Gone Awry
by Muirinn
Summary: -drabble- -Archer, Reed, Sato- Another away mission gone awry… (Humor-ish?)
Blanket disclaimer for series (since I forgot in the first chapter...): If I owned it, we'd see more action and less romance, because I'm apparently jaded. Enterprise and its characters and concepts are owned by people other than me; I merely write for my own - and hopefully others' - entertainment.
Note after the drabble.
Captain Archer knew his crew – he'd hand-picked them, after all – and knew who to count on for a smooth away mission. He made it his priority.
It was just that he never quite expected his Chief of Security to be laid low by a fountain in the town square. A bit of jostling in a crowd, an unexpected fall, a splash and suddenly Archer was trying to find a way to calm an anxiety attack.
Malcolm hadn't been kidding about aquaphobia.
He glanced up at a very startled Hoshi, and sighed. Chalk this up as another away mission gone awry.
A/N: Ok, I pick on Malcolm. Who doesn't? And I am sorry; I treated the phobia a bit lightly, but all I have to say in my defense is that sometimes such things have to snickered at. I'll make it up to Malcolm, I promise – probably with a bit of a story that treats the phobia not quite so lightly.
