From the time she can remember, Crystal Rose Potter has shared her consciousness with another being. She was a Dwarrowdam and her name was Fróia, sister of Glóin, son and daughter of Gróin. Fróia had beautiful long wavy red hair with a gorgeous matching beard to match. She also had the most amazing shade of gray eyes. Over the years, Fróia had explained how she came to be inside Crystal's head.

Fróia and her kin were the children of Mahal, known as Aulë the Smith. They were named the Dwarrow race, but the females were called Dwarrowdams. They were a race dedicated to mining and working with precious metals throughout the mountains of Middle-earth. Furthermore, they were considered unrivaled in arts such as smithing, crafting, metalworking, and masonry, even by the Noldor.

The Dwarrow's were the greatest miners ever to exist in Middle-earth, building immense halls under mountains where they built their cities. Mahal had presented himself in Fróia's dreams and told her unless she was sent away to learn everything she needed, the Longbeard clans, along with the rest of the Dwarrow race would die out due to the low number of births, and starvation. Fróia had been sent away to learn the necessary skills to prevent the extinction of their race.

So from the time Crystal had discovered she was born a witch when she was eleven years old, she had been researching any possible way to send Fróia back to her homeland. When she discovered information on different worlds, Crystal vowed to get Fróia home to her family, but before she could do anything with that information, a war broke out in the wizarding world.

Thankfully, Fróia taught Crystal how to forge weapons, and she spent months forging battle weapons. Swords, axes, bow and arrows, and many others. It had also been her responsibility to train her friends how to use them. But thanks to Fróia helping and teaching Crystal everything she knew, her friends could defend themselves. They weren't great at fighting with them, but they knew enough to keep themselves alive.

Crystal had also been in charge of defenses, and she wasn't ashamed to admit it, they were amazing. Again, it was all thanks to Fróia teaching her what she needed to know. No one could breach her defenses. They held strong where others had not. After the war had ended, Crystal again concentrated on her research on how to get Fróia home.

But during the process, Fróia had learned everything she needed to know over the years as she was taking up residence in Crystal's mind. The most important things she had learned were how to look after the land and how to plant crops and plants, so her people wouldn't starve. And thanks to Hagrid teaching Crystal everything about animals, Fróia now knew how to look after livestock. But the most difficult thing she learned was not to hold a grudge. Fróia knew she would never like the elves of the Greenwood. They had turned their backs on those in need. But just because of one elf's mistake, that didn't give the Dwarrow race any right to mistreat every elf they come across.

And while Fróia was learning everything she needed, she had also been teaching Crystal everything she needed. And whenever Crystal felt like giving up, Fróia lent her the strength and skills she needed to survive her childhood, years at Hogwarts, and the war. Fróia knew Crystal needed all the help she could get. If anything, Fróia felt that Crystal needed to come back home with her, so she could finally have a good life.

Fróia knew Crystal loved her friends, but they weren't what she needed. Over the years, Fróia came to love Crystal as her daughter. She had been so proud of everything she had accomplished. She had tried not to get attached, knowing she couldn't stay, but Crystal made herself a home in Fróia's heart. Furthermore, she was hoping that Mahal allowed Crystal to come home with her.

"I think I finally found the ritual that will send you home," Crystal announced sadly. She would miss the woman she came to view as her mother. Fróia would never replace her mother, but she had more than enough room in her heart for both of them. When Fróia heard the sadness in Crystal's voice, she now knew that she had to perform a prayer to Mahal, and request that her daughter be allowed to come home with her.

"Aulë, Father of the Dwarrow, I beseech you to hear and answer my prayers. I call upon you so that I may return home now that my task is complete, and I implore upon you to allow me the chance to give one I consider as a daughter a new life. Hear my plea Mahal, maker of Dwarrow,"

Fróia's voice soon quieted as a powerful presence swelled within the space inside Crystal's mind. They could hear hammering and singing in the distance, and as a figure appeared, Fróia knelt before her creator. Crystal knew this being was Mahal just by his presence.

"Greetings, my child," he said as his eyes turned towards Crystal. He knew why he was here, and he was more than happy to grant them their wish, but with a catch.

"Father, I wish to return home, but I do not wish to leave Crystal behind. She has become my daughter in every way that counts. I wish to adopt her," Fróia requested.

"Fróia, you have done me proud. When I sent you away, I made sure to send you to the one person who I knew would need you. The Valor has been watching her for years, but I knew she was meant to reunite my children and the children of my darling One. I will send her back with you but, she will not be a part of the race of Man, she will become a Dwarrowdam. Since Crystal is just seventeen, she is a child, so she will become your child. She will have your characteristics," he explained before turning towards the nervous young lady.

"Crystal, my dear child, you will always be the child of James and Lily, but there is no shame in having another set of parents who will love you. Adoption will make you Fróia's child. Our adoption rituals are set in stone," he explained.

"Will I have my magic?" she asked, as she did not want to lose part of herself.

"Yes. To lose it would leave you diminished. Your books, studies, and family inheritances will arrive after I send you and your mother home. However, you will not need a wand. I am going to forge you a very special ring connected to your magic, and it will only be removed by you or your parents. Your power will connect you to the Elements, Sky, Stone, and Metal. You will still be able to do everything your instructors have taught you, but you will have to be careful about how much you perform your magic. It will tire you if you push yourself more than you're capable of. For every potion you make, plants and other ingredients will be sent to you. I cannot bring any magical creatures into our world without discussing it over with the other Vala's," he explained.

"I understand, thank you. Will I have memories of my life here?" Crystal asked as Fróia stood and took her hand.

"Yes, but it will seem like another person lived that life. The other Valor's and I want you to have a fresh start and to do that, you need to be able to live your life without your past hanging over you," Mahal said smiling.

"And as I've been watching over you your whole life, I know you wrote your final wishes in case anything happened. I'll have to fake your death so you and the people you care about can move on without wondering why you disappeared. An exact copy of your body will be discovered, so they can put you to rest," Mahal explained.

"I will not have to worry about them," she muttered because she knew what she left for her friends and their families. The contents of the LeStrange, Gaunt, and Slytherin fortunes. She hadn't been about to part with her bloodline inheritances.

"Now, as this takes a lot of power, you will need time to gather your bearings. Crystal, you will be sleeping because during that time I will be giving you the languages that you need to know as well as the geography and history of the world, so you will not be lost among the different peoples. Your mother will be watching over you while you sleep," he explained before starting to chant in his deep, soulful voice.

Crystal started feeling tired and worn out as her mother knelt down, bring Crystal with her, and placed Crystal's head in her lap.

"Fear not, my child, Crystal will heal in time," Mahal promised, seeing the pain and worry on his child's face.

"She has been through so much pain and heartache. I wish she never saw the horrors she has, but I cannot deny that Crystal is stronger for it," Fróia said. She was angry that her child has experienced pain and war before she was an adult. She hadn't been ready for it, but no one else saw it that way. The wizarding world failed Crystal.

"Lady Magic has a plan towards those who wronged Crystal. You need not worry about anything. Take care of your daughter," Mahal said before fading away.

Fróia didn't expect the sudden fatigue, but she knew it was a part of Mahal's magic. He was taking them home.
