" she mocked, while using her hair to summon more of her familiars.
The man answered by raising his blade and running towards them.
Rin shot more Gandrs at him, but his blade cut through them.
The familiars attacked, but his blade cut through them.
Rin ducked, avoiding a slash directed at her neck, and used her new position to attack his legs with a reinforced kick, only for the man to jump, avoiding her kick and answering with his own, trying to crush her head.
She rolled to her right, avoiding the blow.
The man looked at her, tilting his head to his sid, as if curious at what happened.
An attack caught him by surprise, caused by Illyasviel's familars, forcing him to look at the small magus.
"I do not like being ignored, you know? Are you going to introduce yourself, or do i have to rip off that mask from your corpse?" the small girl was growing impatient.
First, Archer and Saber damaged her Berserker, then she lost her brother, and now this man was making her lose her time.
Illyasviel did not like when her plans failed, so she wasn't in the mood to play the innocent little girl anymore.
The man ran towards her, surprising her with his speed, only to block a crimson arrow directed at his head with his sword.
Archer arrived at the side of his Master, a bit annoyed that his shot failed, looking straight at their new enemy.
He frowned
There was something about this new guy that set him on edge, a cold feeling spreading trough his chest.
The figure was….. familar, as if he had seen him before, but where? His memories were still a bit scrambled after his summoning, but as far as he knew, this was the first time he met him.
Summoning his twin blades, he prepared himself.
His enemy raised his sword.
The wind blew.
And a second later, the Servant and his enemy crossed blades.
Compared to Lancer, this new enemy was slower.
However…
That didn't stop Archer from taking him seriously from the start.
His strength was nowhere near Berserker's level, but that didn't stop Archer from worrying.
The blows coming from his enemy were precise, yet brutal.
He wasn't just trying to kill him, Archer surmised, he was trying to behead him, that much was obvious, but his enemy also wanted to make him suffer.
He wanted to kill him slowly.
Archer blocked his attack with Kanshou, and used Bakuya to strike at his enemy.
In response, his enemy kicked his chest, forcing Archer to jump back and creating distance between the two of them.
Their fight was interrupted by a deafening roar coming from Berserker, directing their gaze towards the giant falling from the sky, followed by Saber, who jumped at Archer's position.
When Archer looked at his enemy again, he was gone.
What?! How did he-
Archer got closer to his Master, preparing himself for a surprise attack.
But nothing happened.
The small battlefield was silent for a full minute, before Illyasviel spoke.
"It seems our new friend is gone now, how boring, i wanted my Berserker to crush him"
The Einzbern pouted.
"It doesn't matter, that man was obviously a Servant, so we might fight again soon enough"
She looked at her enemies.
"But for now, i have to say goodbye, i am a little late for dinner you see, and i don't think i have more time to waste trying to find my brother" The Magus turned arround and started walking away, followed by her Servant.
"If you do find my brother, Tohsaka Rin, please tell him to not be such a coward next time".
The white haired girl disappeared into the forest, being watched closely by Saber and Archer.
"Rin", spoke Saber worried, "Where is Shirou? Is he okay?"
"We got separated after your fight began, he should still be on the forest, or maybe he ran to his house" The girl was still thinking of her enemy, looking around her.
"If that masked man is still here, we need to find Shirou quickly"
Archer disagreed, but he kept that to himself.
The fool was probably dead by now.
Deep in the forest
The masked man appeared from a cloud of shadows, away from his enemies.
His hand went to his belt, touching the symbol.
His armor disappeared in a cyan spark, revealing the red haired Master of the war.
His belt and weapon disappeared in a similar fashion.
The black tattoos on his body slowly receeded into his Command Seals, leaving them a dark crimson.
Shirou Emiya looked around him confused, not knowing when he ran so deep into the forest after Tohsaka told him to run, and despite his instincts telling him he had to help Saber, the little girl started chasing them down, forcing both him and his friend to run and hide.
He winced, his arms felt bruised, like the time he tried to lift something too heavy for him and the muscles in his left arm screamed at him for being so dumb.
Wait…
TOHSAKA!
He ignored the receeding pain in his arms (it was disappearing quickly, he noted, so maybe it wasn't so serious after all) and started running towards the lights of the city.
What if something happened to Tohsaka while he was idling around?
He had to find her quickly.
Hello everyone!
First of all, i want to say thanks for reading this story, it seems obvious, but English isn't my first language, so if you find any mistake, please tell me so i can avoid it in the future.
Second, i also want to thank the user Fury Cutter here on FF, for inspiring me to write my own story.
If you haven't read his story Journey through the Kaleidoscope, that is also a FSN/Kamen Rider Crossover, i highly recommend checking it out!
This story came from my invasive 3 AM thoughts yesterday, after finishing the recent episode of Geats and watching Henshin videos on YT, i read Fury's story (again) and, well, this came out of my sleep deprived mind.
You may notice how basic the """""fight""""" scenes were, and that's because this is the first time i try to write one (or a story, too)
I don't think i'm experienced enough to write this as a full story, so my plan is to write it as connected one shots during different stages of the war.
A bit of a backstory i planned:
Around the time Shirou met Sakura, George Karizaki, who worked with Kerry during the last stage of the 4th War to stop a certain demon, approaches a young Shirou, offering him a prototype Belt, the Two Sidriver, to deal with spirits around the city.
Shirou, hoping to know more about Kerry and save people, accepts, and becomes Kamen Rider Live, not knowing that said spirits are actually the people who died during the fire.
This, however, causes the awakening of Angry Manjew, or better said, a small portion of his essence who entered Shirou's body.
(This would be the reason why Shirou can see spirits, and why the people who died in the fire became corrupted spirits in the first place)
Angra, existing inside of Shirou, unable to corrupt him due to Avalon, becomes Evil, with Shirou being unaware of this happening.
Being just a portion of the original with barely anything close to a conciousness, Evil is attracted to people with large quantities of dark emotions, or large mana vessels.
And guess who has both of those things, and has been visiting Shirou's house at a daily basis for a while?
Basically, Angra feeds off of Sakura's emotions and mana (being a spirit), which is what stops him from possessing Shirou and going to the other sources in the city.
That's all i got so far, most of the plot would be Shirou dealing with Angra's fuckery, Saber and Rin not trusting him (due to him transforming into Live with a similar belt to "The Masked Man") and Archer slowly discovering what's happening becoming more aggresive towards Shirou, with George being the only person he can trust enough to talk about the war, with the last stretch of the story being Live vs Evil, destroying Angra, destroying the driver, and becoming a new Rider at the end, choosing to stay in Fuyuki to protect Sakura and the city from wandering spirits attracted to them as Demons, instead of going to London with Rin.
Why Demons? Because he has the coolest design in Revice, fight me.
Who knows? Maybe a few years into the future he meets a certain young man who also wants peace for everyone, who is also involved in a secret competition between players (Masters) and has to deal with a shady Game master.
Note that, due to how the Nasuverse and the Riderverse treat their spirits/Demons so differently, i will lean towards the more simple version, that being the Riderverse.
That would be all, again, thanks for reading this story!
