Prologue
"My people know it. From generation to generation, we pass along the lore about the distortions in the world borne by the Mega Evolution mechanism. And about the existence of another world, which we have long observed to be just like this one and yet not the same... That's right. A Hoenn region that's almost exactly like this one we live in. Filled with Pokémon and people like us. A world where maybe the evolution of Pokémon took a slightly different path, where Mega Evolution is unknown... A world where that war 3,000 years ago...never happened. A world where the ultimate weapon was never even built. And in that Hoenn of that world... What would happen if one day, out of the blue, a meteoroid appeared? What would happen to the people of that world, without the technology to destroy the meteoroid or the power to warp it away? ... Looks like it's beyond the power of your imagination." ~Zinnia of Earth 2
~Hoenn Region, Earth Prime (The Non-gimmick Universe)~
Above the skies of the abandoned Trick House a ominous wormhole loomed above. One of many spread out across the skies of the Hoenn region, but not just here every region was experiencing this horrifying phenomenon where terrifying ultra powerful beasts dropped as invasive species wreaking destruction upon the land in which they clashed.
These Ultra Beasts are Pokémon native to a vastly different dimension to the world of Pokemon, the Ultra Space causing them to develop as very strange, and often very strong. While the Ultra Beasts normally stay within Ultra Space, they can on occasion become stranded outside of it due to the formation of an Ultra Wormhole that leaves them unable to return. This can prove to be dangerous for anyone nearby, as the disorientation involved can often cause them to become violent.
In this universe trainers of Hoenn, Kalos, and Alola did not have Mega Evolution to rely on to match the ferocity of the Ultra Beast and their growing might with each pokemon and trainer they laid to waste. The Trainers of Galar did not have the ability to dynamax and like the other regions before them their mightiest trainers fell one by one as did the regions once Necrozma in his violent rage drained the world of light and Guzzlord laid whole cities to nothing but nigh uninhabitable wastelands.
Humanity had to wear suits and what was left of humanity made their home in Ultra City that they nicknamed the Black City. One trainer in the Hoenn Region still fought the Ultra Beast in an attempt to take back what was left of his region, his home. This trainer had long dark red hair that covered the right side of his face. He had fierce dark yellow eyes, and tan skin. In the olden days he wore a blue t-shirt, blue jeans, and brown suspenders that hung off his belt loops, with brown shoes. His name was L and he traveled around with a girl named Michan and her Blastoise Kimax.
Today, Michan and her team of pokemon were one of the many trainers who fought and were killed during the initial invasion of the Ultra Beasts. L was a talented Ground Pokemon Master and ran an underground gym in a place they called Kansai in the Hoenn underground. His fellow gym leaders such as Joe the high flying pokemon master were killed. Along with their Elite Four Yuta the evil ghost and Dark Pokemon master, all the way up to their beloved Champion the Ice Queen Sakura.
Rather then taking safety in the Back City, L driven by grief and rage from the loss of his friends, the loss of his region, and the loss of his home sought out Necrozma alone but only found a team of violent Ultra Beasts…
L's ultra suit from the recon force was damaged in a scuffle with the Ultra Beasts, he ditched the suit but the harsh environment made it hard to breathe. Most of L's pokemon had been killed in the scuffle with the Ultra Beasts. L's Gastrodon known as Lord Slug defeated Xurkitree after but was cut down by Kartanna who then was defeated by L's beloved Nidoqueen whose name was Queen Nido, only to fall to a Stakataka.
Out of desperation L threw a dusk ball and summoned the legendary Groudon, whom he named Behemoth who upon seeing its dead friends went into a violent rage and tore Stakataka apart. L's troubles didn't end there when Buzzwole and Pheromosa double teamed the mighty Groudon. L quickly called out another legendary pokemon Landerous in its therian form to aid Groudon. A vicious and bloody battle ensued where Groudon and Landerous defeated Buzzwole and Pheromosa but succumbed to their injuries.
With Celesteela arriving on scene L is forced to retreat not wanting to lose his last pokemon and not wanting Groudon and Landerous to die from their injuries L took refuge in the abandoned Trick House up in the attic where he unexpectedly runs into a terrifying Blacephalon. L tries to sneak by through the squeaky attic only to fall through the floor smashing through a kitchen table.
L weakly sits up covered in dust, dirt, and a broken right arm. L grits his teeth trying to not yell out in pain. L see's a hand wave at him from around the corner then the refrigerator door opens up to reveal an upside down Blacephalon slithering out the refrigerator standing straight up towering over L who looked horrified.
L quickly gets to his feet only to be rushed by Blacephalon who slams him up against the wall. L watches the weird lights emit an eerie sound making symbols and figurations he did not understand. Blacephalon began choking L tilting its head seeing L's eyes start to roll in the back of his head.
L struggles with his left hand to free one of his pokeballs rolling it across the floor. Outside the Trick House a bright light could be seen as Steelix's body wraps around and breaks through the house. Towering over Blacephalon in furious rage seeing its beloved trainer being strangled by the Ultra Beast. Blacephalon slams L cruelly to the ground charging Steelix. Steelix's tail breaks through the wall stabbing its tail in the side of its balloon-like head.
Steelix looks to L and nods her head signaling him to get away. L nods begrudgingly, getting to his feet staggering away but Blacehpalon reaches out with its left arm slashing L across the abdomen. L twirls around falling to his knees. L clinches bloody abdomen with his left arm looking over his shoulder at Blacephalon with dark rings under his eyes.
Steelix quickly wraps her body around Blacephalon and restrains it, lifting it in the air glaring at it menacingly. L notices the orbs of light are configuring in a way as if it was counting down. L's eyes widened when he realized what was about to happen.
"I'm sorry…" L whispers, realizing the depth and magnitude of his failure to stop Ultra Necrozma, to defeat the Ultra Beasts and take back their region, their home, and to avenge the loss of his friends. If only he had more power he thought.
In that moment L's life flashed before his eyes. He remembers being back in Kanto starting out his journey with Michan and their Squirtle's they got from Prof. Oak. L remembers his journey's through Kanto, his battles at Pokemon Stadium, his adventures in Johto, and his adventures in Sinnoh, and finally Hoenn that lead him to the region he would call home and friends he would come to call family as they ran their underground Pokemon League.
Now all of it seemed like a bygone era, generations past in a fluid of colors of Blue, Yellow, Silver, reflecting off a Pearl encased in an Emerald. Blacephalon used its move Mind Blown to blow up the house, taking out Steelix and L in flaming glory thus ending their tragic story as they become another forgotten footnote in the destruction of Earth Prime, just another forgotten name among its dead that has been erased and forgotten with the passing of time…
