I am spending the next few hours wandering around the garden, trying to figure out why I am suddenly a chao. On a side note, I am also curious as to why none of the other chao are wondering how I am able to walk the moment I am hatched, though I am not paying much attention to that factor. Mostly, they are ignoring me, and I am ignoring them. After several hours of looking around the garden, which is a lot bigger than I expected, I am finding no clues to my sudden transformation.
Suddenly, one of the chao is walking towards me. I don't know how to react, so I am just standing here and staring. It is greeting me, noting that I am new, and I am greeting it back. There appears to be no curiosity towards why I am able to walk and talk immediately after hatching. However, I am expecting the question to appear soon enough. As our conversation is continuing, I am learning more about chao. I thought I knew all there was to know, having studied the games thoroughly. Now, I am finding out that what I know barely scrapes the surface.
Our conversation is ending, and my stomach is growling. The other chao is noticing that and is walking over to a nearby tree. It is shaking the tree, and a nut is falling off the tree. The chao is handing the nut to me to eat. As I am eating, I am realizing, I am gaining a new friend.
