Greetings everyone, this is my first One Piece story.

It might be quite a short Luffy X Yamato story, but I wanted to make this for fun.

Wano Kuni

On a hill, two people are eating together and chatting.

"So... you're leaving tomorrow?"

"Yup!"

"..."

"What's wrong, Yamato?" Luffy asked, despite a bunch of food in his mouth.

Luffy and Yamato are together the night before the Straw Hat's farewell. Even Luffy can tell that something's bothering Yamato.

"Oh, nothing..."

"Really?" Luffy shrugged, ready to keep on eating.

"Well... fine." Yamato then sighed, confessing how she's feeling about the Straw Hats leaving. "I'll miss you all. I've come to really be fond of you. Some, more than others..."

"You could come with us."

"I'd like to," Yamato sighed, then looked out at Wano Kuni, "But this place can use my help to recover."

"Sounds tough." Luffy replied, munching.

"But I'll miss you most of all, Luffy..."

"Yeah, I'll miss you too, Yama-o!"

She shook her head, he wasn't catching on. She then got the message across by leaning over, and kissed him. Pulling back slightly, she gave him such a warm smile, a nice blush on her face.

"Huh? Did you want to eat that?"

Yamato silenced his foolish, yet innocent, nonsense with another kiss.

"Oh." Luffy said, starting to catch on. He glanced up at her, "If you keep doing that, you're really gonna make me miss you."

"I meant it when I said I'm going to miss you." Yamato said softly, tracing the scar on his chest.

"But if I can't stay here, and you can't come with us, what should we do?" Luffy said, puzzled.

"Well," Yamato said, "If you're willing, I have a couple things in mind that we can do, so that we don't forget about each other..."

"Like what?"

Yamato grinned down at Luffy, then grabbed him. Throwing him over her shoulder, she headed over to get some help from certain survivors of the conflict...

The next day

"Everyone ready?" Luffy asks his crew. They had been waiting for him to join them.

"How can we be..." The crew's sad to leave while Wano's recovering, and there's so much celebrating. But they have an adventure to keep going on, and it'll only be more difficult to leave the more they keep putting it off.

Soon, Wano begins to get smaller and smaller as they drift away.

Luffy is soon approached by Robin privately. "If I didn't know any better, you're acting like you're leaving some family behind..."

"Huh?" Luffy asked. He had been standing in one spot the whole time, and staring back at Wano in one direction. Robin's tone implies that she knows what Luffy's been up to. "Shishishi," Luffy laughs, pulling his hat down over his head, his grin wide. "I guess so..."

"I thought you weren't going to get married?"

"Yamato helped me to see why I should, she's pretty stubborn."

"Like someone I know." Robin giggled.

"Huh?" Luffy asked, tilting his head.

"But if you're trying to keep this secret," Robin said, whispering to Luffy, "You might want to hide the band."

"Oh, that?" Luffy then laughed, looking at his hand. "Nah."

Turning around, he then had something to tell the rest of the crew.

Unanimous reaction.

"You did what?!"

A couple of years later

Yamato's on a hill overlooking the sea into Wano Kuni. But she's not alone.

Soon, a very familiar ship comes floating in. This brings a warm smile to Yamato's face, memories come flooding back.

The small figure Yamato's holding close to her body perks up, interested in the Lion's Figure Head leading the rest of the ship. A man with a Straw Hat and a wide, goofy grin on his face, is standing on the ship's upper deck.

"That's right, that's your Papa!"

A black-haired child looks up at her mother, smile widening. She then turns her attention back to the view in front of them. Yamato chuckles, watching her daughter's orange-colored eyes sparkle brilliantly at the sight of everything.

Bink's Sake plays in the background, as a light breeze blows through the child's aqua-green/blue color that her locks end in, gently rustling them.

Yamato looks up, a smirk on her face as she thinks about her daughter's fascination with the sea.

"This girl is going to go places..."

This was a fun little story for all the Luffato? Shippers.

Their daughter's name? Is Oden too much on the nose? lol

I guess that would make her Monkey D. Oden.

Hopefully you all enjoyed it. I may do another Luffy X ? story later on in the future.
