He was a spy, a enemy of the organisation he had been employed by.
His mission? To secure her. One of the most important people inside the Rebellion. To sneak her out of the cell that she was in.
As a member of the Rebel Alliance, he had been given this mission, one that he knew would mean that his cover would be blown.
But like her, they were unique.
Not Jedi. But Wizards.
His task was easy. He had to sneak into the detention cells of the Death Star to rescue General Hermione Granger, one of the leaders of the Rebellion. Second only to the Senior diplomat of the Alliance herself, Princess Leia Organa.
But this mission was also personal. Because he was in love with General Granger, and they had agreed to marry, days before she had been caught by Lord Vader.
The mission was simple: get in, grab her, and escape.
If he could do that, if he could rescue her, he would have helped save the Rebellion from losing one of its main leaders.
He knew that she would probably tell him off for his lack of strategy, but he wasn't worried about that. She always did anyway, so there was no point.
What mattered right now was getting her out of here alive.
There was only one problem. The Empire knew what he looked like.
So to undertake his spying mission, to work his way up to the top ranks of the Empire, he had had to disguise himself. Which was easy for a Metamorph.
He had changed his appearance. He had become an Imperial, which had taken years to achieve, but he had managed it. And now he had reached the level where he was able to infiltrate the Empire's own headquarters.
Which is where this mission came in.
His name... Colonel Tharpe Torry... or so the Empire thought. His real name...Harry potter
Walking in to the Command Centre, he saw his superior officer, Grand Admiral Martio Batch, waiting for him. Sitting at his desk, he looked up as he entered. "Colonel Torry."
Harry saluted his superior, hoping that his superior was still unaware of his true identity. "Good morning, sir."
"How was the mission on Tatooine?"
"No sign of any Rebellion sir." Harry paused, wondering how much information he should give away. He decided to tell the truth. "I was expecting them to be there though. No loss of Stormtroopers."
Batch smiled. "That's good to hear. The Emperor was quite insistent on you heading the mission."
"Yes sir."
"And your progress has been..." he stopped himself. "Very satisfactory."
Harry nodded, his Colonel Torry disguise that he had been wearing over the years still holding. "Thank you."
"I have one mission for you, before you can be relieved. We have a traitor in the ranks."
"We do?"
"An agent of the Rebel Alliance. Someone who has been working with the Rebels over the past few years. His name is Harry Potter. A wizard."
Harry felt his heart rate increase. "Sir?"
Batch leaned forwards. "He is a spy amongst us. I know he is, because he has been helping the prisoner that is in the detention block for a number of years. He may have been passing information to the Rebellion."
"Prisoner?"
Batch nodded. "The rebel Granger."
"So why haven't we caught him?"
"Simple. We know his latest mission. We have our own traitor in the Rebel Alliance... and he has told us that Potter's task is to break the Prisoner out."
Harry swallowed. "That's impossible. How does he expect to do that?"
"We don't know. But he is going to try. So you need to make sure he doesn't succeed."
"What will happen to Potter if he succeeds?"
"Then the Rebellion will have the plans to the Death Star... including information only a senior officer of the Imperial Navy knows."
Harry frowned, thinking hard. "How long until he attempts to get in?"
"Only a matter of hours, I think."
"I see. What is my mission then?" Harry asked, hoping he could save both the skins of General Hermione and himself.
"You must kill the Prisoner." Batch told him. "Any attempt to free her shall result in his death."
Harry hesitated. Especially as he knew that his own life was in jeopardy too.
"Do it, Colonel. And if you succeed, you will get promoted to Admiral. That, I can assure you."
Harry saluted, hoping that his cover wasn't blown.
As he headed to the detention block, he knew this was a loyalty test, but at the same time, he had his orders from the Alliance, and he was determined to protect the woman who he loved.
Heading into the detention block, he could see that the area surrounding the guards was busy.
Seeing how busy it was, Harry had the feeling that something wasn't right.
But he still had to do it.
Heading towards the guards, he saw one of them saluting him.
"Colonel Torrey, here on orders of Grand Admiral Batch. Prisoner 851813915145. I have been ordered to question the Prisoner."
The guard looked surprised. "We're not supposed to let you in without permission."
"You can confirm this with Grand Admiral Batch." Harry said. He didn't want to reveal his real identity just yet.
"Yes sir, but-"
"Now." Harry snapped at him.
The guard went to his radio and demanded to be patched through to the Grand Admiral. Harry counted down the seconds until he returned.
"I apologise for the delay. Grand Admiral Batch has confirmed the orders he has given you. Head to Interrogation Room 42 and we will arrange for Prisoner 851813915145 to meet with you there."
The guard turned to leave, but Harry was not finished with him. "No. I will head to the Prisoner's cell."
"Sir, that is against protocol."
Harry's wand released itself from its holster into his hand, and with one swift movement, he cast a area wide stunning spell. As all the guards fell to the ground, Harry ran in to the Detention block.
And found General Granger, sitting alone in the corner of the room, looking scared. Morphing back into his true identity, he walked over to her.
"General Granger," he said softly. "Are you okay?"
She looked up. "Hello Harry."
"Hey love. I'm sorry I took so long."
Opening the door, he cast some healing spells over her, intent on fixing the cuts and bruises that marred her face.
"Thank you." She whispered, tears forming in her eyes.
"Don't worry, it'll be fine." He reassured her. "We just have to get out of here first."
"Colonel Torrey... or should I say Harry Potter..."
Harry turned around to see Grand Admiral Batch standing there, a blaster in his hand.
"I have been watching you for some time, Potter." Batch told him. "You are a very sneaky man."
Harry cast a spell at the man who he had been forced to see as a boss. It hit him square in the chest and sent him flying backwards across the room.
As the man screamed in pain, Harry grabbed Hermione's hand, as a shot from Grand Admiral Batch's blaster flew past the couple.
"Quick, into the lift." Harry said.
They ran into the elevator and headed straight for the floor where Harry knew had a means of escape...
…the hangers for the TIE fighters.
"Do you still have your wand?" Harry asked.
"Yes." Hermione said, taking a bracelet off, using wandless magic to transfigure it back into her wand. "I hope you've got something in mind,"
"I've got a plan." Harry said confidently.
The elevator stopped, and as soon as they ran out of it, they started coming under blaster fire.
The two of them started casting spells, taking down the stormtroopers who were using their blasters. Heading towards a TIE fighter near the open hanger doors, they jumped in, Harry getting in the pilots seat.
Hermione climbed into the co-pilot's position, and the two of them fired up the engines, as a barrage of blaster bolts rained upon them.
"Get ready for take off!" Harry shouted, flicking switches. "Here we go!"
Trying to pull out of the hangar, the ship lurched forward, and Hermione screamed.
"Sorry love." He apologised.
Suddenly the hangar doors started closing. "Shit! They're sealing the hangar!" Hermione shouted.
"Ok, I'm pushing the power to maximum." Harry responded. Starting to move, the fighter began to take off, but the blast from a blaster hit them.
"Damn it!" Harry cursed. Pushing the power paddle as far as he could, they managed to make it through the door, just before it shut.
"Where are we going?" Hermione asked, looking out of the window.
"We're going to get out of here." Harry said. "We'll head straight to Yavin 4."
"Yavin 4?"
"Yeah, the Alliance has set up a base there." Harry said, plotting a course to the moon of the planet Yavin, located in the Outer Rim. "There's just one thing that concerns me."
"What's that."
"Back on the Death Star, Batch told me that there was a spy of the Empire's in the Alliance." Harry said, thinking. "A spy which revealed my identity."
"That shouldn't be right. I mean, unless..."
"Unless its Captain Andor, the Intelligence Officer of Rogue Squadron. If you remember, he was captured by the Empire on his last mission, just before you got captured."
"...and he is only one of 5 people outside of us two who knew your mission. He was Torry cleared." Hermione said, shocked.
"When I get my hands on him..." Harry growled.
"Harry, there's something else you need to know..." Hermione said.
Harry looked at her sharply. "What's that?"
"I'm... I'm pregnant." Hermione said, holding Harry's hand. "We're going to have a baby!"
Harry couldn't help but smile. "I'm going to be a dad?"
"Yes!" Hermione confirmed. "I was going to tell you before I got captured... but then I walked into that trap... and I never had the chance to."
Harry looked into her eyes. "It's alright."
"It's not. I'm carrying your child... and now we need to get him or her out of here."
Harry nodded. "I know. But we're going to be ok."
Harry steered the TIE Fighter out into space, and they began to head for Yavin 4. As they approached the moon, they started to come under fire.
"Cease fire. Cease fire." Hermione called out over the radio. "This is General Granger. Authentication Papa-Golf-Niner-Zulu."
Harry fley the TIE fighter closer to the moon's surface, trying to avoid getting hit.
"Identify yourself again." A voice came over the comms.
Harry looked at Hermione. "Can you do that?"
"This is General Granger. Authentication Papa-Golf-Niner-Zulu." She repeated, sounding far more confident than she had done when they'd spoken to the guards. "Copy?"
"Authentication denied."
Harry pressed his comms button. "Captain Oslov, this is Colonel Potter. Authentication Hotel-Papa-Eight-Romeo. You call off Rogue Squadron or I will make sure that you get busted down to droid maintenance. That is an order."
A few seconds later the voice returned to the comms. "Colonel Potter. Authentication Granted. Rogue Squadron has been called off, repeat, Rogue Squadron has been called off. You are requested to head to High Command as soon as you land."
Harry smiled. "Roger that. Over and out."
"When did they change the authentication codes?" Hermione asked.
"The day after you were captured." Harry said, landing the TIE fighter.
As they landed, they were surrounded by members of the Rebel Alliance, blasters aimed at the fighter. Opening the cockpit, Hermione exited the fighter first, followed by Harry. As the soldiers saw the two exit the fighter, they lowered their weapons.
"General Granger, Colonel Potter." the leader of the group said, saluting the two.
"Captain Oslov. Thank you for having some brains to obey orders. It seems that your friends have been compromised." Harry said, walking over to him.
"What do you mean?" the captain asked, looking worried.
"Rogue Squadron has been infiltrated an Imperial spy," Harry said, waving his wand to transfigure his Imperial Navy uniform to something more fitting to where he was. "He's probably already told the Empire everything about us."
"Who is it?" The Captain asked, his voice full of fear.
"That, we will only tell the High Command." Harry said, heading towards the building. Hermione followed, letting Harry handle things.
"Come on love, let's go." Harry said, grabbing her hand.
"So, what do you think?" Hermione asked Princess Organa.
They were in the High Command Office in the Rebel base on Yavin 4. Everyone had gathered to hear the information that Harry had brought back with him from the Empire.
"Well, I don't know why they would want to infiltrate the Rebellion, but I guess anything is possible with the Empire." Senator Mon Mothma replied. "Any idea who it might be?"
"We have our suspicions. It has to be someone who was Torry cleared." Harry said.
"Why do you say that?" Leia asked.
"Because if it was anyone else, they wouldn't have known who I was. There was some people who only had fringe information, like Captain Oslov, but the only one outside High Command that was Torry cleared was..."
"Captain Andor." Hermione finished.
"Exactly. He knew everything. So, he must be the spy."
"It makes sense," Senator Bail Organa said. "Us 4, you two and Captain Andor were the ones who knew the full Torry mission, and he only knew as Rogue Squadron was to be used in support."
"If we catch him, we'll put him on trial for treason." Leia said.
"But how do we even find him?" Harry asked.
Leia turned to Harry. "He has been wanting to be reassigned to the Scarif mission. An undercover agent infiltrates the Empire, and he wants to be transferred to another mission? Something doesn't add up."
"How about we let him transfer to that mission?" Senator Organa suggested. "That'll give us some kind of lead on who he is contacting in the Empire... and maybe eliminate them."
"Sounds good to me." Harry agreed.
"Good idea." Leia said. "We'll get him to transfer to the mission. And you, Colonel Potter-"
"I'm sorry ma'am, but I... I... General Granger and I..."
"Yes?"
"We've found out that we're expecting a baby." Hermione said.
Senator Organa burst out laughing. "Congratulations!"
Harry smiled. "Thank you."
"So, what happens now?" Hermione asked.
"Now, we get you married." Senator Mothma said. "General and General Potter..."
"General?" Harry asked, confused.
"You led one of the longest running missions, at great personal risk." Senator Organa said, smiling. "You deserve it."
"Oh, well... thank you."
"Is it magical? Your baby?" Princess Leia asked.
"I think so." Hermione said. "We haven't asked if its a boy or a girl, but either way, I know that if its a boy, then I hope Harry doesn't mind if I call him James, after Harry's dad"
"Well, if that's the case, then if its a girl, how about Rose Emma?" Harry said, having Hermione jump up and kiss him. "Hermione..."
"Don't worry General Potter." Senator Organa said, looking at the couple. "Your future son or daughter is going to be a very lucky young child."
"Thanks sir." Harry said.
"Now, let's get this wedding organised." Senator Organa said, clapping his hands together.
Captain Andor was nervous. His transfer to the Scarif had been approved, but he had a feeling that it was going to be a doomed mission. He couldn't shake the feeling that the Alliance was onto him.
Looking at his communicator, he sent a message. It was time to act.
"Captain Andor?" Came a reply.
"Admiral Batch." Andor said. "I've just received a new assignment by the Alliance."
"And what exactly is that?" Admiral Batch asked, suspiciously.
"I believe that it may be an attempt to kill me." Captain Andor said. "I request a meeting with you."
"Very well. I will send a transport to pick you up immediately." Admiral Batch said, "Meet it at Aalderan in 12 hours."
"Understood." Captain Andor said, ending the conversation.
Heading to the hangar, he began to pack his belongings into his ship. As he made his way to the transport, he stopped dead in his tracks. Looking around, he realised that he wasn't alone. A man stood behind him.
"Hello...Cassian."
Andor looked at him. "Potter..."
"I know who you leaked the information to... and they will be dealt with... but as for you, I can use you." Potter said, morphing into an exact copy of the traitor.
"What do you want?" Andor asked, surprised.
"I want the information of everything you have leaked." Harry said, casting a spell to tie the Captain up. "And I want it now. Or else."
"Or else what?" Andor asked.
"Or else I will execute you... myself."
