Another stupid idea. Middle Earth and Hunter X Hunter islands exist in one universe. No island for immortals being, so no elves fleeing from Middle Earth.

Don't like don't read.

Disclaimer I don't own anything.

Gandalf didn't know if it was good idea or not, but he needs any help he can get. And the man he's asking for help can surely help him.

Netero is name of the man. Gandalf met him some fifty sixty years ago. Since the first meeting he knew the man was powerful. The odd energy Netero wields is amazing. The raw power he has is unnatural, inhumane.

From the letters they sent each other Gandalf knew about Netero's position as a chairman of Hunter Association. Hunters are people with similar powers to Netero. If he gets just one Hunter to help, the chances of destroying the One Ring will increase.

Gandalf hopes his old friend will help. He sent the letter with request.

In chairman's office Netero read over the letter. His friend Gandalf needs his help.

Netero leans back in his chair thinking about Middle Earth. That island is completely secluded. They're stuck in medieval age and have many magical creatures. It's like a fantasy world, however the nations agree to not interfere with them due to the evil that resides there and getting to the island is pain in the ass, it's not worth it. Better leave it be.

But that never stopped Netero from exploring the place and he doesn't regret it. He had made many friends there.

He will help them in any way possible. But because the travel to the island is too dangerous for group he has to sent one person or sent them by one, no that would take too much time, time Gandalf doesn't have. One should be enough, but who should he sent.

The Hunter must be trustworthy and strong enough to resist the evil ring. He must have dreams that aren't about personal gain. He must have exploring experience and be powerful to stand against a large number of enemies. Also he must be willing to go on a mission from association for unknown amount of time.

After few minutes of compilation he remembers having one Hunter like this. A hunter who wants to see the world and loves freedom and adventures above anything material.

Gandalf was waiting for the Hunter appear. He was in small clearing three hours away from Rivendell. He didn't noticed the presents of another in bushes before him. A person was hiding there performing Zetsu or in another words counseling his aura.

'Looks like the wizard chairman told me about,' the person though, letting of Zetsu.

Gandalf stiffen and point his staff at the bush.

"Show your self!" he demanded.

Slowly the person rise from his hideout hands hold in non threatening way.

Gandalf studied the newcomer. A girl still in her teenage years. She had strange clothes on.

"I'm the Hunter chairman Netero sent," she spoke calmly. "Are you Gandalf the Grey Istari?"

"Yes, I am. Show me your licence," Gandalf replied.

The girl reach for her boot and pulled out the licence. Gandalf stepped closer to examine it closely. When he nodded he relaxed his stand and held out his hand for the girl to shake.

She took it with smile. "Nice to meet you. My name is Toril."

Toril has big chestnut brown eyes and long black hair held in a bun with decorative hairstick. She's good looking high cheekbones, small nose and full pink lips.

She wear brown leather boots, black pants, burgundy hoodie, grey scarf and tan khaki jacket. She had a dark brown backpack on her back. It all was worn but well cared for. Also there is a chain with sickle attached to her belt.

"Aren't you little young to be a Hunter? What about your parents?"

She shrugged. "There is no age limit for Hunter Exams and my dad encourage me to be a Hunter. Before you ask I don't have a mother."

Gandalf look at her dumbfounded.

"Well, why don't you tell me about my quest?" She looked at him curiously.

"Ah, yes, I will explain on our way to Rivendell," he said still eyeing Toril.

The explanation took whole three hours, once they reached the gate Gandalf finished his explanation.

In Rivendell Gandalf lead Toril to Lord Elrond's study. Where he introduced her to the Lord of Rivendell.

"Mithrandir," Elrond spoke. "A child shouldn't be here and even if she wasn't a child, a woman shouldn't fight this war."

At this words Toril is struggling to keep her temper down. It always anger her when people are saying she can't fight because of her age or gender. Ok she gets the age thing, children shouldn't fight, but that isn't the issue here. That guy has really old-fashion way of thinking, girls can't fight my ass.

"Lord Elrond I assure you she is strong, I dare say stronger than your warriors," Gandalf tried to persuade him.

"I would have to see for myself," Elrond replied stiffly.

"I can fight whoever you choose, Lord Elrond," Toril spoke up. "I'll prove to you that I'm as capable as any man and will be an asset."

Elrond studied her for a while.

"Mithrandir told me about strange powers of Hunters. Do you have one?"

"Yes, I do, my lord." She tried to be as polite as possible, no need to anger the elf.

"We will hold council in two days, you can show us your power tomorrow. If you prove to be asset I will let you stay and join the council, but if you fail you will return home right away," he stated.

"Yes, Lord Elrond," Toril said.

Elrond call in elf to escort her to her chamber and then show her around Rivendell.

Once she was out of the study Elrond turned to Gandalf.

"I don't like this, Mithrandir. She isn't even an adult and foreigner at that. I don't want her to fight in our battles."

"I don't like it ether, but she is Hunter chosen by Netero and I trust his judgment." He looked at Elrond. "Tell me, dear friend, what do you know about Hunters?" Gandalf asked.

"Only what you told me," Elrond sight. "Not much."

"Hunters are in contant danger and can loose their life easily. They're part of the elite. Some think of them as a monsters in human skin. I'm sure she knows she can die here at anytime and she has accepted it." Gandalf said sadly.

Elrond didn't said anything just looked out of the window.

Meanwhile Toril was intently listening to her guide. The elf, whose name is Lindir, was kind enough to tell her about Rivendell. He was delighted by her childlike curiosity and started to tell her what he knew about the town. And Toril, a good listener she is, made a great impression of spange, soaking all the knowledge.

Many elves they past by give them curious looks. But they didn't pay more attention to them.

When Lindir was in middle of very sad story of elf and her human lover, Toril bumped into someone. She stumbled back cursing herself for not paying attention to the road. The grumbling from the other person told her he wasn't pleased either.

"I'm sorry, sir," she apologised while bowing her head. "I didn't paid attention where I was going."

She looked up at a man, a child? No, definitely a man, he looks to mature to be a child.

"Don't worry, I shouldn't have stand in middle of the road," he said.

Tha small man had shaggy blond hair, kind brown eyes and was quite chubby. The perfect picture of kind nextdoor neighbour in Toril's opinion.

"Oh, my name is Samwise Gamgee," he introduced himself and extended his hand for a handshake.

"I'm Toril," she took the hand with a smile.

'Is he a dwarf?' She thought, 'no. He's not hairy enough to be one. A hobbit maybe?'

A cough interrupt them. "Miss Toril we should be going, we still have a lot to see." Lindir said.

"Ah, yes," Toril said sheepishly then she turned to Samwise. "See you around Mr. Gamgee."

Some hours later you could find Toril sitting on the bridge, right behind the gates, sketching in new looking leather bound book. She has habit of writing journals about her travels and she wants to make one about Middle Earth. Now she was drawing Rivendell and then she will write down everything she learned about the place.

She heard hooves of horses coming. Then there were voices talking in Sindarin, elves then. It was a short conversation and ridders were soon on their way, but they stopped next to her. She didn't looked up not wanting to start conversations.

"Hello, young one," one of the ridders started.

"Hello," Toril replied.

"May I see what are you drawing."

"It's still not finished," she replied not unkindly.

"May I still see it?" The guy was persistent.

Toril leaned back to allow him to see her sketch. She heard the hooves getting closer and soon she felt the elf leaning forward to see.

"It's beautiful. You have great talent," the elf praised.

"Thank you," she blushed at the praise. No one other than her adoptive father had ever praised her drawing skills.

"What's your name, young one?" he asked.

Toril looked up now. She saw a handsome elf with blond and blue eyes. He looks young, not that much older than her, however he can be hundreds if not thousands years old.

"Toril, and yours, master elf?" She asked.

"I'm Legolas Greenleaf," he replied.

"Are you here for the council?" She tilted her head slightly in curiosity.

"Yes, and why are you here?" He asked.

"That's for me to know and for you to find out," she smirked and returned to her drawing.

Legolas watched her for a moment and then he and his companions left.

At the sunset she left her spot to find something to eat.

When entering the dinning hall she was met with unexpected sight. There were elves and Gandalf as she expected but also humans, dwarfs and even hobbits. Thankfully no one noticed her arrival so she snaked to the table where Gandalf sat.

"Ah, Toril there you are," Gandalf exclaimed, successfully drawing attention of everyone in the hall.

She wanted to punched the wizard for this or run away from attention. They were studying her, judging her, she never liked attention of others, except her father. That amazing and kind doctor always made her feel better. She forced herself to calm down.

"Where you looking for me?" She asked.

"I was about to go look for you," he said. "There are some hobbits I want to introduce you to." He showed her a free seat.

As she sat down the hall begun to fill with conversation again. Toril was relieved they no longer looked at her.

"This is Bilbo Baggins and his nephew Frodo Baggins," Gandalf introduced the hobbits on his right. "And here we have Samwise Gamgee, Peregrin Took and Meriadoc Brandybuck." He waved to Hobbits on his left.

Toril got creepy feeling from Frodo. It must be the ring. Luckily, for her, the power of the ring was mostly focused on Frodo.

"Hi nice to meet you," said Meriadoc. "Please call me Merry and him Pippin."

"Hi," she chirped. "I'm Toril."

"Nice to see you again Miss Toril," said Samwise.

"You to Master Gamgee," she said and he blushed embarrassed.

"Please call me Sam," he said.

"Alright Master Sam."

"Are you really from different continent," Bilbo asked.

Toril nodded.

"What is it like?" He continued.

"It's very different and same in the same time," she said. At their confused faces she elaborate. "The technology is different but people are the same, although we don't have dwarfs, elves nor hobbits."

"So, only race of Men live there," he surmised.

"Not quite, we have many intelligent magical creatures there. Noted most are found of human flesh," she said shrugging.

"Have you met any?" Pippin asked.

"Of course she hasn't if she did she wouldn't be here Pip," Merry said looking at his friend like he was stupid.

Toril sweat dropped. "Actually I had the pleasure of meeting some of them."

Merry and Pippin stared at her. She looked around to see some occupants of the hall were listening to her as well. To be specific the elves with their greater hearing, however they tried to be settle about it.

"How come you met them?" Asked Frodo.

"Something happened that landed to spending a week in a swamp called Milsy Wetlands. This swamp is filed to the brim with deadly man-eating animals and magical creatures like Man-faced Ape, Hypnosis Butterfly and Noggin Lugging Tortoise."

Gandalf and hobbits looked confused.

"What?" She asked.

"What are these creatures." Asked Pippin.

"Well, the Man-faced Ape ha human like faces and can disguises them selves as humans. They lead you to the swamp where their group kill you and eat you." At this they looked sick but Toril didn't noticed. She was staring at her plate too busy remembering the animals. "Hypnosis Butterfly looks like really pretty butterflies, however they have nasty habit of making you fall asleep and then putting their larvae into you. The larvae will eat you from inside while you live. And Noggin Lugging Tortoise is just gigantic man-eating turtle. Of course these could be passed as less dangerous ones."

As she finished she spotted a plate with fish fillets and bowl of fresh salad.

"Ah, this looks so good." She served herself and started eating, never noticing what her explanation did to these who listen. Some elves apparently lost their appetite.

Yeah I know I lie a little about the creatures and the swamp but what ever.
