So I deleted my Zarc fic because I didn't like it. This time, there will be no more other fics.
"Battle! Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon attacks Starve Venom Fusion Dragon! Spiral Strike Burst!" Yuya's ace fired a flame at Starve Venom Fusion Dragon.
"When Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon battles a Level 5 or above monster, the battle damage is doubled!" Yuya's voice was shaking with rage as the orbs on Odd-Eyes's wings began to glow as powerful energy began to transfer into Odd-Eyes's attack.
"REACTION FORCE!"
"Am I losing?" Yuri said, scared for the first time in his life… before he began to cackle and laugh like a madman as accepted the reality of the situation. After all, this duel's result didn't matter in the end.
Yuri: 3600 - 3600 = 0 LP
Winner: Yuya
Yuya walked to Yuri as he was looking down.
"I was wrong… But… I'm glad you are the first one to defeat me. Because you are me…" Yuri shuffled his pocket and took out Yusho's card.
"Take it. You want this back, right? The last memory of your father…" Yuri said as he extended Yusho's card for Yuya to take. As if he accepted his fate as Yuya approached him, but before his last strength faded.
"And it's better if you absorb me into you quickly. " Yuri said before losing consciousness as Yuya walked slowly towards him.
No, he isn't really his dad. It's just Sakaki Yusho in there. He was never his father. He isn't sure if his thoughts were being influenced by Zarc or not, but Yuya began to see Yusho in a different light.
The man abandoned his only son and his wife, thinking he could TALK with a man who was going to start a war. No letter, nothing. He just went into another Dimension and left everyone else to suffer. He remembers the nights his mom cried in her room, thinking Yuya couldn't hear her.
He remembers Yuzu having to help Shuzo out with stuff related to You Show because the workload was too much. The man was dumped an entire school on him without notice and knowledge on how to run it and Yuzu was still a child. She should be enjoying life with ease, not having to grow up yet.
Before his da- Yusho disappeared, he remembers Yuzu once told him she wanted to be like an idol, but for You Show. She always used to sing with a beautiful voice to him.
He can't remember the last time she sung to him
Being fused with Yuto, he could also see memories of Heartland from before the invasion, his hatred for Yusho amplifying.

He knew Heartland was going to be invaded by Academia but rather than warn the people or try and form some sort of defense, no, he just teaches people Entertainment Dueling. Yes, in the end it helped with Edo and possibly Dennis, but how many innocent lives were sacrificed for that? Kaito lost his family and went on a rampage! He even lost Ruri! His girlfriend! The love of his-
Yuya shook his head. Damn, him and Yuto were fused for so long, their feelings began to merge as well, their feelings also growing for the other girl. He sometimes had dreams of being on dates with Ruri, but it was HIM rather than Yuto. Yuto was apparently okay with this, as he confessed he had dreams of being with Yuzu. He wonders if the same thing would happen with Yugo and Rin-He was getting off track.
And after the man disappeared because of Edo missclick (he still wonders how he fucked THAT up) and ended up in Academia, he created another You Show and began to take in deserters from Academia, which on hindsight sounds good, but he never had any intention of going up against Akaba Leo.
Even after everything he witnessed, he still had the audacity to think he could talk Akaba Leo out of it.
And Yuya was so close to make the bastard pay for sacrificing Yuzu/Ruri/Rin. But Yusho finally decided to do something useful… AND IMPALE HIM TO A PILLAR!
HE LET YUZU/RURI/RIN DIE!
So no, he could never think of Yusho as his father ever again. He couldn't even stomach the idea of Entertainment Dueling any longer. Why should he entertain those who mocked him? Those that hurt his friends, his mother? Who laughed maniacally as they carded innocent people? Who believed themselves to be better than them, just for being rich? Who thought it was okay to treat others like trash just because of a social status!?
"Yuya would never do that! He won't become a demon!" Reiji interjected.
Oh right, he had an audience. He completely forgot.
"Yugo and Yuto must feel the same as well! That's why they helped Yuya in the Duel!" Sora added strongly, supporting Reiji's statement.
No, Yugo and Yuto are only helping him to get back at Yuri.
"That means Zarc would never come back." Edo added.
At this point, he didn't even care if Zarc did.
Also, the audacity they had to stand on a moral high ground like they were any different than Zarc or Leo.
Reiji, in order to find capable Duelists for the Lancers, let countless people get carded. He actually liked Michio and wished he could have saved him. Teppei… while the guy needed an attitude change, he didn't deserve to get carded. He doesn't know much about the rest, but they didn't deserve this fate as well. Reiji didn't care what he would have to do in order to stop his father, even if it meant leaving people to die and suffer. After all, what did he do in the Synchro Dimension? Yuya and the Lancers had to fight his battles, it was Yuya who united everyone, while all he did was fight Roget for five minutes.
How are Sora and Edo any better? Sure they changed, but how many people had they carded? How much blood was on their hands? How dare they think they're any better than Yuri when Sora was smiling like a maniac during his duel with Shun!
If it wasn't for Reiji and his stupid Battle Royale to fend off Academia, he wouldn't have lost Yuzu. He would have been by her side, saved her from Yuri, from that bastard Sergey. She wouldn't have been sacrificed for this insane plan Akaba Leo had masterminded, along with Ruri, Rin and Serena.
Leo…
He could feel all of his counterpart's anger at the man. How dare he think his actions are justified? Everyone's lives were ruined in the Xyz Dimension - with Heartland being left a wasteland and its innocent people hunted for sport!
If it wasn't for him, Roget wouldn't have gone to the Synchro Dimension and made everything worse! And Yuzu wouldn't have almost died!
If it wasn't for him standing between Yuri and Serena, the former might have become a decent person and Serena would not have been imprisoned and then brainwashed by that bastard Doktor.
Yuya was finally in front of Yuri. "I won," he said. "By only thinking of winning… I won."
At the end of the day, that was all that mattered, right? Academia wanted to win, Leo wanted to win, Sora wanted to win, everyone in the Dimensions wanted to win.
If you didn't win, you were nothing.
"Just as you all wished!" Yuya's voice was deep and raspy now, his eyes glaring red and his mouth stuck in a wide, malicious grin. Veins began to pop all around his face.
"And I will continue to win! UNTIL WE DESTROY THE WORLD ITSELF!" He was soon surrounded by a tornado of darkness and-
In the next instance, Yuya was in a white void
He looked around and found he was able to move his body.
He started to walk despite having no ground, it was as he if was walking in the air.
Yuya was just walking, he had no destination.
After all, he gave up and let Zarc take control of him. Yuzu was gone, so he had no reason to continue. If only he could start over.
"But what if you could?"
Surprised at the voice, he turned around and saw a strange monster. "Who are you?"
"Greetings, Yuya. I am Chronograph Magician. I am the brother of Astrograph Magician, the true form of your two cards, Stargazer and Timegazer Magician. Zarc is currently using him to bring his true form to life." He introduced himself.
"I see." Yuya said. "Honestly, given that everything that has happened, I'm not surprised more of my monsters are counterparts of something. But what did you mean by your first question?"
"My brother is capable of controlling space. It's how Zarc was able to merge with the four dragons and become Supreme King Dragon Zarc in the first place. My brother believes that humanity has gone far beyond the path of redemption and had Zarc become his avatar so he could end it all."
"Let me guess: you disagree." Yuya responded.
"Correct. Despite their darkness, I still believe humanity deserves to live. It's always darkest before the dawn. However, I can't interfere directly with my brother as a clash between our powers would cease the universe to end."
"Your powers?" Yuya said, confused.
"Oh, I knew I was forgetting something." He snapped his fingers, clock appearing around him. "My power is being able to control the flow of time. If able, I could send you back to a point in time at the beginning of your journey, before everything happened."
"The beginning…" Yuya repeated, before frowning. "But why would I want to do that? For all intents and purposes, I'm fine with humanity ending."
"True, but what if I said you could save your girlfriend this time?"
"Yuzu…" Yuya repeated, not even denying the implication. "I'll do it!"
"Hold your horses, I need to warn you of two things." Chronograph said, raising two fingers. "First of all, this isn't as some simple time travel you see in fiction. Time is like a river. It flows only one way. In order to create a new timeline, I have to create a new river."
"Wait, doesn't that mean you could stop Zarc?" Yuya asked.
"Sadly, due to Ray interference, anything before the Dimensions were split are permanent, impossible to change." Chronograph answered.
"Of course." Yuya grumbled. "What is the second thing?"
"In order to keep you the way you are and send you back in time, I will have to use your soul as well as a cost. This would normally kill a mortal, but considering you have 3 other souls inside of you, I can compensate the cost easily."
"So what you're saying is to reset time, I have to sacrifice Yuto, Yugo and Yuri!?" Yuya asked, surprised. "Then I won't do it! I refuse to sacrifice them!"
"Do it Yuya."
Yuya turned behind him and saw his three doppelgangers.
"Yuto, Yuri, Yugo..."Yuya muttered as he looked at them.
"Do it, Yuya." Yuto repeated.
"But Yuto! I can't sacrifice you!" Yuya said. "If anything, you have the right to live more than I do!"
"If saving Ruri, Yuzu, Shun and everyone else in Heartland means my life, I will gladly give it up." Yuto said with a smile.
"Same with me. I only had Rin in my life and I was too much of a chicken to confess. Same with Yuzu." Yugo said with a cheeky grin. So he loved her too. "Without her, I have nothing to look forward to. Not even becoming King would help me. So if my death brings her back, I would jump off a bridge the first chance I get."
"Phrasing, Yugo…" Yuto facepalmed.
Yuya turned to Yuri, who had his back turned. "Yuri… I can't forgive you, but even I can't sacrifice you." Yuya said.
Yuri groaned. "Good lord, your goody-two-shoes act is going to make me throw up." Yuri said, before turning to Yuya with a frown on his face. "Listen, unlike you three Dumbketeers, I had nothing, I wanted nothing, I was and always will be nothing. I was just some pawn in other people's games. I have no reason to live."
"Yuri…"
"Don't misunderstand." Yuri said. "I'm not doing this so you feel better and go swap saliva with your girlfriend. If it means not spending eternity with you three and having a chance to screw over Zarc and Leo, I will do anything."
"Wow, for the first time, we agree on something." Yugo said, surprised. "Because man, the thought of spending any time with you sounds like hell."
"The feeling is mutual, Fusion." Yuri said with a smirk.
"It's not Fusion, it's Yugo!" He shouted back.
"As you can see, Yuya, none of us are against it." Yuto said, pointing at the two.
"But..." Yuya was still unsure.
"Please, Yuya, accept this second chance you were given." Yugo said.
"...Ok." Yuya said, after thinking for a while.
"Thank you." Yuto and Yugo said at the same time, with Yuri merely smirking.
"It seems you are done saying your goodbyes." Chronograph said, raising his sword. "I shall begin the-
"Wait!"
Everyone facefaulted as Yugo interruped.
"I have something to add!" He said.
"Then make it quick!" Chronograph said, annoyed.
Yugo turned to Yuya. "I'm not going to say you should become King, as I already saw you did that and I doubt you can't a second time. Frankly, I also don't care about the Tops and Commons fiasco, but still kick Roget's ass for me. The only thing I care about is Rin's happiness. Make sure she is happy, okay?"
"I promise." Yuya said.
"Also, try not to upset her. Like Yuzu, she is mean when she wants to be." Yugo said, shivering.
"I… promise." Yuya repeated, this time feeling sorry for Yugo.
"Before anything, I have a question: Can the Heartland invasion be prevented?" Yuto asked Chronograph Magician, who shook his head
"That is something I cannot answer. I am unsure of the changes my power could cause, hence why I held on until now to use it."
"Well, that's not reassuring." Yuto said with a sigh, rubbing the back of his neck. "Regardless, protect my home, okay? If it is not messed with, protect it from Academia. If it is invaded, save everyone. Don't make them become the monsters they are fighting against. And like Yugo, protect Ruri's smile. You will see how pretty it is."
"I… will try." Yuya said, unsure if he could Duel like he did before.
The trio turned to Yuri, who sighed.
"Great, I have to do a sappy, motivational speech as well? What a drag." Yuri said. "Just try and not lose, okay? It will leave me in bad taste if the guy who beat me loses."
"I won't." Yuya said. "I will never lose again."
"Now you're done?" Chronograph asked. When everyone nodded, he raised his energy sword, an image of a clock appearing underneath it, which began rotating backwards at fast speeds. "Buckle up. This will only hurt a lot."
"You mean a little, right?"
Chronograph was silent as an aura surrounded Yuto, Yugo and Yuri, before going to the sword.
Soon, a big flash of light came from the sword, enveloping Yuya.
Yu-Gi-Oh Arc V: New Game +
So, I have read SO MANY stories of characters going back to the beginning of the series, so I thought I could use the same for Arc-V, who doesn't have much of these.
Now, there will obviously be some changes from the original anime, as seen here: Yugo, Yuto and Yuri won't be in this story. At the very least, they won't be... present like in the anime. If they return in some way... you will have to read and find out.
P.S: All main characters are 18 and over in this and there will be lemons.
