We're almost there. We're doing this for you Ruby. I promise we'll find you and bring you home.
Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladona and Yang Xiao Long were racing up the stairs as fast as they could.
Weiss is a pale-skinned young woman with pale blue eyes and long white hair that is often pulled back into an off-center ponytail or braid on the right side and pinned with a silver, icicle-shaped tiara. She stands at 4' 11" (1.5 meters), but typically wears heels that raise her height to 5' 3" (1.6 meters). Weiss has a scar which runs vertically down her left eye and face, gained during her battle against an Arma Gigas when proving to her father that she is in charge of her life. Her weapon of choice is Myrtenaster.
Her hair is now braided, and she has grown out her bangs and styled them to frame her face more closely.
She wears a pale blue sleeveless dress with deep red lining, bow detail fixture, and two diamond-shaped pieces hanging from the corners of the hem, over a white diagonal hemmed strapless dress. Above which she wears a vivid blue shrug with a raised collar, puffy sleeves and the Schnee emblem on the left sleeve, fastened by a blue, silver outlined strap. On her arms are a pair of long navy blue gloves with silver top trim surrounding a red gem at the top.
Over her dress, she wears a light blue, corset styled belt. Around her waist are three white belts with a medium-sized pouch attached to the lowest belt and another pouch attached to the middle belt. The lowest belt crosses over the middle belt. She wears long, pale blue wedge-heel boots with white frill detailing at the top at the front, alongside grayish blue coloring on the toes and navy blue wedged heels.
In addition, she wears a pair of ruby earrings that match her icicle-shaped tiara with a diamond-shaped ruby in the center.
Weiss' weapon, Myrtenaster, is standard-sized for a rapier and primarily silver-gray in color. The hilt possesses four prongs that encase the revolver-like chamber around the ricasso instead of a bow type hand-guard that is common among most rapiers, in a manner somewhat alike to a swept hilt. This mechanism can be controlled by the sword-hand, enabling her to seamlessly cycle the chamber in combat. When Weiss carries the weapon on her hip it is sometimes seen with only two prongs as the other two fold away for easier storage.
There are six slots in total, each of which contains a vial of Dust. The revolving chamber is constantly stocked with red, cyan, violet, white, yellow and blue Dust. Sometimes, when Weiss uses Dust, the blade glows in the color of the Dust she is using, but so far, this has only been seen with red Dust. In the "White" Trailer, white runes appear along the blade just before her final attack, but it is unknown if this function was scrapped or kept canon.
Weiss' combat style relies heavily on ricocheting off either surrounding surfaces or her glyphs, allowing her to take control of the fight by rapidly attacking from multiple angles to keep the enemy off balance. She has been seen utilizing this tactic with her Arma Gigas Summon, rapidly transporting it between glyphs to confuse and ambush the enemy in mid-strike. Her Semblance enables her to shift rapidly between offense, defense and evasion.
Blake is a fair-skinned young woman with wavy black hair and amber eyes. Her Faunus trait is a pair of black cat ears on top of her head. Her choice of weapon is Gambol Shroud.
Her hair to a shoulder-length bob. She changes her attire to a purple sleeveless catsuit with attached boots that has light purple soles and trim. The catsuit has a high neck with a single short silver zipper alongside matching zippers that run from her thighs to her ankles on the front of the legs. A pair of knee pads, matching color to the catsuit with silver studs on them are attached to the knees of the catsuit.
Her long, white tailcoat has desaturated purple detailing on the chest, sleeves, sides and collar alongside a dark purple detailing on the back. It has a narrow belt around the collar and a wide white belt loosely secured around her waist through the coat's belt loops. The belt has two pouches attached to the back. The coattails end in a point and the inside lining is vivid purple. The front zipper of the coat is upside down and extends to the very bottom of the coat, and there are additional zippers along the lower half of the sleeves with a single purple line running between the zipper and her shoulders. Around each wrist is a dark purple belted wristband and has a desaturated purple magnetic backpack on her back.
The essence of two weapon components is that they fit together as one, but come apart to be two, so that they are compact for easier carrying. When in sheathed form, Gambol Shroud was held by the hilt, but when two components separate, the sheath was held by a small rectangular hole near the top. The sword also had a compact, striker-fired pistol built into its hilt.
Gambol Shroud had a thick, gray sheath with a sharp edge, similar to that of an oversized cleaver. Although serving as a sheath, it can be used effectively as a weapon. Gambol Shroud, when unsheathed, appeared to be a dark gray wakizashi and was equally as effective as, if not more than, its sheath. Blake typically carried this duo on a magnetic sheet of metal strapped to her back.
The main part of the weapon consists of a semi-automatic pistol with the folding blade. A pistol lets out a large, prominent purple blast when fired. When the blade is folded, the weapon resembles a kama, with the pistol barrel pointed in the opposite direction of the edge. The blade itself is able to metal. The segment above the pistol muzzle is able to fold over the barrel of a pistol, often seen during the transformation sequence between pistol and sword modes, although it is unknown if this serves a particular purpose.
The end of a backsword's blade has a sharpened double-edge, terminating in a raised spike. The second edge is there to serve as the edge on the inner side of the pistol/sickle form's blade. The spike and double-edge also allowed Blake to have the main edge and the pistol barrel facing outward, while maintaining a potentially lethal hold on an enemy. After Adam Taurus broke the blade in half, the two halves were attached back together with a gold material upon arriving in Atlas.
Yang is a tall, fair-skinned young woman with lilac eyes and long, thick, wavy bright golden hair that fades to pale gold at the tips with a cowlick sticking out at the top, greatly resembling her mother. When her Semblance is active, her eyes become red and her hair gains a fiery glow.
Yang outfit primarily consists of khaki overalls, the gold zipper of which is unzipped just below the breast to reveal a white low-cut cropped tube top. Around the thighs of the overalls is a gold zipper and buckled strap that allows for the pants leg to be detached. The right leg is unzipped but still strapped to the overalls but the lower part is partially folded over. Over top of the coveralls, she wears a baggy, dark brown crop aviator styled jacket with fur trim around the neck and black-and-orange straps along the sleeves.
Around her waist is a black-and-orange belt with black-and-yellow folded fabric on the sides, which runs behind her with a pouch attached to it and a golden buckle of her emblem. She wears dark brown knee-high boots with black laces and top trim. For accessories, she has resumed wearing her orange scarf around her neck and her purple scarf around her right leg, like she did with her original battle outfit. She also has a black/brown strap with golden trim and a pouch wrapped around her left thigh.
Yang's fighting style is much more aggressive than that of her teammates. She uses a barehanded fist-fighting style and her weapons; Ember Celica. She is quite agile, able to dodge an onslaught of Ursai and gunfire with ease. Since gaining her prosthetic arm, Yang has taken to using its armored surface defensively, shielding herself from firearms, and staving off attacks to gain greater ground on her opponents, incorporating its advantages into her improved fighting style following further instruction from her father, Tai.
Yang's weapon is Ember Celica, which is radically different compared to those used by her teammates, being a pair of gauntlets which can retract into bracelets. Yang's fighting style involves combining her punches with explosive shots from Ember Celica for moderate or short-ranged attacks.
Ember Celica has powerful recoil, which Yang can use to augment the force of her punch and accelerate her movements. The force is powerful enough to launch her high in the air. The recoil also reloads and prepares the gauntlets for the next shot.
Yang's Semblance, Burn, lets her absorb kinetic energy from every blow she takes and use it to make herself more powerful; this is a form of kinetic energy absorption, with Yang subsequently redirecting said energy against her opponent with double the amount of force. As a side-effect of her Semblance, Yang's eyes turn red and her hair sometimes begins glowing and even becomes covered in flames. Yang's Semblance does not make her angry, but anger has sometimes led her to impulsively activate it.
After losing her arm in the Battle of Beacon to Adam Taurus she was given a new robotic arm by James Ironwood. She initially refused it due to depression, but after some time to reflect and heal, at least partially, Yang chose to use it, spray painting the new limb yellow to match her remaining Ember Celica.
The three had just managed to get past the main forces of Grimm, and stood looking towards the main cause of everything that has happened: Salem.
Salem's skin was currently a deathly pallor, with jet black sclerae in her eyes and glowing crimson irises that shine brighter when she is agitated. While she initially retained her half-bun hairstyle for her now bleached, pale white hair, she has since re-styled it into a larger bun with six offshoots wrapped together that also suspends several obsidian-colored ornaments. Over the passage of time, she has since grown dark purple veins that line her face and arms, and now has a black diamond-shaped marking in the center of her forehead.
She wore a long sleeved black partially exposed "cold shoulder" robe, ending in middle finger loops, with red trim flowing from her raised collar bordering through the vertical window exposing her bust, to the sides of her hips and three crimson stripes flowing all the way down to the bottom hem of her robe. Additionally, she has ornate light gray bone arm cuffs on her upper arms, and an elaborate, cross-shaped brooch with a rhombus-shaped ruby gemstone atop her clavicle, closing her outfit and forming the aforementioned slightly wider, diamond-shaped window. Completing her ensemble is a similar black cape with matching red trim, with a couple additional red gemstones hanging from her bun.
"So, the three heroes all have come to join against me?" she asked.
"We're doing this for Ruby Rose!" said Weiss.
"Ruby Rose?" asked Salem, "Ruby Rose? I remember a Summer Rose. Her screams of pain were music to my ears."
Yang's stoic face was broken with anger, and she screamed, hearing that this monster killed her mother!
Salem just back handed Yang, and summoned the relics together, as a white light filled the room.
Weiss, Blake and Yang all opened their eyes to see some people they knew well. There were 6 men, and 5 women, a young boy, and a dog.
One was a tall young man with fair skin, blond hair and dark-blue eyes. He is quite toned, having strong muscles in his arms, shoulders, and upper chest. wearing a high collar black shirt under a re-modified pure white chest plate that covers a bit more of his upper abdomen and similarly-colored bracers. Both the chest plate and the bracers are trimmed with gold, and he once again wears two shoulder pads. He retains his gloves and sash except he now wears dark navy jeans and dark brown boots. His weapon, Crocea Mors, is a simple sword that is passed down by his family.
Another was a young man with long black hair that ends midway down his back. There is a magenta streak on the left side of his hair. His eyes match the streak in his hair, and his clothing often appears to be influenced by Chinese culture. He wears a sleeveless turtleneck dark green top, white long sleeves underneath, black half of a jacket/arm guard combination on his right arm with his father's dagger attached it, a single detached long black fingerless glove on his left arm, and black leather boots. His choice of weapon, Stormflower, is a pair of green bladed
Another was a fair-skinned young woman with orange hair and turquoise eyes. She wears a long, pink and white sleeveless coat with light blue lapels and white-collar belted closed by a black belt with a pouch on the left side, over a black short dress. The front of the coat has two heart shape cutouts near to the bottom. On the upper back of her coat is a small pair of decorative metal wings with a magnet in the middle that she can attach Magnhild to. She also has long detached white sleeves with black fingerless gloves, white stockings light blue socks and black boots with silver heels, sole and toe plates. In addition, she wears matching metal bands on her upper arms with her emblem on them alongside silver metal bands around her thighs. Her weapon of choice is Magnhild, which can transform into a grenade launcher and a war hammer, which Nora uses proficiently in combat. She uses the grenade launcher form for ranged strikes on her opponent. In its ranged form, the face of the launcher can unhinge, revealing six grenades that can be fired at once for maximum damage.
Next to Blake, was a pair of Faunus. One has cat ears like Blake, her ears are noticeably larger in size and have more fur details. She has short hair and three gold piercings on her cat ears - two on her right, and one on her left. She wears a black hakama and sandals with white tabi socks. Over her outfit, she wears a black shrug with a long right sleeve and a short left sleeve, gold-leaf trim adorning the opening on the front. She wears long, black arm warmers that extend to the middle finger. The left warmer has a purple band tied around the top and a pair of gold bangles around the wrist. Around her waist is a black and gold sash that trails behind her, with a gold flower-shaped buckle at the end.
The other is a tall, muscular Faunus with black hair, a thick beard and yellow eyes. For his top, he wears an open dark-violet coat with white fur trim, exposing a patch of black fur on his chest. Over his beige pants is a matching sash that wraps around his waist and is secured with a large, silver metal buckle. On the shoulder of his coat is a silver metal spaulder, which through a pair of curved strips across the chest attaches as a clasp on the opposite front panel of the coat. The white toes of his black leather boots have a shape reminiscent of paws with claws at the tips. His physique is in general quite hairy, as what little can be seen of his bare arms and the backs of his wrists are shown to be covered in thick, black fur. He also possesses retractable panther claws in his fingertips.
With Weiss, there were two women, and a bald man, and the young boy.
One of the women is a tall and fair-skinned young woman with slate-blue eyes, dark eyebrows, and long white hair. The latter of which tied back in a bun that is high on the left side of the back of her head, along with bangs along right side of her face and a small curled lock of hair down the left just above her shoulder.
She was wearing a white collared undershirt, a necktie that connects to her new brooch, and a girdle underneath the lapels of her coat. She wears navy blue gloves and pants and sports a Dust pouch around her waist. Winter's choice of weapon are her swords. She shows great skill when wielding them, displaying above-average speed, agility and reflexes in combat. She is able to both start moving and stop in an instant. Just like Weiss, her semblance is using glyphs and summoning.
The other woman is a fair-skinned woman with slate-blue eyes. She wears her white hair in a low ponytail over her left shoulder. Her attire consists of a white cravat secured by a silver brooch set with a red stone, as well as a light purple jacket with light sleeves, a wide belt around her waist, a matching pencil skirt with black tights and slippers.
The young boy has white hair and light blue eyes with a fair complexion. His hair is mostly pushed to left, although he does have a cowlick. His attire consists of a short-sleeved white dress shirt, the sleeves fastened just above his elbows by navy blue cuffs, each with twin gold buttons. Over his untucked shirt, he wears a light blue vest, with a black handkerchief in his right breast pocket. He also wears a black necktie, navy blue trousers and black dress shoes.
The bald man is a short, slightly heavyset man with balding brown hair and a large mustache. He typically has light brown eyes but appears to have the ability to change their color temporarily to red, light blue and yellow, accompanied by changes in tone of voice. He wears a white dressed collar shirt with black bow and jacket, dark brown trousers, and dressed shoes.
The last two woman were one that Weiss Blake and Yang thought they lost. The first woman wore a brown overbust corset with a vertical strip of lighter brown in the center. Additionally, Pyrrha wore an elastic, black, A-line mini skirt and brown opera-length gloves on both arms. She wore a red ankle-length sash that wrapped around her skirt. As for accessories, there was a small circular bronze plate on her right hip opposite two pouches with both connected to a belt. The plate bore her emblem. Underneath her hair, she always wore a brown circlet adorned with a pair of small, green, teardrop-shaped emeralds on thin chains. She also sported a large bronze gorget around her neck and a bronze bracelet on the upper half of her left arm.
The last woman had silver eyes, black hair with red tips, had shoulder-length hair tied back in a half-up/half-down style and wore a hooded cloak which is white outside and red underneath. Under that cloak is a similar outfit to her daughter's but mostly black: a high-neck décolletage blouse with studded wristbands on the arms, a black and white overbust corset, a skirt with white tulle underneath, gray leggings, and knee-high boots with red soles.
"PYRRHA!/MOM!"
"Jaune, what happened?" asked Pyrrha.
"Yang, is that you? You've grown up so much. Where are we?"
"Blake, where are we?" asked her mother Kali.
"Weiss, what is this?" asked Weiss's sister, Winter.
Just then, a purple figure with horns appeared before the people.
"The God of Darkness," whispered Blake.
"I'm sorry, but the world you know has been destroyed, and so has the woman who did it," said the God of Light.
Everyone gasped in horror, until the God of Darkness said, "However, we had seen you all fighting for the better. So, as a reward for your work, we will send you to a new world, the one where SHE is."
"She?" asked Yang.
"Just know, she has changed a bit."
"Wait," said Nora, "Why are you doing this?"
The God of Darkness looked at them, and said, "I may prefer darkness, but I'm not all heartless."
The light dissipated, and everyone looked around to see a new stadium. They walked in, and they heard people cheering, and the newcomers looked from the side lines.
"What is this?" asked Weiss.
"I don't know," said Nora, "but it seems to be amazing!"
"I think it's a tournament of some sorts," said Ren.
"Hey, look at the board!" said Tai.
They looked at the board, and it said, Pokemon Tournament about to begin!
"Welcome to this year's Pokemon Tournament! Tonight, we have what you've all been waiting for, the finals! Two trainers left, only one will prevail! To the left, we have the challenger, Marcus!"
The crowd cheered for the boy.
"To the right, we have the 5 time undefeated, raining champion!"
The figure was in a red hood, and then, she took it off, and the crowd went wild as the announcer said, "RUBY ROSE!"
"It's Ruby!" cried Yang.
"She's a champion?" asked Pyrrha.
"How is she here!?" asked Tai.
"My little rose, all grown up," said Summer.
Soon, the announcer said, "Now, LET THE BATTLE BEGIN!"
The crowd went wild, while Ruby held a ball.
"Go, Gengar!"
From the ball, came a purple ghost like creature!
Marcus threw one as well, and said, "GO SANDSLASH!"
"Use Shadow Ball!"
"Sand attack!"
Soon, the two battled, and Markus lost the battle, with a large plant like creature fainting.
"And once more, Ruby Rose, the champion of the Pokemon World, has won!"
"You did it Charizard!" cried Ruby.
"RAAAAAAAAAARRRR!"
Charizard then returned to the ball, and Ruby waved to the adoring fans. The others were amazed that Ruby was not afraid of this attention. After a few autographs, and pictures, Ruby headed off to her house. It was a nice little place, and she loved her new life. But deep down, she missed everyone back home. She had pictures of them on the walls, and on her scroll. While she didn't fight anymore, she still practiced self defense with her scythe incase she was attacked herself.
Her thoughts were interrupted by the door knocking.
"Coming!"
Ruby opened the door, and saw some faces she never thought she'd see again.
"G-Guys?"
"RUBY!"
Everyone then tackled her to the floor, except Klien, Winter, Willow, and Whitely, and she groaned, "Air!"
Everyone got off her, and she gave everyone proper hugs this time.
"Ruby, you're alive!?" asked Weiss, "How!?"
"Well, after Beacon, I woke up here, and I became a Pokemon Master."
"A what?" asked Blake.
"This is called Earth, the world of Pokemon. It's here, that people and Pokemon co-exist. Some study them, some work with them, but most battle with them. After I disappeared, I went on this great journey."
Ruby then stopped at two certain individuals.
"Mom? Pyrrha!?"
"Hello again."
Ruby put the two in bone crushing hugs.
"Now, Ruby, could you please explain what happened?" asked Nora.
"Just a minute," said Ruby, hugging her mother hard.
After 2 minutes, Ruby let go, and said, "Well, I should explain what happened from the beginning.
Remnant, 5 years ago, Fall of Beacon...
Ruby ran up the side of Beacon Tower, and she landed at the top, only to see Pyrrha shot, and turned to Dust.
"PYRRHA!"
Everything went white, and Ruby then woke up to see a light over her. She looked to see Crescent Rose on the counter, and she looked to see herself on a table.
"What is this?" asked Ruby.
"That is the big question," said a voice.
Ruby looked up to see a man. He is a middle aged Pokémon professor with gray hair and sports a light lilac polo shirt underneath his labcoat. He wears a brown belt supporting his beige pants along with matching brown loafers.
"Hello, I'm Professor Oak. And who are you, and what is the last thing you remember?"
"My name is Ruby Rose, and the last thing I remember was climbing up the side of the tower, and... PYRRHA!"
"Who?"
"P-P-Pyrrha! I was too late. I saw her... cremated before my eyes, and that woman, Cinder, she... she just smiled at the sight!"
Oak sat down next to Ruby as she sat there.
"I'm so sorry for your loss. Now, I just saw you appear in a light, and I have a feeling that you might not be from here. Where are you from?"
Ruby then proceeded to tell Professor Oak all about Remnant, Beacon, Huntsmen and Huntresses, and the Grimm, all up to the Fall.
"I"m so sorry you had to go through that."
Oak then hugged Ruby, and said, "I'm afraid I can't help you get back to this Remnant, but I can give you a new home."
Ruby looked at him, and sniffed, "What?"
Professor Oak then lead Ruby to a room, and said, "This is the world of Pokemon. The world is filled with all sorts of unique creatures called Pokemon. We live along side them, studying them, and working with them. Now, please fill these papers out, and we can give you a license."
Ruby filled it out, and said, "Okay, now what?"
"Now, you choose your partner."
The professor pulled out three balls, and threw them up. From them, came three creatures.
"First off, there's Squirtle, a water type."
"Squirtle!"
"Charmander, a fire type."
"Charmander!"
"And Bulbasaur, a grass type."
"Bulbasaur!"
Squirtle is a small reptilian Pokemon that resembles a light-blue turtle While it typically walks on its two short legs, it can run on all fours if needed. It has large, purplish or reddish eyes and a slightly hooked upper lip. Each of its hands and feet have three pointed digits. The end of its long tail curls inward. Its body is encased by a tough shell that forms and hardens after birth. This shell is brown on the top, pale yellow on the bottom, and has a thick white ridge between the two halves.
Charmander is a bipedal, reptilian Pokemon with a primarily orange body and blue eyes. Its underside from the chest down and the soles of its feet are cream-colored. It has two small fangs visible in its upper jaw and two smaller fangs in its lower jaw. A fire burns at the tip of this Pokémon's slender tail and has blazed there since Charmander's birth. The flame can be used as an indication of Charmander's health and mood, burning brightly when the Pokémon is strong, weakly when it is exhausted, wavering when it is happy, and blazing when it is enraged. It is said that Charmander would die if its flame were to go out. However, if the Pokémon is healthy, the flame will continue to burn even if it gets a bit wet and is said to steam in the rain.
Bulbasaur is a small, quadrupedal Pokemon that has blue-green skin with darker patches. It has red eyes with white pupils, pointed, ear-like structures on top of its head, and a short, blunt snout with a wide mouth. A pair of small, pointed teeth are visible in the upper jaw when its mouth is open. Each of its thick legs ends with three sharp claws. On Bulbasaur's back is a green plant bulb, which is grown from a seed planted there at birth. The bulb also conceals two slender, tentacle-like vines and provides it with energy through photosynthesis as well as from the nutrient-rich seeds contained within.
Ruby looked at the creatures, and asked, "How did they fit inside those things?"
"To be honest, I don't know. But, you may pick your starter."
Ruby looked at them all, and said, "I choose this one."
"You picked Charmander? Very well. I hope you will have a strong bond with him. If you like, you can even give him a nickname."
"A nickname?"
Ruby looked at Charmander, and said, "I can't think of one. So, I'll stick with Charmander."
"Very well. Now, first, you'll need these, your Poke balls
"your Pokedex."
"The Poke balls are for catching wild Pokemon, and you can tame them, and they can evolve as they get stronger."
"Wow," said Ruby.
"The Pokedex will collect data about the Pokemon that you collect. It has been my dream to have a complete Pokedex, and have all the Pokemon within this region. Will you help me?"
"You mean like a field researcher?"
"Yes. I'm getting too old for all this, so I need help."
Ruby smiled, "Okay, Charmander and I will help out."
"Great. Oh, before I forget, here's your Badge Case."
"when you travel, you can enter Gyms that will give you badges when you challenge them."
Ruby took her things, and looked at them all.
"And here is Charmander's Poke Ball. You can carry only six Pokemon at a time. And to have them return to their Poke Balls, simply say the Pokemon's name, and return."
"Oh, um, Charmander, return."
A red stream then hit Charmander, and he went into the Poke Ball.
Ruby then headed out, and looked at the world.
"Well, might as well start this journey. I'll be a new person, and protector as well."
