Atop a hill stood a woman, wearing a black dress, stared at the night sky.
"The moon..." she gazed at the giant rock in the sky.
"It seems to be shining brighter" she raised her hand, as if reaching for something.
This woman gazing at the moon was the Goddess of the night, the most feared deity, and the first one to descend unto earth, Nyx.
She looked down and noticed that her children were done playing and went down to meet them.
As soon as they noticed her presence, they faced her, and kneeled.
"You have done well, my children".
"They insulted and harmed our Captain, it is only natural for us to do this" Her vice captain replied.
"Quite right I suppose" she looked towards the bloodied men behind her children and was satisfied with their handiwork.
"Will we travel towards the labyrinth city now, Goddess?" was the question of the silver haired vampire.
"Unfortunately, I have some matters to attend to in Edas village, so I might arrive a few days after you" the goddess replied.
"Then I'll tag along and protect you!" the crimson haired girl said cheerfully.
"Allow me to accompany you as well my lady, the night is unpredictable, and the winds grow uneasy" the hooded man in purple insisted.
"Thank you, you may depart now, I will just dispose of the source of this trash" the children nodded and left with the exception of the hooded man and the crimson haired woman.
The Goddess of the Night walked towards a redheaded man that was tied up in the middle of the massacre.
"H-Hey now, c-can't we talk this out N-Nyx?" he nervously asked, only to receive slap .
"Oh Apollo, I was always merciful towards you wasn't I? Always covering for YOUR mistake up in heaven, and how do you repay me?" she eyed him as he tried to find some sort of excuse.
"Ah yes, by not only insulting the strength of one of my children, but also having one of yours harm him, evidently he overpowered you, but what you did was unforgivable".
"W-Wait, I-I can still offer you something, so-some gold, or maybe even some of my men! I-I promise you, I still have some uses!" Nyx took a thinking pose before looking at him and smiled.
"I suppose there is one thing you could be used for" Apollo smiled at those words and thanked her over and over for giving him another chance, until he heard her next words.
"My pet's haven't been fed yet, but I suppose even someone like you could fill up their bellies" he heard growling behind him and looked back to see two wolves that just got done feasting on his familia's insides.
not even a minute later, screams were heard and nearby villages and merchants saw a giant beam of light.
As if a switch had been flipped, she turned to her remaining children and smiled brightly.
"Shall continue on with our journey?" she asked them
Being used to their goddess's ways, they only nodded, with the hooded man spouting some nonsense about the wonders of the night.
