There was a crisp autumn air in the breeze, and Hotel Transylvania, the first hotel where humans and monsters can live together, is very peaceful and quiet.

Suddenly, there were a bunch of police cars outside of the building. What was happening? Is there a robbery? Did someone vandalized something?

"Everyone stand back!" said a police officer. There was yellow police tape, and police vehicles surrounding the hotel.

"Please, please settle down!" Dracula told everyone. "What's going on in there?" asked a news reporter. "Well." said Dracula, as he wiped his brow. "I would like to tell you, but I don't think I could until my new manager gets here.".

A limo soon drives up to the scene. "Look, there he is!" said one of the human bystanders. The door opened and a person with orange curly hair and shades stepped out of the vehicle. He then goes towards the hotel.

"Dennis, I'm so glad you came!" Dracula said, as he panics.

"Talk to me, Drac." said Dennis, as he goes towards the hotel.

"Well, it started off as a simple order of dead cow, served with cheese slices in-between two slices of bread." Dracula exclaimed, as Dennis listened, "What you guys call, burgers with cheese.".

Dennis then took out a bubble wand, and blew a bubble. "So, what went wrong?" he asked.

"When the customer took a bite..." said Dracula as he is sweating up with pressure. "NO CHEESE!" he screamed.

Dracula then starts to cry, but Dennis then turned into a bat and with his wing, slapped Dracula in the face. "Get ahold of yourself, Dracula!" said Dennis, now becoming serious. "I'm going in.".

In the snack bar of the hotel, there was a swamp monster who was cowering in fear. Dennis then opened the door, and flew towards the victim. "W-W-Who are you?" said the swamp monster, as Dennis turned back into his normal self. "I'm the manager of this establishment here" he calmly told the monster. "Everything is going to be just fine.".

"But I'm really scared here, man!" the swamp monster told Dennis. "Do you have a name?" Dennis asked the monster. The monster told Dennis that his name is Phil. "You've got a family, Phil?" Dennis continued asking. Phil was whimpering, he tried to say something but is too nervous. "Come on Phil, stay with me." Dennis snapped. "Let's hear about that family!".

Phil's confidence returned. "Well, I have a wife named Debbie, and two beautiful children.". "That's great." Dennis happily said. He then puts a briefcase on the table, and opens it up. Inside of the briefcase, there was a bunch of tools.

"Now let me just find the right tool for the job." Dennis said, skimming through his briefcase. "Bingo!" he said with serious excitement.

He carefully pulled out a pair of safety gloves, and grabbed tweezers. He then turned towards Phil. "Now Phil, I want you to do me a big favor." Dennis said. Phil was confused, "And what's that?".

Dennis then told Phil, "Open up, and say cheese.".

Meanwhile, Dracula was pacing back and forth, while the other humans and monsters are worried themselves. The doors then opened, and Dennis gave out the good news.

"As the chef says, 'Order up'!".

Everyone cheered as they picked up the young boy in their hands. "Three cheers for the manager!" everyone shouted. "Hip, hip, RING!" they cheered. But to Dennis' surprise, instead of saying 'Hooray', they sounded like an alarm clock.

Dennis then suddenly realized that it was all a dream, as he woke up from his bed and turned off his alarm clock.

"Hooray!" Dennis said, "Tinkles, I had that dream again!". Dennis' pet dog Tinkles is sleeping right at the other side of the room. Dennis then turns into a bat and flies towards a calendar.

"And today's the day! Sorry about this calendar." he said as he ripped off one of the pages, with the date now reading: September 23rd. "Cebause, today is the grand opening of the new management station, where Papa Drac announces a temporary manager until they started hiring!".

Tinkles tilted his head in confusion, but Dennis can clearly understand what he's trying to say. "Who's it going to be?" Dennis asked his giant pet dog. "Well," Dennis chuckled as he showed Tinkles a bunch of photos on the wall, "Who's been recognized in the hotel 176 times in a row?".

The pictures all said in unison, "Dennis Dracula-Loughran!".

"I have to get ready!" said Dennis. He first went downstairs and had a bowl of cereal for breakfast, then he went back into his bedroom, and picked out his favorite clothes, and finally went to the bathroom to brush his fangs. "Cleanliness is right next to managerliness." he thought.

Authors notes: This is my first fanfiction, and I am going to be working on this story, for a long time, but I am going to be posting the second chapter afterwards, so stayed tuned for that.

I also added in Dennis' pet dog, Tinkles, because this fanfiction takes place between the events of HT2 and HT3, and since Tinkles first appeared in the HT short 'Puppy', it would be coincidental to add him in the story.
