Okay, so I am back with a new story concept. I lost my microsoft subscription. This will be a new story set in eclipse and yes, it will still be JasperxOC because I like Jasper.

I don't own Twilight, Only my OC's

Chapter 1

I had been living in Jacksonville for about years now. My sister, Bella, lived in Forks with our father. Charlie adopted me when I was two after he and my mom got married. He's always been a good guy and never treated me any differently from Bella. He has also been my biggest supporter, even when my mother couldn't. Renee and I always got along okay, but she and I never really saw eye to eye. Things got a bit more strained after she remarried Phil. He never bothered to try and build a relationship with me like he did my sister. We didn't have anything in common and I chose to not stick around. Even though they live maybe thirty minutes from me, I've seen my mom maybe six times since they moved here.

Bella and I were close, though we haven't seen each other in awhile. I missed her like crazy.

I was excited to learn that she was coming down for the weekend with her boyfriend Edward. Renee gushed over him, but Charlie wasn't as fond of him. He had a lot of respect for Edward's family, but the dude had lost major points (rightfully so) after the mishap in Phoenix and the latest Italy drama. Funny enough, Renee was actually more upset than he was over Italy. Still, I tried to withhold judgment even if the dude was a walking red flag.

I know he had been present when Bella had called me last night saying they were making an impromptu trip down here. She also asked that I don't tell mom, but make sure she was in lead to a very suspicious Renee, but she had been bugging me to come over for a few days, so I doubt she minded too much. Dad had called as well, when Bella had mentioned coming down, since she wanted to spend a bit of time with me and that required schedule checks as well as permission to miss school.

So here I was on a Thursday evening, eagerly checking my phone for the flight status and waiting on my sister. I couldn't wait to see her again and show her around. I knew that we wouldn't have much time to spare here, but we'd get more when I returned to Forks with her. I had asked her not to pass it along to anyone else, since I wanted it to be a surprise. I told her that they could stay the night and then I would drop her off with Mom and Phil at their house. I planned to go up to Forks before them.

"Lissa!" I heard from behind me.

My sister threw her arms around me just as I whipped around to reciprocate.

"Your hair is so different. It's very pretty though."

"Thank you! I thought it was a nice change. The sun bleaches everything around here if you stay long enough, so color options are limited."

"Oh! This is Edward, by the way."

Her boyfriend in question wore a tight smile and had his hand outstretched.

"It's a pleasure to meet you. Bella's told me many wonderful things about you."

I took his hand and shook it. It was cold as ice, which for this climate, was a bit of a refreshing change.

"Likewise. I've heard a bit more about you and your family from Dad. Fear not though. He kind of needed someone fairly neutral after Italy, though even before that he was asking me to consider moving at least up to Seattle to be a bit closer. Well, until the crime rate went back up."

Both looked away, mixed emotions flashing across their features. Bella recovered quickly though.

"Charlie will get his wish for a little while then. It'll be nice living under the same roof again for a bit. Even if you do hog the one bathroom we have in the house and forget to add to the grocery list of anything you take the last of. Plus, I really have missed you."

"When did you two last live together, if I may ask?" Edward asked as he grabbed their luggage from the carousel.

I thought for a moment before speaking.

"Hmm… I guess it was about five years ago? I was sixteen. Mom and I got into a pretty big fight and she gave me an ultimatum. I chose to take the deal that said I wasn't allowed to live there anymore. I could've stayed with dad, but I chose not to. He did get her to agree to sign off on some school and work permits so that I could stay fairly self sufficient."

Bella quickly changed the subject back to my joining her in Forks.

"I can't wait for you to meet Edward's family. They're all very nice; and I think you will really like Alice."

"Yes, they'll all be happy to meet you. My adopted parents and siblings love Bella like family, and my sister Alice is especially excited to meet you. She's always looking for a new friend to shop with."

"More like a new victim. Seriously, this girl will put even your habits to shame. I will be very surprised if you come back and say you ever want to go out shopping again."

"Someone more extreme than me? That's a first. Sounds like an interesting challenge."

I mused, packing their suitcases in the trunk. The conversation died as we headed to the flat I shared with my best friend. Something about Edward was really throwing me off, but I wasn't sure why. It had something to do with his eyes. He kept furrowing his brows every time I would glace his way.

It finally clicked once we'd hit our destination. Standing in the living room were my friend's Siamese cats Stella and Eloywynn, hissing at Edward. They only had ever reacted that way to one other guest. That guest had red eyes. I narrowed my eyes, wondering how the hell my little sister got mixed up with a vampire and why his eyes were gold. He gaped at me then, so I must've let it slip aloud.

"How do you know about vampires?"

And… End scene. I thought about dragging this out a bit more, but I haven't written in a few years so I am not sure if anyone will have even the slightest interest in it. Please feel free to leave reviews; they keep me going with writing!
